Thank you for pawing by with such sweet ♪Happy Birthday♫ wishes & goodies for us. What an extra-fun weekend we had! We got a Kong Kickeroo catnip toy & a Cataction canvas crab toy from Nana & PawPaw and a Yeoww! catnip apple & sour puss lemon toys from Mommy & Casper Todd. Since we don’t really play with many toys, we also got some Friskies Hairball treats and Pounce soft treats too.
Thanks for sharing our special days with us.

Happy Mother's Day to your sweet Mom. I left this poem on the Mews Page this morning but wanted to share it again in case you didn't see it. I gave the card that had the poem on it in 2003, my 3rd year with my Mom. A MOTHER'S DAY POEM FROM THE CAT Having fun with yarn and string, Leaving fur on everything, Purring when I get a treat, Always landing on my feet, Posing on a windowsill, Staring like I want to kill, Leaping with both skill and grace, Acting like I own the place, Playing with your rolled-up socks, Visiting the litter box, Seeing who I can ignore, Deciding who's the biggest bore, Taking naps on top of you...These are things I love to do!! HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!! Most of it is like the author knew me personally! Mom and I had a good day with lots of purrs and loving and treats, such a perfect day. My Mom has finally been allowed by the chiropractor to start back slowly to her Curves classes and to walk slowly on her treadmill. She started back to Curves but not the treadmill as yet. I use the treadmill as a perch to watch television from MOL. I am still missing my sweet Maggie so very much and appreciate prayers for us and Mom Pat. Mom and I worry about Mom Pat a lot. We had a good Easter too. Thank you for your kind words of condolences they were so helpful. I agree that my Maggie's star shines the brightest. I am so happy that Angel Slinky is with her. Hi Snuffy,
Remember me? It has been such a long time since I meowed. Mom got so busy with Grandma being so sick for so long, then always having to do things for/with Grandma and/or Dad, she got out of the practice of blogging for me. Thanks to my constant begging, I have finally shamed her into contacting all my past friends to see if we can once again pick up where we left off. Mom herself fell a month ago and hurt her sciatica nerve so now the chiropractor tells her that she will have to be really careful to keep it from flaring up at any moment. It has finally started easing off some so that is making her more responsive to my begging..tee hee. I had my yearly Vet appointment this past Wednesday and it went so good. I weigh 10.2 so no diets in my near future, yeah. Plus the Vet could not believe I will be 10 years old in October, he said I look and am in the health of a much younger cat. That made my and Mom's day!! Mom was so happy that she went and bought me treats, yum!!! Since we last communicated I have met in person my lady, Maggie, my friends Ricky, Blackbear and his siblings, Gidget, and Elvis and his siblings. Everyone was so wonderful and I look forward to someday seeing them again!! If I don't hear back from you before Sunday, please have a BLESSED Easter and I hope you get a basketful of treats. How are you today,Going to be another hot day here for us,could have more storms for this evening through tonight,we sure hope not,we have had enough of those right now.Been out for my walk,explored under MY bushes,heard lots of birds singing,spotted a new mousey hole,stuck my nose in there but nothing came out,hehe,shook my paw at Oreo as he streaked by me he sure can run fast.Went to the barn,we can barley get there for all the debris on the ground,but we made it,you should see all the bees on the cherry blossoms of the trees on the ground,they are everywhere,when you walk by they will fly and hit you on the head,I tried to catch one but mom said I don't thinks so Spongie,thats all I need is for you to get stung,ahhh mom I won't.Then went exploring in all my jungle, there sure are some great hidy places in there!I snuck up on Ore and almost got a wack on him ,boy did he run,hehe.Its fun sneaking around under all that,climbing the big trees and exploring,and eating the green grass under there,I'm having a great time in MY kitty jungle,mom said I was king of the jungle,ahhh mom,but is is fun,I sure hope they will leave at least one piece of a tree for me to play on all the time,mom said she did not know until they started the cleanup of it all,ahhh mom a little jungle kitty needs his own tree!I love MY jungle!Now I can climb trees just as fast as Oreo did when they were all standing,hehe!Then mom said time to go in,the wind stared blowing,mom sure does not want us to be out there in that wind with the other trees,so in we came,I growled all the way,ate,made my rounds through the house,but was so tired from exploring in MY jungle I did not even race through the house,I'm laying on MY scratcher tree looking out the window,yippeee,mom said she would open all windows later,love you a very sleepy little jungle kitty Spongie.Hi,Missy,Blossie Buddy on bed,Cindell on counter,Baby sneaked on Spongies cat tunnel sleeping,Muffy in his bed,uh oh Wicket just got on Spongies toy rug and is playing with his squeaky mouse,bet there will be a wacking over that,we are outta her,love you,The Gang.Hi bringing you down a breezy hug on my way to moms,back is still hurty,she just has not been herself much since all the storms,but is taking it day by day,thank you all so much for always thinking of us,Bootsie,Rambo send mr sunny kisses,love you,Angel Gypsy.Spongie here,I'm napping and dreaming of being back out in MY kitty jungle,running,climbing,stalking like a lion on the loose,that can run as fast as a moose,hehe!!Come visit me, Angel Gypsy,RIP My Sweet Angel Baby,I Love You, Angel Buddy,Love,Miss You Sweet Boy, "The Gang",Spongie's Siblings,Love,Miss You Buddy, Angel Rambo,I love and miss you my sweet angel boy, K. Please vote for Terri #100035 April 9 COTD
Terri, my sister, was born 5 years ago April 10. She has been my little companion all this time since we were fostered together and then adopted by our Mom. It hasn’t always been easy for Terri. She began life as a feral kitten, then during foster had respiratory problems. Last year, she had serious gum problems and had all her teeth removed. During her recovery I was running for COTM in April 2010, and really feel I neglected her during the two months through May. Today she is a happy and well little kitty. She even muscles in to MY food dish and finishes what I don’t eat! I let her because I love her. She makes me proud to be her brother by adoption.
Terri is active in MHL on the KA team, playing as a great defensecat. She is also the editor of our Cat Business Directory.
It is with admiration for Terri that I am asking you to give Terri her second COTD on April 10 as a birthday present by pawing a vote for her today April 9. How are you today.10 here for us with 12 inches of snow Mom sure had a hard time trying to sweep off the steps,the snow is frozen to everything.All outside kitties,animals ok,mom was so worried about them all last night.Me,Buddy have been running through the house since 5:30 this morning,mom just shook her head and got out of our way,hehe.Mom took me out for a very short moring walk ,I jumped right in the snow,wheee,this is fun mom,saw some birdies,went to MY bush nothing there,then mom said we have to go back in Spongie,its just to cold out here,ok mom I'm ready,my paws are frozen and the snow is stuck to my butt,hehe.Came in,ate,then mom hit me on the butt with ole mr.broom,that really made me mad and I wacked him a good one,mom laughed at me.Got a new paper bag and have been makig lots of racket, have it all shredded now,then me and Buddy took another race through the house,we were running fast till I jumped on his back and wacked him a good one,then he would not play any more,wonder why,hehe.Then I got scolded for chasing Baby trying to wack her,she got away,well mom I have to keep my paw strong.Then I went racing off again,mom said ok Spongie slow down and I will open the wood front door so you can watch all the birds in the feeder,yaaa,ok mom!That calmed me down,the door was all frosted over and I stuck my nose to it,hehe,now I'm laying on the scratcher resting and staring right at mom,I'm all pooped right now,gotta recharge the ole batteries for another race,hehe,love you,Spongie.Hi,its finally quiet right now wore us out getting out of Spongie,Buddys way this morning,now nap time,Baby got a wack,Buddy got wacked,he is on moms bed now,Blossie on bed,Missy snoring,Muffy in his bed,Wicket in cube,Cindell on counter,love you,The Gang.Hi,bringing you down a snowball hug on my way to moms,she is hurty today after all the snow sweeping,on her heat,Bootsie,Rambo send snow angel kisses,love you,Angel Gypsy.Keeping everyone in the terrible winter weather in our prayers,stay safe,warm.Spongie here,I have been running all morning,putting wacks on The Gangs backs,hehe!!Yaaa,I see mr.sun peeking out,now maybe it will warm up all about!Come visit me, Angel Gypsy,RIP My Sweet Angel Baby,I Love You, Angel Buddy,Love,Miss You Sweet Boy, "The Gang",Spongie's Siblings,Love,Miss You Buddy, Angel Rambo,I love and miss you my sweet angel boy, K. Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day!
On Thanksgiving mom left us for most of the day to visit her pawrents & other family members. There were leftovers, but we're not partial to human food. Been very happy mom's home most of the weekend. Yesterday though, she did do a little "Black Cat Friday" shopping. Wow, those books from the tunnels were like archives. They detailed all the previous kings and queens who inhabited the castle. Super cool. The shortest reign was King Morris. He had only served as king for alittle over a month till it was found out he was enjoying some daily catnip. As I found out earlier,Queen Fluffy had forbidden it's use. King Morris' sister then became queen, Her name was Queen Puff. It was just before the end of her reign that she proclaimed catnip legal in the kingdom once again,Yay! Well, I had a nice light day again today. Queen Gracie, Princess Pouncer, Sir Elmer & I got to do lots more exploring. It would take years to fully investigate this palace and the grounds. WooHoo, it's a kitties dream! Sir Elmer & Pouncer got lost in one of the garden mazes. Good thing they used my micekrispy idea to find their way back. Grace and I found a whole bunch of tunnels down in the basement. It was really creepy with lots of spidey thingies in there.We high tailed it out of there pretty quick,MOL. I ran so fast I almost lost my Indiana Max hat,hehehe. Don't worry about Queen Gracie, I protected her well. can't believe we had to miss our game last night all because of some cable glitch. None of the 3 towers on my street had tv,phones or internet. My friend Sammy lives down the street and he missed his game too! Something needs to be done about these cable monopolies,MOL. I feel better now that I was able to vent,hehehe. Eureka! We found the secret garden! Boy was it worth the wait. It was just down past that nasty cave we found yesterday. It was chock full of catnip,cattails,and pet grass!There's a big fountain in the middle of it with lots of frogs and butterflies about. Just pawsome! We ate our fill of pet grass then I had to head back to the palace. I have a meeting this afternoon, so it's back to work. Well, to get you up to date, yesterdate the Royal Locksmith came and opened that chest I found! OK, are you ready for this? It was chock full of catnip!!! Now, I started to wonder why would a chest be filled to the brim with catnip..hmmm. Well the answer became loud & clear. I found more papers in the old study,and guess what??? It seems that under Queen Fluffy's rule, catnip was banned!!Can you believe it? I'm not sure if this was catnip that was confiscated, or perhaps the Queen's own private stash,MOL. I'll be looking for more papers to see what else I can learn. In the mean time, any kitty who would like some aged catnip, I'll be sending it to the Royal Cat Shop here at the castle. They also have some fine souvenirs of the palace and you can arrange for a guided tour too. Stop by and try some. Got to head out, Indiana Max Jones,MOL, is off on another adventure. It's been a nice and quiet day here at the palace. I had a pawsome time visiting the royal stables. I went for a coach ride through our beautiful countryside. Upon returning, I decided to explore the castle it bit more. You wouldn't believe all the hidden passageways there are here. Boy, a kitty could sure get lost very easily,MOL. I found an old chest in one of the rooms, I think I need to have the royal locksmith come and give me a paw opening it. Hmmm,wonder what's inside? Yesterday, Pouncer was so excited about seeing the giant royal Koi in the pond, she slipped in! The Princess hates water and was very upset. Thank goodness Prince Elmer was there to lend a paw and help her out! I'm happy to report the Koi and fine and so is the Princess. She feasted on a nice seafood lunch,MOL. I thank you all so much for all the wonderful songs, treats,and gifties for my adoptiversary. I didn't think anyone would know! Silly me, you CC kitties know everything going on in the kingdom. I'm sending you all some catnip cookies and micemilk as a thank you for helping me celebrate. I don't know if any of you read the mewsroom on 10/3, But Rhudy & Snuggles' Mom had left a note asking for kitties to please visit her furbabies. Rhudy#124539 is married to Kaycee who has liver failure and is praying very hard for her. The rest of the family,Trace#146140,Tigger #154717,Bandit #125148,Angel Smokey #125145, Chase(Gidget's boyfriend) #154712,& Snuggles,#124534, could sure use a visit from some new friends. It's another cold and rainy day here at the palace. The royal forcasters are calling for warmer weather by the end of the week! Princess Pouncer will be glad, she loves to work on her tan,MOL. Thunder, my pet fish, is having a great time here. He has his own royal guardsman and a personal chef who makes him his beta food! He's in a huge tank here at the castle. It takes him practically all day to swim from one side of the tank to the other! Pouncer was caught trying to sneak into his room this morning,Denied! The guard told her that Thunder was resting,hehehe. She's going to visit the Royal Koi ponds here at the palace. They're huge, not even Pouncer could handle one of those big boys! It's a nice quiet day around the castle. My girl Gracie and I are going for a stroll around the grounds. It's a great day to just take in the sites and familiarize ourselves here at the palace. I have a reception tomorrow with the ambassador from DC, kind of a meet and greet. Prince Elmer will be supervising the catering for our brunch. We're finally getting settled in the palace. It's just amazing. So many rooms,gardens and balconies. The hall of fame is pawsome. The portaits of all the former CC Kings & Queens adorn the walls! Does this ever happen to your Mom? She writes a really long blog, hits the Add Comment button, and then finds out she wrote too much and a lot of it didn't get posted. Mom makes a copy now if she is a chatty-kathy because that has happened to her a few times. Not often, but once in a while! Drives her crazy and puts her way behind with my blogs....

Good Evening Snuffy,
That was so nice of you to see where I live. Yes, we are on the coast, but the Gulf of Mexico is probably about 10 miles from us. We get a nice breeze off the water but also the humidity. It's a plus and minus condition, if you know what I mean!
