How was your weekend? We had an ok time. Except last night I started scratching. I even had to wear the little black booties for awhile which really made me mad & stressed. I seem to get more stressed at night because Mommy keeps our bedroom door closed and I feel trapped. That makes me upset so I scratch. We are going to try leaving the door open tonight. Mommy has a feeling that she won’t sleep because she will wonder where I am & what I am doing. Mommy needs to sleep the day away like I do! Wish us luck! How are you? I am very alert & walking around today. I slept a lot yesterday. I am still not quite myself yet, although I am eating better. Today is the last day for those awful pills. We just hope & pray they made that nasty UTI go away. Mommy finally stopped trying to put anything around the pills because nothing seemed to help – tuna juice, peanut butter, butter, etc. I go to see Dr. William this Saturday. Thanks so much for your continued prayers & well wishes for me. The outpouring of love for us here on cc has truly amazed Mommy. How are you? I am still not feeling good at all. Right now I am asleep in warm towels fresh from the dryer. So far today, I have only eaten some Pounce treats. I have tee teed & pooped which made Mommy happy. Those pills for the UTI taste so nasty, they make me gag & spit afterwards. Mommy hopes & prays that every day I will feel better, but so far that has not happened. Mommy, Nana, and even PawPaw are very worried about me. Thank you for your prayers & well wishes. They are much appreciated. Proverbs 17:17 says “A friend loves at all times”. This is so true. We feel the love here on cc and we ask for your continued prayers. How are you? I am feeling much better. It will still be several weeks before we know if the thyroxine is working for my Endocrine Alopecia. Thank you so much for your prayers for both me and Mommy. Mommy got good reports from her tests. She has some scarring on her colon from the Crohn’s. Doc did a biopsy of the scar tissue but said it did not look like anything to worry about. We will get the biopsy results later this week. Thanks again for your friendship. Have a mice day. How are you? I am taking my meds like the good boy I am. Today is a very special day for me. Three years ago today is when I came to my wonderful furever home. I was only 6 weeks old and soooooo tiny. What a lucky little fellow I am! Thanks for your prayers & well wishes. I am acting alittle more Casper-like today. How are you? I am not feeling so well. I stayed in the bed after everyone else got up (which is unusual) and I would not eat treats (Mommy tried three different kinds) or my Fancy Feast savory salmon. I barfed a little grass. Mommy took my temp with our digital kitty ear thermometer. My temp was 100.7 which is normal. We think maybe I have another hairball since I seem fine otherwise. Nana is watching me closely while Mommy’s at work. Have a nice day. What’s mew with you? This morning I went to see Dr. Pat for my 3-month Schirmer eye test. My right eye was 24 & left 23, which is very good. Since I have the feline herpes virus & this affects my eyes, I have to take lysine twice a day & have these eye tests. I am a purrfect patient! Have a sweet day. Thank you so much for stopping by to congratulate me on my COTD! I can’t believe that a little over a year ago that I was sitting in the medical unit at a shelter, returned once again because they said I was too much trouble. I didn’t know at that time that my fate would soon change for the better. The shelter decided to feature me as a Special Needs cat on their local telethon and that’s when Mom saw me. She came down to adopt me and I now have that furever home that I’ve been waiting so long for. If that wasn’t enough, I’m now blessed with being a part of the special community here at CC and finding so many good friends. I would like to thank every one of you for your support, friendship, and love. I am truly blessed and wouldn’t have this honor without you. Thank you so much! The party AND the food is at my place! To all the wonderful kitties on CC: Thank you so much for all the votes, COTD, prayers and best wishes. Sorry it’s taken so long to answer all of your blogs. As you know, Lucky has an aggressive form of cancer. Since it’s metastasized to his organs and lungs, chemo was not a good option. He’s on prednisone right now and it has increased his appetite. He’s lost a lot of weight and was only 6.7 lbs on 7/1. The best case scenario is that he’ll be here for another two to four months. Thank you again everyone! Purrs. This very special kitty is celebrating her 21st birthday on Sunday, June 1. Yes, you read right and 21 was not a typo!! Gabriella Esmerelda Doodle of the Green Mountain Gang AKA Gabby has recovered from several illnesses. She is like the energizer bunny and keeps going and going! Gabby still has her girlish figure...and hardly a wrinkle.. and just a very few gray hairs! Gabby was one of 30-40 kittens who began life in a barn. She was rescued along with her brother Angel PK and has been living the life of luxury with the rest of the Green Mountain Gang ever since. Gabby even has a heated bed! It will mean so much for Gabby and her Mom that she earn her badge tomorrow on this very special day, so please take a moment to visit her and click on the mousey vote box Saturday May 31.
