Happy 4th of July!
Wow! It's been sooooooo long since Mom let us talk to our friends on Cat Channel. See, she lost her job back in April and she's been hogging up the 'puter looking for a new one. It's nice to have her home of course and she takes naps with us sometimes, but she just won't let us write on CC! Oh and get this! She brought home another cat named Pavlova. This kitty is pretty enough, a Maine Coon like Button and Lola but she likes her territory. Mom put her in (of course) the office where the computer is and she won't let any of us in there. She's one tough cookie! Then there was Clarissa -- a 3 week old who came to live with us for awhile. Mom got out the baby bottles and the KMR and nursed her and pretty much raised her till she was about 8 weeks then Clarissa disappeared. I heard Mom talking to some friends of hers that came to visit and one of them said she wanted to take Clarissa home. One day not long after, Mom got out the dreaded cat carrier (otherwise known in our house as PRISON and a trip to the vet) and put Clarissa in there (poor little thing) and we haven't seen her since. Maybe Mom's friend got her -- I hope so. (Mom: Yes, Clarissa is now living with one of my best friends, her daughter and their cat Snick who LOVES 'rissa.) Mom is hoping to find a job soon but we hope she doesn't. Naps with Mom are THE BEST! Hope you're well. It's great to meet you. You have a brilliant name. You look like you have white socks. I have two very small white socks too but you would hardly see them. My mum was going to call me socks if they were any bigger but it is just a little bit of white on two paws. I see you live in the lovely countryside like I do. You don't live too far from me at all. Dear Socks, We hope this finds everything going well on your end. We apologize for being MIA this past week. Our Mom’s family came up to visit us from Florida. We had a wonderful time. It was so nice to have so many family members in one place. We’ve been walking around the house looking for our Great Auntie. We like to call her Aunt Treat. MOL!
