Thank you very much for voting me COTD! I am almost speechless... but not quite!
Mom says we can have a pawty, but it will have to be early, since she has somewhere to go tonight, and she said she is not having a few dozen cats in the house with no supervision!
Everyone is bringing something! We are gonna have pizza, cupcakes, lasagna, tuna, okay, I am drooling now! We can also play games! We can see who can hang upside down like a squirrel the longest! And mom can tie a string to the ceiling fan for us to watch and get dizzy! I wonder if she will let me bring in some flies for us to chase too...?!
So come on over whenever your ready! The door is always open, and the food is almost done!

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!...
Fist of all I was so happy on my birthday when I got all those sweet "Happy Birthday" letters in my kitty mail box. It really made me so happy. Singing a song of gratitude for you! purrrr...
Then, the morning after my birthday...what did I SEE?!
My oh my, in the COTD window...there was ME!
Mom and I's eyes were so big! I just couldn't believe that everybody did all that for me. It was the best surprise I could have ever got! It's such a great gift, because it wasn't from just one kitty...but from all my sweet CC furiends! The best part of it isn't the shiny gold/blue badge on my page...but that I wasn't forgotten and now I have lots of new friends! You're all so wonderful I'm sending you a BUNCH of fresh catnip and a BIG bag of my special collection of favorite catnip toys. I hope you enjoy them! It means so much to me -well, I'll never be able to explain how much- for everything you did...YOU MADE ME THE HAPPIEST CAT IN THE WORLD! THANK YOU! Every time I see that sparkly blue birthday present on my page...I'll think of YOU...how a furiend was TRUE!
Mom made me a cake with whip cream on top! She's never done that before. It was so good! I got lots of toys and treats and everybody was petting me the whole day. All and all it was the bestest birthday I could have ever had. Mom took loads of pictures of me and the cake. Man, that flash makes my eyes sore! They are all on my page now so I hope you will enjoy seeing them. :) Mickey kept jumping on the couch while mom was trying to get pictures of me. he,he Mom was so frustrated because then Abby (no, I'm not kidding!) SAT ON THE CAKE! It was hysterical. She had cream all over her though so mom had to go into the kitchen to get a towel to wipe her down. And being the good boy that I am (he,he,he) sat perfectly still while I waited for her. She was so proud of me. Well, mom did get some really cute pictures and I had a lot of fun playing with my new toys. Mom shared -although they didn't deserve any- MY treats with Mickey and Abby. Hey, whose birthday is this?!
I hope you've had a really good weekend so far. Thank you again so much for voting for me and giving me the greatest birthday-and COTD!

P.S. Please forgive me for not blogging you until now, I am very sorry. Mom was very busy for a while and then her dog Yukon was extremely sick so we couldn't get on. He is thankfully all better now. Me and mommy….oops, I’m still learning my grammar…I mean, Mommy and I are just soooo excited about being voted COTD.
We did not know that we were in the running for this honor; because we have been too busy getting acquainted and I’ve been too busy training both my mommy and my daddy since I arrived on Friday. Gosh, I didn’t know how much work I would have to do to get them trained. They are definitely a work in progress and I think I’ve got a lot of work for such a little kitty. However, they are so enthusiastic about taking care of me, so I’ll give it my best shot. (That’s what good kitties do, huh?)
Where was I? Oh yeah, I was explaining about my mommy being so naïve about the voting stuff on here. She has always tried to vote for the kitties that leave messages for me and support the ones who ask for votes. And….my mommy loves to look at the kitty pictures and write notes to the ones she thinks are so special. We thought (from what little she read about the voting stuff) that kitties had to be on the Cat Channel for 2 months before they were eligible for such honors. See? I told you she was completely clueless!
However, she is sooooo happy and sooooo excited about my new badge and she wants to thank everyone who helped me get this beautiful badge.
We are going to try to visit everyone who supported me and thank each of you personally. If we miss someone, it is completely unintentional….it’s just because we can’t find the names!
Thanks again, friends. I’ve got to talk to my new mommy about those stupid little cat collars she likes so much. I’m just not a cat collar girl, and she just has to understand that. :)
P.S. The pretty kitty at the bottom of my page is my mommy and daddy's first kitty, Lucy. She was a ragdoll rescue that they had before me. Lucy had cancer and she passed over to the rainbow bridge on August 23, 2009. She was almost 9 years old and was the first and only kitty before I came.
