SPECIAL NOTE: Due to CC being down for maintenance for a few hours tomorrow, we are coming by early with our ANGEL CATPAIGN for FRIDAY 9/26! PLEASE wait until CC is back up and running tomorrow to vote for ANGEL STRUMMER!!..ANGEL STRUMMER #36001 has been waiting patiently for 15 yrs at THE RAINBOW BRIDGE, never complaining or trying to push ahead of any deserving kitty for his badge!! He is the angel brother to MOOSE #30118!! Angel STRUMMER's Mom tells his story-I was working at a local restaurant right after college, living at home agian. One of my co-workers momma cat had just had kittens and she offered me one of them. I said yes and just over six weeks later I went to pick my new kitten up. Her? name at the time was "Screamer" because she? meowed a lot. It was only after a visit to the vet that I found out she was a he. He was such a cute little guy and fit into the household very well. It took me a long time to come up with a name for him, not really liking "Screamer". I finally settled on Strummer, after a member of the band "The Clash" (It was the 80s after all). Strummer grew up to be a big strong tom and he loved to catch birds, especially the Stellers Jays that we have in Washington. From those bird he got Lung Worm, and the drugs they gave him to kill the Lung Worms altered his health and his personality. I had to put my Strummer to sleep after he managed to get diabetes and an incurable urinary tract infection. It's been over 15 years, and I still think of him and I hope he is waiting for me at the Rainbow Bridge... He will light the evening sky and let his loving Mom know he is still waiting at THE RAINBOW BRIDGE!!!
