Yo my owners are away and we're stuck with a cat sitter. but it's not so bad. because it's poke appreciation week. boy thinks it is not fair but he usually gets all the attention but I just want to say one thing. It is quite around here this morning,so I'm hanging out on the dining room table.Mom dosn't like it but we cats do what we want,right?Mom used to have a Siamese like you before she got me-her name was Peewee.She got out of the house and disappeared. Then the little girl and the moon hear all the people shouting and laughing. After everything quiet down, the stars, who were so happy the moon returned, all gave the moon kisses. The little girl climbed down with the moon lighting her way went inside up to her room took one last peek out blowing the moon a big kiss goodnight. (Poem written by Sandy Nobody for Shannon). P.S. Remembering....
Our Mom may be grown up, but she remembers the imaginative little girl in her, who was so fascinated of the Moon. She used to believed that the Moon was a living, magical place, inhabited by good Faeries, Angels, and animals. As Mom has gotten old, not only has she forgotten about the Moon but also forgotten to believe...to imagine...to dream...and to have faith just like the “little girl” with an open heart and soul. A few days ago, her beloved soul mate, KitKit, finally sent down a sign, asking Mom to look for the old poem that Mom cut from Cat Fancy mag. You can read that poem “One Moon’ from Mom’s blog to KitKit. When Mom reread the poem, she not only finally completed KitKit’s profile (after almost 4 months of being undone), but she felt his presence and the happy memories of him returned to her. Tonight, Mom found a poem from the Internet that personally relates to her. She now understood why the “One Moon” poem from years ago continues to ache her heart whenever she reads it. When you read the poem “The Little Girl and The Moon” that Mom found on the Internet today, think of our Mom and her beloved feline soul-mate. KitKit was the light of her life for he was her Little Moon. When KitKit left her life to join the Angel Kitties in the sky, darkness filled Mom’s world. But, Mom was blessed to have the love of two cats: our Angel dad and Angel KitKit, and they sent down little stars to bring back lightness into her life. We are that little earth stars. And, at night, if Mom looks up to the Moon, she’ll be reminded that a heart that is loved never forgets. We hope you enjoy the poem that follows.......... THE LITTLE GIRL AND THE MOON (TITLE)...Once upon a time there was a little girl. She liked to sit outside at night and talk to the moon. Every night she kept the moon company. One night she noticed the moon seemed tired, so she climbed upon the roof, to tell the moon a secret. The old moon smiled, so she reaches up takes the moon in her hands and puts him in her pocket. Then she climbs down and goes into her house, up the stairs to her room. There she takes the moon out and lets lay on her bed. For hours they talked, told secrets and giggled. Then they heard people asking where the moon was. Outside was so dark, they couldnt find their ways. The old moon says to the little girl, "Maybe you should put me back into the sky, so the people can find their way home at night". The little girl agreed. So she picks up the moon, puts him back into her pocket. She walks downstairs and goes outside. It was very dark, but she wasn't afraid, she had her friend the moon to help show her the way. She climbs back upon the roof, takes the moon out of her pocket. Holding him with both hands she tells the moon, “I love you, we will still talk every night, but you must go back give people light at nighttime”. She leans over kisses the moon goodnight.
