Good Evening Evie
The Woes of Princess O: I am so stressed out...My whole life routine has been disrupted & it's all my Mommy's fault as usual.....I ask you, why must the woman cause me undo stress & upset the delicate balance of my life??...She is so selfish & only thinks about herself...First she had the nerve to stop eating all my favorite things like, cheese puffs, carrot cake, pumpkin muffins, ketchup, I could go on...Now I am alone waiting, waiting, waiting for her to come home in the morning and she is never on time anymore...Listen, my life is tough enough being without her when she works at night, now this...Let me set the stage before the disruption in my life began...It's 7am & I rush to my window sill to wait for Mommy to drive up...Between 7:05 and 7:10am Mommy drives up, parks the cars, gets out & waves at me...I then run to the end table right next to the door & a minute later she comes in and I get kisses, hugs & Greenies...You might think I am waiting at the door because I want my treats but really I love Mommy's kisses on my little head & I give Mommy lots of head butts, purrs & then I get my Greenies...Don't mock me...I really do love my kisses & oh okay, I love my Greenies too...Anyway, here is the new scenario, it's 7am, I run to my window sill, I see Mommy drive up, she gets out of the car & waves to me, I run to the door and no Mommy...Would you believe she never comes thru the door now until 45 minutes to 1 hour later...Well, today I had enough...When Mommy came thru the door I gave her what for...I meowed my displeasure & wouldn't let her kiss me...I was so upset with her...I do not like this new routine...Why, oh why must my Mommy treat me like this...Mommy said she is trying to stay healthy by walking in the morning..She also said she would take me with her to the Boardwalk where she walks if she could get my stroller down the three flights of stairs in our apartment building...Sure she would, the woman always has an excuse...So now when Mommy is due home I have to wait & wait, and wait some more...I am not happy...MOL...Anyway, I guess I have no choice but to adjust to this new schedule...How did I lose control & when did my life start being about Mommy???...It sure is a good thing I am such an adaptable, easy going, sweet natured, loving, tolerant kitty...You know, I wonder if Mommy knows what a good thing she has...I mean after all, how many kitties would let their lives stop being about them & allow their lives to be controlled by their human...Geesh, I'm ashamed I'm a cat, please don't tell anyone about this, it sure makes me look bad..MOL...HKL, where did I go wrong!!!... I hope you are still top cat in your house !!!!...I also hope you have a purrfect week, I know I won't...Disgusted & Annoyed Purrs, Princess O

How ya doin?? I have been much better the last couple of days in fact I have been driving mom nuts with all my curiosity. She can't go anywhere with out me coming to see what she is doing, of course I try to give her helpful suggestions, but she removes me from the dyer and says you go through there you will look like Mouse!!!MOL!!! What’s mew with you? I have WONDERFUL mews!!!! Dr. William called - my T4 by equilibrium dialysis thyroid test was NEGATIVE!!!! Thankfully that means I do not have hyperthyroidism.

I have decided that I really do not like to eat the Prescription Diet k/d canned food. I will eat the k/d dry but not the canned food. So Mommy has been busy researching other canned foods with low protein (less than 10%) for me. The crazy woman is also studying our food labels. Do I read the labels on all that junk SHE eats???

Tonight is my last dose of that nasty Clavamox for the UTI. After I have been off it for four days, Mommy will take my urine sample to Dr. William to be rechecked. Hopefully the UTI will be all gone.

Mommy & Nana have a meeting scheduled with Dr. William @ 9 a.m. this Caturday as they have a growing list of questions & concerns. Poor Doc! You would think they love me or something!!!

I'm sorry I missed pouncing by to visit you yesterday sweet kitties. Mom has been busy getting things ready for human bro's 13th BD today so didn't get to CC or DC at all. Bad mom...MOL! Anyway, she's almost done with the only thing left to do being frost the cake & add sprinkles & candles. Tonight is also sis' final school band concert so things have been hopping around here. The end of school is always one of mom's busiest times & dad is generally exhausted when he comes home because the teachers, principal, etc. are wanting end of the year stuff taken care of. Pretty soon it will all be over & then the calmer days of summer break will be upon us, followed by big sis' wedding the first day of August. Mom says this year has flown since she's been so busy but I have to tell you that I think it's kept her out of mischief...MOL!

Well got to run so mom can run the sweeper monster & relax a few minutes before she thinks of something else to do, such as weeding the flowers again before it rains.

Have a purrfect day dear furiend & I'll meow again when I can.

Thanks so much for sending out the reminders for the hockey games for me while I was away. If you will finish up Round One, I will send out the Round Two notices starting on Thursday.

YES, EVIE~~~~We did it!!!
Mom stayed up til the very end of the game and watched them shake hands and also the post game player interviwes. Mom finally went to bed at 2am. She got up at 10:30am today.

It is another cold day here. Burr. We are in the 50's and the sun is mostly behind the clouds, but it comes out sometimes. It is supposed to warm back up later in the week and we cna't wait.

Mom let us go outside, but we didn't stay out long, we came back in the house, we like it just a bit warmer. It is also kinda windy and we do not like that either.

Mom took the bus out today and went to Joann-Fabrics as they are having a 50% off Sumnmer sale and she bought some flowers to wrap around the sides and top of the trellis and also got some birdies to sit on it...mom did take a picture of it and will post it when she empties her memory card.

Mom has a head cold from the changing weather. She is taking cold pills for it, she sneezes a lot. I cuddle with her at night to keep her warm so she will get better faster.

Thank you for your kind words, prayers & sweet thoughts. Like many of you, Mommy knows all too well about kidney disease. Her Dot passed away at the age of 17 from kidney disease & hyperthyroidism in October 2000. Mommy had hoped it would be a very long time before she was faced with this awful disease again. She will do her very best to give me the greatest care possible & lots of TLC.

I am eating the k/d canned and dry foods pretty well so far. Mommy says it is extremely difficult having one baby on a special diet. But we are doing our best with this situation & taking it one day at a time.

Thanks again for your prayers & concern. We really do appreciate it. Job 12:10 says “In God’s hands is the life of every creature.” We believe this to be true.

Kittzi 160203 and I had fun playing early yesterday morning as we had a couple toys out of our toy basket, plus we got a little rowdy and dumped some water out of our bowl! MOL! Mom says it's a good thing we have our food and water setting on a plastic tray!

Mom came in yesterday afternoon with my favorite toy wand to play with us, but Kittzi wasn't into playing! I had a catastic time!

Well, my my my. We have done it again, taken more than 10 days to answer your last blog. One thing you gotta say - we are consistent. In our behindedness.

Oh yes, we definitely have a squirrel problem with the walnut tree. Mom wishes she had a BB gun! What really hisses her off isn't so much that the squirrel robs all the walnuts, because she'd never be able to reach the ones at the top of the tree anyway. She gets really tee'd off because he also tears leaves and even small branches off the tree. He makes a MESS in the yard with all his walnut shells, too. He drops them all over the place. Obviously the little vermin just sits right there in the tree and eats the "fruits" of his thieving! He goes back and forth across the street on the telephone wire. Mom is always checking to see if his little flat carcass is in the middle of the road yet. So far no luck.... We DO have a hawk who lives somewhere nearby. MOL!

PS - The squirrel DOES drive our dog nuts. We know for a fact that that squirrel would be lunch meat if he ever lost his balance when the dog was in the vicinity. :)

Princess Diaries: Mommy wanted to say Thank You for the Mother's Day poem, carnations and wishes, it was very sweet and we loved it all...Today we had our first really warm day...Of course when you live on the shore there is almost always an ocean breeze so it is cooler by the beach...The temp was 72 today and off shore they actually hit 80... I wish the temperature would stay like this thru the summer...We hate when it's hot and humid and today it was purrfect...Of course the downside of this nice weather is Daddy will be playing golf a lot...Today was his first golf day of the season (he has a set Friday date with a buddy when weather permits) but he made sure to have lunch with Mommy & I first...Of course he surprised us with a big box of huge Strawberries and Chocolate...Do you think he was bribing us?...MOL...Duh!!!...Daddy thinks he's slick what he doesn't know is Mommy and I think he deserves to play Golf but we like to tease him about leaving us all alone...Mommy says she is a golf widow and I am the poor child being deserted for better things....HKL, the woman can really pour it on....Daddy says Mommy is so silly, personally I think she is pretty funny...After lunch he and Mommy made Chocolate Covered Strawberries together and then Daddy fed me a nice, juicy , "plain" Strawberry...Oh how I wanted the Chocolate one but we all know Chocolate is "TOXIC" to kitties...Anywho, it was Daddy's first time feeding me a Strawberry...Mommy usually gives me my Strawberry fix...Daddy said I was so funny slurping it up and rubbing it all over my whiskers and cheeks and then rubbing my face all over his hands...Mommy actually took a video of it and then she posted it on the FB/CC Survivors Page today...Is nothing sacred in my family...What am I going to do with the woman's need to blab all my personal and private moments to the whole world...I have come to the conclusion Mommy is incorrigible...Well, it's never a dull moment around my house...I think Mommy & Daddy are both amusing, at least to me...MOL...This almost ends this weeks episode of " The Princess Diaries "....This weeks quote is so very true except when it concerns STRAWBERRIES..." Yeppers...we are going to game 7. We hope for a win as well so we can get to round 2. Wouldn't it be something if we went all the way??? Mom said she'd faint if that happened...stranger things have happenedd in hockey!

\I know the OC{Hawks} do not want to face Anaheim or the Sharks...they are hoping for us...but I am not too sure I want to face them, Anaheim is tough enough to beat, OC will be a lot tougher. DEan is hoping for KCK.

Mom went out today and she picked up some frames for some of her family photo's and more pretty flowers for the back yard. She still needs a few more to fill one more long flowerbox, then she's done.

Mom got a trellis for our yard, it is so cool. Mom is gonna get flowers to hang around it, and today she hung windchimes off the top bar and put some magnatized butterflies on nit as well...mom says when it is done she will take a picture and put it on one of our pages.

It's too chilly here today. Only made it to the 50's and it was cloudy all day, no rain though, but we are supposed to drop to the 40's tonight and it is windy, too. What happened to Spring???

How are you? Yesterday I visited Dr. William for my annual checkup, blood work (CBC, 6-panel, T3 & T4), shots and 3-month Schirmer eye test. First the good news – my eyes are doing well.

Mommy’s intuition told her something was going on with me, so now the not-so-good mews. I am in the very early stages of kidney disease:
My BUN level = 38 (normal is 16-36)
My Creatinine = 2.6 (normal is .8-2.4)

Dr. William says we caught this early. For now, we are going to treat it by changing my diet to Prescription Diet k/d. So far, I am eating both the k/d canned and the k/d dry food. We will recheck my levels in 3 months.

I also have a UTI, so I am taking Clavamox, the wonder drug. My thyroid level (T4) is in the “grey area” so Dr. William sent some of my blood to Texas A&M so they can run a test called T4 by Equilibrium Dialysis. We should receive those results next week.

As you can imagine, Mommy is very upset, stressed, & worried about me. Please keep us in your prayers.

Concatulations sweetie on winning the spring kitty contest! We bet your siblings are very happy for you.

I loved your Derby hat, it was very chic and right in style. Don't worry about what Mallow and Mike thought about it. Though I did like Mallow's hat too, it fitted her purrsonality. We all had a lot of fun didn't we, even if none of us picked the winner.

Tomorrow Timothy's poppa is having cateract surgery. He'll be needing it on both eyes. He and Seb's momma have to be in Ann Arbor by 8 a.m. Yikes! They went house hunting earlier this week and will be doing so again next week. Boy, the thought of moving is exciting but a little scarey for a kitty too. Leaving you a berry catnip smoothie to enjoy.

I know this is way too early to ask, but me and Elvis are planning a August Wedding...I think the colors baby pink and lilac are purrfect, what do you think???

Also I have a huge favor to ask you...will you please be my Bridemaid??? Me and Kelsee do not get along, so I do not want her, she can be my Maid of Honor if she wants that is...knowing her, she might hiss!!!

Concatulations on your Contest win!!! The part that had mom worried was the high temp and being totally backed up!! When they did the enema, the exhaust was loose not hard. Surprised everybody including the vet!!! Mom would really like to know what started that. Thats when she ordered the full meal deal in the way of tests, said she is tired of surprises, but there were none *whew* huge sigh of relief from her. ♥ Mom opened dad's bedroom window this morning so we could go out in the cattery. Then mom went out in the front yard to dig up a rose bush that died and replaced it with the new one that came from the Big Brown truck (UPS) on Monday. This is a SPECIAL Rose Bush sent to mom in Memorial of PAPPOOSE'S 10366 Forever Sleep on 4/24/2012 from our sweet friends Mouse 219407; Tucker 219145 & Momma Lynn. The Rose is called "Always & Forever" and the flowers will be Red!!!! Mom then watered all her flowers.

♥ Mom and dad then loaded the truck with more scrap metal then while dad hauled it off to the scrap yard mom did some weeding in the front yard. Then they loaded up aluminum so dad hauled it off while mom did more weeding and finally they loaded up more scrap wood then dad hauled it off. Mom wasn't in to anymore weeding or work!!!!

Oh yes, mom knows what you're meowing about. Mom constantly has to do conversions even after all of these years. She prefers her measures in metric but nothing is in metric in the US. They ought to get with the rest of the world, don't you think? Wow, that's really warm fur you. We should be just as warm but we haven't since last year. We're still waiting....happy Tuesday.

How pretty you look!!! So many have asked so here is my story. It all started with me slowing down on my eating. Mom watched me for that week and by the next Sunday I would not eat at all. Mom was thinking that I had swallowed something that I shouldn't have. Mom called for an appt they did an X-ray. The vet thought he saw three objects inside of me and my colon and intenstines were very full and very distended and I was running a 103.6 temperature. So the X-ray was sent to a specialist to read. With the new digital X-rays they are able to see so much more than they used to be able to, so when we got the results there really was nothing inside except what was supposed to be.hehehe And a whole lot of something else, the Vet decided to help me get rid of it and I spent the whole day there being monitered. I was not feeling good and very flat after that. My temp stayed for a couple of days afterwards, but by Friday it was down and I was starting to feel better. By then I had spent two days at the vets and Mom wanted to give me break over the weekend. She was a nervous wreck not knowing what had caused all this in the first place so back I went last week for blood work. It all came back purrfect. So we had one of those kitty mysteries. They still have no idea what really happened but I am more back to myself now, although I am still not eating like I was before all this happened.
