This is kelsee {Snicks g/f}...I have a question for you...how would you like to play Hockey with us?? you can be on KCK with Snick and all the others, the entire Zoo is on the team {minus the Angels}.

If you don't want to play maybe you can ask Zoe & Sammy or Willow & Sawyer. I am also asking Angel Pumpkin if she'd like to play..we only have Angel Sammy & Angel Lucy.

MOM IS STUMPED!!

SO...Per Spanky-Jacks #38743 suggestion,mom is having a 'name The Cat Contest' for our new ex-stray cat,temporaily being called 'Handsome'. The contest will start on 5/31/11 {after Memorial Day} and run through 6/10/11 to give all a chance to participate~so spread the word to all your furiends in case mom misses someone! Prizes WILL be awarded for the following catagories: (1.) NAME CHOSEN (2.) FUNNIEST NAME (3.) STRANGEST NAME-----JUDGES will be-Me,Bartholomew[with mom's help] Dad,and The Irish Clan's mom,Aileen.

We have two things to share with you today~First of all....THE PEACH STATE CATS HAVE A NEW MEMBER!!! Thats right-even 'tho mom PROMISED there would be no more kitties here! Don't think I didn't remind her of that fact too!! Well,mom hedged around that she meant they would not BRING any more kitties here,and that she had NO control over one 'adopting' us! YUP-this kitty just showed up and refuses to leave. Believe you me,I did my best to 'encourage' him to move on.He would not budge! But,all is good now and we only swat each other occasionally. He is a handsome boy[mom's words,NOT mine!] He is longhaired,brown-ticked and intact,for now.If I know mom,this boy will be 'fixed' real soon,mol! Mom is having trouble thinking of a name for him,so for now she is calling him 'Handsome'. What kind of name do you think would suit him? I sure don't want mom calling him Handsome-it would probably go to his head!

Second-mom did some work on the Past Cats Memory page #190308. She removed some of the pictures of kitties that had not died,but were rehomed for various reasons-mainly uncontrolled aggresion.They all got only kitty homes! Mom is keeping this page for kitties that have passed. She also spent most of yesterday[Saturday] making nice frames for all the cats. This was a labor of love,as she had to look at a lot of frames to find the purrfect one for each cat. The pics are in order of their passing starting with moms first Charlir on page two and ending with Meanie,who we lost this past March 13th on page one. We hope you enjoy looking at the pics as much as we do. They were all so very special and loved. Special prayers go out to all who have lost a precious furbaby recently or in the past! How Do YOU Cover Your Poo?

Thats right kitties-we want to know your litter box habits! WHY? Well,we felines are very interesting creatures,even in 'that' department! SO-don't be shy,share! I will start the ball rolling with my family,my-self and the outside kitties first. As we do have predators around here in the country,I am quick and cautious-always looking around. So is Smudge,Charlie and Growlie. Now Dixon,on the other paw,is a different story! He starts by scratching in a wide circle around his ,er,deposits.Then he keeps at it for quite awhile,until he has a rather large pile of dirt.When he is finished,it looks like a ...a pyramid! Mom couldn't figure out these pyramid's all over the yard for a while,until she saw him at work!! When inside,he also makes them in the litter pan,dead center!! The boy is CRAZY!

Now on to the inside kitties. I will start with GYPSY: She is slow and dainty in her potty habits.She steps in,does her 'thing' and very gently covers.Mom says everything about Gypsy is soft and dainty-she even plays that way! LEVI is almost excatly like Gypsy in potty habits....a bit sissiefied if you ask me! ELLIE,ELI and OPIE are littermates,and have the exact same ritual-jump in fast,do their 'job' and sling litter all over the room! They exit at a full run! Very energetic!! Mom has found litter slung in the strangest places-on picture frames,window sill,computer desk,etc!
She was wearing her-self out sweeping up all the scattered litter!! SO....Dad made her a big wooden box to enclose the huge litter pan,and then put it outside in the cat enclosure. Problem solved and the computed room is now litter and dust free!

I know it has been a while since I came to visit,and for that I apawlogize. However,I just had to come and share a story about my brother Levi-A.K.A-The Escape Artist!Seems he discovered a way out of the cat enclosure and causing a lot of confusion in the process!! Mom thought dad was letting him out by accident,and dad thought it was mom!! After the third day of escaping,they realized it wasn't them. So then began the search for the escape hole. It took going over every inch of the enclosure four times before mom finally found it. There was a gap on the top cover where the chicken wire overlaps that Dad forgot to wire together. There is a cat shelf right under it,so all Levi had to do,after finding it,was step up,crawl through and he was out free! You should have seen that boys face when he tried to get out after dad fixed it! Priceless!! Levi's flight 'wings' have been thoroughly clipped! Hope you are having a nice Sunday.~Purrs,Bart

Well,Dad went and did it!! The three kittens he found won his heart over and he can't bear to part with them,so he told mom he wants to keep ALL THREE OF THEM!

Mom says she has made a monster convert to kittydom,as Dad did not like cats AT ALL when they married fourteen years ago!

So,all that said,please welcome Opie(orange tabby boy)-Eli(grey tabby boy)and Ellie,short for Eleanor(grey with orange smudges, girl) to the Peach State Cats~eleven total now~Sheesh,I hope Dad dosn't find any more,It's getting crowded around here!!

I am so very sorry to hear about Tinkie. Please give your mom plenty of sandpaper kisses and a few for me as well!

I think jealousy is ok for awhile after a new sib comes into our homes,but in time,we kinda get used to them,and like you said,we remember WE were rescued too! Levi was very jealous of Gypsy Rose Lee,but now he is playing with her! So,you may have a great playmate in the near future(don't shudder-it's possible,hehe!) Hope all is well there-it is terribly HOT here,so we outside cats spend most of our time under the house where it is much cooler!! You didn't know about Levi? He was found at two weeks of age,so mom took him in and bottle raised him.Needless to say,he is very much the baby still and actually thinks that 'mom' is his real mother! He was SOOOO jealous when they brought Gypsy home-he wouldn't come to mom at all and would hiss at Gypsy. Now all is back to normal and Levi has forgiven mom and will even get in her lap WITH Gypsy--NOT ME! I have to admit though(grudgeling!)that if they didn't take in the strays they find,who would? Gypsy would have starved,and as long as she stays in the house,I don't have a problem with her,hehe! I still bop Levi on the head though,and mom fusses at me for it. I don't think our moms understand that we HAVE to teach them their place in the 'pecking' order,right? (Sigh)-HUMANS! Hope you don't get into any more trouble with Sawyer! Purrs and a hug! Bart

Oh,I know just how you feel about the new kitten! My dad found an abandoned all black GIRL kitty,and brought her home! Dad named her Gypsy,so around here,that means she is staying! I feel just like you-we don't need another kitty around here. You would think they would have put a LITTLE effort into finding her another home,huh? She makes #8. I just hope she don't eat a lot,or try to take MY food-I'll bop her on the head,he-he-but not too hard. I may not like her,but she is a baby. Oh well,may-be they will keep her in the house and I won't have to deal with her. How is Sawyer adjusting at your house? You have to bop him yet? It's hard trying to train a new kitten,isn't it? Slán agat ~ Good bye from the Irish Clan
It is with deep regret that on behalf of my brothers, my sister and Mom I must say good-bye to all of our friends on Cat Channel. We have thought this over for quite some time and determined that WE need to be on Mom's lap rather than her laptop. We tried to use November as a healing time for Kerry, Paddy and Mom but, more than simply healing, we re-discovered our family harmony. We can't lose it again; it is just too precious. We also need a lot more healing time.

We have a tendency to want to fix everything, to try to make everyone well; to be there for our friends when they need us; to spread joy; to make all happy; to maintain the integrity and dignity we originally found on CC, and in doing so, we over-extended. While some members can be on CC 24/7 we learned that we cannot ~ learned it the hard way. Jim's passing also helped us put things into perspective and firm up our decision to put family first.

I had a big speech written about some of the politics and underhanded games that we encountered here in recent months that were also big factors in our leaving CC but decided not to go into it as life goes on. Instead, PLEASE understand that we truly value our TRUE friends and appreciate your support, prayers and visits more than we can say. Since we firmly believe in interactive visits rather than weekly family blogs and we cannot keep up with our blogs, we have opted to reduce our family stress level and bid each of you a loving farewell.

We wish you Peace, Good Health and Happiness throughout your life, with your loved ones close by. For now we will leave our pages up. Who knows what the future will bring.....

Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah and a very Happy 2010.

Buddy, we bow to you now as our future King of January! You deserve it.

Not much going on around here,'cept a 'stray' or lost cat is hanging around the house....probably where Smudge got his leg bite from. The cat is a real pretty(according to mom)peach and white long-haired Persian looking kitty. She even FED it tonight! Oh boy,seven of us is enough here! Mom says,(women's logic here)that she has to feed it to get it to trust her,so she can get it out from under the house so she can find it's owner! Does that make sense to you? It's a peachy day in Georgia!(Sorry for the c/p~mom's tired!)~It is a beautiful sunny fall day here and mom hopes it lasts awhile~we do too! It's good dirt rolling weather,mol! As some of you may know,mom's first grand-baby was born on Friday,Nov.6th around 4:00 p.m. by c-section following 24 hrs of hard labor. Mom was in the delivery room and got to cut the cord! It was love at first sight! If you want to see a picture of little Ave Mae,go to Dixon's page. Mom thinks she is beautiful,but she looks like a little squished up red faced human to me! Mom spent five days in town with her daughter,then dad got sick with pneumonia,so she was driving back and forth 30 miles one way every day trying to care for them both! Needless to say,she is tired!

On one of her trips home,a tree had fallen across the driveway,so mom had to chop the limbs off and move it. It was a nice big tree too! Chester and I stayed with her to give her some *purr* support. When mom got through with the tree,she did a funny little dance and sang "I am woman,hear me roar!"....Chester's and my hair stood on end and we ran~after all,she still had the hatchet in her hand and it was a scary sight!

Dad took pretty good care of us until he got sick.The main thing that suffered was our litter pans! They were in sad shape and mom said a complete cleaning was in order! Thank goodness for mom's! Not much else is going on around here,not that we need anything else right now,lol! Mom said she will have to go back to work to get some rest!

We kitties are all fine and healthy...just enjoying the nice weather,napping in the sun and rolling in the sand.Smudge rolled in it so much,he looked white! Meanie is still being chased by us boys....well,we ARE boys and can't help ourselves!! Charlie enjoys being in the sun-room every day,and Dixon is taking care of baby Levi. That boy just loves that kitten! You should see him groom and bathe him and let him crawl all over him! I just hiss at him!! Levi will be seven weeks old tomorrow,and his eyes are still blue! Mom hopes they will stay blue.....Well,this is all for now.We hope you had a great week-end and coming week! Happy purrs and hugs,Bart

PASSING OF THE CROWN
My friends, it is time for the passing of the Crown. I do it with great pleasure as SpongeBob will be a wonderful November King. Yet - see my pic in my album, I am fighting to keep it - MOL!!! I just took a trip down memory lane "from California to the New York Island" and beyond. This has been an experience of a lifetime and each of YOU gave me the memories. I posted some of my favorite pics from OUR trip.

You not only made me King of October; you made me FEEL like a king with all of your love, your prayers, your words of support and the fun we have had these past two months. I hope I returned to you the trust you placed in me; that I acted with dignity yet was joyful for that is certainly how I feel. THANK YOU.

You very strongly supported my belief that family and caring for each other HAS to be #1 and gave Mom and us time to take care of Paddy. CC is my family also and, although I go back to simply being the leader of The Irish Clan, I will always, along with my sibs, be here for each of you every day, as you have been for us. We may get behind but will never lose touch, guaranteed! Look out, for one of us may sneak up on you with a song or Irish Blessing or story soon!!

Paddy seems to be improving. He is beginning to eat more but his eye is still too painful for him to open; now he is keeping both closed much of the time, hopefully because it is his way of healing. We know the meds are working but, as importantly, we know that God has heard your prayers.

Of course I have to leave you an Irish Blessing, straight from my heart:

of His blessings all the while.

Now, everyone, please join in applause as I escort November King-elect SpongeBob for his coronation. Mom, Pudds and I are coming by with a very huge thank you for your prayers and concern. None of us have been blogging, just taking care of me and trying to stay diverted. I am moving around more today but Mom isn't sure if it is because of the pain meds or what. My eyes are not any better and my breathing is still raspy. Mom just put two pics on our page so you can see how swollen my eyes still are and how I just don't want to open them. I go back to the vet on Thursday for another eye stain so he can look at my eye under the special light. He better have gas ready or I will claw him to pieces. More info after that. KLuvs, Paddy

A KINGLY TALE
Hi, Everyone!! Instead of a Proclamation, I thought I would tell you a story.

"All through the house.... nothing was stirring, not even a" ~ MOMMMM, that is a Christmas Story; this is Halloween!!!! .... Starting again - ready?

On a DARK and QUIET October night, full MOON overhead, as Shamrock and I lay quietly near Mom, she decided to HAUNT, no - HUNT down Paddy for his medicine and face washing. DARK and QUIET kitchen, no cats, DARK and now - EERILY QUIET dining room and hallway ~ ~ she tiptoes into the bedroom to see only the BLUE MOON LIGHTS of the big fish tank!!! FLIPS on the light and BEHOLD ~ ~ EIGHT CATS ~ EIGHT pairs of INNOCENT eyes flash on us!!!! Four silly kitty grins from the bed; one from the kitty steps (supervisor Davina, of course!!) and THREE kittens on the floor. But what else is there???? OH, NO, a full container of FISH FOOD granules in huge mounds all over the carpet!!!!

Pudds, granules falling from his mouth turns with a huge PUMPKIN-LIKE SMILE while Fonzie BATS his baby blues and Ciaran tries to use his BLACK kitty tail to spread the evidence under the dresser!!! One look at Mom and me and what did they do? Run? Hide? NO!!! Returned to eating with everyone else cheering them on!!! Silly kitties, don't they know they were eating VEGGIE African Cichlid fish food? Not a shrimp piece in sight!

The SCARY part is not who knocked the container off the dresser but WHO OPENED IT??? For the screw-on top was clearly OFF!! Is my Castle HAUNTED by a kitty feeding GHOST?

THE END - or NOT - as everyone scattered when that nasty noisy sucking machine erupted from the closet!!

FOURTH: a little personal discussion ~ please forgive my not visiting yesterday. I sort of got overwhelmed and hit the couch right after the OUTSTANDING KING ANDERSON passed the crown to me. I am so proud to follow in his pawsteps!!!
To all of you who attended our party, wasn't it great?!!!! Thank you as you all looked stunning. We had the best time dancing, listening to The Celtic Women Group and to the beautiful speeches. YOU then made Blarney's Fish Fantasy COTD today - thank you!!! That was a huge surprise and honor!
King Anderson and my thank you gift to each of you is a souvenir twin gold crown.
To those of you who didn't make it, King Anderson and I completely understand. We have sent your gift via Kitty Exp!

NEBRASKA, Katu & MItzy, Shamrock is knocking at your door right now and the rest of us can't wait to hear all about NE.

Southern CALIFORNIA, all of us will arrive 9/29 so anytime you are ready to share the glories of CA with everyone, jump aboard!

Oh, my goodness, did all of you see the love Thomas & Family have for MAINE? I can't summarize all of what they told us but will say this. 90% of the country's lobsters come from ME; potatoes are a major crop (we Irish knew there was another reason Maine is special); it was brought into the Union as a result of the Missouri Compromise and played a major role in the Civil War, as did our proud state of CA. (Borrowed my "subject" from Thomas' blog.)

I think my plane is overloaded with the hams and maple syrup from Dutton's Farm in VT plus all the Ben & Jerry's for a party. No McD in Montpelier? Way cool, Wally.

Thank you, Midnight, for supplying us with the sports teams of Illinois and reminding us of the Navy Pier. Also for telling us about the original winter home of Ringling Brothers Circus.

Here are cool names of importance - Lake Minnetonka, MN to Sunny & Josie and Kalamazoo, MI to our King of August, Fuzzworthy. Thank you, Fuzz for sharing about your Mom & Dad's hometown which not only is headquarters to two major drug companies: Upjohn and Pfizer but has a very honorable position regarding education. It is impressive that a small college like W.M.U is ranked so high.

WENDY reported on PA early on but I am just now highlighting her contribution. What pride in your state you displayed!!! York, PA was the first capital of the United Colonies. The Erie Canal was considered the 8th wonder of the world when it was built in 1825. The first radio station was KDLA in Pittsburgh, 1920.

I did kiss the Blarney Stone - my excuse for my long blog yesterday but I really appreciate that all of you enjoyed the fast tour of Ireland.

Yep, still having frame-making problems. My pic is the Canadian flag proudly flying in front of their Parliament Building in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Nappy, I am ready for the Great Catmobile Tour, seatbelt fastened. Here are warm Irish sweaters for you, Caser and Buddy so we can all stay warm.

'P&P' had a long trip to NH but it is worth it to see the beginning of the Fall season. We have no Fall season in Southern CA so anything you all can do in NH and CT to tuck autumn leaves in their suitcases is appreciated!!

Wonder what I mean by "The Fundamental Orders"???? Dropping a hint about NH also - Switzerland. Wha???

9/22`PASSPORTS? PAWCUFFS??
Oh, no! I know I posed for a ton of pictures. Wait a minute, Officer Sir. Here it is in my CC souvenir backpack!!

IRELAND and all other EUROPEAN friends, 'S' and I are at JFK in 'B' picture but - that was fast! - - 'S' is already over Europe and I am in Ireland!! Your CC family would love to hear some tidbits about your countries. I know there are more "Int'l" kitties than I have listed in our pictures or here but you are the ones we have blogged with. Other, new friends, I will add you, please "meow" in!!
'C' and 'C&F' decided to visit our President in Washington, DC. Friends in VA may have to bail them out if they don't stop squeezing through the White House fence.

If you kitties did not read the wonderful NJ blogs from Princess Oreo, Sammy, Max and Pouncer and The White Paws, I hope you go back and do so, especially Sammy's 'book'. In my mind (or maybe Mom's grey matter dissolved!), NJ sort of got the short straw when it came to our learning about US history. Did you know it is called "The Pathway to the Revolution"? The first balloon flight to deliver a letter was in 1793~a letter to George Washington!! Not that I have checked but it appears that more famous musicians and scientists came from NJ than elsewhere.

Quiz time. Name three famous musicians; two scientists from NJ.

Who knew how important horses are in NJ. It seems we only hear about KY and TN.

Max and Pouncer, please thank Gov. Corzine for me. I am truly honored. The Emerald Society Pipe and Drum Corps played until all the leaves fell off the trees!! I love bagpipes and proudly claim that the Irish "loaned" them to the Scots! You two are the best!! GREAT party, thank you!!

Oh, no, again. What is the dollar/euro conversion? Oh, well, who cares. Shamrock and I are going shopping in Ireland and all over Europe for YOU!!

Hi Ireland,
This is a C/P of a message we left on the Mews Room page:Hello everyone,this is Bartholomew for the Peach State Cats. We just wanted to let everyone know how we are doing here,mom and dad included. It has been almost a month since we had to say good-bye due to mom's health,and we have missed you-all so much. The good news is,mom is doing a lot better on some new meds,but dad is now having health issues that need attention. He has been diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome. Mom said it explained a whole lot of his erratic behavior that was putting such stress on their marriage,and possibly his aggression towards her being on CC,another reason why we had to leave. Dad has just started treatment,so mom feels it is just too soon to try and talk to him about CC. Hopefully that day will come soon,and we can return to all our friends,as this helps mom cope with all of lifes diffaculties. She does log on every morning to leave quick votes for COTD and COTM,as she can do this without dad knowing,and checks the Mews Room page. Please know that we think of each and every one of you,miss you terribly,and keep all the sick in our prayers,and especially the ones who have lost their beloved furbabies. All of us kitties are doing well and are healthy and happy. Meanie had a close call the other with a neighbors dog. It came in our yard and chased her up a tree. Dad went and talked to them,and they said they would confine their dogs. Dad WILL shoot them if they come back! Other than that,all has been quite here.
Again,we love you-all and miss you and hope to return soon! Love and kitty kisses from all of us! Bartholomew

'P&P' are in Argentina as Ciaran couldn't get a passport - wouldn't hold still long enough for a photo!! They have come for those hugs you promised, Lola, and whatever information about Argentina you want to share.
