How We Met
After losing my "little boy" of 15 years, I was browsing cat shelter websites in my area and saw two tiny white kittens "with blue eyes" (Brianna actually has one blue and one brown eye). Site specified that they may be deaf because of genetics, so I decided to give a home to two special needs kittens. Visited the shelter, fell in love at first sight and brought them home. The good news is that neither Bri nor her sister is deaf. Brianna weighed 1.5 lbs. when she came to her forever home at 3 months of age. She really was a little bit!

Hi BFF's!
It's Brianna! Mom finally decided to let me come back to the blogs! She told me that she is NOT going to spend as much time doing this for me as she did before, but a couple of times a week might be okay. I've been sending out a couple of emails to let old friends know that I'm back. I know we keep in touch through our mom's personal emails, but I couldn't send out blogs to others and not my BFFs. hey there purr pals! it's been soooo long since you've been on here! i hope everything is ok. we think about you guys all the time when we are on here! nothing too exciting to talk about. mommy's been getting lots of new stuff for the baby room, she said that the rocking chair that i love soooo much is not going to be just for me anymore. she said that it's going to be for her and the baby. i'll still sit on it when i can though, it's my favorite chair in the house! mommy said she's really excited for the baby, only 2 more months! when i lay on her tummy the baby kicks me all the time. mommy assures me that it's love pats though cuz otherwise i get kinda scared and jumpy. o i almost forgot to tell you! mommy went to the store the other day and she got me a new mousey toy and i just absolutely LOVE it!!! i play with it all the time. do you have any toys that you can't live without? mommy says she doesn't like to get me new toys anymore cuz i always hide them on her and she can never find them! hehe i know exactly where they are but i'm not telling! that way mommy will get me more new ones! she says i'm sassy like that. well i've gotta go, it's just about nap time, and there's some birdies outside on the feeder that i need to watch. hope to talk to you soon and hope you have a great weekend! hugs and kisses and a vote too! love your purrr pal Toby! Mom called Lola Kitty's 2860 on Saturday afternoon but she was just going to sleep and said she would call mom later which she did.
First, Lola Kitty's momma told mom that when she went to the Dr. and he prescribed her an antibiotic for her bladder infection, that after taking it for a week they said she was on the wrong one so now they have her on the right antibiotic.
Second, Lola Kitty's momma went to lean over the arm of her wheelchair and she broke a rib. She never told anyone for a week about hearing a snap and was in pain. The pain finally got so intense while in bed she finally told one of the care people. The Dr. gave her some heavy pain medication to take. Like mom told her, she didn't need anymore pain.
There are kids that goes to the care home and they help with the vegatable garden and also visits. While they were in visiting Lola Kitty's momma Lola Kitty went into hiding as she doesn't care for human kids then when they left the room she came out and got up on the bed with her momma for comfort.

This handsome little white and tiger striped boy was adopted from a local pet store by his future pawrents who wanted a cat to warm up their apartment. Eleven years and five siblings later and Tugger is still "warming" up his home. He enjoys hanging out anywhere that is warm and soft and hates being pestered by his siblings. PLEASE VOTE SATURDAY, MAY 9 FOR MISS MAGGIE MAE OF THE MAINE GANG to represent all of us and our MOMS on MOTHER'S DAY.
Who better to carry the torch in honor of Mother's Day than our very own Munchkin Maggie Mae, a treasured member of one of our senior CC families. For those who don't know The Maine Gang well, they are 18-cat strong (three Angels) plus they have a Dalmatian named Cassie besides their two-legged furless critters running around. Talk about one busy Mom whose specialty is rescuing sick, old and/or special needs cats!!! MEOW-curtsys and bows to her!!
MAGGIE MAE 34214 is very special as she is a dwarf kitty who was going to be put down by an irresponsible breeder. Just because she was not show quality!! Maggie Mae was rescued from the breeder by a well-intentioned couple who had over 175 cats which they did not adopt out. She and her brother Herbie were rescued from this couple then adopted by The Maine Gang Mom where both had their furrever home. Both had chronic upper herpes virus and Herbie became an angel at age 3.
If you think a short-legged Munchkin can't run fast then you have not met Maggie Mae! Nothing stops her from giving her Mom joy. She especially loves giving headbonks and suckles on her Mom's shoulders at night. Better make sure you have tuna breath when she is around as Maggie Mae loves smelling her humans' breath.
Maggie Mae's Mom and Dad bought a house in 2000 just so they could have as many cats as they wanted. Her mom volunteers at a no-kill shelter and works full time as an ER nurse. What dream does she have? To win the lottery so she can buy a bigger house to rescue more cats!!! Guess this is what happens when one grows up without a cat - one makes up for it big-time and in the right way. hey there kitcats! (that's what mommy always calls me hehe)a new window seat huh? that's funny that you mentioned that cuz mommy wants to get me one of those too. i'm always sitting in the windows now that mommy has them open a lot (with the screen still in of course). i love to listen to the birds, and mommy put a new bird feeder outside the kitchen windows and there are a bunch of birds out there all them time. and there's even these creatures mommy calls squirls that come by all the time and steal the bird food. mommy likes to put a couple of peanuts out in the morning for them and let them eat that instead. i'm not to sure about these squirles. i make sure i tell mommy that they are around the minute i see them just so she knows. there's been some construction on our street the last few days and i do NOT like all the banging these guys are making! one morning the entire house was shaking and i didn't know what was going on until mommy picked me up and showed me through the window that it was people making this horrible noise. i did not like it at all!!! it was sooooo nice out the other morning that i decided that while mommy was feeding the birds and puting her plants outside i would take a stroll on the deck and see what was going on. when i saw mommy coming back though, i got scared cuz i knew i wasn't allowed outside so i hid under the deck for about 20 minutes. mommy was pretty mad at me! she scolded me, but then i came and apologized later with lots of kisses and i rubbed up against her legs a lot. that's how i always apologize when i get into trouble. mommy says i'm only allowed outside when she is with me and holding me cuz she's afraid that i will run away and get hurt. i think mommy was extra mad about me hiding outside because she didn't want to leave me out there but i was making her late for work. i don't know what i was thinking. well i've got to get going, mommy says it's too nice of a day to sit inside all the time so she's going to plant some more flowers (that i'm supposedly not allowed to eat, but we'll see about that) here's a purrrfect vote for you and we hope to hear from you soon!

"We Are Siamese if you please" This regal Siamese female with eyes like sapphires has a soft pretty name, CHANTILLY LACE 67319. She's part of a Siamese cattery where this wonderful breed is developed for Siamese lovers to enjoy! In fact, we want to wish an early Happy Mother's Day to Chantilly Lace, who's expecting her very first litter at the end of May. Her human family tends to the needs of the Siamese family by providing food, shelter, and lots of love. In fact we commend her family for their patience, understanding and sense of humor through all the kittens that arrive. The fact is CHANTILLY LACE aka TILLY is very social and loves to play with the kittens and adult cats. She's especially close to Leo and together they agree there's always one more nap to take. Nap time is either in the cushiness of Mom's bed or the couch. TILLY'S talented and will dance when Mom sings her song, "Chantilly Lace" by the Big Bopper. Ya know: "Chantilly Lace and a pretty face. Pony tail hangin' down. It wiggles when she walks and she giggles when she talks".......(That's going to age some of you MOL!) In honor of Mother's Day, we think it's time beautiful CHANTILLY LACE 67319 was presented with her very own COTD badge!

It is our pleasure to announce the marvelous miraculous Meezer Mr. MING #35773, aka Mingwah, Minglebert, Minglebee & just plain Sweet Pea is the COTD candidate for WED. May 6! A very young Ming was adopted by his parents from the local SPCA & became sick with Calicivirus shortly after. Ming’s Mom was terrified when he would not eat so Ming was put in the animal hospital where he was tube fed as they tried to clear up his infection. After 2 days of not eating, Ming’s Mommy was terrified little Ming would perish & she stayed at the hospital with him ~ they were kind enough to let her stay in an exam room with Ming all day. Ming’s Mommy held him & rocked him, singing to him ~ something she does for all her kitties! They were not having any luck getting Ming to eat. He lost a whole pound of weight (and Ming was only 3 pounds to begin with!). Ming loved his Mommy & would try to nurse on her neck so she got the brilliant idea to put some food on her neck. She sat with Ming, putting bits of fish & shrimp on her neck! Ming did lick it off! Miraculously, she got a whole plate of food into little Ming! That was the critical turning point in Ming’s sickness & he began his journey to recovery!
Ming’s Daddy wrote down the true story of Ming’s recovery & sent it in to Cat Fancy magazine, along with a picture of Ming, for a contest on how a Vet’s Office went out of the way, above & beyond the call of duty to help a family with their cat’s recovery. Ming & his family did not win the contest but the Vet’s Office received a copy of the article & Ming’s picture. It is proudly displayed on the wall at the Vet’s Office! All the girls in the office come to see Ming when he comes in to see Dr. Howey! And even though Ming is now a robust 13 pound 2 year old picture of health, he still thinks of himself as a 2 pound baby, climbing up on his Mommy’s shoulder and yes, he still tries to nurse. Ming’s Mom still rocks him & sings to him & he is one happy “kitten”! When Mom & Dad hug, Ming always runs over, stands up and pats them on the thighs because he needs to be in the middle of all the hugs in the house! This beautiful all black kitty's cat mom was rescued outside a shopping center where his future dad worked. Raven was even born on her future dad's birthday! It was declared fate and she and his sister, Ms. Murphy, soon found themselves in a new, loving home. Raven has the ability to disappear and magically reappear and she can also leap from a standing start to the top of a door. What a trick! She loves hanging out on the pillows on his mom and dad's bed and insists everyone to go to bed at 10:30. Please paw on by her page 79525 and leave her a vote for her very own COTD badge. How are you today.I had to leave my Gypsy at the vet this morning.The vet does not know what is going on with her,she has to have iv fluids in her veins,and will do blood work to check internal organs,vet will call with the results later today.I broke down when I had to hand my baby over to the vet,I told him if there was nothing he could do for her,I wanted to bring her home and let her go peacefully at home in her own little bed.He said he would respect my wishes on that.It is breaking my heart looking at her little bed sitting here without her in it.Please keep her in your prayers that there is something they can do for her.Spongie says hi,and that he will try to be back later with his daily adventures,he is being a really good boy for mom,thanks for all the prayers for my Gypsy,Mom Lynn,Gypsy.We will keeep your grandpap in our prayers,Angel Sonny please watch over our Gypsy for us.Come visit me, Angel Gypsy,RIP My Sweet Angel Baby,I Love You, Angel Buddy,Love,Miss You Sweet Boy, "The Gang",Spongie's Siblings,Love,Miss You Buddy, Angel Rambo,I love and miss you my sweet angel boy, K. One day, Gidget’s soon-to-be mom & dad went to their local animal control, seeking a puppy. What they came back with was Gidget, a beautiful Siamese, instead! It was truly “love at first sight” for Gidget’s mom and dad, as Gidget charmed them at the shelter by purring at them and rubbing her dad’s face with her paw. Now, Gidget is the “queen” of her house and her mom and dad serve willingly as her “staff.” Yet, while she is very regal, she is every bit as loving, just as she was back at the shelter on her adoption day! She has been deemed “the sweetest cat” her mom has ever known.
Gorgeous Gidget’s two best hobbies are meowing at all her C.C. friends and EATING, of course! This adorable girl’s motto purroclaims {proclaims}: “Every homeless kitty deserves a happy, furrever home!” Gidget would like to dedicate her COTD campaign & win to all the homeless kitties in rescues and shelters awaiting their furrever homes.
