**End of WWI in 1918: A day for Reflection**
In 1918, at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, hostilities between the Western Allies and Germany ceased, effectively ending what was until then the bloodiest conflict in human history.
The phrase “at the 11th hour” is biblical (Matthew 20:6 — “And about the eleventh hour) and it is understood to mean “at the very last possible minute.”
After the war, a park was created at the site called the Clairiere de L’Armistice (the Clearing of the Armistice). A concrete pavilion was built to house the rail car, and a statue of Foch was erected along with a plaque that read: “Here on the eleventh of November 1918 succumbed the criminal pride of the German empire ... vanquished by the free peoples which it tried to enslave.”

The number eleven, as the sixth prime number, has a special characteristic in mathematics. It contains some interesting peculiarities where the number eleven multiplied by itself equals a palindrome (remains the same when its digits are reversed):

Kitty Thoughts from Jasmine, Ginseng and Ginger
Hi Chloe's mom, we are so sorry that Chloe left you so young! Don't worry, our big brother Booboo (RIP 8/16/06) will keep her safe and warm now that she is over the Rainbow Bridge, he will even show her how to use her little angel wings so she can fly down to see you and comfort you when you need it the most. Our brother Boo always comes down and visits mommy during her meditation after she does her yoga! Kitty kisses from us.
PS We also had to 'vacuate for Katrina, we went to Lafayette with our mommy and daddy. Our little sister Ginger wasn't even borned then, so we tell her all about that looong car ride. Hope she never has to 'sperience that!Come visit me, BooBoo (in memory of), Ginger, Ginseng & Jasmine.

Hi Chloe, its Maggie. Hope you had a Happy New Year. My Mom and me just cuddled all day. She watched Monk all day long and we sat on the couch.
