Hi Misty Blue,
I have asked Mom to try to blog my friends to let them know that Grandma is doing well. Her surgery went great, thank you so much for your prayers. Mom will be with Grandma at least a week more and I am missing her soooo very much and she misses me as well. She has managed to get a few videos posted of me. I now have 23 videos posted so ask your Mom to just do a search under Wolfie and it will pull all 23 of them up. Mom and I would love it if you left a comment on the ones you view. The DSL connection at Grandmas has been mostly out and the repair guy came out and all but it keeps going out, so I told Mom to just do a c/p to my friends so they would hear from us, that they will understand. Mom will be home for only two weeks when she and Dad will be going on a cruise. She has asked her friend Ms. Brenda to keep me for her since she does not trust Grandpa. He showed his rump on our vacation and told the kids that a cat is only good for slinging against a wall or fence and that he used to enjoy doing that when he was young. Dad refuses to talk to Grandpa since then either. Even though Mom keeps telling him he is wrong to lower himself to the same level and that he will regret not talking to his Dad once he is gone. Mom did bring me to Grandmas with her last Saturday night (the 29th) and brought me home on Sunday. I hated it there! Grandma has three girl cats and they are MEAN. I stayed in Moms bedroom and refused to come out!! It was good to be with Mom though. Mom says it breaks her heart the way I look at her when she drops by to visit for a few minutes. I can not wait for her to be home!! I sure hope all is well at your home and you are enjoying life. Grandmas friend's daughter was in a bad wreck on Thursday and they don't expect her to live much longer, she is 16, please pray for a miracle and that Teresa will pull through. Thank you. Please forgive our quiteness, it has not been something Mom has been happy with!! Hope to hear from you soon. Mom and I miss and love yall, Wolfie and Mom Linda

Hi
King Wolfgang Vladimir LePew’s reign has come to an end. It has been a short reign but one that he is vastly proud of. Many royal duties at his home castle pertaining to illness within the royal realm has kept his loyal servant Mom Linda from her royal blogging duties this past month. King Wolfie sincerely hopes that his royal subjects understand and forgive his quite reign. Please remember that he thanks each and every member of his royal kingdom for their loyal support and the great honor they bestowed upon him. Not one day during July went by that King Wolfie did not think of you. King Wolfie thanks you from the bottom of his heart.

Tomorrow Grandma is having open heart surgery so PLEASE keep her in your prayers. This coming month may be a quite one as well, but we will blog as we can.

I have new videos up, just do a search under Wolfie and be sure to go to the second page as the one of me as King is at the BOTTOM of the second page. Also, when I visited SpongeBob week before last I did a video of just him and got it posted. Just do a search under Spongebob to pull it up. I also have new pictures at the bottom of my page. Mom submitted a few of my photo shoot pictures to the local Humane Society in hopes that I will win one of the twelve pin up spots on the 2010 calendar, so keep your paws crossed for me. Even if I don't win, I still have my photos as a thumbprint somewhere in the calendar.

Always remember that I am thinking of you and keeping all my friends and their families in my prayers each day. Mom and I are trying to touch base with everyone.

We love yall,

Wolfie and Mom Linda

Hey Misty Blue Eyes!
Anderson says I am so very thrilled to have been chosen for this wonderful honor to run
for the special priviledge of COTM! To follow the outstanding kitties who have earned this prestigious award is a dream come true. The platforms
that have been offered have been very impressive and trying to find a unique and interesting format for August has been challenging.

I have noticed in visiting friends on CC that profiles state basically four ways kitties have come to their forever homes: 1) breeder, 2) shelter/rescue, 3) stray, and 4) family and friends. I must thank
my catpaign manager, brother Dean, who has helped lay the groundwork by requesting information from friends in a survey. We sent out over 35 survey requests to kitties we noticed came from a shelter or rescue, as stated in their profile. We were very pleased with the response we
got. Obviously many kitties and their pawrents are very proud of their shelters, as well they should be, and provided us with lots of details and web sites.
We found this information very interesting and I plan to use my daily blogs to describe different shelter/rescues from around the country,
mentioning which kitties originated from them. I hope you will all find this enlightening.

I am also requesting you all support the Animal Rescue Site, ARS, daily. Clicking on this site provides cats and dogs at shelters with free food.
There is no purchase necessary. The ARS also has beautiful jewelry, clothing and gifts for all occasions at very reasonable prices. Each
purchase provides more food for shelter animals. Mom has been shopping at the ARS for years. Please take a moment to check out the ARS and add it to your favorites to click every day. www.theanimalrescuesite. com Thank
you very much. This helps countless shelters and only takes a minute.

In addition to posting data from shelter web sites, we will be assigning a star rating system. One * terrible, two ** poor, three *** satisfactory,
four **** good, and five ***** excellent. Stars will be assigned by evaluation of eight services: 1) adoption, 2) lost & found, 3) investigations of cruelty, neglect and abuse, 4) rescue & emergency services, 5) reducing tragic overpopulation, 6) humane education, 7) foster care program, and 8) spay/neuter services. Also
consideration will be given for no kill status, non-profit, fund raising programs and # of
animals receiving services. This is only our assessment awarded on details posted on web sites. Not all sites include the same information,
so a low star rating does not necessarily mean the shelter is not effective.

I am so very excited to be catpaigning for the honor of COTM throughout August and look forward to visiting you all daily. I hope you will enjoy
my blogs and I look forward to your support. Thank you. Peace and love. Leaving a vote. Have a purrfect day. Kitty kisses. Anderson #41067

Hi Misty Blue Eyes and Family,
Mom really was zonked out on the 1st and got few blogs out then yesterday I had a photo shoot (Mom spent a fortune but she got a CD with them all on it, plus even got one 16 X 20 of me as an angel.) Dad has no idea how much she spent but she considers it her retirement present to herself - tee hee. Last night by the time we got home from taking Hunter home it had started to STORM and continued to do so. Mom didn't turn the computer on and went to sleep. So, please forgive my lateness in getting back to you, here is my acceptance speech: Today I feel to be a truly blessed kitty. What a whirlwind month June was! My sweet girl, Maggie, and I have had so much fun taking you all on a tour of my home state of Louisiana. My Mom retired after thirty years of service to the State of Louisiana. My MHL team the Rodent Rippers took home the Scamper Cup. Three of my dear friends crossed the Rainbow Bridge, Lily Rose, Darling Girl and dear, dear Gypsy. My Grandma found out she needs open heart surgery. My Grandpa turned 80 years old. Maggie’s Mom Pat had knee surgery. My dear friend Bao Bao got a new little brother, Bing Bing. My buddy JoJo became engaged to his lovely girl Emma Grace. MANY of my friends were honored as our COTD. And last but most certainly NOT least my girl, Maggie, agreed to become my beautiful bride! It is with pride and a humbled heart that I accept the crown from my dear, long-time friend, Sylvester. Sylvester has reigned as a magnificent King of June. I pray that I can be as gracious and deserving a King to our wonderful CC community, of which I am honored and proud to be a member. I want to thank each and every friend that took the time to visit each day to leave a vote to make it possible that I should have the honor and privilege to serve as your King of July. I shall forever be grateful to those that catpaigned and/or placed me in their tag lines to get the word out. My heart overflows with love for all my friends and royal subjects. As your King I command each of you to visit King Sylvester #63773, to give him a huge HUZZAH – Long live the King! Leave him a vote of thanks for the wonderful job he has done as your King. My next command is that you should visit page #53825 each and every day of the Month of July so that my friend Sir Fuzzworthy of the Florida Fab Four can receive this crown that I now wear with pride. Don’t forget to congratulate each COTD and vote for those that are catpaigning throughout the month. Today’s COTD is my friend, MerryBelle #6569. Catpaigning today is my friend, Prudence #106518. I expect my CC Kingdom to conduct themselves with compassion and love and to give sympathy, prayers, praise and support to all those in need. I leave you with love, King Wolfie

Hi Misty Blue Eyes and Family,
It is the next to last day of my COTM catpaign and I just can't express how thankful I am for my friends and their support, as my Mom would say...I am "awesomized". Today is my Grandpa on Dad's side 80th Birthday! We got together yesterday with him and gave him lots of photos of Grandma Talbert who passed away 20 months ago today! Today Maggie and Wolfie visit the very old Destrehan Plantation is an antebellum house located near Destrehan, St. Charles Parish, Louisiana. In the nineteenth century, the house was the center of a bustling slave plantation that produced sugar for export. The site hosted the notorious St. Charles Parish Tribunal, which executed 18 of the slaves involved in the 1811 German Coast Uprising, the largest slave revolt in American history. The house is a unique example of a plantation home outliving the oil refinery that had been built around it. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places for its architectural quality and association with important people and events in Louisiana history. One of the oldest homes in the Louisiana Purchase, Destrehan was constructed beginning in 1787 and completed in 1790. Robin de Logny contracted with a free man of color, Charles Pacquet, to build the house and outbuildings to support his indigo plantation. Pacquet was given the use of six slaves to build the house. He was paid the grand sum of "one brute negro," a cow and a calf, 100 bushels of both corn and rice, and $100 in cash upon completion. This building contract, still on file at the parish courthouse in Hahnville, LA, makes Destrehan Plantation the oldest documented house in the Lower Mississippi Valley. In 1914, the Mexican Petroleum Company bought the property and built a refinery. Subsequent owners were Pan American Southern Company and American Oil Company, which closed the refinery in 1959. The following twelve years brought rapid decay for Destréhan Manor. Thanks to an old legend that the illustrious privateer Jean Lafitte had hidden treasure in the house, treasure-seekers left gaping holes in the walls. Vandals also stripped the house of its Italian marble mantels, cypress paneling, Spanish tiles, and window panes. Fortunately, a local sheriff prevented the theft of the plantation's original 1840s iron gates and a 1,400 lb (640 kg) marble bathtub, rumored to be a gift from Napoleon Bonaparte to the family. In 1971, American Oil donated the house and 4 acres (16,000 m2) of land to the River Road Historical Society. Through its all-volunteer efforts, the society has raised sufficient funds to halt the process of decay and has begun to restore the house and grounds. Recent restoration efforts have focused not only on renovating the manor house, but also on recreating the plantation community that surrounded the big house. Wolfie, this plantation is so steeped in history, what a fascinating day this has been!! Congratulations to my friend Maxx #134761, our COTD for today, hope you feel better soon!! Today prec

Hi Misty Blue Eyes and Family,
My Grandma's heart surgery is set for Monday, August 3rd, so please mark your calendars and put her on your prayer list. Maggie's Mom, Pat, is in a lot of pain from her knee surgery performed Wednesday afternoon, please be sure to pray for a speedy recovery. Please keep Spongie's Mom, Lynn, in your prayers as she is having such a difficult time dealing with the loss of our dear Gypsy. Did I tell you what happened to my Mom when she stopped at a Quiznos on Tuesday? There was a little bird sitting on an outside table, Mom went over to it and was talking to it and got down with her face close to its face and she reached out and petted him before he ever decided to fly away! Can you believe that, Mom could barely believe it!! She has had a butterfly do that once before too! Today Wolfie and Maggie are welcomed by Rayne, LA...a treasure of rural Americana spiced with Cajun charm - not to mention cuisine. The Frog Capital of the World and The Louisiana City of Murals welcomes them with warm hospitality. Anyone from the restless R.V. owner who wants to see America first to the foreigner who wants a dash of Old World elan in his or her travels would love Rayne. Rayne is home to one of Ripley's oddities, a state-of-the-art R.V. Park, mesmerizing murals, Cajun cuisine, an antique mall with fabulous treasures at reasonable prices, local festivals (including the annual Frog Festival), and an old-fashioned five-and-dime where a nickel might not buy much today, but what is in store will whisk you away to another world ... the world of Rayne, Louisiana. Take a peek ... Oh Wolfie, this was such a fun day, exploring this quaint little, Southern town! Congratulations to our newest COTD Sissy #6454. Please pounce on by page #106480 and leave a vote for the angels Tales of the Golden Kitty, pirate page! I know I miss Captain Olaf, who was a regular pirate kitty and I was lucky enough to be a crew member while he raided the pages of CC. Don't forget that today is my look alike friend, Leo's Birthday. His page is #129433, he is so missing his friend/sibling the beautiful Lily Rose who strangled to death about a week ago. So make his day with big Birthday wishes. I can't believe how FAST this month has flown by!!! All of you have made it so very special for me and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support of me in my quest to be your next COTM. Enjoy your TGIF! Love you, Wolfie #59175

Page #2 of the French Quarter tour.
When the Pontalba Buildings were complete, the council then had the city surveyor design and build the iron fence around the square and redo the inside landscaping. In the center of the park stands an equestrian statue of Andrew Jackson erected in 1856, one of three in America by sculptor Clark Mills. By the middle 1850s Jackson Square was in the form it has had for parts of three centuries, substantially unchanged. The square originally overlooked the Mississippi River across Decatur Street, but the view was blocked in the 19th century by the building of larger levees. They view the Old Ursuline Convent, which dates from 1752 and is the only remaining building from the French colonial period in the United States. Used by the Ursulines for 90 years, the convent now functions as an archive for the Archdiocese of New Orleans, with documents dating back to 1718. The Sisters moved uptown in 1824, where they remain today. Strolling along they pass by the former residences of William Faulkner and Tennessee Williams; they stop for beignets and coffee at Café du Monde and end at the Old French Market, where they have previously visited. Oh Wolfie what an amazing day we have had learning about Creoles and Cajuns and their unique cuisines as well as the beautiful buildings of the New Orleans French Quarter! Congratulations to our friend, Velvet Knight #10732, our newest COTD. Today is another catpaign FREE day, who will we see in the winners box tomorrow?? It could be YOU!! Thanks go out to all my loyal friends who vote for me every day. It still isn't too late to come by to meet me if you haven't already! Have a good Thursday. Love you, Wolfie #59175 PS Tomorrow, Friday June 26th is my friend Leo's Birthday, his page number is 129433, please run by and leave your birthday greetings for him. Hi Misty Blue Eyes and Family,
It is with such a sad and heavy heart for the loss of so many dear friends in such a short time that Maggie and I continue on my Catpaign trail. Please remember to keep everyone on CC in your prayers as you all are so very important and make the world a much better place. Today Wolfie and Maggie stroll through the French Quarter (Vieux Carre - meaning old square) which was founded in 1718 as the original settlement of this nearly 300 year-old city. They see unique architecture and lush, inviting courtyards as they stroll through the narrow streets, soaking up the charm and ambiance of America's most interesting city. They learn about French and Spanish rule and the Louisiana Purchase. They see the Cabildo, the home of the Spanish municipal government in New Orleans and the site of the Louisiana Purchase transfer ceremonies in 1803. The Saint Louis Cathedral, also known as the Basilica of St. Louis, King of France, which has the distinction of being the oldest continuously operating cathedral in the United States. The first church on the site was built in 1718. The third church, built in 1789, was raised to cathedral rank in 1793. While not the largest or grandest of the city's Catholic churches, this historic Cathedral is an important religious and social center, as well as the seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New Orleans. On the site of three previous churches, the cathedral was expanded and largely rebuilt in 1850, so little of the 1789 structure remaines. Located next to Jackson Square and facing the Mississippi River, the St. Louis Cathedral is at the heart of New Orleans and is one of its most recognizable landmarks. It is often used as the backdrop for newscasts and political speeches featuring the city. Next is the Prebytere, originally called the Casa Curial (Ecclesiastical House), it derives its name from the fact that it was built on the site of the residence, or presbytere, of the Capuchin monks. While intended to house clergy, it was never used as a religious residence. It was designed in 1791 to match the Cabildo, or Town Hall, on the other side of St. Louis Cathedral. The second floor, however, was not completed until 1813. The building initially was used for commercial purposes until 1834 when it was used by the Louisiana Supreme Court. Flanked on either side are the stately and privately owned Pontalba Buildings, built by the Baroness Pontalba on land the Spanish crown had allowed her Father the notary Almonester to acquire. The buildings are row houses, thirty-two of them, sixteen to the side, each with three stories and an attic. If the outsides with their cast iron galleries are French and American, the floor plans are Creole. There are stores downstairs and doors leading to passageways instead of stair halls. At the end of the strange dark passageways, stairs curve gently to the second and third floors and the privacy of residences. Downstairs a walkway shelters customers. When the Pontalba Buildings were complete

Hi Misty Blue Eyes and Family,
We are so sorry but we don't know your Dad's friends and feel bad that he has not heard from them. Don't you feel better since your bath?? Mom found out yesterday that Grandma will be having an angiogram done on Monday because when she took a test at the doctors the other day, during the test she had severe, sharp chest pains. Mom is so worried, would you please keep Grandma in your prayers. Great-Grandma had an angiogram done in June, 1997 and came out of it with no memory and unable to take care of herself anymore and required around the clock care. She wasn't too many years older than Grandma is and she didn't have the heart problems that Grandma has. My team won last night so we actually get to play the final game for the Scamper Cup this Saturday, I am so excited!! If you can drop by the arena and join in with the fun. We have been asked how we enjoyed our stay at Madewood Plantation Maggie and I had such a lovely time at Madewood, we took long, leisurely walks around the grounds and drank mint juleps on the veranda and pretended we were grand plantation owners and having a big ball and we danced the night away. Continuing our tour of New Orleans Wolfie and Maggie visit the only building in America to have served both as a U.S. and Confederate Mint. The Old Mint was built in 1835 during the presidency of Andrew Jackson who had advocated for its establishment in order to help finance development of the nation's western frontier. Renowned architect William Strickland designed the building using the then-popular Greek Revival style. Minting commenced in 1838. In 1861, when Louisiana seceded from the union, state authorities seized the property and transferred it to the Confederate Army. For a short time it was used to mint Confederate currency and to house Confederate troops. This ended when New Orleans was occupied by federal forces. Following the Civil War, during the period of Reconstruction, minting of U.S. coins resumed. Minting operations ceased in 1909 and, for the next 57 years, the Mint served a variety of official purposes. In 1966 the landmark was transferred to the state and in 1981 opened to the public as a State Museum site. How very interesting the Mint is Wolfie!! Thank you for bringing me to tour it!! You are quite welcome my Dear. Please keep Basil #74374 and his family in your prayers. Basil crossed over the Rainbow Bridge yesterday and will be sadly missed by all his friends here on CC. Congratulations to our newest COTD Luvbug #7393. Don't forget to run by page #3106 and drop off a vote for Jordan so he can earn his shiny new badge. Congratulations go out to my friends JoJo #125369 who was blessed yesterday with a YES when he asked the darling Emma Grace #115034 to be his bride! Thank you all for your continued support of my COTM campaign, each and every vote touches my heart and I know I have the most wonderful furriends any kitty could hope for. Hope you have a sunny, fun filled Thursday. Love you, Wolfie #59175

Hi Misty Blue Eyes and Family,
This country is fast going down the toilet because of the politicians and we are all captives with no say in the matter. Voting is a joke, they know who is going to win before they ever even start their silly, expensive campaigning!! They should be more like us kitties here on CC, caring and loving and giving, but that will never happen. Glad you are liking my tours. Today the Rodent Rippers faced off once again with the Kitty Avalanche in the race to the Scamper Cup. We won! So, we are still in the running for the Cup. Please keep your paws crossed that the Rodent Rippers will come out ahead with a win the cup on Saturday, June 13th at the arena on page #121409, at 8:00 p.m. EST. Yesterday when Mom took me outside I almost caught a dragonfly. I batted it with my paw, it flew right into my face, can you imagine such nerve!?!?!? Maggie and I speny the day shopping at the historic French Market For over 200 years, the French Market has been an enduring symbol of pride and progress for the people of New Orleans. While the Market has existed on the same site since 1791, each new decade and governing flag has brought dramatic changes to the Market and helped to secure its special place in the hearts of the people of New Orleans. What began as a Native American trading post on the banks of the mighty, muddy Mississippi River on the site chosen for the City by the French, has become a cultural, commercial and entertainment treasure which the Crescent City proudly shares with the world. Today, America's oldest public market has assumed a leading role in the local economy as well, providing consistently increasing revenues for city government while putting millions of dollars back into the local economy. Time marches on, but the French Market is eternal. America's oldest and best loved public market writes it's own history every day. With each new sunrise on Decatur Street, history repeats itself as it has for over 200 years: always the same, yet impossible to predict. You can purchase vegetables, collectibles, books, music, purses, jewelry, toys, and just about anything you might be looking for. Maggie look at these beautiful beaded purses pick one out and I will get it for you. Those fresh veggies look really yummy. Let’s get a big basket for Mom Pat and Mom Linda and surprise them when we get home. Are you hungry? Let’s go grab a plate of beignets and drink some coffee au lait at the Café DuMonde before we head home. They laugh uncontrollably at one another as each get covered in powdered sugar as they enjoy their beignets. Congratulations to Kuira #40086 for being our COTD today. Please take a moment to run by page #7393 and paw a vote for Luvbug to be our COTD tomorrow. I just can't thank you all enough for all the campaigning for me and votes each and everyday!! You have a simply wonderful Wednesday. Love you, Wolfie #59175

Hi Misty Blue Eyes and Family,
Congratulations my fellow Rodent Rippers on our second win last night tying us with the Kitty Avalanche, how exciting these final playoff games are!! Good luck to both teams as they face off once again on Sunday 06/07, at 8:00 p.m. on page #121409. Wolfie and Maggie head just downriver from New Orleans in Chalmette to the site of the January 8, 1815, Battle of New Orleans: Chalmette Battlefield. Many people believe that this last great battle of the War of 1812 between the United States and Britain was unnecessary, since the treaty ending the war was signed in late 1814--- American victory at the Battle of New Orleans soon became a symbol of a new idea: American democracy triumphing over the old European ideas of aristocracy and entitlement. General Andrew Jackson's hastily assembled army had won the day against a battle-hardened and numerically superior British force. Americans took great pride in the victory and for decades celebrated January 8 as a national holiday, just like the Fourth of July. On the battlefield grounds stands Chalmette Monument, which pays tribute to the troops who fought there. Along what remains of Rodriguez Canal is a re-creation of the rampart which protected the American troops from the British army as well as cannons dating from the period and newer replicas, including a recently-acquired replica of an 18-pounder. The historic Malus-Beauregard House, a beautiful example of French-Louisiana architecture and built some 18 years after the Battle of New Orleans. It is named for its first and last owners. Never associated with a plantation, the house served as a country residence for a succession of wealthy people in the 19th century. Built in the 1830s, it is also on the battlefield grounds. Next to the battlefield is Chalmette National Cemetery, established in May 1864 as a final resting place for Union soldiers who died in Louisiana during the Civil War, the 15,000 headstones in the cemetery mark the gravesites of veterans of the Spanish-American War, World Wars I and II, and the Vietnam War. Four Americans who fought in the War of 1812 are buried here, though only one of them took part in the Battle of New Orleans. Paw in paw Wolfie and Maggie roam the battle fields in reverent silence in honor of the fallen heroes resting there. Congratulations to Angel Ashes #101450 our Saturday Angel COTD. Make your way over to Priscilla's page #59900 and paw her a vote today for the COTD of Sunday. I appreciate each of you that comes by to paw me a vote for my COTM, please feel free to ask all your friends to drop by as well I always enjoy making new friends. Thank you all. Love you, Wolfie #59175

Hi Misty Blue Eyes and Family,
Thank you so much for coming by to vote for me, I so appreciate it!! I am so humbled, so excited, so NERVOUS to be given this great honor to run as CC's next King of July! I have asked my beautiful lady Maggie, #2546, to accompany me each day this month as we take our CC friends on a tour of my home state of Louisiana. My genuine wish is that everyone learn a bit while enjoying the trips. Come now.....Maggie and I will be taking the Safari Wagon Adventure tour at the Global Wildlife Center located in Folsom, Louisiana. This center offers an educational, exhilarating and exciting guided tour around a 900 acre preserve with over 4,000 threatened, exotic, and endangered wildlife, from around the world, they live and flourish in a free-roaming natural environment. There is no set path through the plains; as your safari guide spots the wildlife, he brings you up close for a personal encounter, and explains the exciting natural behaviors as you witness them. Look Maggie. Wolfie points out a family of giraffes strolling down to the lake for a drink of water. Maggie excitedly points out two male Pere David Deer clashing their antlers as they compete for dominance of the herd. Oh Wolfie, this is so exciting!!! Congratulations to our new KING Sylvester #63773, you so deserve this honor!! We bow to Queen Aunt Samantha, #15442 our gracious May Queen, you did an excellent job doing it "your way"!! Congratulations to our newest COTD, Angelina Kate #83386. Today is open Monday so our new COTD will be a surprise for all. I sincerely thank you all for this great honor. Hope you have had an excellent Monday. All my love, Wolfie #59175

Hi Misty,
HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!! Have you and your family had a really fun day? It has stormed off and on all day. Mom and Dad didn't venture out away from where they are staying cause of the weather. Mom uploaded the video of me in the walk in shower at the Hard Rock hotel from last week. She closed me in, it is an all glass shower, then laughed at me cause I was meowing to get out. Hopefully it will get posted in the next couple of days. Our Netflix movies will be late cause of the holiday today. I hope you have taken a moment out from your fun celebrations to remember those that put their lives on the line for our freedom each and every day and for those who selflessly gave their lives so that you and I might enjoy the life that we do. These people are true heroes that deserve our love and respect!! Happy Memorial Day! Love you, Wolfie

VOTE VELCRO & MARLIN 101218 COTD TUESDAY, MAY 26
Once bad boys, now good meowy citizens, these brothers got off to a rough start here on the CatChannel. They’ve learned the rules, vote for COTD and COTM candidates, conCATulate winners and participate in CC activities. This kitty duo has discovered the value of furiendship. It would be pawsome if they could share COTD honors.

The caterrific pair Velcro & Marlin are brothers, lucky enough to have been adopted by a pair of special young Moms, who are themselves sisters! Before moving into their furever home, they were known at the cat shelter as Velcro and Teriyaki. Teriyaki was renamed Marlin - after “Finding Nemo’s” Dad, thus V&M were “born.”

Feline acrobat Marlin (B&W) can CATapult about 5 feet through the air – or at least he did the time he was under the sofa and the vacuum was coming his way! Velcro (all Black) will sit on command. Both of them have mastered getting treats, plus they have purrfectly trained their Moms to CATer to their individual tastes - Velcro insists on anything other than dry treats while Marlin devours chicken.

Velcro hangs out UNDER the bed, loves potato chips, and enjoys sleeping while Marlin prefers to be IN the bed, loves real meat, and enjoys playing with toy mice; however, there are some things these brothers do together. Before becoming great MHL fans, when time permitted, they each played left wing on the Gryffindor Lions! V&M should be returning to the team as players shortly.

These kitties also love to change up their avatar with holiday or seasonal themes.
On any given occasion, you might find them at the movies, visiting a CC restaurant or entertainment site. V&M enjoy food so much they even opened a restaurant, V&M’s Pawty Place! You can’t get waffles with tuna syrup anywhere else!

These two are definitely the Dynamic Duo as their motto suggests! So please visit their page today (101218), paw a vote and leave a blog so they can be awarded a gleaming COTD badge.

And don’t forget to pounce on over and paw a vote for our COTM candidate, Sylvester #63773!

Thank you from YumYum and Babette/White Paws

Sweet Misty Blue Eyes,
Sorry it's been so long. Mom has been trying to get on after work and after taking care of us, but it gets to be 10:30, then 11:00, then 11:30 pm, and then it's too late, and weekends have been pretty busy. Is anybody a Star Trek Fan like mom is and has been for years? She loved the new Star Trek movie - in the theaters now by the way! Whether or not you are a fan, you will enjoy the movie! So, give it a try if you haven't already. Mom and Aunt Linda went to a lovely tea room last Saturday with a few other friends - called the English Rose Tea Room - which is in a suburb city of Phoenix, called Carefree. Very beautiful out there. The houses and stores and businesses blend into the the scenery and landscape rather that detracting from it. Anyway, they had the Duchess of ??something tea with little sandwiches, scones with imported devonshire cream and strawberry preserves, and 4 kinds of finger desserts (don't ask me their names - mom doesn't remember - they were just good!). They are planning to revisit the tea room sometime next month. It would be lots of fun around Christmas! THIS IS THE CASA GRANDE GANG wishing you a wonderful weekend -- and sending you a vote of love and friendship!

Hi Misty Blue Eyes and Family,
So good to hear from you. You would not believe how very far behind I am again!! I told Mom to do a generic blog and just get it out to all my friends to let them know I am thinking of them and love them. We got really behind cause our central air went out and our house is like a furnace so Mom hasn't felt much like being on line! Please forgive me if you said something I needed to comment about or left me some goodies. Please know that I appreciate everyone and everything they may do. I am currently with Mom and Dad at the Hard Rock Casino in Biloxi, MS. We just had to get away from the heat at home. Our new unit is not in yet. Mom spoke to the repairman this morning. This hotel room is amazing! The windows are ceiling to floor and I can see the Gulf of Mexico, the pool area and the Beau Rivage Casino down the street. I can also she the beach road. Very nice. The furnishings are ultra modern and the shower is a huge walk in that has three shower heads!! Mom better behave and not turn that on when I am exploring!! You need to go do a search under Browse Videos for "Wolfie" cause I currently have seven videos posted. Please leave a comment and rate them. Mom and I love to read those. I hope all the Moms really liked our Mother's Day blog and for those that asked me to help them with a card and gift for their Moms (those of you that I have home addresses for) we hope we did a good job for you. If any of your siblings or human family members are not feeling well, please know that Mom and I are keeping you all in our prayers. Those of you that voted for me last Monday I want to thank you so much, because of you I was COTD on Tuesday. What a wonderful surprise that was. I believe we managed to thank everyone that came by on Tuesday but for those that have come by since then, thank you so much! I will be playing on the Chubbie Cubbies team for the third round of the hockey play offs. Our next game is tomorrow night on page 121409, please attend if you can. Once again please forgive this generic blog, we surely hope to do better in the future, just sometimes things going on in life just gets in the way!! We love you, Wolfie and Mom Linda

WE ARE ALL BACK!! Mom said we were so far behind she wans't going to be able to even catch me up, so we are writing to most of our friends. I hope you all saw the note my mom left on my page as to why we were all gone. Also on my page, mom put a pic of a dog that her brother adopted from our shelter while he was here visiting. Her brother is going back home tomorrow and picking the dog up. Her sad story about how the dog got to the shelter. Maybe another day I will tell you all about that. TIMMYS FUNTASTIC FACTS, TIPS & MYTHS: How can a cat crawl through openings smaller than his body?
This ability is due to the absence of a collarbone. A cat has a chest cavity that is very small for his size; the lack of the collarbone and small chest size makes him practically collapsible. With the help of his whiskers, a cat will carefully figure out the height or width of an opening before attempting entrance.

Hi Misty,
This blog is for your Mom (Dad if he acts as both.)

Mom, thank you for loving me no matter what I do. Thank you for worrying over me and nursing me when I am sick. Thank you for taking time out of your busy life to play with me. Thank you for taking me to the Vet and buying me special medications, food, treats, toys, furniture, etc. Thank you for not minding a world covered in hair. Thank you for treating me as your child and not an animal to be tolerated. Thank you for keeping my food and water dish clean, fresh and filled. Thank you for keeping my potty clean and fresh. Thank you for cleaning up, without complaint, when I have been sick, coughed up a hairball, or needed help with cleanup when my fur gets too long-you know where. Thank you for not becoming angry when I become a stubborn puss. When we have claws, thank you for tolerating the occasional scratch and supplying us with an alternative to your furniture for which to sharpen our claws. Thank you for sharing your space with me, even when I want the "Lion's" share. Thank you for allowing me to be the "BOSS" with all my demands and desires for which you always come through. Thank you for the many hours you spend giving me a fun life filled with friends for me and you as well here on CC. Thank you for being there through all the ups and down in all my nine lives and most importantly for being there with me to hold my paw as my tired little body gives up the fight and I must leave you to cross over the Rainbow Bridge. The forever home, filled with love overflowing is more appreciated than you could ever imagine. Today and every day of the year, I honor YOU, Mom. You are the BEST!! HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!

I leave a vote for you, my friend, and for your Mom a lovely bouquet of spring and wild flowers adorned with feathers and wands for which your Mom can play with you!!

Hi Misty
Sorry you guys got soaked, bet Dolly didn't. Sorry, did not get on since 5/6. We are having it really windy here today, mom got some cute pictures of the new kitties on our porch railing. Well 1 of them learned how to get up on railing, the others couldn't make it up there. TIMMYS FUNTASTIC FACTS, TIPS & MYTHS: "Psi trailing" is the term used for the cat's superior but mysterious ability to return to the lair, homing in over hundreds-even thousands-of miles. Cats are also capable of a second type of homing, tracking down a family who has moved a great distance away. This navigational sense is still the subject of research around the world.

Hi Misty,
I wanted to let you know how happy and proud I am for you that you now have your shiny badge here on your page. It sure does look good. I sure would love being friends with you! Yes, I am a wooly bully sheep in wolves clothing - MOL! They have switched our human hockey team from the Canadians to the Vancouver Canucks and our new team name is Voracious Cats. I am still a Center, 1st Line and my human's name is Henrik Sedin, he is a twin and Rascal #75289 plays the twin! We have played two games in the second round of playoff games and currently stand at 2-2. The May 1st game was our first as this team. I think these Canucks are a much better team than the Canadians ever were and we should play much better as the VC's than when we were the Frisky Predators. My human on this team has scored an average of one goal each game, which has been 80 plus games!! I was named one of the top three players in the May 3rd nights game and top player in Wednesday the 6th game. Then Friday the 8th our team lost in overtime. My whole team is staying the same cat players, though I think Misse has dropped out. Our next game is Sunday night at 8:00 ET on page #121409. I would love if you could be there to cheer me on!! Sylvester #63773 is running for COTM. I am so happy and excited cause he and his family have been really good friends since not long after I got onto CC! It is always so nice to see friends as COTD and COTM, isn't it? Mom went to a Wedding Shower on Saturday, it was nice. She didn't get to take me out on Saturday but she got me outside Sunday before it started storming and then not again until Tuesday. Was it ever HOT out there! Mom uploaded two more videos on Sunday and they are already posted! Remember to just do a search under Wolfie to bring all my videos up. Please be sure to leave us a comment we so enjoy knowing which of our friends have been by to view them. Hope you have an excellent weekend. Loving purrs, Wolfie
