Coat: short haired

Education: Puma spent 2yrs as a blood donor at an animal hosptial where I adopted him. His jumping skills were practically non existant. I saw that he was apprehensive. .scared of falling. It took a several months of putting him on top of high places and giving him several short levels of decension until he built up his confidence. Now Puma hangs out on top of the kitchen cabinets, and on top of the entertainment center which is his favorite place to be when I have company so he watch everyone. I was so proud of him. He was back to being a "free" normal cat.

My favorite tricks and treats are: Crunchy Pounce with Tuna and Salmon.

Where I hang out: On top of the kitchen cabinet, fridge, entertainment center and moms closet.

My favorite grubs: Market Select: Real Tuna with Whole Shrimp in sauce and Real Salmon with Crab meat in sauce.

My pet peeves: I don't like the vet and to be brushed pass the shoulder blades..it pisses me off.
I don't like my belly rubbed or brushed. It could be trust issue. They did take a lot of blood from me frequently.

What I love about my owners: She accepts me for who I am. She's a cool lady. She plays with me a lot..sometimes more than I want too, but when I had enough she respects that. She knows how to listen to my meows and look into my eyes and know what I need and want. We're really in tune with each other. I know there are time when she is sad she'll lay next to me on her bed and I'll reach out my paw to touch her in hope that will bring her comfort. Oh yeah, and the other thing that's cool is - she's "not" afraid of water and she has NO fur!
It just looks so strange! When she comes out of the shower she has to do so many things to herself. Makes me VERY greatful that I'm a cat :)

My cat hobbies: Loves to chase the red light beam, play in my crinkle paper sound tube, sleep, eat and watch TV.

How We Met

I wanted a cat, preferably a black cat that was already declawed. I wanted a black one because I use to have one named Miracle but she got old and died. So I went to the Animal Medical Center where I used to work. I looked at many cats and when I got to the last cage, there was Puma, black and declawed. It was like my prayers were answered. I felt that I had my little girl back, but I soon realized that they have their own little personalities and ways about them. They told me at the AMC that he was not a lap sitter, but he will come to you when he feels like it. I found that to be true. He comes out of his shell when he wants too. I call him a DIVO. I began to know him and his ways and fell in love with him. And we've been together ever since.
