I was deeply honored to win COTD on 12/18/2009. I was once more honored by King Wolfie by being Knighted Kitty of the Realm and took the title of Sir Tooth. I couldn't believe my good luck when I won Cat Rescue of the Day on March 30, 2011. I am humbled and honored beyond meows when I received the glorious surprise of being nominated for, and winning, COTD for Thanksgiving Day, 11/24/2011. My friends of CC...you are THE BEST!

My favorite tricks and treats are: I can do back flips out of Mom's arms, come when she whistles for me, sit when she tells me to (for a treat) and I came up with my own version of "fetch"...I snatch the sparkly wand toy from Mom, drag it down the basement stairs and if she doesn't follow me, I bring it back up again so that she will play with me some more. I can also open closets and get my own harness down when I want outside. Mom's not to keen on that, though. and Food? Treats? Time to eat? OKAY!
Where I hang out: Anywhere Mom is, but I love being in the gardens too...but I need Mom to be there, too!
My favorite grubs: Food? Is it dinner time???
My pet peeves: Loud, noisy trucks that vibrate the windows AND the vacuum cleaner.
What I love about my owners: Mom and Dad love me even though I have a snaggletooth. That is why I have the nickname of "Tooth".
My cat hobbies: Going outside to play in Mom's gardens in my harness and leash. Mom drags sticks around and I chase and kill them...then drag them off to my "secret" place under the ferns. All I ask is to be allowed outside and have FUN...but keep those nasty snakes and earthworms AWAY from me!

How We Met
I was returned to the Franklin County Humane Society (at Petsmart) because I had an eye infection and my owner didn't want to deal with that. Also, I didn't go with her decorating scheme. What's a decorating scheme? Anyway, I wasn't in the cage long before Mom came up and said she needed an energetic kitten to keep her Tonkinese kitten busy. She held me like a baby and I purred so hard that Mom cried. But Dad was out of town and didn't know that Mom adopted me until he came home. When he found out why I was returned, and that I was scheduled for euthanasia, Dad looked at Mom and said, "WHY on earth would someone put such a sweetheart like this to sleep?" Yep...I got a GOOD home!

Hi Sir Tooth, Mocha, Piper, and Dreamweaver
OK, OK, we know that we haven't pawed most of you for some time. All of us blame Sebastien's momma. Her excuse is that she's been busy house-hunting and get our current home ready to sell. Hmmm... If only she'd let us paw on our own we could keep in touch a lot more often.
Tomorrow (Saturday) is the BIG DAY, the Running of the Roses and Timothy has passes for Churchill Downs Clubhouse. We have enough for all our friends and then some. If you want to come, just let us know and we'll pick you up. It should be a lot of fun. We've heard that the Catnip Mint Juleps are pawtastic. They're almost as good as Exit's Tunitiies. Girls don't forget to wear your fancy hats; Kieara has been trying on hats all day.

Ah buddy....I'm sorry to hear about your g'pa. Momma and I know that it must be really hard on your momma. She's tried to help him so much. Momma's grandma lived in a nursing home for years. It was hard to see her have to be away from her home and family. Momma and Kiearas' momma visited her five or six times a week.
I sure hope that you're safe from all the bad storms down your way. We heard about the tornado in your area and were relieved to hear that it wasn't where you live. We've had rain for most of the week and will get more rain next week maybe even some snow. I haven't gotten out to play 'cause of the rain but have had a lot of nap time.
I blew it again didn't I? It's momma's fault. I feel awful that I missed my BFF's birthday again. What kind of kitty friend am I to do that? Please forgive me buddy. I'm leaving you some mock mice meatballs with cranberry-chardenay sauce, chicken pot pie, a layered tuna cake with fluffy catnip buttercream frosting, a bottle of sparkling catnip wine, and an extra long cat teaser wand with feathers to help celebrate your birthday. Sorry to hear about your Grandpa. We know how stressful that situation is for your Mom. Our great-grandma (Nana's Mom) is 91 years old, has Alzheimer's and has been in the nursing home for 4 1/2 years. It is so sad to see them have to leave their homes when they can no longer take care of themselves. Just know that there are others who know what you are going through. We will keep y'all in our prayers.

Australian Possum
Ridgey Didge Possum Roll
1 possum
5 tbs balsamic vinegar
5 onions
2 cloves garlic
5 carrots
1 stalk celery
2 turnips
3 tomatoes
2 tbs cold pressed olive oil
1 clump italian parsley
1 tbs fresh rosemary
5 bay leaves
3 cloves
2 tbs Vegemite
1 damper (like a hot dog roll)
Note: there is a species of possum which is protected in Australia. They cannot be trapped, shot or hunted. If you run over an Australian possum, and it is still alive, call WIRES, which protects Australia's native fauna.
If it's dead, then this recipe may serve a purpose.
First, skin the possum, checking first for lice, myxomitosis, and living young in the pouch if babies are there and old enough turn them loose in the woods.Separate legs from breast. Discard head, neck, tail and claws. If you wish, hold the offal for thanksgiving stuffing. Then cut the possum into long sringy pieces.
Marinate overnight in vinegar, rosemary, bay leaf, clove, garlic & oil mixture.
Make the roll: split the damper, and spread vegemite on each side. Put aside.
Chop the carrot, turnip and tomato into small pieces, then cook with the rest of the ingredients, and stew in a pot, adding a chicken stock cube for seasoning. Dip the possum pieces in the pot, then barbecue for 20 minutes (or until cooked to personal taste).
To serve: like a hot dog, use the damper & vegemite roll to surround pieces of possum.
Serve with chips, salad and beer.
Cajun Possum Chili
Tomatoe Sauce (depends on possum)
1 tsp.-1 cup Chili Powder (Depends on Taste and possum)
1 Large possum or 3 small
1 large pot or two large ones if the first isn't enough.
5-10 chili peppers (depends on taste and possum)
5-10 red peppers (depends on taste and possum)
5-10 jalapenio peppers (depends on taste and possum)
How ever much Cayenne Pepper you like, it depends on your taste and possum.
1 tsp. Black Pepper
a pinch of salt
Chili Beans for extra flavor
And whatever other ingredients that are hot and spicy you would like to add.
1. Skin possum(s)
2. Remove internal organs, head, claws, and bones. There is no flavor or use for these. But if you want to add them, go ahead.
3. Put some tomatoe sauce in the pot(s). Then add the possum.
4. Chop peppers
5. Skip step four if you don't want chopped peppers; it doesn't matter.
6. Put the rest in and let set for a long dang while.
7. Before serving make sure you have enough bread, Milk, and Toliet paper for after dinner.
8. Serve. Enjoy
9. Race for bathroom. Whoever is first will make a large stench. Have enough air freshner
