Welcome To Cat Channel, Beautiful Henrietta
Dear Henrietta's Mom, Thank you for coming by and introducing yourself to my page the other day. Thank you as well for sharing your story about how you came to find her and how she looks so much like your Jordan. What a beautiful story you have! Reading about the nine freckles on Henrietta's right and nine freckles on Jordan's left is so amazing! They are, indeed, a mirror image of one another. Apple and Herman's dadcat was a stray tom cat that I could never adopt, because I had a beloved cat named, KitKit, who despised the cat and would not want any cat sharing his home and my love. So, the only thing I could do was to provide food and shelter for the cat. He would come home to my yard at night to eat and sleep. One day, he went missing for 7 days. Then, he showed up the next day sleeping on my porch. I took his picture and fed him, but he had only eaten so little. Then, he was gone and this time forever. He only tried to come back to me just to say goodbye. His love for me was very strong. Infact, two months after his disappearance, I had a strange dream about him. I saw myself in my bedroom noticing a shadow of a cat behind the curtains. In my dream, I knew instantly that it was him, and I wondered how could I not notice that he has been here all these time in my bedroom. Then, the dream changed and I saw myself running after him. I kept chasing after him and calling him, but he wouldn't stop. I woke up. A week after, my beloved cat and soul mate, KitKit, was diagnosed with cancer. Do you know where KitKit chose to spend his remaining two months after the diagnosis? On top of the shelf by the window where the shadow of the cat was seen on my dream. When my beloved KitKit died on May 16, just a day after, a family of cats (1 stray mom and 5 feral kittens) moved into my backyard. The 4 kittens had the same colors as the stray cat, and one of these cats (Apple) looked so much like the stray tom cat. The *stray cat* I have lost has *came back* to me, and this time I am free to take him. I adopted the whole family. Since the kittens were ferals, I contacted a TNR rescue organization to TNR them. They're all strictly indoor cats, although the momcat is a very good escape artist. Only one that died in the family, and that's the cat who had different color (he was orangy-red & white). Three years and months have passed, one kitten grew up to be still a feral. Two became semi-ferals. Only one who is tamed and had been self-tamed since kitten and that is Apple who mostly has the personality of his dadcat. Just like your Jordan and Henrietta, everytime I look at Apple, I could see his dadcat. Have you thought of adding Jordan here on CC? My beloved KitKit's profile is still incomplete. There are still a lot of pain in my heart and it hurts to write to his page. I am not ready yet to complete his profile and to blog for him. Hope to hear from you again. There are many ways to tell me and my roomie Cuddles apart! Size: I am Cat Kong and Cudds is Cat...Skinniness. Hair: I have long pure jet black hair and the boy is a black American SHORTHAIR with white speckles. The neighbors across the street have two cats : Mary and Francine. Cuddles always gets into fights with Francine but Mary knows to leave him the heck alone! Mary is for sure for sure an american shorthair, just like Cudds, but my girl has never gotten close enough to see if Francine has the trademark tabby M on her forehead!
