P. K. 's Mom wrote a beautiful story in his profile and we copied here for you: "Mom rescued me and my sister Gabby from a group of 30-40 cats and kittens. I was a very active kitten, and Mom had me declawed when I was a few months old because I kept bouncing off the walls and leaving scratches on them. Even though it nevered bothered me, Mom really felt guilty about it and she said she'd never do it to a cat ever again. I had a wonderful life with my Mom and Dad, but I developed some health problems as I got older (I always had a heart murmur), and finally, one day the vet told Mom I would probably only have about six months or so left to live because I had something called CRF and my kidneys weren't functioning well. But, I fooled him...I lived another two years, thanks to lots of TLC, medications, and the sub-Q fluids that Mom gave me. She says that the day I told her I couldn't go on any longer was one of the saddest days of her life. But, someday we'll see each other again. VOTE FRIDAY FOR ANGEL JUNE #34620 FOR SAT COTD
One day a beautiful solid gray kitty came into the Georgia Gang's yard. She was fed a meal, and decided to stay. Since she looked like one of the resident cats, Mr. Kitty, they named the new cat Junior. Imagine Mom's surprise when Junior had 4 kittens! Junior was renamed June. Mom took all four kittens and June inside to be part of the furrever family. Time passed, and the kittens grew up and started trying to boss their kitty mama June. She would hiss at them as she taught them kitty manners! June became Dad's favorite and waited for him to come at night. One night he came home, but June did not come running to greet him. When he found her, her spirit had gone over the Rainbow Bridge. When Mom came home, they both began to cry. They could not understand why June had left them. She was young, she appeared to be healthy. The family was heartbroken. Friday, will you help honor sweet Angel Kitty June #34620. I'm soooooo sorry about Sassy!!! It's hard to get over. I'm still pouting. I'm making her a garden, I've got a statue of a cat with angel wings on it sleeping. It's me, Angel PK, welcoming you to CC. I had a long battle with kidney disease myself and my Mom misses me terribly just like your Mom misses you. I know my Mom sends her deepest sympathy. But, there's no illness here at the Rainbow Bridge, and there's all the food we can eat! We'll keep an eye on all our humans and kitties we left behind until we are reunited again!
