Education: Dante` is the most intelligent cat I've ever owned, he is a cunning mastermind who tricks his younger "brother", Julio, into taking the blame for his rowdy adventures! He's a cuddlebug who loves to give hugs, especially when he knows you're feeling sad. I've taught him to catch and kill household bugs, especially spiders because I'm extremely arachnophobic. Dante's most impressive catch was a wolf spider the size of an old half-dollar coin! (the pic of this monster is in his photo gallery) He's my hero!
My favorite tricks and treats are: Dante` has been a fetcher since the beginning and he even taught his "little brother" how to do it! and He loves Whisker Lickins chicken ~N~ cheese flavor and also loves bits of fresh chicken meat and sometimes yogurt or ice cream.
Where I hang out: Mommy or Daddy's lap, of course! He's also frequently seen hanging out on his perch next to the counter (ready for food!) and the extra large cat-sill next to the window, sunning and watching the birds in the trees.
My favorite grubs: Ugh! I went and spoiled him on those Fancy Feast Elegant Medleys, now he doesn't want his Nutro or Science Diet anymore! His fave flav is Yellowfin Tuna Tuscany and he spins around in circles mewing when he sees it coming!
My pet peeves: Dante` hates it when he wants your attention and you don't give it to him. He will then try anything he can to get you to look at him, pet him or play with him, including digging his claws into your meaty thigh, climbing places he's not supposed to climb and chirping repeatedly, and getting right into your face with his paws on your shoulders. He hates sudden loud or sharp noises, especially the vaccuum cleaner! He also doesn't like going outside at all which I'm actually glad about, and he hates his leash and harness!
What I love about my owners: I know my Mommy loves me from the bottom of her heart, forever, no matter what! I know that she will always take care of my every need, feed me, love me, and even fight for me like she did when my Old Daddy hit me and hurt me, she hit him and hurt him right back! That is love and commitment! That is why I love my Mommy.
My cat hobbies: Dante` loves to cuddle and be petted. He loves to play, both with people and with his "lil brothers" Julio & Murphy. He loves to watch the world outside the windows and also all the various animal cages in the house. "One Mouse to Live" is his favorite "show"! He siezes any oppertunity to explore boxes and high places.

How We Met
It was late at night on October 3rd 2004, I was living in Ohio at the time and my psychotic X-BF and I had a horrible fight that night. He had already gone to bed and I was awake watching TV when I heard mewing at the door. I was accustomed to this because I frequently fed the stray cats in the area, so I went and got a cup of cat food and brought it to the door expecting to find one of the normal everyday crew on the other side but instead when I opened the door, boldly into my apartment steps this tiny pint-sized fluffy baby kittie who then looks up at me and meows loudly as if to say "I'm Home!" I knew he must have wandered there from the trailer park across the street where, sadly, there were countless homeless cats. Still, I checked the apartment complex to see if maybe someone left a door open and lost a kitten at 3am and with my conscious satisfied, decided to add this dashing stranger to my motley crew consisting of 2 older cats, Stimpy and Delphina. He was my noble saviour that night and ever since.

Thanks so much for the visit and vote in answer to your questions. No the only Tonkinese that can have green eyes are the coat colors blue and my color platinum (lilac) all the others have aqua or blue eyes like my big brother Mattie who lives with up. I'm off to give you a vote come by any time.

Thanks for visiting! You look like one super-cool cat. I love your Mommy's story about how you found her, but I'm sorry your Mommy's former human partner wanted to hurt you. My Mommy and Daddy are getting trained pretty well. They do whatever I want whenever I want. Just like a rock star deserves! "RESCUED CAT" Once I was a lonely cat, just looking for a home. I had no place to go, no one to call my own. I wandered up and down the streets, in rain in heat and snow. I ate what ever I could find, I was always on the go. My skin would itch, my feet were sore, my body ached with pain. And no one stopped to give a pat, or gently say my name. I never saw a loving glance, I was always on the run. For people thought that hurting me was really lots of fun. Then one day I heard a voice so gentle, kind and sweet, And arms so soft reached down to me and took me off my feet. "No one again will hurt you," was whispered in my ear. "You'll have a home to call your own where you will know no fear." "You will be dry, you will be warm, you'll have enough to eat," "and rest assured that when you sleep, your dreams will all be sweet." I was afraid I must admit, I've lived so long in fear. I can't remember when I let a human come so near. And as she tended to my wounds, and bathed and brushed my fur. She told me about the rescue group and what it meant to her. She said, "We are a circle, a line that never ends." "And in the center there is you protected by new friends." "And all around you are the ones that check the pounds, and those that share their home after you've been found." "And all the other folk are searching near and far." thanks for the visit. I like your avatar. It does look a lot like me, except I don't do squinty eyes like that, just when I just woke up, but then it's more like sleepy eyes. I like to chase bugs and spiders too, but I don't really know how to kill them. Maybe you can teach me. I do fetch too, even though I'm a bit bored of that game now. I'm the only one in the house who's not totally freaked out by the vacuum cleaner, but I end up following my sisters anyway. I like going outside, but only in the summertime. I didn't like the winter at all, even with my winter coat. My sister Kiki goes outside in any weather with her short coat (she's crazy...). I don't mind my harness, but I'll try to sneak out without it if I can, but mom and dad are on to me now. They know that I can open the screen door if left unlocked and even the patio door if left slightly ajar. I love to play and play-fight with my sisters, but they are not always in the mood for it, so I have to take advantage of it when they are. Just wanted to stop by to say hello & leave you a vote. I just love Fridays!! We haven't been blogging quite as much this week because Mom had severe back pain all week from doing too much yardwork last weekend! It was hard for her to sit at the computer. Mom gave Jewel & I a manicure this morning. As soon as I saw the clippers I ran for cover but Mom was faster than I was & caught me! Gee, it was bad enough that she combed both of us last night! Guess she just wants us to look nice & not have any uncomfortable mats. We're going camping this weekend with Tasha, Mom & Dad.
