Thanks for stopping by kitty friend. I also love squirrel and bird watching. I enjoy bird watching the most. Dad is always putting birdfood in the feeder and all sorts of these birds come and eat there. It;s so fun. Dad gets worried that one day he well find a dead bird on the living room floor. LOL!! Hi Cookie!!
Hi this is Mittens and Mouse. We just wanted to stop by and say hi and introduce ourselves. I am Mittens a Birman kitty about to turn a year old. I am a curius, troublemaking, bunny bouncing, kitty. My dad says that i cause more trouble than a puppy (Which by the way its a baby version of a dog) Whatever is what I always say. If i cause more trouble than a puppy I am atleast more smarter. I mean come on you have to give the cat some props. Cats rule the household even the world at times. Atleast we would like to. You, I, the cats in your neighborhood, the cats i my neighborhood, the cats in shelters, basically all the cats in the whole universe RULE this world!!! Dogs are our slaves, they bow down to us and give us food whenever we please. Now on to Mouse. Mouse is my best friend. She is the newcomer to the family. She has been living with us for a month and a half so far. She is one of those laid back kittens. She is not that curios. All she likes to do really is, eat, sleep on her kitty bed, sunbathe, watch the birds, watch TV, and basically be a regular domestic kitten. You might think that that's a lot. But to me I consider that Boring. I on the other hand enjoy doing these things. eat, stalk birds, play outside, torment the mailman, chase squirrels, scare two year olds, squeeze into small spaces, attack Mouse, Play with Dad's shoelaces, and well theres more.

Mom and dad have a heater in the sunroom,so if it gets TOO cold out for me,I can always go in there and warm my tushie up! Bart says-meet Smudge,AKA-Stump Butt!(We know you already know him!) Today I will introduce you to Smudge. Many of you already know him,as he used to have his own page here on CC.For those of you who don't-he is a Manx,like me,and is solid black-except for a 'smudge' of white on his chest. Mom 1st saw him on Pet-finder one week-end when she was bored,and 'just looking'! HA! One look and she was smitten! Smudge was in a foster home,but up for adoption through Claws & Paws,Inc. here in Marion Co. Ga.,where we live. Dad gave the O.K.,and Smudge joined our family on 7/24/07. He was born on 4/26/07. Smudge was his shelter name,and mom liked it,and as it suits him,kept it. He is an outside/inside cat,per his choice! As you can see from his pictures,he is a handsome fellow who likes to sit on his butt like a human. He is an avid 'talker' and can say 'mama'! He's a toilet tissue,paper towel shredder,cabinet door opener kind of cat! He once helped the inside kitties escape by opening the sun-room door! He is an awesome jumper,and leaps from the roof of the house straight to the ground! Smudge loves one-on-one attention from mom and dad,and has a deep rumbling purr! HOWEVER,he does not liked his butt touched,and will bite the hand that tries!! Mom thinks it is because his tailbone ends up on his back,giving him a 'cowlick'! She hopes this does not give him problems as he gets older. Smudge does not get along with the rest of us kitties,with the exception of Charlie. He especially does not seem to like orange cats,and gave Chester grief when he was alive.This past year,he tore a chunk out of little Opie's nose,which resulted in a vet visit for Opie. They are now kept separate at all times,and Smudge is on Homeopet Anxiety Drops w/TFLN. It seems to be helping with his aggression. Mom says Smudge really should have been an only kitty,as he is happiest when he is alone with us-and Charlie,of course!

Hi Cookie,
I am way behind on my blogging-again! The last few days,dad was busy putting a roof on the cat enclosure and making a winter box bed for my sibs who live out there,complete with a low wattage bulb for heat. He was in a hurry to get it dried in by today,as we are expecting rain,then a very COLD front behind it. Mom swept it out,as there was a ton of leaves in it,and says she has a few more changes to make when the weather is better-like painting and making it pretty! Mom's and their girly junk! She'll probably paint it pink-yuck! Glad I don't live out there!! Hi Beautiful!
Guess what!? I am in the 'dog house' with mom! Seems that I have taken a huge dislike to Opie,that orange cat. I have run him up trees and bit his tail,and the last time...well,I swiped his nose and tore it really bad.Mom had to take him to the vet and have a piece removed...that part in the middle. I really didn't mean to hurt him THAT bad...just a little bad! Now he looks kinda funny with only half a nose! Now mom is talking about getting me some kitty prozac. I sure hope it is a great toy!! She still loves on me,so may-be all is not to bad,huh? What pretty ladies you are ! I'm very happy to meet you ! Thank you so much for stopping by to congratulate my beach ! Once again you have made me very happy and proud to have you all as friends. Actually I am happy and proud to have you as friends EVERY DAY! But today you have made my beach COTD. I thank you all so much ! Today at the beach along with fine food, drink, music and dancing we have a pile of snorkle gear OR floaties with view screens for those who want to see what's down there without getting wet ! was it just a popularity contest? Every time Mom went to vote, you were ahead by at least 30 votes. And as the day went on, your lead got bigger. It was pretty clear that you were going to win! For us, it's had to choose between cats and dogs. We are a "mixed" family--8 cats and 3 dogs. But one of the dogs alone outweighs all of the cats put together! Oh my it is soooo good to hear from you! I have been thinking of you a lot lately! Yup,I still go outside,but mom lets me in whenever I wan,which is mostly when it is cold. Then I am the only one she lets sleep in her room at night,hehe! Mom is worried about me though-she says I am over-grooming my-self. Do you know what she is calling me,of all things!!! Baldy butt!! She says I am licking all my hair off,uh,down THERE! Well,I don't like being dirty! Bird watching,huh? I really love that too! But being outside,you can get up close and personal with 'em---until they fly away! Our Skywalk Adventure has begun ...
What a pleasure to see so many of you waiting to board the planes and head for the Canyon Skywalk. Each of you was promised a window “seat”, and so it shall be, however, the “seats” are actually kitty beds with room for housemates and friends with whom to share this special time. You have settled in and we have been given clearance to head for the departure area. The tower tells us we are “cleared for takeoff” and we lift into the early morning sky. As we turn towards the Canyon, suddenly there are soft cries of delight and then exclamations of joy as our angels join us. These are magic pink planes, after all. The day ahead will be one to hold close to our hearts forever.
We cruise clear skies, enjoying the flight, the companionship, the sense of adventure, and then, at last, we are approaching the Skywalk landing strip after cruising 500 feet above the top of the Grand Canyon walls nearly the full length of that awesome natural wonder. The silence in the cabin was broken only by the clicking of camera shutters as we passed over the area. Some of you were surprised to learn the canyon BOTTOM is at sea level and the area where we will land is actually at 6,000 ft ASL. That’s “above sea level” for you non-pilots. The colors are a veritable artist’s palette; reds of every imaginable shade, golds, blues, even white; each layer tells a story of its own. Eons ago, this area was an unbroken plain in every direction. Rainwater drew pathways through the turf, cutting down until it began to wear away the layers of stone. A river was cut, with tributaries running off every which way. The early morning shadows give the view so much dimension.
We arrive at last. When we touched down, you all scampered out of the plane and onto the see-through Skywalk with such enthusiasm, then slid to a stop to look down, down, down; a mile down. It was pretty impressive, but not a problem for cats, as we love those high places. The sound of little cat feet was all we heard for a time as you moved around the horseshoe-shaped Skywalk, and soaked up the beauty spread before you for as far as even a cat’s eye could see. I could almost hear the memories being stored away in your minds as you took it all in.
After several more hours, we headed back to the planes.
The late afternoon shadows seemed to wave farewell as we departed the area and headed for home. After a light onboard snack, many of you dozed off, having missed your accustomed catnaps. As you dozed, your angels touched you gently with a kiss and a promise of reunion someday. The sun had dropped below the horizon and God’s hand drew the night sky into place, a myriad of stars scattered across it. Our angels rose to join them, adding their light to the glory above. Each one of you was gently returned to your home as we passed it (these are magic planes after all) and may awaken thinking you dreamed it all. But we know better, don’t we? The Grand Canyon trip ...
... will be an amazing one. In addition to doing the new skywalk, we will make some low-and-slow passes over much of the canyon itself. To give you an idea of what the skywalk part of the adventure will be like, here is a URL for you to copy/paste into your browser.

WOW!!! WHAT A SURPRISE!!!
Thank you so much for my second COTD Award. Mom's computer was in for repairs when this happened, so we did not know about it until a few days later ... and then we still had to wait for repairs to be completed. SO ... rather than explain myself further for the delay, I will say THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for this honor. Many who voted for me were already dear friends; the rest of you are about to become dear friends, I hope. The pile of gifts ... toys, treats, and girlie treats ... is so big, we may need to build an addition on the house to hold it all. Mom ate anything that was chocolate, but I'm guarding with tooth and claw everything else. I am so honored by this COTD and I don't know how to thank you other than to say thank you from the bottom of my little kitty heart. You have made me and my Mom so happy and so loved by your caring and well wishes and now COTD. We want to thank Boo Kitty's Mom Jane for the lovely picture frame for the COTD box. I don't even know where to begin! I know Dad has been so touched by all of the love and support shown to him since joining Cat Channel. Now comes my Shocking Cat of The Day Win! I am just so overwhelmed with all of the Concatulations presents and such delicious yummies given to me and the family. I am definately one Lucky Kitten for having such a wonderful loving Dad and now on top such wonderful furriends. Please allow me to continue my celebrating today since Dad says I can still parade around the house since we found out I had been given such an honor so late in the day. Hello Cookie! How are you this evening? Im good! I live with a cat Alice and used to live with my half-sister Pepper, but she had to move away for confidensial reasons... She is really nice. Anyway, I also Live with a dog named Talulah. shes on dogchannel. you can find her easily because she is the only Talulah with one L in the beginning. Me and her do not get along very well though... The siamese cat Luna is my neighbor. Mom made her a page on here because she wanted one and Lunas owner was unable to make an account on cc. Taffy is mom's grandmother's cat. he is nice too but he is very old, so he can be cranky. Mom almost got a new cat, but it was too expensive. mom wants a kitten though so thst it can learn not to compete with the big Bootsie! lol. I am glad you came by and was interested in me and my friends. Left you some catnip cupcakes!

Hey Cookie! My names Bootsie(dont judge until youve seen my paws!) Its quite a story how i got here! My moms brother dared me to look up Dr. Nub as a cat name for the profiles, and of course no one came up because that is not a nice name for a kitty, lol. anyway i looked up nubby cuase i thought that would be a cute name for a cat. two came up. one was a calico and looked a lot like you. I thought he was so cool lookin' that i opened up his profile. i saw he hasnt had comments or votes in a while and i was dissappointed because he was i kitty that looked like he would make a nice friend for me. (I have a lot of girl cat friends not a lot of toms and we toms need to have other tom friends! lol!) anyway then i saw your comment on his page saying that you look just like him! i came rite away! you 2 do look a lot alike! I do not mind that you are a girl though. I am a kitty that is open to getting new friends anyday! she~cat or tom, long or short haired, purrs or grrrrs! Im open to all new kitty furrends! You seem very nice! i hope you come see me soon! Left you some Temptations! I like those too so i had some layin around! Come visit!
