How We Met
Her mother is Leticia who came to our house and unknowingly to us was pregnant. She had Tigger and two males. Our neighbors took the boys and we kept the girls. We were not supposed to have pets in our flat but with the other flat taking the boy cats we all threathen to move out and the landlady let us keep them with an extra deposit.

sure hope ur dad is doing well
daddy is now starting week 4 without working as he paints houses and this weather is holding all that up for now so momma cant afford to get our home puter fixed till he gets back to working and she can only blog for us when at work and she dont want to get in trouble so our blogs will be few till home puter can be fixed.
we have had rain all weekend plus most of last week also and is bad cloudy today with dark clouds so it will probably rain again today.

well we are sure hoping here!!
gma is doing pretty good for now. momma has gotten her out of the bed all the time like she was doing. momma will decide in the next few days if she will come back home for now and go back later when momma really needs her there. gma promises if she does go back home, she wont go back to staying in the bed all the time and will get out and do stuff in the yard and such now that it is getting warmer, will just have to see.
is nice here today but we once again have rain on the way. daddy just dont take momma's place when it comes to pet and care, but he will do for now.

well i am gonna channge from my usual blogs and give u some info on st patricks day and then we are off to ireland to sir pushkin's pawty. momma spent yesterday doing things for and with gma so we didnt get on
okay here we go
The person who was to become St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, was born in Wales about AD 385. His given name was Maewyn, and he almost didn't get the job of bishop of Ireland because he lacked the required scholarship.
The Pagan Saint?
Far from being a saint, until he was 16, he considered himself a pagan. At that age, he was sold into slavery by a group of Irish marauders that raided his village. During his captivity he became a Christian and adopted the name Patrick.
He escaped from slavery after six years and went to Gaul where he studied in the monastery under St. Germain, bishop of Auxerre for a period of twelve years. During his training he got the notion that his calling was to convert the pagans to Christianity.
His wishes were to return to Ireland, to convert the native pagans to Christianity. But his superiors instead appointed St. Palladius. But two years later, Palladius transferred to Scotland. Patrick was then appointed as second bishop to Ireland.
Spreading the "Truth"
Patrick was quite successful at winning converts. And this fact rightfully upset the Celtic Druids, who had their own native religion. Patrick was arrested several times, but escaped each time. He traveled throughout Ireland, establishing monasteries across the country. He also set up schools and churches which would aid him in his indoctrination of the Irish country into Christianity.
His mission in Ireland lasted for thirty years. After that time, Patrick retired to County Down. He died on March 17 in AD 461. That day has been commemorated as St. Patrick's Day ever since.
Maewyn Myths
Much Irish folklore surrounds St. Patrick's Day. Not much of it is actually substantiated.
Some of this lore includes the belief that Patrick raised people from the dead. He also is said to have given a sermon from a hilltop that drove all the snakes from Ireland. Of course, no snakes were ever native to Ireland, and some people think this is a metaphor for the conversion of the pagans. Though originally a Catholic holy day, St. Patrick's Day has evolved into more of a secular holiday.
Symbolism
One traditional icon of the day is the shamrock. And this stems from a more bona fide Irish tale that tells how Patrick used the three-leafed shamrock to explain the Trinity. He used it in his sermons to represent how the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit could all exist as separate elements of the same entity. His followers adopted the custom of wearing a shamrock on his feast day.
The St. Patrick's Day custom came to America in 1737. That was the first year St. Patrick's Day was publicly celebrated in this country, in Boston.

Congratulations on cotd. Even though you have passed as did my Tina and our feral Vicki, you will be remembered here on cat channel. Enjoy all the new friends you will make today. So what is KO KO? I am so proud of how your people stood up to the land lord. I have found that many places do end up allowing cats if the humans are good care givers most cats are just not a problem. I love the photo with you looking up over something with those big green beautiful eyes. I know you are missed and photo's are very comforting. You lived a long life and you got to stay with your mommy just like my Magellan did. His mommy was Tina and she just died last August so he had her for almost 12 years.
