Sorry it's taken so long to purr back to you. Mom's had her sister, Julie, here in Florida for 2 weeks so there hasn't been much time to be on CC. Mom and Julie are sisters but also best friends. They had a terrific time enjoying our beautiful Florida beaches and weather, shopping experiences, and tasty cuisine. Julie loves raw oysters, and Mom just has to turn her head away when she's eating them! How can anyone eat those? MOL

Have any plans for Thanksgiving? We have everyone coming down to us this year. We'll have a houseful and it will be fun to share in God's blessings together.

Lady Blue! Dear, dear, dear Lady Blue!!! How splendid to hear from you! It's good to know that you are well! The Bridge is rather a wonderful place; it is always summer and there are good things to eat and lots of fun to be had. We have so many friends here--sadly--some of them were our friends on CC when we lived there on the earth. Our Mom is busy as ever. Spirit and Thistle are still hanging in there and Rhapsody was diagnosed with diabetes in July. She gets insulin twice per day. She is 10 now and the two boys are 11. Mom's gentleman friend adores them and Mom says he is quite infatuated with Rhapsody. Well, she deserves it. She has taken good care of Mom since our going to the Bridge. Oh my dears! You and the Lady Storm have been such wonderful friends! It doesn't matter that we do not meow frequently because when we do, it seems as if the last time was only a moment ago! Thanks ever so much for being such good friends and for such a long time! You were some of our very first CC friends! Do meow when you are in the CC neighbourhood! We send you much love and a sprinkle of angel stardust! Purrs and kissies! Felinity is divinity!

EUGENE, OREGON WEATHER REPORT:
The temperature was high 68 & low was 46 this morning, now it's 65 with humidity 68% & wind is Calm. Sunday's suppose to be AM Clouds/PM Sun☼ & High 64.

We were able to go outside this morning as the sun☼ was shining pretty though the green grass was still wet from the dew. I snuck to the side of the house and mom made me get back in the front yard then Whyskrs 10378 snuck to the end of the driveway watching a birdie and he was made to get back in the front yard, too!!!! Tehehehe!!!! Sassee 10605, Jazpyr 10428 and Bahneetah 10641 was watching a couple of big crows fly. When it was time to go back inside mom called us in and we were all good as we came in without mom having to come get us and we got our Good Life Catnip treats. We all like them very well!!!!

Mom has been working in the yard the last few days with trimming plants, weeding, transplanting and removing half~dead plants. She still have lots more to do.

Thursday, mom baked Peanut Butter~Chocolate Chip Cookies. I laid on the counter supervising her in hopes of a taste, but I never did get a taste. However though, when mom was done and the pans were on the counter I did lick the pan til I got caught so mom turned the pan over and told me it's not good for me. Well, I liked the taste!!!! Tehehehe!!!!

♥ SIR LEO'S 129433 Doggie brother CHARLIE (Miniture Schnauzer) has Pancreatitus and is still in the vet hospital. He is on meds and will have to stay in the vet hospitil til Monday.

♥ K. SPARKY 3436 has Pancreatitus B-12 shot weekly for 6 weeks Then re-test to see if treatment's working & if not then a biopsy of affected organs.

♥ SUNDAY & MONDAY, PRINCESS LEE 4817; CLOVER LEE 9399; PEANUT LEE 118072 & MOMMA JACKIE WILL BE OFFLINE AS THEY ARE FINISHING PACKING UP HOUSEHOLD TODAY AND WILL BE LEAVING ABOUT 1:00 AM MONDAY MORNING TO MOVE TO THEIR NEW HOME IN MOBILE, ALABAMA. THEY WILL BE BACK ONLINE ON TUESDAY. PLEASE PRAY THEY HAVE A SAFE JOURNEY AS IT'S ABOUT A 4 HOUR DRIVE.

EUGENE, OREGON WEATHER REPORT:
The temperature was high 61 & low was 49 this morning, now it's 60 with humidity 72% & wind is 7 MPH. Thursday's suppose to be Mostly Cloudy & High 64.

*RECORD HIGH: 86 in 1940.~*~.RECORD LOW: 25 in 1949*

Mom got awakened at 3:45 this morning by Bahneetah's 10641 meowing and by dad as he was up. Seems he had to take Carly for a potty walk. Mom ended up staying up as she fed all of us inside kitties xcept for Kittzi 160203 and Sylvr Tuff 160205 as they have free feeding all the time. Dad went back to bed for a few hours more of sleep.

No outside time today. It's been cooler and no sun not even a peek.

I did my usual meowing at mom this morning, but she was already sitting on the couch and told me to come up so I did and she held me for awhile til I finally laid beside her on the couch and went to sleep.

Did any of you hear on the World News a couple nights ago about the kitty surviving death not once, not twice, but THREE times???? Her name is Andrea, an unwanted kitty, who was euthanized THREE times and survived it THREE times!!!! What a GIRL and if she could talk human language, she would have the best story to tell!!!!

Last night on the World News was another kitty and his name is Zeus in Boulder, Colorado, who came face to face with a distant cousin ~ A COUGAR!!!! Ok, the cougar was on a patio and Zeus was inside and the patio glass door was closed and separating them.

The temperature was high 70 & low was 37 this morning, now it's 66 with humidity 59% & wind is Calm. Wednesday's suppose to be Mostly Sunny☼ & High 64.

We did go outside this morning. All of us came back inside on our own when mom called us in then we got Good Life Catnip Treats and she said she was very proud of us.

Wow, Saturday 10/15 was my 5 year Adoptiversary and Sunday 10/16/2011 I received my 4th Cat of the Day Badge!!! I owe it all to you who came to my party and even left me votes!!! Thank you so much for this Honor. Mom gave me about six xtra treats on 10/16.

Thank you for helping me celebrate Sunday 10/16/2011 on my COTD!!! I'm delivering another sample of yummies that my family has put together in the take home basket. You will find my purr*sonal favorites of Catnip Candy Bar; Catnip Milk; BBQ Kabob of Mousie, Birdie, Tuna, Shrimp & Chicken and a red Chirpie mousie.

I even got to meet new friends yesterday and it's always nice to get re-acquainted with the old friends I haven't seen, too. Again, Thank You for helping me get my COTD Badge. The temperature was high 46 & low was 28 this morning, now it's 43 feels like 39 with humidity 82% & wind is 7 MPH. Tuesday's suppose to be Rain/Wind & 47.

~♥~ IN MEMORY OF JIM CHANDLER ~♥~
We wanted to do a SPECIAL Catpaign for OLE GRAY 20257 in the Memory & Honor of his human dad, Jim. We called him "Uncle Jim". So many friends to Jim and his beloved babies OLE GRAY 20257; Missy, Taz and Zippy would agree this would be an honor to vote OLE GRAY 20257 for his COTD on 11/30/2010 and receive his Badge on December 1st ~~ ONE year ago in the passing of Jim.

Jim loved so many things like his "Frosty Beverage" or always going to the "Cabinet"; the "Sunshine Gang" had wonderful and funny stories to tell most everyday then "Uncle Jim" decided to call them "As The Rancho Turns".

When Uncle Jim passed away on 12/01/2009, he left behind his four kitties. Mom had contacted his daughter and asked her if she was going to keep them together with her and she told mom she would, but that didn't happen. So many of us CC friends were very upset about that. Mom tried to get an update on all the kitties but Jim's friend hasn't returned mom's email.

OLE GRAY 20257 was a kitty who wondered in and stayed in the garage for some time before deciding to venture into the Rancho home then he decided he liked it so well he stayed. One of OLE GRAY'S 20257 favorite sleeping place was in the middle of the pillows on Uncle Jim's bed.

Please stop by on Tuesday~11/30 to give him a vote. Keep in mind, there will be no return visits by this family.

SASSEE 10605 ~ Mom got her to see Dr. Nancy at 8:45 this morning. Sassee did purr*fect with her ride over there & back home with no fussing nor meowing. She got a Conenia & a Depo-Medrol injection. I'm also to apply Pyoben Gel daily. Dr. Nancy says mom's doing great with cleaning the acne. Mom asked if it could be stress related & Dr. Nancy said yes.

Lady Blue!! Our dear, dear Lady Blue! So good to meow with you! We have been asked to tell you that China sends her regards and there was a little tabby cat as well who seemed to know someone in your family. We are terribly sorry but we didn't get the name... We do hope that this finds you and your Mom in good health! Our Mom plans to get a page up for Rhapsody one of these days so we shall have to let you know on that one. All is well here at the Bridge; it is forever summer and we don't keep time at all. We drink from catnip pools and spend our time sunning on warm flat rocks or gathering stars. Hope everything is going just wonderful for you. Things have been just fine here. November is one of the worst month's here in the Northeast. Getting Cold, Usually Damp & a cat or momcat's body is NOT yet acclimated to the cold. No leaves on trees so all is gray upon gray. Not much else going on here. Looking forward to Thanksgiving. Momcat is going to cook for herself & Bill only (& us of course) but she is breaking with tradition and cooking 2 Cornish Hens for a change. Oh...this is funny! (Disclaimer: Momcat doesn't condone Cat's hunting & killing, but it is part of their nature & it's not her cat.) Bill's cat, the backyard game killer Bandit from Litchfield, CT, caught and killed a grey squirrel yesterday & his nose has the scars to prove it. That's real big game for a cat. He brought it in to Bill into the kitchen to show off, very proud, and sits on it and then proceeds to hid it in the kitchen, where??, but in his cat litter box...2 times. (I know, I would not have litter box in kitchen, but it's not my house!) Bandit was trying to chew on it, but all he could do was stab it with his fangs and he was a frustrated big game hunter who could not ''consume'' his trophy! Bill does let him out in his rural neighborhood and Bandit has become an expert. Wonder what game is next on his dinner list!! Not much else going on here. Lots of sleepy time, sleep, eat, drink, romp and play, then poop, pee, cuddle momcat and then it's bedtime... that's about it! Have a great day & a Great Thanksgiving. Midnight & Lil Grey.

So nice to hear from you. I love the card on this page which shows you both decked out for Christmas. We also only get on CC once a month, so don't feel bad. But, we love to hear from our CC friends, and we do get back to them when we are on the channel. Is it peak color up there? It is here now (perhaps a few days past) but very pretty. With the pretty comes the bad news, it was 28 degrees last night and only 40 at 10am. Winter's coming. Hey Happy Holloween!! We have all been great, healthy & happy. Momcat is working on a project, so she has been pretty busy all October & expects November also. She always makes time for us though. I sleep with her in bed each night. On the pillow near her head, sometimes I try to lay on her head. LOL. Purrs and Vote, Midnight & Lil Grey say HI too.

7935 ~*~QUESTION FOR YOU ALL~*~
The temperature was high 62 & low was 36 this morning, now it's 61 with humidity 54% & wind is 8 MPH. Monday's suppose to be Mostly Sunny & 66.

Well, there was not much happening here today as dad and his nephew left this morning to go gold panning and will be back late tonight. This meant we never got any outside time neither.

Mom cleaned out the big litter box outside as I watched her from the bathroom window. She had Velvet 10732, Sausha 22506, Patch 12767, Sweet Pea 13197, Kittzi 160203, Sylvr Tuff 160205, Sylvester 11567, Sissee 11531 and Aunt Samantha 15442 visit her at different times to make sure mom was cleaning it properly. She then cleaned any in the yard and the hooded litter box on the patio.

Me (Midnight) Lil Grey and momcat have been just fine. Momcat just entered me in the contest in the latest issue of Cat Fancy which is for just black cats. Wish me luck. It's been a hot summer here & we are finely getting some well needed rain. Today is the 1st day mom can remember that it is actually cool out. It's 1:45 and only 71 degrees out. Mom has taken Lil Grey out for many walks on the harness & me, we I just go out in the pink stroller. Some guys are coming over tomorrow to clean our room area rugs so I guess I'll be spending a few hours in sanctuary - under the bed. Not much else happening. Keep in touch. Purrs & head butts. Hi Misty Blue
It's been a real hot summer here. So far 20 days over 90 & that's real unusual for New England. We had a tornado touch down in 4 towns here last week. Damage to property but no loss of life, thank God. Meomy has been taking Lil Grey for walk on the leash when she could before 9am & it get's too hot. Me, I've gone on the purch in the kitty stroller in the shade for 20 minutes. Our flowers seem to really like this hot weather. Mom's car got hit by a hit & run while she was in Walmart or A&P shopping last week. Aggrivating. It's in the shop now & will be covered by our insurance. Not much else going on. Pray for Kitty #18790, for his safe return home. He's been missing for a few days. Purrs & Vote,

7930 ~*~A FEATHER & STRANGE NOISES~*~
The temperature was high 83 & low was about 53 this morning, now it's 81 feels like 79 with humidity 31% & wind is 15 MPH. Saturday's suppose to be Sunny & 80.

Wow, did I ((EBBONNY)) have a blast this morning with running through the house stirring up Pappoose 10366 and Sassee 10605 as Pappoose chasing after me. Sassee wanted to but refrained from it as she knows she's not suppose to pester me cuz she gets mean and bitey. Mom asked me "Who stuck a feather up your butt, Ebby?" MOL!! I told her there was no feather there. MOL!! Mom thought it was so cool that I was feeling so good to be racing around in the house.

We all had another wonderful morning outside. I did try to sneak off again but mom and dad is wise to my maneuvers.

Mom and dad was hearing the most awful noise coming from down the street though. They eventually had us go back inside cuz they had to check out what that horrid screetching-crying like sound was. They went to a house where they thought it was coming from. They thought it might have been a bird fight or a bird in need of medical help. So they knocked on a door and was asking the lady if she was hearing that sound and she shook her head and invited mom and dad inside to show them what it was. It was a 7 year old Cockatoo. Whenever the lady would leave the room he would start screaming and such. You would think he was being tortured. She was bird sitting for her daughter. They had a big laugh and visited with the bird as the bird was loving the attention.

Well, mom finally did what she wanted to do last week. She brought in all the outside kitties' bedding and washed everything up. She then folded it all xcept for the sheepskin type material and put them back in their beds. She put the rest of their bedding up for the Summer. She made sure all the laundry was done, folded and put away, too. Dad is going camping with his nephew again on Saturday and will be back sometime on Sunday.

Dear, dear Lady Blue! Yes, we have been friends for a long time! We have met China since we have come over the rainbow; China is waiting for you! As you may know, we were diagnosed with breast cancer in December and given two months. We had one conservative surgery and managed to live for five months but ultimately lost the battle with the cancer. We went to the Bridge on May 10th at approximately 5 o'clock in the afternoon. Mom was holding us wrapped in our most favourite pink fleece blanket. It was gentle and peaceful crossing. We do come back and visit, of course! We sent Mom a new tortie cat to keep her company and help heal her heart. She was at the shelter where Mom volunteers for more than two years. She is 9 years old, toothless, chubby and wobbles when she walks. She was passed over so many times. We planted the suggestion in Mom's mind and she brought Rhapsody home. It was a very good thing to do for all concerned. Do not grieve for us dear ones for we shall all be together again one day! Until then we shall be watching over you! Sending you our love and a sprinkle of angel stardust! And the same to Lady Storm! Do not forget us dear! Always your friend...Queen Mu **Felinity is divinity!**

THE BASICS: Remember, your cat probably thinks of you as another cat--big, hairless, not very skilled at the things that make for feline excellence, but a cat none the less. Therefore, she tries to communicate with you in the same way as she'd try to communicate with any other member of her own species.

To get on the same wavelength, you've got to let go of your dependance on verbal communication. Of course, your cat has a wide range of vocalizations which we will deal with later, but she uses them in a complex context of body language that endows them with full meaning.

Fortunatly, a cat's body language is mostly hardwired into his genetic makeup. While each cat has his own purrsonality which will color his individual behavior slightly, the basics apply to them all, and that makes feline body language a snap to learn.

Dear Misty,

Hello!!! First, please accept our apologies for this cut & paste and second, for our prolonged absence from daily blogging. Our secretary has finally reached a point where she promises to be more attentive to helping us keep in touch with all our friends. We were so glad to hear from you & sorry that your gums are acting up. We’ve been keeping her very busy. The three of us went to the Dr. Bob three weeks ago for our yearly exam. Lelu did fine other than being extremely traumatized. Amber gained 2 pounds. She’s had a run of serious eye infections, so they did a Herpes eye test on her to see if it's contagious and/or what medication will work best for her. The test came back negative which was great. Mom has to put artificial tears in her eyes to keep them lubricated. My folks were very concerned with me because I’ve been throwing up after I eat. When Dr. Bob touched my throat I started gagging. He said that I wasn’t throwing up my meals but regurgitating the food because of asthma. Dr. Bob did a chest X-ray on me which confirmed the asthma, showed I had the beginning of arthritis [it must be from the Mouse Hockey] and that my heart was enlarged. My folks had to wait over a week for the results of the cardiac workup to come back. The end result was that I have an enlarged heart which they will keep an eye on but I don’t have to do anything else. Mom has emptied the house of Yankee candles, perfume & air fresheners as not to trigger the asthma. Mom is finally calming down. The funny thing is that everyone calls me lover boy because I’m the most affectionate. It must be why God gave me an extra large heart. MOL!

Hi Misty and Storm - It was so good to hear from you! We have our spells when we don't get on CC often, either. We can't believe Storm has been with you for 3 years! You are one of our oldest CC friends, Misty. Mom always said you are the most beautiful cat! Mom has been fostering a lot the past few months. We had a puppy, then a litter of 4 bottle feeder kittens, and last we had a litter of three 5 week old kittens. Mom kept 2 of them - just adopted them on Monday. Selene and I didn't like any of the kittens, none of us liked the puppy, but Alex and Bailey like the new kittens ok. Alex is trying to teach them all of his tricks! Mom said she will only foster young kittens from now on since none of us got too upset over them. I figure, even though I don't like them, if they have to stay in a cage I'm ok with it! Hi Pretty Misty & Storm ♥
How are you this evening? I’m late, because Mom and Dad went to TN today and then they came home and had some things to do here. So….I’m now getting to visit my friends…Hooray!!

I think we have mom's that like their sleep, don't you? Tee Hee

This morning when Mom and Dad got to the house, they turned on the central air and guess what???? Yep…it wouldn’t work. They did as much as they could of the stuff they planned to do, but finally gave up and left…..It was just so hot in the house. However, here’s the nice thing about a small town…Mom’s nephew called the a/c repairman and it’s fixed. They went over this afternoon and fixed it. It was a fan and thankfully, not a big problem.

I was a good security guard while they were gone, although Mom said I was in the same place when they came home, as I was when they left….On their bed. Tee Hee Yep…I stayed up a looong time last night, so I needed my naps today…what can I say?

I just had a big looong playtime with Mom and Dad after dinner and impressed them, once again. They just marvel at how fast I am and how I love to run through my tunnel and chase my toys and laser light….I just love to play…It’s right up there with napping. MOL

Oh my goodness....that is sooo sweet of you...I would love to see a bunny rabbit...Thank you, sooo much!! I hope you have a wonderful evening and I’ll talk with you later.

Happy Summer Misty Blue & Storm!
Dear Misty Blue & Storm! Thanks for stopping by for a visit on CC! We always love to hear from our veteran CC furiends! We haven't been able to meow much this summer as Mom has been too busy. We wanted to stop by and say hi while Mom is giving us a break. Hope you are well and getting along. Are you having gum issues? Tonantzin is having a hard time now with her IBD and allergy issues. She gets bad dandruff and her fluffy fur is not its usual beautiful fluffy state. Mom and Dad brush and help her with it but Vet said not much we can do if she won't switch to wet food. Tonan absolutely refuses wet food. We are thinking she is now having some gum issues too so we are keeping a close eye on her. She continues to be a healthy eater and sweet and social with the family so we do feel badly about her health issues. Vet doesn't recommend giving her any meds until she truly needs them as the meds are very strong and cause other issues. She does seem to be her usual purrsonality despite the health issues. Have a great summer and thanks for keeping in touch with us! Hugs, Fidel & family!
