What I love about my owners: When McGee and I(Jethro) were only 14 months old we already had 3 home including the rescue lady's house.Now we have a safe furever home Oh and plenty of good food!
My cat hobbies: Sleep with his head on my pillow.

From the cloud desk of Angel Sherman….Please vote ACOTD for ANGEL CRASH #248838! This sweet kitty joined the angels in February 2013 after losing his battle with complications that developed after being hit by a car the month before. He’d survived having both legs broken & surgery, but was unable to walk & had to drag himself to the litterbox. He was very brave & stayed a very sweet boy during all of the pain, infections, examinations & becoming a foster; but the angels knew that his life would not be a full one with his disabilities & thus called him home. Please pounce by to paw ANGEL CRASH #248838 a vote today so that his foster mom will have a fond memory to cherish & so that this sweet angel can earn the honor of making his star the most brilliant in the night sky tomorrow night.
Congratulations to our newest royal cat QUEEN SPUNKY #161265!! Your campaign about the details of cat shows was stupendous & we learned a lot about how things work for the fabulous show cats. We’re looking forward to some California sunshine during May as you reign from your house on the beach & look forward to hearing more letters to God from beloved pets. Have a great time as our new queen & thank you for an enchanting campaign month.

PLEASE VOTE KAYLIN #251700 for COTD MAY 6th
Please paw by & meet this beautiful Champagne Point Tonkinese kitty. KAYLIN #251700 is not just a beautiful face she is also a CFA Champion & a Mom. She was hand picked for her new parents by her sister Wendy's breeder when she found out how sick Wendy was. But this sweet girl was already a mom so her new parents had to wait to bring her home. All of her kitties found their furever homes & then she had her Big Girl surgery. She was finally able to come to her new home in January. She wasn't sure if she wanted to stay at first, but her new parents gave her lots of love & support so we are happy to report she is settling in quite nicely. KAYLIN #215700 spends her days hanging out on Mom & Dads laps, playing with her toys, & napping in the sun. She also likes to tear through the apartment at top speed and has been known to do it in the middle of the night too. Her most favorite things to eat are the Roast Chicken, that she shares with her parents, and her Blue food. She Loves to make new friends so won't you please stop and give KAYLIN #251700 your vote and make a new friend.

Vote COTD 4/29 COLT, WINCHESTER & KIMBER #251320
This week’s special recognition candidates were found on the side of a road near a wooded area when they were barely old enough to fend for themselves. Their guardian angel was working hard that day & led their new mom to the right spot where she picked up the three mewing furballs & took them home. These precious sibs have stolen the hearts of many CC members by mom’s picture postings on FB & it’s pawsome being able to watch them grow up here in our loving community. Colt and Winchester love to talk to calm Kimber down because she’s very shy, unlike her more outgoing sibs. They love to play with their mouse toys & frequently pick on their bigger sibs throughout the day to see how much they can get away with. You can often find this rambunctious trio of young felines looking out of the window talking to birds, or playing with their light up ball. They’re snugglers too! They’re often found in the lap of mom or grandpa or you can see them snuggling happily together in their kitty bed. The inseparable trio of COLT,WINCHESTER & KIMBER#251320, are also keeping the house hopping with their energy level so let’s help them bounce off the walls a little more by pouncing by to paw them a COTD vote today, Monday April 29th, so they can earn their very first badge of honor tomorrow!

Patter (249085) is a beautiful 6 year old tabby, who enjoys her outside time, ( She is quite the hunter) and loves playing with the catnip toys that her mom gets for her. Her boyfriend, Hedley tells us that she has a great sense of humor and is lots of fun.
Patter & her family support the COTD and COTM candidates and they are frequent visitors to kitties in need of comfort and prayers.

Cassandra is a princess around her home. She is pampered and loves attention especially from her human daddy. Cassandra #205806 is dainty and little, weighing in at only six pounds and is the twin to her brother Montgomery George Brown. They were lucky kitties and both were adopted together into their forever home. When the mood strikes her, Cassandra #205806 can hide in the smallest of places and will close the cupboard door behind her leaving it almost impossible to locate her. Cassandra likes hamburgers from Burger King, cheese and hot dogs. She hates being interrupted from her naps and being ignored by her daddy. VOTE WINDY POINT ANGELS # 237234 COTD 4/5
As many of you know, 17 year old Minnie D Purrl crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Tuesday 4/2. Minnie was a member of a wonderful family of cats known as the Windy Point Gang.
We’re choosing to copy Dad Mike’s exact words that he used to tell us she had crossed--
“She was losing her battle with Hyperthyroidism and her quality of life had decreased dramatically over the last five days. This afternoon Minnie was assisted by our vet, Dr Madsen and myself on her journey. She was 17 years old when she passed.
It is particularly sad for me because Minnie had given me a litter of seven Easter Kitties when she was only 9 months old. I always celebrated Mother's Day with her on Easter. (Sigh...) This year we celebrated with some baby food that I held for her since she was too weak to stand and eat.
Minnie leaves behind her boyfriend Tiger Mann, who is the last of the original Windy Pointers...and of course, her sad Dad.”
Minnie is now a member of the Windy Point Angels #237234, those members of the Windy Point Gang who are now Angels at the Rainbow Bridge. We learned that this special group of Angels has never received their COTD badge, and we want to change that by making them our COTD winner on 4/6. Dear CC Furiends! You are cordially invited to come and meet Fang & Drooler #236550 on Monday, April 1st! These precious kitties are so thankful to have a loving family after they were abandoned when their previous owners moved away. Their new family, who are long time loyal members of CC, realized that Fang & Drooler faced an uncertain future because of their advanced age and medical conditions; so they decided to take them in and try to find them another home. Fang & Drooler #236550 have now taken their place among the other rescues in the family! They love to hang out with mom, enjoy spending time in their beds or on the couch, & enjoy playtime outside! They both meow their displeasure with car rides, strangers, vacuums, & trash trucks; Fang, in particular, has an aversion to feathers, preferring to play only with a shoelace! These sweet kitties are also dealing with an Auto Immune disorder: Drooler has had 7 teeth removed as a result; Fang suffers from mouth and paw ulcers, and is not too happy that he has to take medications for the ulcers, insulin to treat Diabetes, stress, & will start meds for Hyperthyroidism. Along with Luvbug, Lil Jag, Buster, Smudge, & Angels Kuce, Sphinx, & Dancing Bear, Fang & Drooler #236550 have been given a chance to live with this wonderful family, who are well known to everyone for the love and compassion they have for homeless and abandoned cats! Fang & Drooler #236550 crave love and attention & will be overjoyed to have furiends come by and visit! We hope you will leave a vote so they can have the honor of winning their very own COTD award!

Earlier this evening, we shared the very sad news with you that Barb Sussman, Mom to Angel Chloe and Lucy had passed away suddenly on March 1st. Even though they haven’t been very active lately, Angel Chloe is a long time member of CC and was our December 2008 Queen. After Chloe crossed the Rainbow Bridge in January 2011, her Mom Barb decided to adopt a beautiful calico cat named Lucy. Lucy has never won a COTD badge and we'd like to award Lucy with a COTD badge on Easter Sunday in honor of her Mom Barb. Neelix is a very handsome seven year old tabby who was rescued along with his brother when he was a tiny kitten abandoned in a parking lot. Since that tiny kitten was adopted by his loving pawrents he has trained them to be excellent staff for himself and his brothers. Regarding his brothers, Hedley and Jakar, the three of them comprise the famous (or perhaps infamous) “pawty animals”. These boys are always the life of any party, they create lots of fun at every MHL Mouse Hockey Game, and they are always the first to lend a paw on any project that benefits the CC community. They’re always there to offer comfort to the sad, good thoughts and healing wishes to the sick and congratulations to those who are celebrating. Neelix and his family always support the COTD and COTM candidates. They are a credit to the CC community!
Neelix is an outstanding member of our CC family, and since both of his brothers already have their very own COTD badges, it seems that it is time for Neelix to have one of his own. Won’t you please drop by and give this handsome guy a vote, on Monday so he can have the badge he so much deserves.

We are please to introduce this week's Special Recognition Candidate, Percy #245206. Percy came to be at her forever home due to the kindness of a neighbor. The neighbor took in Percy's mom cat and once her litter was born, the human daughters at her forever home fell in love with her. Percy #245206 stood out because of her wonderful personality. Percy is a prima donna kitty until it is playtime; then watch out! Percy #245206 loves to play with her sibling, Simba, and she enjoys ambushing him. They have a grand time together playing with their toys and each other. Percy is also a talker. She loves to have a conversation and even comes when her name is called. That is smart since a treat may be involved if your name is being called, and Percy #245206 enjoys Temptation treats. She gets a little upset, though, if she is expecting a treat and she is ignored. Percy #245206 can use her paws like furry hands and manages to open things. Percy likes to sit on the back of the recliner and watch her family as she relaxes and observes what is going on. PLS VOTE MILLIE #60253 COTD 3/16
We decided to travel to Ireland to find a fine Irish Kitty to be our St. Patrick’s Day COTD on March 17th! And, lo and behold, we found a family of cats who have been CC members for over five years. Millie #60253 is the Queen of this family. She came to live with her Mom after her Mom’s dog crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Her Mom’s sister brought Millie to her as a gift to help her heal. ~TRIXIE'S TANTALIZING ANIMAL TALES~ March 1st
Happy March 1st everyone! It’s time to wake up because there’s a calico cyclone pouncing into your homes & my happy twirls & spins will twist you around until you’re dizzy…MOL! Most of you have watched me grow up here on CC after I was brought to my furever home on March 16, 2010. I was a wee little thing then but my catitute was already full grown & I made myself right at home in my new surroundings! And then I started pouncing around CC…MOL! Needless to say I made my catitude known around here too but you accepted me with open paws & loving furiendship that will forever be cherished. Okay…before I get teary eyed I’d better concentrate on my campaign.
To start off my COTM campaign I’m going to tell you about some of the world’s smallest animals. Please watch where you’re pouncing today & don’t swish your tails too hard so we don’t hurt any while we’re looking at them! We’ll start off with…the WORLD’S SMALLEST DOG IN TERMS OF HEIGHT: the smallest living dog is Boo Boo, a long-haired female Chihuahua who proves that good things come in small packages. Boo Boo is just 4 inches tall and weighs in at a mere 2 pounds. She lives in Raceland, Ky., with her owner. WOW…only 4 inches tall means she could be mistaken for a rodent if a cat has bad eyesight…MOL! The next dog on our visit today would have the same problem so please keep your claws retracted kitties or we could have a lawsuit on our paws! The WORLD’S SMALLEST DOG IN TERMS OF LENGTH: The smallest dog in terms of length is Heaven Sent Brandy, a female Chihuahua who measured 15.2 cm (6 in) from the nose to the tip of the tail on 31 January 2005. Brandy lives with her owner in Largo, Florida. Now we’ll move on to some petite pooches that deserve our respect for their abilities! WORLD’S SMALLEST WORKING DOG isTiny Lucy! Meet 6-inch, 2.5-pound Lucy from New Jersey who Guinness recently named the world's shortest working dog. Besides being incredibly cute and tiny, this Yorkshire terrier is also a therapy dog.
Since we started with dogs today it’s only fair for us to end with our own species…MOL! Now we move on to…the WORLD’S SMALLEST CAT: Mr Peebles, a 2 year old domestic cat of Central Illinois holds the Guinness Book of World Records award for the smallest living cat (his small stature is due to a genetic defect). Weighing in around 3lbs he is 6.1 inches high this is definitely the smallest cat I’ve ever seen! Mr. Peebles also has his own Facebook page so pounce over to check it out.
And so my first day of campaign chaos ends & the tiny dogs & cats can go back to napping. Since tomorrow is Caturday we’ll be taking off to visit a zoo someplace in the world so plan to be at the community airport early to get a good seat on one of our planes, & don’t forget to bring along your camera. Storm Frost is a beautiful little Tabby kitten who is the sister of Julius Steven, a friend to many of us. Like her brother she is a caring member of our CC family and can often be seen visiting sick kitties, comforting sad kitties and their families and of course supporting the COTD and COTM candidates.
When Storm Frost was born, To Sparkle Frost, another kitty in the family, Storm Waters, had just miscarried her litter of kittens. Storm Frost and her sister Baby Frost were sort of adopted by Storm Waters and she nursed them cleaned them and taught them what they needed to know to be good kitties. Their birth mother, Sparkle Frost has since been adopted out to a good home, but they are still being loved and groomed by the sweet kitty who adopted them Storm Waters.
Storm Frost and her family are loyal and kind members of our CC family, won’t you lease help this little sweetheart earn her COTD badge. Her family would be proud and she will be very happy

Peaches #230760 is a talented cat and does tricks such as giving a high five, sitting, laying down and he and his human mom are working on teaching him to wave. Peaches #230760 is a smart fellow and enjoys learning new tricks. He gets rewarded for doing these things with treats and Peaches enjoys his treats a lot. Peaches #230760 will sit when his mom snaps her fingers too. Peaches likes to hang out and sleep on his mom's car but she doesn't really like Peaches to sleep there since he gets paw prints on the windows. Most of you know Boo Kitty and her Mom Jane as the creators of the beautiful frames that many of you have received when you were a COTD winner! It was a very happy day for Chloe #225879 when she was rescued by her forever family! Mom found Chloe under the porch at her workplace. Chloe was taking care of a kitten, so Mom rescued them both, and named the kitten Laci. When Mom checked with the vet, she found out that they were not litter mates! Chloe is 4 months older than Laci, and has gained some weight now that she doesn’t have a little one to care for. Chloe #225879 is a very important member of her family, and she is thriving! Chloe loves to play; her favorite toys are catnip-scented pompoms, and balls that have jingle bells inside! Like many of us, Chloe’s has a least favorite activity, and that is getting her nails clipped! Her favorite places to hang out are on Mom’s lap and on top of the cat condo! Jakar is a handsome 3 year old who always looks good in his basic black. He was born feral, but became a beloved member of his family as a tiny kitten. He’s a fun loving guy who loves to play fetch with his pawrents, always bringing them toys to toss for him to retrieve. He also likes to wrestle with his brother Hedley who outweighs him by a lot!
He and his brothers Hedley and Neelix are active in MHL hockey and have become very good players in just a short time.
Perhaps the most important aspect of Jakar’s personality is his kindness and loyalty to his CC friends and family. Not a day goes by that you don’t see Jakar offer congratulations to his friends, bringing kind words to those who are ill or sad and supporting the CC family as a whole. Jakar is a wonderful and caring member of our CC community. Let’s show him how much we appreciate him by joining together to vote for him on Monday the 28th, to bring him his COTD badge. *RAINBOW SCOOP* From the desk of Editor Angel Sherman…ANGEL STORMY #75494 was a happy cat living in a home where he’d been since he was a kitten when one day his owner turned him in to an 82% kill shelter in 2007 because she was "moving and couldn’t take him with her." When he didn't get adopted at Petsmart, his time was up, so he was adopted as a foster for the rescue his profile owner volunteered for. He was incredibly reclusive and never played, looked out the window or did anything but crouch on the bare floor under or behind the sofa. We think this sweet boy was traumatized by the sudden departure of his longtime friend/owner, plus being put into a strange home but he was loved very dearly by his adoptive foster parents & they did what they could for him until his sudden crossing on December 21,2008. We’d like everyone to help honor the memory of this handsome boy by running by & pawing ANGEL STORMY #75494 an ACOTD vote today (Friday January 18) so that his star can outshine all the rest in the heavens tomorrow night.

Gracie #230155 is a beautiful 5 year old Persian that was with her former family for only 8 months. Sadly Gracie was displaced when her owner brought a new puppy home & her husband didn’t want to keep both Gracie & the puppy. There is a happy ending to Gracie’s story though, because her forever family was quick to take her in and she now has her own special place in their loving home! Mom tells us that Gracie had two litters of beautiful kittens and was a wonderful mother. Gracie #230155 is loving, has many interests and is very talented! She is very deft of paw and can swipe food from your plate if you look away! Gracie is a cheese lover, and also enjoys cheesy treats! One of Gracie’s favorite things to do is play fetch with foam ear plugs! She also enjoys being outside when the weather is good, and can hop over the fence to get out to the front yard! Quiet time is spent getting lots of love & pets, lounging on the bed or sitting by the window! Gracie’s wonderful family also shares their loving home with fursibs Bandit Bob, George and Lulu/Trixie! This is our last special recognition catpaign of 2012 & we’ve got the purrfect kitty to ring in the New Year! ALUMINUM #240737 is a beautiful young kitty that was noticed at a local vet office when mom was looking for another kitty after the loss of her special boy. There were several strays up for adoption but none of them caught the eye of mom until she came to the cage of a sweet adult cat that had finished weaning her litter of kittens & been spayed by the clinic. As soon as her would be mom picked her up & cuddled her she knew she was the purrfect one to join her family. She took her home that day in a crate that wouldn’t latch but did great holding the cage door closed even though her hand was being attacked the entire ride home. As soon as Aluminum #240737 arrived at her new forever home she settled in quickly & began purring.
She’s extremely loyal to her mom & follows her on every walk she takes plus loves to wrestle & play bite with her. Aluminum says there isn’t a treat on the market that she won’t eat but only eats wholesome, good-for-you cat food. The Green Mountain Gang & GMG 2 are doing something we have never done before--campaign for one (actually 4) of our own!! We have re-done Hazel and Hattie's page to include their two sisters Heidi and Hannah and we're naming them the 4H Sisters--for obvious reasons!! These kittens were rescued from a feral Mom and have found a safe and happy home with us! This precious little boy was his Mom’s little shadow when he was little, following her everywhere. He was a quiet cat but everywhere he went he always ran & never walked. Their human mom found them in a parking lot one day and gave them both a loving forever home. *RAINBOW SCOOP for 11/30/2012* KATIE #201150 was spotted by her mom at a rescue event at a pet store. It was love at first sight for both of them so mom put in her application for review & waited impatiently for two weeks while they processed & approved her. Once it was approved KATIE #201150 came to her new forever home & became the mom to all the other furbabies in the house, although she was especially close to her brother Serj. On 11/26/12 mom took Katie to the vet as she had been lethargic, not eating or drinking and just lying around the kitchen floor. The vet determined she was in liver failure and the prognosis was very poor. Her loving mom didn't want her to suffer and made the tough decision to let her go so today we’d like to honor the life of this precious angel & the beloved family that adopted her. Please go by & paw ANGEL KATIE #201150 an ACOTD vote today (Friday November 30th) & give her family some gentle hugs of comfort to help them get through this difficult time.

ANGEL TUXIE #192399 was freezing with frost covering his tiny body when he was rescued by his daddy one early November morning & as they say-the rest is history. He lived a very happy life until he crossed the Bridge on June 9th, 2012 peacefully in his home. PLEASE VOTE WENDY #6497 COTD WED 11/21
Those of you who have been around CC for awhile have certainly met Wendy #6497, and those of you who may not have had the pleasure, here’s your chance. Wendy is a gorgeous Tonkinese who has been a CFA Champion. Her parents saw a Tonkinese at a cat show and became interested in the breed, and after getting to know the breeder a little better, they met pretty Wendy. Wendy had given birth to a litter of kittens and when they kittens were ready to go, so was Wendy. She was about 2 years old at the time, and now she has reached the golden age of 16! One of Wendy’s favorite activites is to go for rides in the car with her pawrents to look at Christmas lights, so we know this is her favorite time of year. Recently, she has had a few medical issues and had to spend some time at the vet hospital. Thankfully, she is now back home with her loving family where she belongs. We know they are grateful to have Wendy back home, and we’re grateful as well, as Wendy has been a special friend to so many of us. Let us show that gratitude by voting for her on Wednesday, 11/21, and making her our Thanksgiving Day COTD. Thank you, and HAPPY THANKSGIVING!! Boomerang, #232041, is one lucky cat. He was found at a very young age by his family and has been in his loving forever home ever since and that was five years ago. Boomerang $232041 got his name because he would run away from people and then come back. Boomerang is a clever name for him and he also goes by Boomer and Boom Bam.
Boomerang #232041 has a very relaxed and peaceful life. He likes to wander around his fenced-in backyard and also likes to spend time laying under his big grass plant which is also outside. That sounds like a good place to hide and wait for some unsuspecting critter to come near. Boomerang likes cat treats and especially likes catnip. He doesn't like to have his picture taken or having to go to the vet but otherwise, Boomerang #232041 has a most relaxing and happy life and he is very content.
