Education: I have a beautiful and shiny tuxedo coat, with striking gold/green eyes. I am a wonderful companion to my owner. I talk back to her with chirps and meows, and love sitting on her lap (or sitting right next to her) and purring away. Cuddling is an activity I LOVE to do!
AWARDS AND CONTEST WINNING:
-I was featured as Cat of the Day on a website called "Cat of the Day" on January 29, 2007.
-I won Cat of the Day on Cat Channel (thanks to all!) on February 17, 2008.
-I am the proud "Fur Brother" of sweet Angel Black Bear #68678. He, in turn, is my great Guardian Angel, and protects me and watches over me from the Rainbow Bridge. He is and was such a beautiful soul.
My favorite tricks and treats are: I'm such a responsive boy to my owner! I usually come when called, and often talk back to my owner. I am full of purrsonality. Loyal, obedient, and talkative are words used to describe me. I guess you could say I know two tricks: coming when called, and going where my meowmy pats or points to. Meowmy's also trying to teach me how to sit (I get treats, of course, for my hard work). I'm progressing well so far. and I LOVE Meat! YUM!!! Bacon, steak, you name it! I also like tuna and other fish. Feline Greenies and Pounce Treats are so savory, too. Whenever meowmy has a package in her hand, watch out! I'm flying after her at rapid speed...
Where I hang out: My meowmy's lap, wherever meowmy is, the mini cat condo in her room, her bed, anywhere where it is comfy and quiet!
My favorite grubs: Wet cat food, any kind of meat, milk, etc!
My pet peeves: Not being let outside when I really want to go! Loud noises, and sudden startles. YIKES! I also don't like that Nellie doesn't like to play with me, ignores me, and hisses at me (sometimes). Why can't she be more willing and like me more?
What I love about my owners: She gives me lots of pets, yummy food and treats, lets me sit on her lap, is gentle, and often talks to me! I snuggle with her a lot! We share a very special bond.
My cat hobbies: Go outside! I don't get to do that very often, though. The next best thing to going outside, for me, is looking outside, especially at the birds. Clucking at them is something I do often. I also LOVE sitting on my owner's lap (yep, all fourteen pounds of me) and purring away. In addition, I like to "play" with Nellie. Well, meowmy says the real word would be "harass" Nellie, but I'm not confessing that I do that...
Pet motto: I love being a buddy to my owner!

How We Met
Found Reggie on Craigslist, went to his previous owner's house, picked him up, brought him home, and loved him ever since! Reggie used to be feral. The family he lived with before domesticated him. Reggie does extremely well behavior-wise for being a formal feral boy. Other than the occasional startle from a loud noise, running away from an unfamiliar person or a person who he thinks is scary, and his passionate desire to be outdoors, Reggie is like any other domesticated cat. He is amazingly obedient to me, his owner, and loves being wherever I am. Ferals deserve a chance at domestication and adoption into loving homes where they can be wonderful companions. Their potential adopters must understand, though what their previous lifestyle was like, and be patient if they display signs of fear or timidness. Ferals are most often successful at domestication given patience and time.

UPDATE: Unfortunately, on October 15, 2009, Reggie went missing. I miss him so much, and pray that someone found him and brought him into their home to love and cherish him, as I did for the three years I was blessed with him.
His main picture is one of the last pictures I took of him before he went missing, and it is one of my very favorites. I hold it very close to my heart. ♥

We apologize for the c/p, but wanted to be able to touch base with as many of our friends as possible!
First of all, we hope the New Year will bring you an abundance of love, health, and catnip! We join everyone in praying for sweet little Boo Kitty #154855 in the hopes she will fully recover from her illness.
We have decided that we need more time to devote to our pages, blogging our friends, and hopefully, try to create new FAQ/Bloggers Central type of profile page. Therefore, we have resigned from the Catpaign Crew. This will also mean we are now free to do an occasional free day campaign, so if anyone has a suggestion for a free day candidate--someone who is deserving, but might not meet all the requirements for an official campaign, please feel free to suggest him or her to us!
Secondly, we are starting a new caption contest--the last one we'll be having for awhile. The photo we'd like a caption for this time is Holly's #59878 . As always, we are looking for your ideas, not your votes. The kitty whose caption is picked will receive as a prize a 2010 Petco Foundation Calendar featuring our very own Haylee as the April cover girl. Slán agat ~ Good bye from the Irish Clan
It is with deep regret that on behalf of my brothers, my sister and Mom I must say good-bye to all of our friends on Cat Channel. We have thought this over for quite some time and determined that WE need to be on Mom's lap rather than her laptop. We tried to use November as a healing time for Kerry, Paddy and Mom but, more than simply healing, we re-discovered our family harmony. We can't lose it again; it is just too precious. We also need a lot more healing time.
We have a tendency to want to fix everything, to try to make everyone well; to be there for our friends when they need us; to spread joy; to make all happy; to maintain the integrity and dignity we originally found on CC, and in doing so, we over-extended. While some members can be on CC 24/7 we learned that we cannot ~ learned it the hard way. Jim's passing also helped us put things into perspective and firm up our decision to put family first.
I had a big speech written about some of the politics and underhanded games that we encountered here in recent months that were also big factors in our leaving CC but decided not to go into it as life goes on. Instead, PLEASE understand that we truly value our TRUE friends and appreciate your support, prayers and visits more than we can say. Since we firmly believe in interactive visits rather than weekly family blogs and we cannot keep up with our blogs, we have opted to reduce our family stress level and bid each of you a loving farewell.
We wish you Peace, Good Health and Happiness throughout your life, with your loved ones close by. For now we will leave our pages up. Who knows what the future will bring.....

Hello
We are C&P today to get caught up on our fun. How’s it meowin’ kitties? Been purrin’ while mom away! NOW ‘The Georgia Gang diaries’: Mom left for Dahlonega Sun.Oct 25. We watched her leaving with that suitcase, each saying “We will have fun now!!!” While mom’s away the kitties will play.
We did some cleaning also! MOL! The hutch looked cluttered, we cleared it off, broken glass here and there. Cabinets needed cleaning out, the bisquick looked old, dumped that. (Dad did not do good job of cleaning!) Container of hot coco was in the wrong place, we put it on the counter. Cabinet with pans cleaned out before mom got home it seems, since several pans STILL on the floor. Mittens separated laundry, that was all spread out. Sugar(no page) separate the toilet paper in nice small piece for easy use!! We worked so hard!
Dad didn’t tell mom, while away, about Mr Kitty, he ran outside, missing for 2 days. Dad was worried, also worried about himself, cuz if he did not find kitty before mom got home……… OH BOY!! After 2 days missing Dad found him down the street. Mom was due home the next day. Boy that was close!!!
Tabitha chasing after Scrappy Thursday(June’s spitting image from her litter no page.), Scrap jumped off the hutch caught her back leg on a hinge and split it open. Mom had to take her to the vet on Sat, Poor Scrappy had to have surgery, stitches and stayed at vet place for 2 days.. She came home yesterday-15 stitches. It was bad. Tabitha has been acting out, picking on all of us. She was so mad at mom for leaving. When Mom bent over to give her a hug hello she smacked Mom!!!!! she is in the kitty house. When any of us gets close, she smacks us & hisses. Mom is worried what could be causing her to act like this. We think she is just a brat wanting attention!! Or just plain mean. Mom put Princess in a room by herself, cuz of Scooter and Bobo( scrap’s bro, no page) pick on her so much, causes everyone to be mean to her, she hides in the cabinets.
Sadly while mommy was gone one of the kittens died from the black kitty’s litter (someone abandoned her) mom calls her baby girl. Dad just loved that little one he called her Yoda cuz she looked like a black yoda. Mom says something had to be wrong with her, she was half the size of the other kitten at 6 weeks old, looked about 2 to 3 weeks old. Dad waited to tell mom, so she would not be sad while she was gone.
Anymeow, things somewhat back to normal, as normal as it can get, except for mean old Tabitha. She better quit hitting all of us she has already been banned from Mom and Dad’s room cuz Scrappy is in there recuperating cuz she was being mean to her. Tabby had better be good if she wants to sleep with mommy.
We had better end this as it is to long already Sorry a lot can happen in a week around here! Have a great week!!

PASSING OF THE CROWN
My friends, it is time for the passing of the Crown. I do it with great pleasure as SpongeBob will be a wonderful November King. Yet - see my pic in my album, I am fighting to keep it - MOL!!! I just took a trip down memory lane "from California to the New York Island" and beyond. This has been an experience of a lifetime and each of YOU gave me the memories. I posted some of my favorite pics from OUR trip.
You not only made me King of October; you made me FEEL like a king with all of your love, your prayers, your words of support and the fun we have had these past two months. I hope I returned to you the trust you placed in me; that I acted with dignity yet was joyful for that is certainly how I feel. THANK YOU.
You very strongly supported my belief that family and caring for each other HAS to be #1 and gave Mom and us time to take care of Paddy. CC is my family also and, although I go back to simply being the leader of The Irish Clan, I will always, along with my sibs, be here for each of you every day, as you have been for us. We may get behind but will never lose touch, guaranteed! Look out, for one of us may sneak up on you with a song or Irish Blessing or story soon!!
Paddy seems to be improving. He is beginning to eat more but his eye is still too painful for him to open; now he is keeping both closed much of the time, hopefully because it is his way of healing. We know the meds are working but, as importantly, we know that God has heard your prayers.
Of course I have to leave you an Irish Blessing, straight from my heart:

of His blessings all the while.
Now, everyone, please join in applause as I escort November King-elect SpongeBob for his coronation. THIS IS A SEPARATE CATPAIGN FROM THE "BLACK CAT" CATPAIGN. IT IS SPECIFICALLY FOR A CHOSEN CANDIDATE FOR SATURDAY VOTING.
Ever heard of a GOOD Vampire? Well, read on and meet one! Not only that, LESTAT 148609 is a beautiful BLACK cat, completely in charge of his realm/furrever home plus his Mom's and Dad's hearts. What better day than Halloween to vote for LESTAT!!!
We tried to write his story but kept getting ghostly visions of Lestat, meowing to us to relate it in his own words so here you are, friends - join us in the adventures that rival even his namesake from the Anne Rice stories:
"As soon as I joined my family, I set about declaring my alphaness & supremacy to the sound of my new parents adoring & appreciative awwwwwws and much to the consternation of my 2 new older sisters who, being much older, wanted nothing to do with me and my juvenile playful pursuits. One day I reached the impressive title of 6 time-outs for hassling my elder sisters and spent a lot of time taunting and attempting to lure my Mom into games of tag & hide 'n seek as she was about the only one who didn't shun me.
My biggest time-out came when I jumped and landed in a hanging plant in the kitchen just above the table where my Mom was busy on her laptop and looked up to see me looking down at her and swinging merrily. Yep, that went over like a lead-balloon as I had already gotten in trouble over jumping in it more than once.... well, it wasnt right that she was reading on that silly machine when she could be playing tag with me!!!
There came the day, a few short months after my adoption when I found my Mom in the bedroom crying because my sister Missy became very, very sick and was about to cross the Rainbow Bridge. I knew it was my job to console her so I jumped up on the bed, put a paw on her arm, meowed and kissed her over and over again to let her know that she wasn't alone. Not very long after all that sadness, the best thing ever happened: my parents drove back up to the shelter, met a little gray tabby kitten which they adopted and brought home for me!!! My little bro Bowie and I now spend our days playing and have great fun. I adore him to pieces."

"May God Bless You" is what is in the hearts of each of us in The Irish Clan. We are so very grateful for your prayers, blogs, poems, the candles you have lit, the messages you left with them, (Sammy, for the Irish quotes) and, just for being here for our Pitter Paddy. How to say thank you for your taglines? Paddy sends big hugs. Some of you have been visiting Paddy every day which is just so overwhelming. Mom no sooner dries her tears from reading one message then we go on to the next. Your hearts are so very big and ours are so very full.
We know that this mystical & powerful CC prayer chain will work. We know the Angels are very busy, in particular, our precious Libby Libby. We know this because Paddy has finally started eating; just a little bit at a time but any progress counts!!! Mom was syringing AD in him but he was not happy so she searched for something that would smell good. She found an all natural cat food, Weruva, that is almost good enough looking and smelling for people to eat! He eats a spoonful at a time, five times so far!!!
Paddy's breathing is still raspy because of pneumonia and possibly due to drainage from all the swelling in his head. His eye ulcer is slightly smaller but he now has herpes ulcers in his mouth and throat. He remains on pain meds 3X a day. He is on a brand new med called Famciclov in addition to his other eight meds so we just know he is going to get better. He left a lot of blood on the bed and on Mom this morning, we think from the ulcers, but our vet agrees with Mom, not to stress him again for another vet visit. We can take care of him here with frequent feedings, hourly meds and more love than he can handle.
I wish each of you could see the love Pudds, Ciaran and Fonzie have for Paddy. Each time Mom washes his face or medicates him, they gather around to groom him. Along with Davina, Ennis and me, they also keep checking him when he is sleeping. Mom just says "awww" a lot!
I am so very sorry that I have not sent jovial "Kingly Proclamations" weekly like I promised. We made the decision that it was more important to take care of Paddy and so many of you have supported me in that, thank you. We have been voting but rarely blogging. Hopefully I will get back to you before the end of my reign as October King but if not, I want to thank you again for the privilege of serving as your King. I had so much fun catpaigning with each and everyone of you. I treasure all of the friends who came along on my journey and those I met along the way.

A KINGLY TALE
Hi, Everyone!! Instead of a Proclamation, I thought I would tell you a story.
"All through the house.... nothing was stirring, not even a" ~ MOMMMM, that is a Christmas Story; this is Halloween!!!! .... Starting again - ready?
On a DARK and QUIET October night, full MOON overhead, as Shamrock and I lay quietly near Mom, she decided to HAUNT, no - HUNT down Paddy for his medicine and face washing. DARK and QUIET kitchen, no cats, DARK and now - EERILY QUIET dining room and hallway ~ ~ she tiptoes into the bedroom to see only the BLUE MOON LIGHTS of the big fish tank!!! FLIPS on the light and BEHOLD ~ ~ EIGHT CATS ~ EIGHT pairs of INNOCENT eyes flash on us!!!! Four silly kitty grins from the bed; one from the kitty steps (supervisor Davina, of course!!) and THREE kittens on the floor. But what else is there???? OH, NO, a full container of FISH FOOD granules in huge mounds all over the carpet!!!!
Pudds, granules falling from his mouth turns with a huge PUMPKIN-LIKE SMILE while Fonzie BATS his baby blues and Ciaran tries to use his BLACK kitty tail to spread the evidence under the dresser!!! One look at Mom and me and what did they do? Run? Hide? NO!!! Returned to eating with everyone else cheering them on!!! Silly kitties, don't they know they were eating VEGGIE African Cichlid fish food? Not a shrimp piece in sight!
The SCARY part is not who knocked the container off the dresser but WHO OPENED IT??? For the screw-on top was clearly OFF!! Is my Castle HAUNTED by a kitty feeding GHOST?
THE END - or NOT - as everyone scattered when that nasty noisy sucking machine erupted from the closet!!

HI,Spongie here,a warm winday day with rain on the way.Mom has already taken me out to look for mr. squirrel,but he was not there again,mom said all the chestnuts were gone,and he had went to find more food,ahhh mom,I want him back in my tree.Mom let me go down a little further over the bank to explore under the weeds and leaves,that was fun.I like to dig in old fallen leaves,might be a suprise under them,hehe.Mom had to carry me back in again.Then mom heard a big bang,she thought the house had fell,she ran in there and Baby had been lying in the chair,and I had wacked her out of the chair and turned over the chair,mom just shook her head at me,hehe.Now I'm sleeping in my box of papers,love you all! Greetings from the colorful Green (orange and red) Mountains! We know we haven’t been very active bloggers lately, but hope to make up for it in the coming months! We thank everyone who left condolences for our Mom at the loss of her sister to cancer. We kitties are all doing pretty well. Haylee had an infection a few weeks ago that the vet felt was caused by periodontal disease. But, she’s as good as new and bragging to everyone about being the April Cover Girl for the 2010 Petco Foundation Calendar. Priscilla can be found as the May 24th Cover Girl in the 2010 Cat-A-Day Calendar. We’re very proud of both our girls!
We know there has been great sadness among our friends on CC recently when Angel #40145 from the Maine Gang, Girlie #8577 from the Sunclowder, Ziggy #67045, and 4 of 7 kittens born to Evita, Thomas’ foster sister (see Foster Kitty Page #155579 to see photos of the surviving siblings) all made their journey across the Rainbow Bridge--our deepest sympathy to their families.
We are happy to announce that we are having another Caption Contest. Hope you can stop by Holly’s Page #59878 sometime in the next couple of weeks and give us your ideas for a caption for the new photo of Holly and her great love, Wally. As in previous contests, the Irish Clan have generously offered a custom made photo frame to the kitty chosen as the winner. Feel free to submit up to three ideas per family!

You are not humble; not prideful yet full of pride; independent but oh-so-clingy when needed. 9/29`FULL OF THANKFULNESS AND LOVE
CALIFORNIA friends, you are all listed in Shamrock's picture of a Pacific sunset.
Smokey, Angel & Callie, the dream team, live in a tsunami hazard zone in Imperial Beach - yikes! Get your furry bodies to the SFV if one ever threatens. We have room. Their hometown is the most southwestern city in the continental US.
Sabrina, thank you for telling us that San Diego is the headquarters of Petco - how handy! In case everyone missed it, the San Diego Zoo Panda just gave birth to her 5th cub.
Katu & Mitzi wore Shamrock out with their "big red wave" for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. We learned that Chimney Rock was a landmark for westward bound settlers.
Home but with my heart so full of love for everyone, old friends and new, on my "Worldwide Catpaign Tour". I KNOW that I had more fun and learned more about our great country, Canada, Argentina, Ireland and Serbia than I ever expected. YOUR enthusiasm made this an absolute blast; I could not have done any of this without your hard work, supportive words and fun and charming comments. I sincerely hope that many of you also met new friends through sharing your home state, province or country information.
Thank you for your hospitality; for welcoming us into your homes. I hope we left smiles along the trail as I certainly brought a bundle of them home with me. Do you each really know how very special you are? I do!! (Pudds just mew-mewed his agreement; rubbed Mom's hand so she could spread our feelings through the computer keys to you, seriously.)

NEBRASKA, Katu & MItzy, Shamrock is knocking at your door right now and the rest of us can't wait to hear all about NE.
Southern CALIFORNIA, all of us will arrive 9/29 so anytime you are ready to share the glories of CA with everyone, jump aboard!
Oh, my goodness, did all of you see the love Thomas & Family have for MAINE? I can't summarize all of what they told us but will say this. 90% of the country's lobsters come from ME; potatoes are a major crop (we Irish knew there was another reason Maine is special); it was brought into the Union as a result of the Missouri Compromise and played a major role in the Civil War, as did our proud state of CA. (Borrowed my "subject" from Thomas' blog.)
I think my plane is overloaded with the hams and maple syrup from Dutton's Farm in VT plus all the Ben & Jerry's for a party. No McD in Montpelier? Way cool, Wally.

Here are cool names of importance - Lake Minnetonka, MN to Sunny & Josie and Kalamazoo, MI to our King of August, Fuzzworthy. Thank you, Fuzz for sharing about your Mom & Dad's hometown which not only is headquarters to two major drug companies: Upjohn and Pfizer but has a very honorable position regarding education. It is impressive that a small college like W.M.U is ranked so high.
WENDY reported on PA early on but I am just now highlighting her contribution. What pride in your state you displayed!!! York, PA was the first capital of the United Colonies. The Erie Canal was considered the 8th wonder of the world when it was built in 1825. The first radio station was KDLA in Pittsburgh, 1920.

How is this for a report on Wisconsin "beer, cheese, beer, cows, Packers" from Libby? She really got to what is important and fast! According to Smokey, WI produces 15% of our Nation's milk, thanks!
Jessie and Nipper brought up something new: "the people of Wisconsin are wonderful". Good point, as we have featured history and geography and forgotten our folks! They also taught us that the Wisconsin River is a tributary of the Mississippi.
