How We Met
Rex was a Russian Abyssinian/ Aussie cat mix. He was conceived by mistake by two show cats who were not supposed to be bred to one another! OOPS! But lucky for Rex, he turned out to be one of the most beautiful cats ever! With a coat like a deer and spots on his tummy, black feet and gums, a real handsome fella! Mom went over to see the kittens, who were all hiding under the house where they lived . Frustrated, Mom went to use the restroom while the breeders tried to coax out a kitten or two to look at. While in the restroom, a rattling was heard in a partially opened drawer! Mom heard a faint meow and opened the drawer to find Rex playing with a curling iron cord! She picked him up and petted him, but was really wanting a female! She put him on the floor and he followed her around purring and watching her every move. Mom waited patiently for another kitten to be fetched from under the house and Rex decided he would crawl in her coat pocket! That made the decision very easy, and Rex was adopted! He grew to be 22 lbs and was a real ham! Rex lived to be 9 years old. One night he insisted on going out side and would not relent. Mom tried to ignore his howls and then finally gave in. That night Rex was attacked in the back yard and killed by a possum or maybe a big raccoon.

We are so sorry about your Mom's brother.Please give her a hug for us.Mom & Dad spent the weekend looking for Ox our neighbors cat.He disappeared Friday night & Thank God he came home at mid night last night. Mom thinks he might have accidently got locked in someone garge. 5/5/1862: Cinco de Mayo, the 5th of May, celebrates a victory by the Mexican people over the French Army in the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. It honors the memory and bravery of the Mexican soldiers who fought for their country.
"Battle of Puebla": Its victory marks a turning point in Mexican national pride. A small, poorly armed group of about 4,500 men were able to stop the French invasion of a well-equipped European army.
Today we enjoy the colorful festivals, lively fiestas, special dances, decorated piñatas, delicious foods, drinks (Corona, tequila, frozen margaritas), traditional Mariachi music and wear clothes of red and green, the colors of the Mexican flag with our friends from South of the Border.

How horrible for your Mom to lose her brother in that car accident! That is just so sad. We are sending our deepest condolences on her loss and we'll keep her in our purrayers during this most difficult time. Want to go down and sprinkle her with angel dust? We'll go with you and we'll add ours to yours. That should help a little.
You were most welcome for the birthday wishes and don't give being late another thought! My secretary takes days to send out any thank yous and she doesn't have to deal with a personal loss, either.

i am sorry i am so behind, but doodle had momma in panic mode for pulling a josiemae and ramblin and momma hadnt seen her for 3 days so she was in a proper snit and just could not get on.
