How We Met
She was adopted from a county animal shelter. I went there to see cats after one of mine died and I remember thinking she looked a lot like my last cat. I didn't think she'd be there long enough for me to adopt her. They loved her at the shelter and they didn't normally like cats. She'd tease a dog there sometimes.

wow we had some more nasty storms at home last night and it got one of our outlets that has a breaker and all the outlets on one side of the kitchen dont work and momma had to pull the fridge out and run a heavy drop cord to it.
momma also said she saw on the news this morning that a lady in oklahoma foune her two precious kitties after searching the debris for hours. one has a broken leg and the other is just fine. sure did put a big smile on momma's face
momma ordered and inspiron 15.6" with touch screen from dell. sure hope she likes it and it gets here soon so we can get to our hockey games again before playoffs are over.

hi maude
well momma is gettin a bit of a break today at work and we gonna visit a bit. we are having great weather now. it is 81 and real pretty day. momma had a good mother's day as she went down and spent the day with gma.
we have been playing and such just being lazy kitties,
hhmmm, me thinks shaddy be kinda strange. he was laying in momma's lap and she was petting him and he wanted to play a bit, but then he started gettin his own tail now, and was grabbing and biting it and he started quarrelling at himself and even hissed at himself and then jumped down to the floor now is that strange or what!!!!!!!
we have missed our friends, but money got a bit tight with daddy out of work a whole month and momma says she has to get it built back up afore the home puter can be seen too

I am delight that your much deserved COTD brought you and your loving family pleasure.
You aske how I was on TV here in Ireland .... well mum is on a cat club committee and they had a big show coming up, I was not going to it so when the committee got a chance to send a Kitty and human on to a chat show to talk about and advertise the show they thought I might be suitable as I am a quiet kitty and I don't get upset or scared by meeting new people or being in strange places....mum was scared it would upset me but she was so wrong. I loved it and went back the next three years. I am a little vain...but then any cat has a right to be since we are all beautiful.
I love the attention.

You represented us kitties on CC very well on your COTD in the Frame of Fame. We live right on the NY/NJ/PA border in Milford. 5 miles down the road is NY & 7 miles down the road the other way is also NJ. It's quiet here, sometimes too quiet. We love the tuna water, it is actually Chloe's total favorite. She even comes to the word "tuna" as soon as Mom says it. I take pride in making mom laugh daily with my crazy hijinks. I think it's my job MOL. Hope you are enjoying the springtime :)

hhaa talk bout late!!!!!! late is me
daddy is now starting week 4 without working as he paints houses and this weather is holding all that up for now so momma cant afford to get our home puter fixed till he gets back to working and she can only blog for us when at work and she dont want to get in trouble so our blogs will be few till home puter can be fixed.
we have had rain all weekend plus most of last week also and is bad cloudy today with dark clouds so it will probably rain again today.

May 6, 2013--- Guess its about time!
Good Monday Morning! Have a super day! We want to apologize that it has been forever since we did a good round of blogging on CC. Now we are doing a c/p and do have to apologize to you. We are well and have told a few friends that mom is planning a big trip to visit family in Norway this summer. Also, a cousin from Norway will be returning here for a visit after. Mom has to do some painting and work on the house too or arrange for it to be done. Kitty care and a house-sitter is arranged. Doggy care is in the works. Mom got her e-ticket and her Passport came Saturday.
We also feel guilty that K.Barney did promise continued stories time to time and so far we have not! Well, we do have one for today, but will have to keep it short. Not a story mom is too proud of, because she should have listened to Angel Pasha, who you met during our Catpaign. One summer night he bit her arm to wake her out of a sound sleep and then ran to the window. To mom's credit she looked out, but did not see anything, so chased Pasha from their room. He tried to protest and kept running to the window, but mom still did not see anything and did not investigate further. Well, she did lean her lesson----- in the morning she talked to her neighbor and found out he had been gone that night and his house was robbed! Mom felt so guilty that she had not done more, but she was so tired and did not see or hear anything from where she was. She sure learned that cats may have more of a sense when something is wrong than most humans realize. ~Queen Trixie's Final weekend bash~Sun April 28th
Good Morning loyal kitty subjects! Teehee…I’ve wanted to meow that all month but didn’t want to offend anyone so waited until my time was nearly over…MOL! I hope all of you slept well at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge because today we’re going to be visiting DISNEY’S MAGIC KINGDOM to wrap up our final road trip (pics in my gallery). ~Queen Trixie's Final Zoo Trip~ Sat. April 27th
Happy Caturday Maude! You're very welcome for the COTD vote & congrats. I’m sad to meow that this will be our last weekend outing to a zoo. I’ve enjoyed having all of you accompany me & would like to give each of you a musical water globe with a zoo animal inside as a memento of our time together. My Mom lived there as a child, in a place called Belleville just off Lake Ontario. Our Angel Granddad's family for a few generations back was from Elgin County on Lake Erie. It sure was nice to see you again.Yes,my crossing anniversary was the 16th of April.It has been 4 years.Mom still misses me and is glad she has Eddie & Eli to love on.
We were sorry to hear that the job didn't work out and hope the right opportunity comes along soon.
Strawberries are nice! Mom thinks her rose bush died,but will give it time before she replaces it.She loves that rose bush.

Just wanted to paw over and say hi. Mommas' computer is giving her "fits" and she never knows when it's going to freeze on her. She thinks one of the drivers is going. That sure doesn't sound good. It rained here most of this week and we're expecting snow and rain tomorow. Did you get any snow? Momma wishes we were expecting only snow.
Us kitties spent our days squirrel watching this week 'cause we couldn't go outside. Those bushy tailed little critters sure looked like they were having a lot of fun running around our yard. Do you like to squirrel watch?

VOTE WINDY POINT ANGELS # 237234 COTD 4/5
As many of you know, 17 year old Minnie D Purrl crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Tuesday 4/2. Minnie was a member of a wonderful family of cats known as the Windy Point Gang.
We’re choosing to copy Dad Mike’s exact words that he used to tell us she had crossed--
“She was losing her battle with Hyperthyroidism and her quality of life had decreased dramatically over the last five days. This afternoon Minnie was assisted by our vet, Dr Madsen and myself on her journey. She was 17 years old when she passed.
It is particularly sad for me because Minnie had given me a litter of seven Easter Kitties when she was only 9 months old. I always celebrated Mother's Day with her on Easter. (Sigh...) This year we celebrated with some baby food that I held for her since she was too weak to stand and eat.
Minnie leaves behind her boyfriend Tiger Mann, who is the last of the original Windy Pointers...and of course, her sad Dad.”
Minnie is now a member of the Windy Point Angels #237234, those members of the Windy Point Gang who are now Angels at the Rainbow Bridge. We learned that this special group of Angels has never received their COTD badge, and we want to change that by making them our COTD winner on 4/6. Earlier this evening, we shared the very sad news with you that Barb Sussman, Mom to Angel Chloe and Lucy had passed away suddenly on March 1st. Even though they haven’t been very active lately, Angel Chloe is a long time member of CC and was our December 2008 Queen. After Chloe crossed the Rainbow Bridge in January 2011, her Mom Barb decided to adopt a beautiful calico cat named Lucy. Hi, Maude: Your angels are very nice. So glad I met them! At least it hasn't been raining or snowing - just pretty chilly. Isn't it spring? Kaylin and Steve have birthdays four days apart - they are both going to be 3. They are having a pawty at Winston's pizzeria next Saturday night (4/6). If you can come, I'm sure that would make them happy. They haven't decided on the time yet, but Kaylin will probably post in the Mews Room. Yes we have been around awhile, 6 1/2 years. You can get COTD once a year so we have a couple. Everyone has to start somewhere. Belated Concatulations Maude!
I'm so happy for you sweetie! But I am sorry that I missed your big day. Momma hasn't been on the CC much this month. She still has a borrowed computer and isn't happy with it.
Momma heard you got a lot of snow this past week. Momma wishes we had, she's not ready for Winter to end. We did get a couple of inches last Saturday and some snow showers on Thursday but most of the snow is already gone.
Momma is on a jury and the trial started Thursday afternoon. She has to go back on Wednesday 'cause the lawyer people haven't finished with witness testimonies.
My siblings and I are leaving you some cat grass crepes stuffed with Whitefish, baklava with catnip crème filling, a bottle of sparkling catnip wine, and a fancy feather wand in honor of you COTD badge. Enjoy!

Hi, Maude: I let your Angels know that your mom still loves them and misses them, but they said they already know and they miss her, too. We had snow for the first day of spring. Spring isn't comeing here very fast. Mom has me over two weeks behind again. She promised to get me caught up yesterday - then CC crashed! Trying again today. Are you having any spring weather there? We had snow for the first day of spring. Happy St Patrick's Day! A Frosty +7 here!
Good morning friends. Thought we would try to make a round again on CC both of kitties we regularly visit and those new friends and some we don't know yet. Got to make this a c/p. We are still waiting to see if Zeus will have found his forever home. Spring has come and their are all lot more kitties on the streets that need rescue. no-kill rescues fill fast. Kill shelters are not a good option for us kitties anyway. That is why mom keeps doing what she does.
We are all well and healthy. The dogs have their physicals coming up April first--- April Fools dogs! When mom comes to pick you up from the vet, after staying there for Easter, they are not done with you! Shots coming up too, he-he. Think Handy Andy has a rabies shot due the end of April, but the rest of us are later in the summer.
The weather is still ice and snow here, with more snow coming this week--- will it never end? Sorry Barney still hasn't done any more stories, but promise we will work on that. Still have to get more pictures posted of our past kitties on the Inspiration page. Will try to label those too. Mom still has to do taxes and we hope that means a refund coming back-- we hope!

PLS VOTE MILLIE #60253 COTD 3/16
We decided to travel to Ireland to find a fine Irish Kitty to be our St. Patrick’s Day COTD on March 17th! And, lo and behold, we found a family of cats who have been CC members for over five years. Millie #60253 is the Queen of this family. She came to live with her Mom after her Mom’s dog crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Her Mom’s sister brought Millie to her as a gift to help her heal. Millie was joined later by a brother Dinny and a sister Rihanna. She loves to explore the great outdoors and is quite an escape artist. Who could blame her wanting to spend time in the beautiful Irish fields and gardens? Let’s make this a very special St. Patrick’s day for Millie and her family by leaving her a vote on Saturday so she can become our St. Patrick’s Day COTD!
