Education: Came out of hiding to sit in the window. Next the door is open and he's starting to explore the house- cautiously! Now he thinks he owns the place and tries to tell Brother Barney "Move over!" GAINING CONFIDENCE! Got his COTD 10/08/09! Now he has 2 moms--therein lies a real Tail! Second COTD and first CROTD on 11/8/12.
My favorite tricks and treats are: Disappearing! and Fish! Former human said he didn't eat "people food"-- don't look now, but he's learning!
Where I hang out: On his chair or the back of the couch or sitting in any sunny window. Near mom when she's watching TV or on the computer. Following brother Barney around and engaging in staring contests.
My favorite grubs: Just about anything! So far Fancy Feast seems to be the real treat!
My pet peeves: Other cats and dogs-- he will have to adjust, but voices his opinion!
What I love about my owners: She can keep a secret! She is very patient.
My cat hobbies: He likes sitting on his chair by the window and sleeping on "his spot" on mom's bed, next to the pillow. He likes to play with interactive toys.

How We Met
All we know is mom's friend brought a large carrier in and it was heavy-- and then it was empty when she left. He is Tasha's brother. He was very stressed in his old home, especially when the young dog chased him. Our dogs know to respect the cats, cause Cat's Rule! He is now adjusting to our family, the cats and dogs. He often gives little growls or meows to complain, but he is feeling much more secure. Guess he decided to stay!

one last

It has been a while since we have talked. Your Mom sounds like she is really busy. I know that our humans' schedule is directly related to how often we can blog. Too bad we can't use our own computers! That would be great.
Your Mom shouldn't feel guilty about the night Pasha woke her. She did look out and didn't see anything. But, what a smart kitty Pasha is!

dry weather
continues onwards through till tues/wed when we are supposed to get some rain which is badly needed! got up around or just over 80 yesterday and will do it again to-day and we're all jumping for joy as maybe the house will be likely opened up all the way for the first time this year! cooling back to 60s for sports day here tomorrow and up near 70 on saturday, then 70s again starting on sunday. sandy,ana,haley,angelsCome visit me, ana, haley, malachi is my boyfriend! whiskerscotm & sandy, angels, vote whiskers cotm!.

wanting a wake up call?
we heard the birds starting to sing before 5 yesterday so janet woke up and got out to walk, then blogged with wash and breakfast interruptions till 11, and online till 1 with email/fb, then was in the kitchen the rest of the afternoon and will be somewhat after she's home from work minus the walk she'll be putting the potato salads together and if she remembers to get the meats out before going to work today they'll be thawed out for the cookout tonight. sandy,ana,haley,angelsCome visit me, ana, haley, malachi is my boyfriend! whiskerscotm & sandy, angels, vote whiskers cotm!.

(='.'=) Our Parents Are Back!! (='.'=)
... and we´re sure happy to have them with us.
We missed you too, Heffner!! OMG!! Your Mommy is going to travel to Norway!! That´s soooooo wonderful. That´s our Mom´s dream!! Did we ever told you that she speaks Norwegian and a little bit of Swedish? She fell in love with the Scandinavian culture when she was a teenager.
Is she going to stay in Norway for many days? Has she been there before? I hope you don´t mind Mom asking.
Mom & Dad came back from their short trip to Rosario last night. They had fun and it was a nice break in the middle of the month. Rosario looks pretty much like Buenos Aires, although the river is closer and it´s a little bit smaller. Dad spent Thursday and Friday morning at the cardiology congress while Momma was walking around and visiting the shopping center. She was really glad to find a kitty-woman doll at a huge toys store named "Balloon City". And of course, she bought it. MOL!! Yes, I know, that´s our Mom. Isn´t she a big girl to be visiting toys stores? Anyway...
Mom and Dad left Rosario on Saturday morning and on their way back home they spent one night in San Nicolás de los Arroyos, a lovely small town which is 300km far from home. Our parents wanted to visit the church of Maria del Rosario de San Nicolás. Virgin Mary of San Nicolás is very miraculous and is visited by many, many people everyday coming from all over the country.
Mom prayed for our families and all our friends and also for the homeless animals over the world.
She brought Grandma & Great Grandma a box of alfajores (sweet cookies with dulce de leche) and fresh fruits and vegetables they bought in the farms close to San Nicolás.

I wanted to ask a little favor. Griffin isn't talking to me anymore....and I was just wondering if you could kind of be my backup boyfriend? Just so if Griffin dosen't want to be my boyfriend....I can have a big, handsome cat like you!
I LOVE Griffin...but if he's not going to talk to me anymore, I don't want to be his girlfriend anymore.
I want a cat that will check on me, and maybe ask me to marry him one day.

stopping by with a

Thanks for the birthday and COTD wishes!!!! I had a great birthday yesterday, Mom took me outside to sit in the nice sun, and I had special treats and tuna, overall a great day, sun and napping!!! Purrfect for me!!!! I was so happy I am COTD today, I told Mom I wanted more tuna and to go out with her again, but she said she has to work so ok to tuna, but no to outside (its nice today, but if you can believe it, we are supposed to get a foot of snow tonight and tomorrow ...YUCK) Hope you have a great day!!! VOTE WINDY POINT ANGELS # 237234 COTD 4/5
As many of you know, 17 year old Minnie D Purrl crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Tuesday 4/2. Minnie was a member of a wonderful family of cats known as the Windy Point Gang.
We’re choosing to copy Dad Mike’s exact words that he used to tell us she had crossed--
“She was losing her battle with Hyperthyroidism and her quality of life had decreased dramatically over the last five days. This afternoon Minnie was assisted by our vet, Dr Madsen and myself on her journey. She was 17 years old when she passed.
It is particularly sad for me because Minnie had given me a litter of seven Easter Kitties when she was only 9 months old. I always celebrated Mother's Day with her on Easter. (Sigh...) This year we celebrated with some baby food that I held for her since she was too weak to stand and eat.
Minnie leaves behind her boyfriend Tiger Mann, who is the last of the original Windy Pointers...and of course, her sad Dad.”
Minnie is now a member of the Windy Point Angels #237234, those members of the Windy Point Gang who are now Angels at the Rainbow Bridge. We learned that this special group of Angels has never received their COTD badge, and we want to change that by making them our COTD winner on 4/6. My Mom and I would like to wish you and your family a very happy belated Easter!!
I´m purring load to be back on line. Our parents traveled to the south of Argentina (to the Patagonia) for their vacations and we were off line for a couple of weeks. Mom told us they visited many nice places and some of our most beautiful National Parks too. She was really happy and we were more than glad to have her back home with us. MOL!!
Oh yes! The new Pope is from our country. We´re Catholic and we all know Francis very well. He has always worked for the people in need here in Buenos Aires and we are really glad he is the new Pope of our Church. We pray God to guide him on his new path.
We missed you much. We´re glad to read your Mommy is feeling better, tell her she can take a look at our parents´ pictures from their trip on Facebook. She is welcome to do that anytime!!
We had guests at home yesterday. Mommy cooked lasagna and caramel cream and we, of course, helped her in the kitchen. Mrs. Pucca went to hide under our parents´ bed when the family arrived, but I stayed downstairs with Willow supervising everything and giving whisker kisses to all.
Mr. Bunny brought many chocolates to Mom and Dad and since he is a wise bunny, he brought us kitties two canned salmon. It was soooooo yummy. I like this bunny!

Earlier this evening, we shared the very sad news with you that Barb Sussman, Mom to Angel Chloe and Lucy had passed away suddenly on March 1st. Even though they haven’t been very active lately, Angel Chloe is a long time member of CC and was our December 2008 Queen. After Chloe crossed the Rainbow Bridge in January 2011, her Mom Barb decided to adopt a beautiful calico cat named Lucy. HAPPY FRIDAY AND HAPPY EASTER WEEKEND......
well here we are at the end of another month, and what a horrible month it has been!! WEATHER WISE that is. Mommie especially prayed for the month to be as nice as it was last year but it seemed to have turned right the opposite. Ever since the first of this new year it has either been rainy or as we have had all this month SNOWY!! It has been the coldest too all winter long. Mommie says if any one dares say we are still in a drought here with all of this that she was personally going to FLOG them, and I will help her out on that too!! They even had to cancel her Great Nieces first birthday party which was suppose to have been on the 2nd to the next weekend because it was snowing and cold. Well, St. Patty's day was nice and Mommie wore her green and so did I. Well, here it is the end of the month and today is Mommies PURR-DAY!!! Yeap. She says she is turning back the hands of time and is 15 instead of 51. LOL!! She said she would stop when she reached 55 because then she would only be making herself OLDER!! They are having a big Easter/March birthday bash tomorrow over at her sister-in-laws for every one who has a birthday in march in the family and there are at least 5 or 6 if not more!! Mommie cant wait...more prezzies she said!! Me and Poppie just gave her some money and lots of hugs and love. Poppie grumbles because she bought big curtains for the big bay window but Mommie said that was what she was wanting and needing for so long. She had to cut and hem them up though and sew them together because the bay window is so wide. But she said she was tired of the thin lace curtains and felt like peepers were always looking in. So the ones she got are drapery material and just plain and white but Mommie said it was better that way in case she ever wanted to change the colors, then she wouldnt have to worry about ever buying any new curtains to match. But now she wants a pretty SCARF to drape down over the top of the curtains to give them drama and some bit of color. *SIGH* here we go again Poppie!! LOL!! My human sister is getting her a new bathing suit for the summer because she is getting a giant new pool in her back yard this year and is building a deck around it and all. Mommie said more worries for her and turning grayer headed too about the two Grand kids falling off in it. The older one who is nearly 7 can almost swim but the younger one who is 2, well, Mommie said even the best of swimmers can sometimes manage to make a mistake. lets hope it never happens though. Well, Mommie said time to move along with the day because she has to go to the grocery store to get stuff to make a big meatloaf for tomorrow. Wonder if I get to sample any?? looks like...
janet's gonna start the holiday cooking after she gets in from work tomorrow and combine it with that night's meal to save on time as she'll defrost one of the pasta dishes for sat night. she'll also dye 4 eggs one for each of us, but somebody else will end up with nat's seeing he doesn't like eggs of any kind. the baskets are ready to roll now for easter too as she told nat that it just needed a few more things and he got a few more yesterday and will put them into the baskets the night before or morning in this case thanks to haley who'll likely get into them if put out early. sandy, ana, haley, angelsCome visit me, ana, haley, malachi is my boyfriend! whiskerscotm & sandy, angels, vote whiskers cotm!.

did you know?
that janet posted about her mom's fall last friday on cmr as well as fb? well she found out yesterday it wasn't a strain/pull, but a broken left arm don't know the full ex- tent of it as she's not seeing an orthopedic surgeon till next tuesday. he did praise janet for her quick action for pain killers, and heat/cold packs which he told her to continue those if the pain started bothering her to much as it's up in a sling up against her body for daytime only and out of it at night. janet now is planning the meals through the end of next week and has bought some of the ingredients today, but now can't find the recipes as she had them ina secure spot and now they're gone...likely to show up after the fact when she needed them today. at least she's got some of the ingredients for the other things and will have leftovers as well as soup/salad nights a few more times. sandy, ana, haley, angelsCome visit me, ana, haley, malachi is my boyfriend! whiskerscotm & sandy, angels, vote whiskers cotm!.

Hi Hefty
Today started out to be a nice day for us. Sure, it's terribly cold outside and mom went to the grocery store for a few things, then.....are you ready for this?
Mom went out on the back porch and bough the stroller in so it would be warm for the kitty who was taking a ride in it...can you guess who that kitty was???
I will tell you...it was me and can you guess where mom was taking me?? To the V E T. I fought mom tooth and nail about getting in it, kept trying to put my paws out so she couldn't get me in...eventually she did get me in and off we went and I meowed LOUDLY all the way to vet.
He weighed me and I am 13 1/2 pounds...I lost a 1/2 pound since my last visit and then he clipped my nails, looked in my ears and shined a bright light in my eyes and then he had the nerve to stick a needle in me, can you believe that??
I got back in my stroller and mom bought me back home and now I am laying with Kelsee by the heater where it is nice and warm.
Sure hope your day was better then mine was.

PLS VOTE MILLIE #60253 COTD 3/16
We decided to travel to Ireland to find a fine Irish Kitty to be our St. Patrick’s Day COTD on March 17th! And, lo and behold, we found a family of cats who have been CC members for over five years. Millie #60253 is the Queen of this family. She came to live with her Mom after her Mom’s dog crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Her Mom’s sister brought Millie to her as a gift to help her heal. Millie was joined later by a brother Dinny and a sister Rihanna. She loves to explore the great outdoors and is quite an escape artist. Who could blame her wanting to spend time in the beautiful Irish fields and gardens? Let’s make this a very special St. Patrick’s day for Millie and her family by leaving her a vote on Saturday so she can become our St. Patrick’s Day COTD!

on time this morning thanks to night sweats as well as between sandy and haley meowing to come in or go out she was fed up! we had wall to wall sunshine this weekend to make it the first time in two months we had a nice one with 50s so it really got rid of a lot of the other stuff on the ground in most spots except where it's shady/pro-tected or piled up from being put there. but our yard looks like spring and easter as it's all decorated! sandy, ana, haley, angelsCome visit me, ana, haley, malachi is my boyfriend! whiskerscotm & sandy, angels, vote whiskers cotm!.
