Hi! My name is Tina - She passed away on 06/06/07

I am an American Shorthair from

Nicknames: Tinalina, Little Lady, Sweetheart

Age: 16 years old

Gender: F

Coat: short haired

Education: Tina would shake hands if you extended yours to her, she loved to kiss me on my nose, I would tell her it's silly pilly time and she came to take her meds

My favorite tricks and treats are: She used to shake hands and She wouldn't eat anything except her special dry food for FIP carriers

Where I hang out: It was in the back of the closet in my home office or on the 2nd from top shelf of the metal rack by the window in my home office

My favorite grubs: Dry food - She had FIP and eats special food

My pet peeves: Tina did not like to be picked up or held

What I love about my owners: My mom would give me lots of hugs and kisses. She was very gentle when she gave me my meds. I loved her and gave her lots of kisses. I know she misses me terribly. I will see her again when she crosses the rainbow bridge.

My cat hobbies: She would lay in front of the pet fountain and stare at the water

Pet motto: Never judge a cat by their looks. I had an eye problem, but my mom loved me for who I was!

How We Met

A former boss that tragicly died was a foster mom for cats and kittens and Tina was one of her fosters. She has herpes in her right eye which required medication and when it was time to take her back to the Humane Society, I was afraid nobody would want to adopt her, so I did.

Hi!~~I wanted You to know that I agree with You, that Minzy/Tina, visits Us, thru subtle changes in Our other cats personalities and behaviors~~~When Miny was a little kitten, she would nestle herself, in between my legs, near my feet~until she felt comfortable, then laid her prettly little head on my foot!~~Minnie, one of my other cats, is now doing this~~and it brings back so many memories of Minzy~~~Mauna Kea, my youngest cat, is now assuming behaviour so very similar to Minzys, and Mossi, my oldest male cat, climbs on My lap, as Minzy always did, whenever I am sitting before my computer~~ So yes, she is manifesting her place in my life, thru her brothers and sisters!~~even thru Fluffy, my oldest female cat, thru her eating habits!~~I lost a male cat,Tommy, in 1998, and had to put him down due to feling leukimia~~~I only had him for such a short time, but He, like Minzy, chose to be with Me~~I wrote a poem for Him, and You can see in on the web site~~PET MEMORIAL.COM~~~I'll email you more information on the web site and Tommys referrence number~~~Thank You so much for sharing your thoughts and feeling with Me~~~it helps a lot in the loss of Our Babies!~~and Yes, They are Our Babies!~~~ps:I have 3 children and 3 grand-children, all grown up and living far away, so my 4legged children are My family!~~God Bless You!!

WHEN GOD MADE CATS: Thought u'd like this
When God made the world, He chose to put animals in it, and decided to give each whatever it wanted. All the animals formed a long line before His throne, and the cat quietly went to the end of the line. To the elephant and the bear He gave strength, to the rabbit and the deer, swiftness; to the owl, the ability to see at night, to the birds and the butterflies, great beauty; to the fox, cunning; to the monkey, intelligence; to the dog, loyalty; to the lion, courage; to the otter, playfulness. And all these were things the animals begged of God. At last he came to the end of the line, and there sat the little cat, waiting patiently. "What will YOU have?" God asked the cat. The cat shrugged modestly. "Oh, whatever scraps you have left over. I don't mind." "But I'm God. I have everything left over." "Then I'll have a little of everything, please." And God gave a great shout of laughter at the cleverness of this small animal, and gave the cat everything she asked for, adding grace and elegance and, only for her, a gentle purr that would always attract humans and assure her a warm and comfortable home. But he took away her false modesty.

Hi Tina
What a pretty baby she is. Torties are my favorite. I wish my cat would take her meds as good as you do. Maybe you could teach her the same trick so that she will take hers as well.

Come visit me, Tara.

Welcome to the club Tina!
We have to say that you are one cool cat and we are going to vote for you tomorrow. Your mom is right that most people wouldn't adopt you because of the eye. It is so hard to get special needs cats adopted. Your pet motto is awesome!

Come visit me, Lucky, Mimi, Bosco, Cleopatra Nefretiri & Louie.
