My cat hobbies: Curl up somewhere where she can keep an eye on Dallas as he plays.

How We Met
Late last year, I finally decided to get a cat or cats. I started perusing the local classifieds and found an ad for a mother Ragdoll cat and three kittens being sold by a breeder who was getting out of the business. I called about them and was told that only the mother and one male kitten were left. I made an appointment and went to visit them. The owner was an older fellow who was having health problems and was no longer able to care for them. He told me they were not pedigreed, the price we agreed to was about half that of pedigreed cats. I was smitten with them and loved their beautiful colors and sweet, well mannered ways. I knew that I could not separate them, they would have to be together. So, home they went. I have since decided that they are actually Birmans rather than Ragdolls, based on my informal research. It has been a real joy to have Rose and Dallas in my life, I thank God every day for sending them to me, and pray that they will have long, happy lives with me.
ANNOUNCEMENT: Rose is going to the vet to be spayed tomorrow, 5-14-10. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
Update: Rose was spayed and has recovered quite nicely. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.

The temperature was high 60 & low was 43 this morning, now it's 57 with humidity 55% & wind is 3 MPH. Saturday's suppose to be Cloudy & 58.

Hope you two are having a good day. I'm just playing lazy today. Had a long week at the arena, I was over there every night this week, so today is rest day..There is quite a few in my family, 5 of us. We get along most of time but every now and then we do have our squabbles, then everything is ok again. thanks for checking up on stairway and for the complements. she is feeling much better. normally, when stairway comes inside, she hangs around casually in the rooms. but she became so fed up with having to stay outside, that she just ran in as quick as she could and found her spot right away. as long as she doesnt hide under the bed, all is fine. but arent birmans such stubborn things! still, you have to love them with their beautiful fur and sweet faces Come visit me, Hanger 18, Kashmir & Stairway.

Thanks for coming to visit me. I miss my family very much, but it is so wonderful up here, how could I not be happy! My Mommy is having a really hard time moving on. I know she still cries a lot. I do my best to comfort her. I know that one day she will move on, but will never forget me.

I am writing to you today about our Mouse Hockey League. Many of your friends have enjoyed playing this new sport with us this past season. Our players are young and old, male and female, and breeds of all types. If you are a live cat, you are eligible. We are expanding the league size this year and are looking for many new kitties to make up the new teams. All games are simulated by computer, so your physical presence is NOT mandatory at game time. Many cats check the game results later to see how their team fared and to check out their personal performance. If you would like your CC membership to be more exciting and are looking for greater interaction with other kitties, mouse hockey may be your answer. New teams are forming NOW. If you are interested, please visit Scamper's page (#39429) for more information. Since Scamper currently has his hands full with early returns by new recruits, I am helping him, for the time being, by sending out more solicitations and organizing the responses, allowing his efforts to be more efficient. Please reply to ME with your questions or to sign up. If two kitties from your household wish to play, please indicate if they prefer the same team assignment or if they would prefer to compete on separate teams. (If you wish to be a goalie for your team, you might mention that, also.) We will try to accommodate any special requests you may have. There are NO fees, and virtual uniforms and equipment are provided. We need you and hope you will seriously consider enriching your CC experience by being a part of this activity. How's the purring going today?
We've been bored on these winter days, so Mommy brought some new toys home! Boy, are we having fun chasing those new balls, jumping at the feather wand, and even fighting over some play mice. stairway's kittens were given away a few months ago. one of them to a neighbor, but the kitten still comes over every day. she is a very sweet kitten who only wants to be loved. poor dear. kashmir and stairway used to hiss at her, but now they are all getting along. the kitten is so friendly, even close friends with the neighbor's pug. it is very cute. but im sure dallas is a sweet wonderful baby, and doesnt give you too much trouble. treats for the sweets!Come visit me, Hanger 18, Kashmir & Stairway.

hello rose! we just got back from visiting your sweet kitten, dallas. we have been wondering lately if stairway is really a birman. the vet said she was siamese, but she looks and acts more like a birman, except for those long statue like sittings and starings. that is her only siamese act. wonderful meeting you and your little one. a vote for you as well!Come visit me, Hanger 18, Kashmir & Stairway.
