Education: We love our special friends here on CC. You have given us love and encouragement every time we needed it. Hopefully we gave as much as we received. We tried.

We also tried to come back, to be active on CC but the policing of members' pages by other members; the favoritism shown certain families; the abandonment of COTD campaigns which results in newbies getting badges for no participation; the proliferation of numerous repetitious long blogs every day so that important ones get buried have just taken the enjoyment away for us. And, now for the cmr to campaign for a cat -coco- who did not meet even one of their own criteria and, then to bribe members with gifts after the win? We are stunned and saddened.

Please do not leave any campaign blogs on any of our pages.

Oh, we will continue to blog with extra special friends but on a limited basis. We all refuse to let the negativity come into our REAL lives. A virtual world should create companionship, not dissension.

Mom rescued me along with my 4 sibs from another neighbor's yard. She fostered all of us; adopted out the two Greybabies; kept me, Fonz and Pudds. Fonz has also recently been re-homed. My name is Gaelic for dark or black, like my shiny, velvet black coat.

I am such a love. My favorite thing to do is sleep against Mom's neck. Second favorite is to kiss her smack on the lips! I am even good at inspecting her nose and ears, all in the name of love.

"Mikey's Meow-velous Mothers" - May 21 Today we have two stories of foster “mothers” who are actually male! In fact, our first story features three foster “mothers”. The first is a dog named Huckleberry, who one day managed to find a tiny kitten in his back yard. The tiny creature was less than a week old! Huck knew what to do, and went to his humans for help. His humans brought the tiny little bundle into the house, wrapped in a towel for warmth. He was dehydrated, starving, and had a massive eye infection. This little baby, who became PADDY #99342, was bottle fed by his human Mom (the second foster mother), and once his infections cleared up his older feline brother COPPER #93709 took over the work of teaching Paddy how to play, use the litter box, and just generally be a cat. Another male foster “mother” among our CC members is KOSHKA #108393. One day a young boy was given a tiny kitten that his classmate had found. He couldn’t keep the baby, but his mother knew someone who could help – her friend, Koshka’s Mom. Well, she and the little fluffball, who she named KATYA #108396, took to one another right away but of course Katya had to be kept separated from the older male Koshka until they could be properly introduced. When her new human Mom had to leave Katya alone in her room, Koshka’s ears pricked up at the tiny peeps sounding from behind the closed door. He led his Mom back to the door and pawed at it in concern. When the door was opened, he ran to the kitten and began to snuggle and lick her. Katya and her big brother still like to snuggle to this day! MORE DOGS! The story of Rosie the dog the other day got some kitties reminiscing. LEO #188022 tells us that when he was a tiny kitten the Zoo Crew’s two large canine members, JADA LYNN and LOKJE, also pitched in to help nurture him & his siblings. Lokje would pick up any kitten she felt needed attention and carry it gently to Mom & Dad. And Jada Lynn welcomed cuddles and even clumsy attempts to nurse from Leo when his fur mom was not available. They’re still the best of friends, as you can see by his profile picture. When ANGEL KAYCEE #45862 joined her forever family at 6 weeks old, NIKKI the Chow Chow also stepped into the mothering role. Sweet Copper, the Irish Clan & Mom Aileen, I want to let you know how grateful I am for your words of comfort and the understanding you showed to me during this very difficult time. Losing Yum Yum was like losing a best friend. I saw Yum Yum's star in the sky Monday evening - it was so bright and right over the house. I know Yum Yum is pain free, happy, and having fun every day with her angel friends. It gives me great comfort knowing Kerry was there at St. Francis' feet to welcome Yum Yum into Heaven that night. It is just a matter of time until Yum Yum and I will be together again. I believe the healing process has started for me because I want to share with you what a wonderful kitty Yum Yum was. Every kitty is special to their pawrents. Each one has a personality that just endears them to a human. My Yum Yum was a very special precious little girl. She was a petite little thing who never weighed more than 6.8 lbs. I could pick her up, and she would set her booty on my under forearm and rest her front paws in my palm, and we would walk around the house. Yum always wanted to be where the action was! In Texas, I worked, and like many, had a morning ritual. Yum would be on my lap while I was in the bathroom sitting down, between the shower curtain and liner while I took my shower, and on the vanity while I brushed my teeth, put my makeup on, and combed my hair…every single work morning. Yum Yum had a suppressed immune system. She was diagnosed with LPS when she was 18 months old and had all of her teeth removed except her 4 canines – her personality never changed. When I moved to Florida, she was diagnosed with allergies and had allergy shots every other week since September 2009, and prednisone multiple times a week – her personality never changed. When I would do her blogs on CatChannel at my desk, she would be sleeping in the desk drawer beside me, when I read the newspaper on the couch at night, she was right there in my lap, when I was in the kitchen preparing dinner, she was on the bar watching. At night, when I headed for bed, she trotted right behind me. She slept between my legs until about 6:00a in the morning, and then she would tap me on my shoulder and want to go under the covers to sleep another 1/2 hour. You can just imagine how lonely I am around this house without my precious little girl beside me. But everyday gets a little better because of the support I received from my friends on CatChannel. This blog was deleted from the CMR by the CMR owne Beyond Sad! A while back the Irish Clan left CC because of game-playing and politics but the love of friends brought us back, but only to visit with them, no longer to participate in the COTD mess and for good reason, as is evident in this string of blogs today. Like many of you we have no idea how many votes we have nor do we care. We also blog without voting at times; drop a vote without a blog at times. Friends, this is human/cat nature! Our very special friends, the FF4, are going off line for a while because of accusations and policing, yes, policing of their activity. Anyone who has been on CC for any length of time knows how supportive this loving family has been. They not only blog and vote daily but send supportive messages to everyone when it appears the entire CC family needs encouragement. Who hasn't received their jovial messages on every holiday?!!! Now we are losing them, simply because Great-Grandma and Grandpa were able to get daily mental exercise by looking at the FF4 photos and leaving a vote. These do not create a COTD and are not done maliciously. Just as a reminder, many of you should remember the wonderfully creative catpaign blogs Fuzz sent when the FF4 was a member of the CMR crew. It was truly my Shamrock's pleasure to serve with him on the crew. There is a huge difference between members like the FF4 and those who "borrow" photos, create profiles and get their friends to vote only to disappear when they get COTD. They are NOT active CC members and do not support our community. Perhaps it is up to us, as individual members, to police (that word again) ourselves and if such a fake profile gets a COTD the do NOT congratulate them. Read their profiles, look at their number and activity, judge for yourself and don't whine on the CMR page as it just creates more drama. As long as we do not have daily COTD catpaigns, those with the max number of votes that day are going to get a badge. Perhaps CC/BowTie can change from an automatic COTD and set up something like a COTW then the CMR crew can once again think about running catpaigns. Some of you newer members seem confused about two things: 1. Families with more than one cat profile have only ONE vote, NOT one for each cat in that profile. 2. The CMR is a page created by several original members to organize a crisis that was occurring several years ago with contradicting catpaigns. It is NOT owned by CC but by members just like us, only they have taken this leadership role and done well with many aspects of it. Each night Mom holds the paw of one of us as she says her prayers. Included in those prayers are ones talking about peace on Earth, a better understanding among all religions and all people. It looks like I am going to have to add "peace and understanding on CC, please, God".
