Attention All VFP Team Members!!
Rascal here! I guess I am the new team captain of the VFP. We haven't heard from BlackBear or his Mom this past season, so we need to get things in motion to see how many of you on our roster are planning on being a part of the VFP team for the 2012-2013 season. I am leaving this notice on each player's page and hope you could RSVP to me on the VFP Team Page #221780 as soon as possible. We will be making several changes to the team roster and need to know who will be playing and who will not be returning. Some of our more important players were inactive most or all of the past season and we will be replacing them with active kitties who are looking to move up. We regret this decision, but we need players who can be at the games and take an active role. ATTENTION ALL MHL HOCKEY PLAYERS!!
This message is only being posted on one or two pages in each family so I can get it out to more kitties! Please pass the word on to the rest of your family as needed.
On Friday July 6th, at 7:30 pm EST (4:30 pm PST) we will hold our annual MHL Hockey Awards Ceremony! We will be enjoying an excellent catered meal in the newly completed Catvention Center at the White Squirrel Campground, page #189629. The menu for the evening will be posted on that page before the event. Following the dinner, the Awards Ceremony will commence at about 8 pm EST (5 pm PST) hosted by our very own Commish, Casey! Don't worry if you can't make it early for the meal, food will be served whenever you arrive. We will have live blogging that night for as long as you want or are able to stay.
On Saturday and Sunday we will have a large number of events and activities available for your enjoyment! Take part in our golf an fishing tourneys, water and small sports, individual games, etc. See the Park page for a list of things you can get involved in! If you wish you can blog with your friends at a time you arrange, or just log in to let us know you are there and participate silently. The Squirrel Box Resturant is open 24/7 for any time you are hungry. The menu is posted on the right side of the page.
Lodging is available for your use if you want to spend the whole weekend. Check the page for details. Anything you need is available at the campground! Just check with the staff in the Country Store.
This weekend event is for all MHL players, their families, friends, and pawrents! Bring everyone and have the best time you can have in the great outdoors! We will have special things to do and chaperones and sitters for the little ones, so bring your babies!
If you want, we can live blog again here on Sunday night, the 8th, and take a short break from hockey to just enjoy each other and get caught up on all the mews we have to share.
One final thing: PLEASE DO NOT VOTE FOR THIS PAGE when you are here. We don't want to interfere with any catpaign or special day that is on the calender!

Happy New Year!
Do hope all is well with all of you and mom too. We are doing well and mom is hanging in and handling the homefront. We look forward to sharing another year ahead with all our friends on CC, DC and SAC, though currently we have only kitties, dogs and humans in our family and Angel rats. Mom said she does not have enough time to add new members, but if a rescue comes along in any species, it will be considered or helped to find an appropriate home. We want to thank a dear friend of mom's, who recently adopted Hefty--- you heard right, Hefty. No, never fear, he shall not leave our home! Mom's good friend said she wanted to help mom this year with her rescue expenses for our care. Since she really couldn't designate our care though mom's rescue group, she said she would send a monthly check directly to mom in Hefty's name. All she requires is occasional pictures and letters from her "Adopted Kitty Hefty." Mom could hardly say no to this request, so she agreed. We sincerely hope that Hefty's new mom and brother,Gato(who doesn't get along with him in real space) will join cc, so all our friends will meet them. Mom's friend, Hefty's second mom, have been friends since college days, so we are looking forward to welcoming her, when they are ready. The wind is really blowing around here and mom says its really cold out. Happy Caterday!
BB we haven't been by in a long time. Tell mom our mom will call soon and will do the edit for Sunday. Mom said we have to update our friends on the family situation, etc. Mom is feeling better, though she never got through to the doctor. She did call, but they put her on hold and her phone dropped the call, before they answered! After a couple more days she felt better and didn't need them. Things are about the same with uncle Earl and cousin Janet. He is now in the hospital. They were unable to insert the feeding tube, so are doing it through another iv line. He has to be watched 24/7 by nurses or he will pull the iv's out. That can't go on forever, but mom says Janet has to make her own decision, when the time comes.
On a lighter note, a little Beagle named Hank is finding his way home with the help of mom, our vet and a neighbor, who saw this little dog in a sweater running loose! No tags, but he had a microchip and the vet scanned it. not the end of the story, however, because the original owners gave him to someone a month ago. That person called the vet and today they will pick him up, we hope. He stayed overnight with our neighbor. Mom said it wouldn't be easy for us to take him and the neighbor and their children were more than happy to have a dog for the night. They told mom he was well behaved. The moral in this story is update your chip info! You never know when its needed. Chips work, but its important for the info to be correct. We knew someone must love this dog, because even without tags, he was wearing a warm sweater! Updating chips is important for us cats too and tags don't hurt, even for indoor only, which all of us here are supposed to be. Mom takes Barney out with her on his leash in the fenced yard, but you all have heard some of his escape adventures, when he gives her a hard time. It is very nice to see you all again. We really mised all of you.
Mom c/p your blog to my page, but then remembered she can't click the link for your name and had to go back to the MHL page to look for you again...MOL!!!
I'll tell Angels Jinx and Shadow to look up Angel Jasmine...she should go to one of their BBQ's if she likes BBQ's.
If I may ask...what OFFICE program did your mom send out the schedules on??? Casers mom sent out the OCT ones on WORD and mom couldn't print it out...there wasn't even a place to print it out on Word...mom finally got it when Sandy sent it to her via Adobe PDF.

WITH A HEAVY AND BROKEN HEART.....
Becky and the Frisky Pearls knock on the door and wait for someone to answer. We've come to give you the bad news and hope you can help us and our family with prayers and healing purrs. Our Aunt Tinker #75289 has been diagnosed with a very agressive and late stage cancer in her mouth and will be going to the Rainbow Bridge probably the first of next week. The cancer is under her tongue and can't be removed and has grown so fast that she is no longer able to eat much and has lost about a third of her body weight. She is very stressed out and pulling out her fur. Momma is heartbroken at the thought of losing her heart and nurse kitty. Aunt Tinker is only 10 years old and is fighting very hard to stay with us but is rapidly losing the battle. We don't want her to suffer and know that the time is fast approaching to let her go. Please pray for Momcat Sue that she will have the strength to do the right thing at the right time. We will miss our Aunt so much but know that she will always be with us in our hearts. Hi Blackbear and Mom Dora,
Just wanted to pounce over and meow "hi." Guess what, I am going to play on KCK's team this year with my "roomie" Yum Yum. I am so excited. I went to my first practice session for the upcoming 2011-12 season and did pretty good.
I just want to thank you so much for helping me get to Florida and my new home. I don't care for Yum Yum or the other kitties too awfully much - I hiss and growl at them every chance I get...teehee I play feather wand with my Florida Mom everyday. She is trying to get me to chase a ball, but I'm not falling for that one. I have been enjoying the lanai also...some pictures are in my gallery.
I look forward to seeing you at the rink. I'm sure we will play your team a few times and maybe I will score a goal or two against your team....MOL

I am so sorry to hear that mom is having a tough time. My mom knows how bad it can be but you can not let it get to you. Mom broke her arm and then lost her job. She is depress but fights it. We saw your blog on the CMR page and want to tell you our heart goes out to you. This problem is a lot more widespread than most people realize, and we are glad there has been so much about it in the news and on the tv. We have seen stories where a lot of famous television and movie stars are dealing with this. Thankfully, people are now open to talking about it, and thankfully, there are a lot of new medicines to stop it. Every medicine is not right for every person, but if the patient will stay in contact with their physician, the perfect medicine will be found for them. I am holding your dear mom in my thoughts and prayers. I have missed SO MUCH meowing with your family at the rink. You have a lot of dear furriends that have been missing you.
I am holding your paw and praying your mom finds a way out of the depression and panic attacks, whether it is through counseling, meds or support of friends during this difficult time. We must go on and remember dear dear Kathy and angel Jasmine as we go through our lives, honoring their memories and staying active for them and for their memory. I believe Kathy would have wanted that.
You are part of a circle of love and caring here on Cat Channel. CC may be silly at times but it is full of the most compassionate purrsons that mom and I have ever known. We miss meowing with you and hope you can come back to be with us as often as mom feels up to it.

NATIONAL DAY OF ENCOURAGEMENT♥
~*~HISSES, GROWLS & BAKING~*~
EUGENE, OREGON WEATHER REPORT:
The temperature was high 74 & low was 46 this morning, now it's 71 with humidity 44% & wind is 5 MPH. Saturday's suppose to be Partly Cloudy & High 74.
It was a cooler morning when we went outside. Mom seen our neighbors' kitty~Patch coming towards our driveway and then she looked at me which I locked my eyes onto him. Mom said "No Rhoamin" as I started towards him. Mom quickly came to me and stomped on my leash and I hissed and growled while mom picked me up and put me back inside the house. Mom told me she was sorry, but didn't want me fighting. How RUDE for mom to stop me as all I wanted to do is PROTECT my territory!!!! Tehehehe!!!! Mom did let me come back out once Patch was gone.
Mom made dad a Deep Dish Strawberry-Rhubarb Pie today along with a couple smaller ones. Mom has never made one of those before and told dad not to complain if it doesn't taste good. After it was done, dad tried a piece and he said it was delicious then ate another piece. Mom doesn't like Rhubarb so she never ate any.
Our new neighbors seems to be nice people and one of them came back from the corner store yesterday as we were in the front yard and said hi. He also said "Hello kitty, you're a pretty kitty" as he said this to Jazpyr 10428. Mom smiled and that guy made mom happy with his comment. They must be nice to talk to us which means they must like kitties, too!!!!

We understand. Our Mom suffers the same way sometimes. The panic attacks are the worst feeling in the world! Seeing a counselor might help her some but there are good medicines that help also, and your Mom should see about being put on one of them. Sometimes you have to ask for help, even if you wouldn't normally. It is nothing to be ashamed of and we think you are brave for asking for prayers for your Mom. I hope that she starts to feel better soon. Tell her that if she needs someone to listen, our Mom is here. We saw your blog on CMR. You & your Mom are always in our thoughts & we & mom want her to feel better. Depression is hard (mom has it too) & it takes time to find the right med that works too. You will all come through this.
Keep in touch & we want to see all of you playing MHL when the season starts. Mom is very far behind in doing our KA player assignments & sending out game schedule to the team. I am Soooo sorry it has been a while since we came by. Mom has been having some nasty headaches,but nothing to do with her fall off the ladder trying to get Opie-she has had them since she was a young girl. Mom and dad stayed in town most of the day yesterday,then mom's daughter and G-daughter came out. They swam in the pool and grilled chicken,and mom played with little Ava a lot! They didn't leave until bedtime,so mom was to pooped to blog for us! She fell in bed and passed out! Mom is hoping to have a quite and restful Sunday! Good Morning!
Hey friend--- we have been super missing you for visits and practice! Hope all is well. Really hot and humid this week-- not to mom's liking! We have a c/p today about mom's experiences as a cat foster. She has also fostered dogs, but most of them tend to stay, after all the work of training,etc, and time invested in the relationship. One of our friends asked about her experience with fostering and she thought it was good enough to pass on to everyone today. yes, mom fosters regularly for a group she has belonged to for years and is on the board of. She does adopt some out, but is very careful about the homes they go to. Mostly she keeps special needs kitties. You may wonder about Barney's special need. He knew how to beat the system--- after being a super sweet cat, he began growling, hissing and clawing at people looking at him!. Then mom discovered he had dental issues and half his teeth needed pulling. He acted really sick, and was then, and won mom's heart! He also constantly escaped outside, against the rules in our house and made mom chase him down. How could she trust him to anyone else? Hefty came from a close friend, who couldn't keep him and that was his in. Molly was a foster, but went to an eldery friend needing a therapy cat. When she died, mom promised to keep Molly. Andy we discovered has a fairly severe heart murmur. Angel Rosebud was another friend's cat and mom got her when she died. Angel Lacy was a foster, who bit from fear and had been abused. YoYo had been feral and was too scared around other people. Basil was a foster and was Siamese/Tonkanese-- need we say more-- he wormed his way into her heart! Pasha and Aggie were her first pair of Siamese, before she met the rescue group. Pasha was rescued by someone and Aggie was a petshop cat that needed to get out of there! Good Morning!
BB and family! we're finally back! Boy is CC slow this morning! We were in a hurry to tell all our good friends we have a new computer and wireless service set up and it is being slower than anything! We have been starved for visiting our friends almost 3 weeks! Hope to get back in the swing. Mom is off work for the summer and we hope to get a lot more attention. Only one problem-- she is into rearranging furniture and cleaning our house-- help! No fair moving our cat trees without permission! Missed you so much!
