The Boss is in negotiations with the CHEESE HOCKEY LEAGUE. This league consists of famouse and important mice, and they are interested but cautious. Considering the number of mousepucks that get eaten during a game, the CHL commissioner wants reassurances that THEIR hockey players won't get eaten. Seems logical. We hope to have this ironed out by the March schedule.
And speaking of eating Mousepucks, the Commish also received a formal complaint from MOAS (pronounced mouse)-Mousepuck Official Advocacy Syndicate. They think we need to give out fines payable to the OIMP (old & infirmed mousepuck) fund in addition to on ice penalties. I believe the Boss's response was "Give me a break. It's a mouse!" More on that to follow.

Things are looking up! 50% of the top ten teams are now cats, and only 1 is in the bottom of the fish tank. It's been a rough week though. Concussions, upper & lower body injuries (not too mention tail sprains), broken wrist, leg, & foot, bruised feet & egos, some human flu, and the particularly virulent, orange flu. ARE YOU VACCINATED YET? The arena vet office will be open before the next game for your convenience; it's FREE and part of your MHL contract.
Now to the important stuff. League standings.. Rodent Rippers tied for 1st with COL at 18 points. #5-TCLAN-15.....#6 FF-15....#7TIMs-14...#10. OC-13...#13. CC-12...#16. Great job all season team. It has been a real priviledge to serve as your Captain this year. We have had alot of fun and made lots of good friends. You have always been good sports and given me your best on the ice. I thank you. We made it almost to the last round. Great job. Hope your foster kitty is doing much better now. Well Mom did about 1/2 Anderson's COTD thank yous yesterday and since I am back on Tuesday she is catching me up before finishing that. I have bad news. Sorry to disappoint everyone!
Unfortunately the Flames managed to lose on home ice last night. The Blackhawks beat the OC 4-1 and have knocked us out of the playoffs. I want you all to know everyone played great all season and I am very proud of you all. It has been a pleasure serving as your Captain. Orange Crush will be playing the Chicago Blackhawks. It will be best out of seven games. If we win the first four games, we proceed to the next level. These are the MHL dates:

Game Schedule!
The OC will be playing our final February game Saturday the 28th against the Minnesota Wild. Saturday is not a game night so summary will be posted here on this page and at the MHL page. We will not be meeting at the rink. Next week we have four games. Wed 3/4/09 we play the Ottawa Senators and Friday 3/6/09 we play the Gryffinder Lions. These games will be played at the rink. Please try to attend. Also we have games Monday 3/2/09 against the Tampa Bay Lightning and Saturday 3/7/09 against the Carolina Huricanes. These are NOT game nights so only summaries will be posted.
