About Me

Active within 277 Days

Hi! My name is T-Kitty

I am a Siamese from syracuse, NY

Nicknames: He was originally named Toby, but since I had a horse named Toby, I renamed him T-Kitty in the likes of P-Diddy.

Age: 6 years old

Gender: M

Coat: short haired

Education: When I'm at the computer, he loves to stand at my side with his front paws on my leg and purr.

My favorite tricks and treats are: No tricks so far. and Some of the Nature's Best dry cat food.

Where I hang out: The warmest corner of the bed.

My favorite grubs: Since Merrick discontinued his favorites, and the other flavors have liver high on the list, Blue Buffalo flaked tuna is not the favorite.

My pet peeves: T-Kitty does not like to be approached quickly. He was timid as a tiny kitten and remains that way today.

What I love about my owners: No matter what, he shows me complete love and affection - even after I do something like ripping open the garbage!

My cat hobbies: He loves to curl up next to me, meow, and have his face and belly rubbed.

Pet motto: P-Diddy has nothing on me!

How We Met

I was working with two others doing Work Zone Traffic Control reviews in Oswego County (NY) and we stopped for lunch at a great diner (Dahl's) just East of Oswego on Rt. 104. When we were checking out, I saw there was a stack of flyers for for the Oswego County Animal Welfare League (OCAWL). I took one, and that evening went on their website and saw pictures of T-Kitty and his brother Cody. I was so impressed that OCAWL is a no-kill organization and was also impressed that they foster kitties in people's homes. I soon went to the foster home of T-Kitty and Cody, and met a wonderful woman named Barbara who had raised T-Kitty and Cody since they arrived at just one month of age after their mother was killed by a car. Normally, I would have been initially hesitant to adopt T-Kitty and his brother as they were living in a beautiful and loving home, but Barbara said they needed to find their forever home and not live in a foster home. T-Kitty was a bit timid when I first arrived, but within a few minutes, he was rubbing against me as I sat on the floor playing with his brother. He is the same way today.

Hi T-Kitty!
Happy to hear you had a nice birthday, and glad you enjoyed the presents. We have that same sudden season change here too. It's been a late, COLD spring, and then 2 days ago summer came. MOL! We went from 30's and 40's overnight and 60's during the day, to 50's overnight and 80's and near 90 during the day! We NEVER have a chance to "get used to" the warm weather, it just HAPPENS! We may cool down some over the weekend though. Mom hopes so, she still has a lo0t she wants to get done in the yard! She's been working like crazy out there, hoping to get most of it done before the real heat hits.

Hope you are enjoying your nice weather! Purrs

Hi T-Kitty!
It's me! Did you miss me? I know, you probably didn't even norice I hadn't been by. S'okay. Hey, mom bought us this really cool scratching thing. I don't even know what it is, it LOOKS sort of like a hammock but it's made from some kind of really tough nylon mesh. Of course, I don't want anything to do with it, but at least a couple of us have scratched at it once or twice. Just to make mom feel good. Haha!

Well, happy Easter to you and your family! I hope you had an eggsellent day! Haha! Little Easter humor there. Mom made big fat pork chops, broccoli spears, seasoned mashed potatoes, and gravy for supper, and chocolate cake, orange jello with mandarin oranges and cherry jello with fruit cocktail for dessert. (She and dad don't like the same jello. MOL!) We're stuffed! Even though all we had was some canned salmon, mom was actually pretty generous. Hope your Easter was a basketful of fun. More Easter humor there. Oh, I crack me up! Hahaa!

Hi T-Kitty!
Well, about the new kitty. It's not OUR kitty - thank goodness, we already have a house full! But it IS wonderful. It's a new kitty on Cat Channel mom met, and was so impressed with her that she intruduced all her CC friends, and THEY were so impressed they all came to visitme to thank me for introducing them!

The "new" kitty's name is Neekah Boo, and her page number is 251057. She's just a tiny thing, even though she's probably about 6 months old by now. She had hurt her back and was being kept confined in her crate to minimize the movement and strain on the injury. She went to the vet yesterday and got good news/bad news. Her back is healing well, but the vet said she has some kind of condition that makes her back muscles spasm. So now she has to get medication for that. Poor kitty.

I am SO excited! The weather was getting warm and so mom hadn't been refilling the newspaper rack, just letting it get empty since we weren't using the fireplace much. But it's suppose to get cold again - it was 28 last night - AND we might get snow tonight! So dad filled up the newspaper rack again. I tried to get in it but mom yelled. I'll wait until she goes to bed......

Funny you should ask about that. We all know the best time to get into mischief - when mom is washing dishes! It takes her a minute to dry her hands off, so we have plenty of time to race off and hide! If she has cookies in the oven she can't really chase us either, because cookies only bake for a few minutes. Cakes and brownies, different story. Especially if we goof and cause trouble right when she puts them in the oven. Then she has LOTS of time to hunt us down!

To be honest though. mom doesn't really get too mad at us. Shredding papers just makes a mess, but doesn't really do anyone any harm. So it's actually all in good fun. For us. I know mom would RATHER we didn't shred the papers, but, well..... they're just sitting there.... Hahhaa! Hope you have a great weekend.

a votey & a BIG purr from PD Budd
We are coOkay. I'll send a mew to Cody . 20# is certainly hefty.
I am not a wide body... except through the middle. I just love doing the dishes. Soon as the other two quit eating I wash their dishes clean.
UBB, not a brother but my fursib from kittenhood, weighed in at 11# when he went to the vet and they all praised him... the jerk. He had just been very ill and lost weight before mom could get him better.
I was a very immature 2 or 3 year old when we got our condo sold and we were drugged, put into official airport carriers and off to NY state from Seattle. I don't remember a lot about it except at the airport we had to be taken out of the carriers so the inspectors could feel around to see if we were carrying weapons or not. What was wrong about it is all the animals, dogs and cats got taken out together. I still remember the smelly dog's breath in my face from the big beast standing next to me.
But I slept all the way after that.
Uncle Buddy (UBB) and I also travelled to and from North Carolina in the back end of our car...also in our official cat carriers. We lived there in the mountains for three years before moving back up to Oxford. We do not live on Gma's farm. She's gone now. We live in the Village where UBB still does a little roaming in the neighborhood... nothing like he did in the mountains. Actually that was ne reason mom wanted to move out of NC. So much wildlife in the mountains-- including bobcats, cougars, bears, hoards of raccoons.
Although mom hates the longs winters here and so does UBB we are living in this house for at least 9 and a half more years... mom says so. UBB just celebrate his 12th birthday so that will make him really old if he (or I) are still alive to tell the tale.
The other member of the family is Gracie Twinkle-toes, my nemesis. It was a daft idea mom had two years ago that UBB and I were getting to be like fat old men and we needed someone to liven things up, give us exercise and so in came this little smart (I mean really smart) polydactyl (26 toed) tuxedo kitten. She took over on the first day and has been working her way up the power grid ever since.
It is a constant struggle to keep my place.
Who is this Seven in you gallery anyway?

Hefty Kitty Alert!
I heard that you are a hefty kitty... that is you weigh a lot?
Now, don't get ll sensitive... when I went to the vet recently they =said I weigh 17 pounds! I have been insulted since then but looking for other kitties who could be a little "hefty."
You and Cody are so cute.
Buddy and I were adopted together too. We live in ventral NY now but we were born and adopted in Seattle.
Well, just stopped by to be hefty with you.

Hi T-Kitty!
Sorry I haven't been by - we got swamped when mom introduced a new kitty to everybody! Then they all stopped by to visit me, too! *whew*

Mom has a big pot of spaghetti sauce on the stove right now - not exactly the traditional St. Patrick's Day fare, but mom's not a big fan of corned beef. She loves cabbage though!

You know what? I actually do have one really bad habit mom hates. We have a big wooden magazine holder that mom uses to keep all the newspapers in for the fireplace. Sometimes I like to get on it and just shred all the papers! It makes mom so mad! Tehee!

It got cold again, so mom is gonna delay the start of her garden again. We knew this would happen. We always have one last late cold spell before spring finally comes to stay. It's okay. It means we will all be able to sit around the fireplace a little longer, while mom bakes something yummy! This gives me a chance to "help" mom with the newspapers for the fire! :)

"May your neighbors respect you,
Trouble neglect you,
The angels protect you,
And heaven accept you."

Happy St. Patrick's Day weekend! I hope you have a good one!

Hi T-Kitty
Mom left Ontario because when you’re 11 you kinda got to go where your parents go. And her parents wanted to go to BC because her Mom’s parents were there. Her Dad’s family have lived in rural southern Ontario for about 200 years. Mom always used to be jealous of the cousins who lived on farms, they said that’s because she didn’t have to do the chores.

Wow, I think even I would want to stay inside if I lived in the country! There are coyotes around here every now & then but if I smell anything I don’t like I just don’t go out. Glad you still get to find a mouse every now & then. Bet your Papa is glad, too. One mouse can turn into LOTS of meeces pretty quick! -- Mallow

Hey T-Kitty
Wow, somehow I missed your blog. Or, I should say, MOM missed it. Good help is so hard to find these days.

I'm SO quiet and laid back, I hardly ever get worked up enough to even play with cardboard boxes - or even newspapers! Actually, in this group, none of us is really too frisky. Believe it or not, the friskiest one is probably Ziggy!

Now, if you want a paper-shredding, box playing, hide and seek maniac, go see Pig! He's a riot! Whenever mom and dad get home from grocery shopping and bring in all the bags, they set them on the kitchen floor. Pig is the first one in there, pawing through every single bag. Who knows what he's looking for? He just likes being in the middle of everything.

Mom doesn't dare leave any newspapers laying around, or Pig will annihilate them! And don't even THINK about leaving the bathroom door open, unless you want to sweep up piles of TP confetti! Pig is a character alright!

Well, it's Napping Day, so I think I'll go celebrate *yawn* Haha! Purrs

Wow! A foot of snow for months?!
Mom used to live in Ontario (just across the big lake from you, in fact) and she says she remembers that. When it melts you find all sorts of things you dropped over the winter and forgot about. I guess you don't really want to know that we heard the sound of a lawn mower this afternoon ... not unless your Papa really, really hates to cut grass.

Mike & Evie are indoor kitties, too, but Mom takes them out on leashes when it's nice. I'm more the free spirit, come and go as you like kind of kitty. Just gotta have a nice fresh mouse every now & then! -- Mallow

you don't wanna know what the weather is like here ... I see where you live ... I KNOW what yours has been like (brrr!). We've had one measly day of snow so far and that was Christmas Day. Lots and lots of rain, but the days it was cold enough to snow, the sky was clear. The crocuses stayed up ALL winter and there was good mouse hunting the whole time, too. Don't hate me too much. Hi T-Kitty
Yeah, I did time in Da Joint, too. Six weeks in kitty jail, seemed like forever! Though I was lucky there, a lot of shelters don't even keep you for six weeks, if you know what I mean (shudder!). I didn't have a foster home, either, you and Cody were really lucky to have that and each other to go through it all with. Sounds like you had a great foster Mom and I'll bet she was so happy when she learned that your future Papa was on the same wavelength about keeping you together. -- Mallow

Okay, mum's the word!
Of course, it's not like P-Diddy (or whoever he is these days) can sing either, and he did okay for himself.

Oh, you have one of those massive brothers, too? Mike is 18 lbs of trouble, while I'm a petite 8 lbs. I am full of attitude, though, and I started training him to respect me when he was a tiny little fluffball that Mom & Dad brought home to torment me with. Boy, am I ever glad I trained him young!

That's great that Cody is your actual real brother, and that you get to stay together your whole lives! Lucky kitties! -- Mallow

Hey T-Kitty!
It's the weekend, and that means m om usually catches up on her blogging. She tries to keep up during the week, but still falls behind.

We have crazy night every night. It usually starts with Pig playing with a squeaky mouse - he gets wild! And then Bonnie will start racing around. I am always happy to lend the pitter patter of my four feet to the mix. Sometimes we really do get out of hand. Paw? I'll admit it, we get wild! Mom will finally holler at us, "Okay, that's e-NUFF!" We're pretty good at quieting back down. For awhile. Then we start up again.

You are RIGHT! We kitties are usually most active at dusk, and pre-dawn. During the middle of the night the most we usually do is use the litter box. But Mr. Sniff must have some bad circuitry, because he gets going at about 2 or 3 a.m. Bug dummy! That's why he has his own "apartment". He has a 2x3 foot porter with a litter box, bed, and food and water bowls, that he gets locked in at night when he gets too rowdy and won't let the rest of us sleep.

Hope you have all had a great weekend! Head bonks.

We make a good combo. You can't dance and I can't sing. Or rather, I DON'T sing. I never make any noise at all. Just the opposite of big-mouth Autumn!

So you can provide the music and I'll do the dancing. I do just great until another kitty crosses my path. Then I get a little punchy! Haha! WHEN are those other kitties gonna figure out I can't see what I'm doing? :)

I LOVE "crazy night"! When is it at your house, I'll invite myself right over! Here, it's almost every night. Especially the ones when Pig and Bonnie and Toby all decide to impersonate a stampede. I myself like to launch off the refrigerator, skid across the kitchen window, bounce off a little table, and slam into the window. I like it. Mom, not so much. But I think it's an improvement over Bonnie doing somersaults over the curtain rods! Whattya think?

Hi T-Kitty!
Oh, you are so right about the teeth thing. One of Little Miss's kittens, Buster, had to have ALL his teeth removed. And he did just fine, at least as far as that was concerned. But he had a bad reaction to the drugs they gave him and developed kidney disease. It's a long story and mom doesn't like to talk about it much. It all made her and dad pretty mad - after the fact.

I do just great with almost no teeth. Mom gets cat food that has really little smooth kibbles, no stars and fish shapes and all that. (What does a cat care what shape the food is??) Just little smooth pebble shapes, and I just swallow them whole. Piece of cake! No artificial colors either. We do pretty good with it.

And guess what? I play and act just like any other cat. I even have a favorite toy I like to carry around in my mouth sometimes, a little soft toy mousie. And I can play rough! Just because I have no teeth doesn't mean there's anything wrong with my claws! Hhaa!!

Good morning, T-Kitty!
We are taking turns answering all your blogs, and today is my turn! No, you can't always believe what you see. Mom can be fairly adept at clouding the issue. I'm the one in the middle. My name is Little Miss. I'm the Mama cat, so mom usually tries to make my picture the largest one, or else the one in the middle. Smokey is the one with the collar, and Molly is the one without.

When we were all first brought into the house, Smokey and Molly were just little kittens and mom and dad had a really hard time telling them apart. So - one got a collar, and one didn't.

There was a third kitten, Buster. But he got really sick and even though mom and dad did their best, and brought him to the vet MANY times, he didn't make it, and passed away from kidney failure. He is on CC page #210737 with some of our other "graduates".

Right now we are having very mild weather, which is nice, and actually unusual for this area of Washington. But then, we've had dry winters for the last 3 years. Mom actually wishes it would rain MORE! We live in an agricultural and viticultural area, and rain and snow melt is very important. Some of our farmers have been hit pretty hard lately, although we did have a record apple harvest!

You take care, and enjoy your day. Hope to hear from you again soon!

Hi T-Kitty
Me? Be offended by your comments?? Hhhahahaaa!! You should see me and my buddy Steve get together. We're worse than Laurel & Hardy! You'll have to follow us around some day. They don't call me "Darn" for nothing! It would have been worse but that was as far as mom wanted to try to get away with on CC!

We get something called Evolve. Mom didn't know it at the time she started feeding it to us but it's the number 7th ranked dry cat food. No junk in it at all, no grain. We love it. Mom also makes us salmon or chicken once or twice a week and mixes it with oat meal and eggs. We love that, too!

It's interesting how we are all starting to be at our optimum weight. Well, all but Bonnie. She's starting to turn into a blob. Can NOT understand why. She IS the only one of us girls who had kittens before she was spayed. Wonder if that has anything to do with it? Well, I probably shouldn't be talking about her behind her back!

Mr. Sniff is the Big McLarge Huge of the family. But he's not fat at all. Just BIG! He can stand on his back legs and put his front paws on mom's chest! He's a really big baby.

Stop by again real soon! I hope you're having a quiet Sunday. Purrs

Sorry to take so long to reply. Mom can be a little slow sometimes. *sigh* Little Miss tells me you are quite the "singer". Is that right? I'm a real vocalizer, too! I make more sounds than a cat should know how! :)

It was a pretty sad story, especially about my poor little brother Summer. Mom tried her best to save him but it was already too late by the time she found him. He was really near death, and mom gave him 5 months he wouldn't have had. And I got a chance to be reunited with him for a few weeks. It still breaks mom's heart, and is very hard for her to talk about. Summer was so brave - like she says, the little guy with the BIG heart. We all miss him.

The vet I went to right after mom brought me home wanted to euthanize me! Can you believe it?? Just because I don't have all my teeth!! Mom and dad said No Way! I've been doing just fine, thank you very much! Mom seems to attract all the "rejects". Me, poor sick little Summer, blind Ziggy, Hot Rod and his asthma. Little Miss had another kitten, too, Buster. But he did develop a serious condition and died from kidney failure. Maybe all we "sickies" just know where to go! Because we all seem to find our way to mom eventually!

Hope you're all having a fine Sunday. Purrs to you all.

Hi T-Kitty!
I just loved hearing from you! So, you're really vocal, huh? Wanna know who the BIG vocalizer is in the family? Autumn! Hands - or paws - down! That cat NEVER shuts up! She makes more noises than you can imagine. Grumbling, muttering, snorting, chuckling, not to mention honking. She doesn't really have a meow, but she has everything else! And she can be LOUD! Her repertoire is huge, and hilarious. Mom has often wondered if maybe SHE is part Siamese. That's the most vocal breed of cat she knows. And Autumn is vocal!

Now, funny, I'm actually usually pretty quiet. Except I make tiny mewing noises when I want to be petted. And I follow mom or dad around like a little lost kitten, waiting for attention. Usually don't have to wait too long, either! Around here, we kitties rule! As it should be, don't you agree? :)

Good morning, T-Kitty!
Bee Gee here. Well, you know how looks can be deceiving? I'm actually a pretty small cat, under 10 pounds. The big slob here is Mr. Sniff, tipping the scales currently at about 22 pounds, DOWN from 24! Mom and dad got us some better food, and we are all getting down to our optimum weight. And no treadmill! Hahaa!

Today is a clear day out here, so I'm gonna go outside and smack a few tennis balls against the garage door. Wanna come over? I have a spare racket you can use. It was only JUST freezing last night, so the slip-n-slide isn't frozen enough to practice my curling. So tennis it is! :) See ya later!

Hi T-Kitty!
Oh yes, I can dance! On my tippy toes! I'm the musical entertainment at the White Whisker Club, too. Keyboard. AND - when my crazy fur family goes on one of their nutty adventures, I'm the designated driver! I hardly ever run over anything important! MOL! Stop by again, maybe I can give you dance lessons! :)

My pal Hot Rod told me about you. We are all actually part of the same family. Long story - short version: mom messed up and made too many profiles to fit on one account, so she made two accounts.

On to more interesting things than mom and her inefficiency! *sheesh* We are all rescue cats, each and every one of us, in various different ways. And since we've adapted to our lives of leisure we have gradually taken over the household. And it has improved immensely since then! I, The Darn, am the doctor of the house. Sissy is the psycho, Pig is the cannibal, Toby is the juvenile delinquent, although he HAS calmed down in the last few years. Mr. Sniff is just Trouble. Bonnie is pretty pretty pretty, and Grabby is referred to variously as the Grabbydactyl, the Grabiraptor, and the Grabinator. As you might guess, she has a few attitude problems, and they all involve food!

Please stop by any time, as we are always involved in various adventures, usually involving getting in trouble. It's okay though. Mom almost never knows what's going on. We try to keep her out of the loop! Which isn't difficult. Hhhhaaa!

Catch you later!

Hi T-Kitty
Oh wow! Thanks for stopping by! I'm was so glad to hear from you! Yup, my mom does her best to catch my asthma attacks before they get bad. I have some pills I can take now, but we still keep that inhaler nearby, just in case.

Just to be fair, it sounds like you have a pretty good family, too. That's cool, all your furblings are gray kitties. Mom loves gray kitties.

I'll send some of the rest of my family over to visit sometime. We have a big one! Happy Thursday night to you! Headbonks
