Breathtaking transformation
My sister lives in Harrington Park, northern NJ. They did not see any snow. My brother lives in Flemington but don't know about his area. In NH, Concord got 22" & Jaffrey 31"; both are 72 miles away from me. We got under 6" and most of it has melted because the sun was brightly shining. The temperature is starting to drop fast right now.
The snowflake is a simple example of self-assembly. There is no blueprint or genetic code that guides the growth of a snowflake, yet marvelously complex structures appear, quite literally out of thin air.
