How We Met

We met at the local PetCo where she has been waiting for awhile for a forever home. I instantly fell in love with her sweet personality and the way she flops her head into my hand for scratches behind the ears. I decided then and there that I was going to be her forever home and no one was going to tell me any different. It took all of 30 seconds to convince my husband that we needed a cat ("Honey, I want a cat. I'm lonely at home by myself when the kids are at school." "A cat? Alright! Go find the one you want and bring her home.") I emailed the rescue group that was listed, sent in my application, had all my references checked, took care of the pet deposit, and finally picked her up. It took her all of ten minuets to decide she liked the place and she hasn't stopped purring since. i'm going to try and keep a running blog about her, so be sure to check it out http://theidiot- cat.blogspot. com/

Hi Bakka, I have a quick request, please keep your paws crossed and say a mighty prayer that Hurricane Gustav will fizzle out or at least will turn more westerly and leave those of us here alone. We live in a flood zone and the way it is predicted right now, it is certain we will get flooded and probably have a lot of wind damage. They are now saying this storm could be the worse in all history. My Mom is really scared as we can't go very far cause she is expected at work Tuesday! Thank you so much for your prayers.
