Hey AQ Gracie & family!
Happy Memorial Day weekend! Mom is dancing around the apt! She is thrilled the Hawks beat the Wings tonight! Monday we play in detroit & plan to win again! WOO HOO! Got quite cold & windy today! The apt was down to 65* again so Mom broke out the portable heater again. Screwy weather. We had a couple days of 90* weather! Mom picked up a special knee wrap at CVS today. It fits great. Better than the ice pack she had. It's reusable so she can keep refreezing it. Her therapist wants her icing three times a day because of swelling in the knee. Leaving a vote. Peace & love. Mike & Dolly arrive at the full moon pawty
dressed in their tropical flowered finest. Dolly's gone for the grass skirt, but not the coconut bra. She wants Mikey to wear that, mol. Mikey gives Gracie a big hug and thanks her for wanting to watch out for him. Nothing overbearing about you, Gracie, you can back me up in fighting off the females any time. Sometimes my arms DO get tired, after all, mol. Just so long as my lovely wife knows that I'm safe & trustworthy on my own, too. (hugs & kisses Dolly, who blushes because she never doubted it).

Lily did wonders with all the flowers, and I see Spongie came to string the lights, too. Everyone is wearing leis and flowered outfits. O.J. & I got some body paint and painted flowers on each other too. There's still some left for anyone who's brave. How about it, you & Max? And I hear Steve is running around in a towel .....

Hey, O.J. found a real blast from the past to dance to, we have Santana's "Moonflower" double album ready to go. How appropriate is that? Love that "Black Magic Woman".

Oh, no, Gracie, the bacon & maple were fine! But that bacon & mocha ..... well, it was an experiment, mol. Why don't you wear a flowered sarong, with a great big stargazer lily behind your ear? And of course a big white jasmine lei. Max is lookin' spiffy in that Hibiscus tank top and Hawaiian shorts. Glad he's gettin' into the mallow flower spirit, too.

And wouldja believe because it's National Wine Day I scored some Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon Cabernet Sauvignon? A bit more lah-di-dah than my usual taste, but Gracie, it's Pink Floyd! And we have the tunes to go with it, groove on THAT!

Hi AQ Gracie!
Here's the florist truck and Lily is driving it! It's full of all kinds of floral arrangements, roses, daisies, carnations and lillies of the valley. I have some tropical arrangements, too, with orchids and bromyliads and hibiscus. I am putting vases with iris on each of the tables and they have matching Siamese Fighting Fish in the water in the vase.

I also have a big birthday cake for Jakar the birthday boy and Lolipalooza LiLi the birthday girl. Hope they are coming tonight. Also for Montgomery and Cassandra Brown as I see they are having birthdays too.

I have pink and purple and silver twinkling fairy lights. I am arranging them around the dance floor intertwined with ivy and lavendar clematis blooms. Ummm...don't tell mom I borrowed some from her clematis, it's blooming now and it looks super lovely. You know how much she likes that. Her iris is blooming, too, and there are more blooms than ever before. She especially likes the ones she got from her mom.

Bruins are playing the Rangers now and mom may start yelling soon. In an hour the Blackhawks come on and mom will be holding her breath; they are on their last game if they lose they are out of the playoffs. Mom will have fingers and toes crossed that they will win and win the next 3.

How has your day been.37 here this morning with a huge frost,mr.sun warmed up later but the wind is really cool. Me,mom went out to explore.Made my usual rounds,ate grass,went to check out the tree where the little birdies were,I could see them way in the top of that tree,flying around,chirping,mom bird was with them,I did not stay there long,don't want ole mom bird to fly down and peck me on the head!Then mom said shhhh,listen Spongie,Oreo,I hear the groundhogs in the building playing,they were having a time in that building,mom would talk to them and they would get real quiet,mom said we better go,they might run out of there on us,so off we went,Oreo went way around the building,hehe.Got to my tall grass,and I stopped real still,mom said you must see a mousey in there,yep,thats what it was,I waited a minute,then pounced ,ole mousey got away in the grass,mom said you will find another one soon,ahhhhh,I wanted that one,ole mousey.So I just got mad and lay down and would not get up,mom pulled,I just lay there stiff as a board,hehe, nope I'm not getting up,mom said Spongie get up right now,well ole cane kinda looked at me and I came up and we went right on walking.Did not sit out today to cool,did not even see any butterflies or the worms out,must have been to windy cool mom said.So we came on in,made all my rounds,took a run through the house,knocked the cat toys all over the floor,balls were rolling all around,then I found my marble and I hit it,mom said Spongie whats going on in there,soudns like the house fell,ahhh nothing mom,ole marble just rolled through the floor,then I checked to see where Gang were all at,Wicket was napping in my box but I did not bother him.Mom went to rest and I came through the house making that mewoing sound carrying mr.innertube in to mom,mom said I know when you are carrying him,you make that loud meowing sound,hopped on the bed,dropped him on the bed,gave mom a headbutt,kitty kiss and napped a little while,Now I'm laying in the window,Baby eating treats,I better go check and make sure that was not my treat plate,Cindell,Missy napping,mom had to cook Wicket a hot dog,mom throws them up in the air for him to catch,there are hot dogs all over the floor,hehe. I sure had a great time hanging the lights for the full moon pawty,do they look ok?I love climbing with my paw boots do to that!Everything looks great,we are all having a great time,I brought some of my special giggly with micecream pops,Gang baked lots of grasshopper cookies and spider cuppycakes for everyone,lets pawty! So I looked like Li’l Abner out in the garden yesterday, did I? Must be those big guns we have in common, mol. Okay, we have these baskets of rainbow roses, I see Mallow & O.J. already up stringing leis and Dolly is going to set her artistic touch to helping Lily create some centrepieces. Hi Angel Queen Gracie!
I’m happy to report, my Mom’s worrying over Whitey not eating yesterday was all for naught. Whitey and Orangie both showed up this morning with voracious appetites. Mom was all smiles again! Afterwards, the two kitties wandered around the garage, sniffing the cat carrier and rubbing their faces on it. (Callie and I had been playing in the cat carrier just yesterday and I made sure to leave my scent.) The cats don’t seem to mind the top of the cat carrier getting closer, so everything is going as planned. We hope!

The pictures of the "Lunch Bunch" look great on your page! It made Mom smile! We're sorry to hear Sugar's ear marble came back. We hope the shot helps the poor baby kitty. We are praying for Sugar.

Thanks for the wonderful treat basket! I haven't had fish n chips in ages. Yummy! Everything hit the spot, especially the maple/bacon moonpies with bacon mochalattes! You are the best dear furiend!

Always sleep on the human at night so he/she cannot move around. Even better- lie on his or hers face, making sure your arse is right on their nose. When she is wearing an expensive silk nightie, don't forget to paw it. This will create lovely patterns!

LITTER BOX:
When using the litter box, be sure to kick as much litter out of the box as possible. Humans love the feel of kitty litter between their toes. The smell is also very attractive.

Marines Rescue Cats In Afghanistan – (taildom.com)

In Afghanistan, in the midst of war, many animals are lost and separated from their family. Many are found later by troops from the US, UK and Canada. Soldiers rescue these animals and get help from rescue groups that help them send these animals out of the country and to a forever loving home that they deserve.

Two US marine soldiers, Brian Chambers & Chris Berry, started a mission to help bring home the kittens they have befriended while serving in Afghanistan. With generous donations from cat lovers and animal rescue shelters, Kiki and Keykey, two lovely ginger kitties, have successfully made it home in the US.

Kiki and his fursister Bones were found by Brian Chambers, a U.S. Marine. “At only 3 weeks old, their mother had disappeared and they were left alone to live rough and fend for themselves like the other cats in this area. We looked after them both and they lived in a box in the office, after a week they were allowed to roam around during the day and sleep with us in the hooch at night.” Bones vanished a week after, along with Kiki, but Kiki eventually returned.

Kiki was injured badly on March 8th. Brian found him in horrible condition. “He was too frightened to approach me. I ran to find some wipes to clean him and I then realized how bad this wounds really were.” A vet came the next day and put Kiki on a course of antibiotics. Today Kiki has fully recovered.

“Kiki is a very playful adventurous cat who loves to explore and is very curious. He enjoys sitting on my shoulder, chewing on my hand and running up my legs. He hasn’t been put off by what has happened to him.”

Keykey was found by another U.S. marine named Chris Berry. “I found Keykey tangled up in c-wire one day in the beginning of the deployment. I took him in and fixed his wounds. He was extremely malnourished so I constantly kept an eye on him, until he was back to good health. He has been by my side ever since.”

Both Keykey and Kiki have arrived in the U.S. Kiki is currently living with Brian’s parents in Texas. Keykey is living with Chris’ parents in Michigan.

For soldiers who are on duty overseas, often time the only chance they get to cuddle is when they meet these stray animals. These soldiers are lonely and longing for love from their family and friends. The kitties are abandoned, lost and have nowhere to call home. When they find each other, they become best friends.

we're on our way
down via angel air since it's only lower 40s and pouring down with rain yet again! we had 31/2+" of rain and expected to go over 4" easily after today and tonight's rain! snow is falling to the west and north accumulating which isn't to good. hence the rush to get there for the entire weekend to get out of this cold and mess! janet says she's sorry she's missing it all, but by monday after she's home from work as it'll be clear back to the 70s and sunny as that's supposed to happen tomorrow afternoon only 50s and 60s! sandy,ana,haley,angels

Oh, Gracie! BACON Mocha Lattes?
I don’t feel so good, even before I start on the kitty coladas or think about all of us girls lei-ing Steve. Oh, I’m gonna hurl! I won’t blame the bacon m …. (oh, I can’t even say it again!) for KA losing tonight, but it didn’t help much <GAAAK!>. So I’m gonna think about all these lovely mallow flowers and lilies and roses, go lei O.J. and then we’ll string a few more leis for everyone else. I don’t know where he stands on the Speedo issue, but I got him some nice board shorts, anyway so he can take his choice. He’s way ahead of you, as soon as I told him what I was gonna wear, he already lined up a tux & a cummerbund to match. We will look elegant to the max! And I will snag some of that perfume from my Mom for sure.

Oh, and see (waggles fingers in front of Gracie)? He got me this really awesome deep purple nail polish with real diamond chips in it! See how they sparkle? I tell ya, I had to take out an insurance policy on this mucho expensive little bottle. Hey, Gracie, do ya think after I use it all up I can collect from the insurance company because it’s gone? Hey, it’s worth a shot! Might be able to get O.J. his money back, you never know. Ain't I considerate?

Anyway, I am WAY too tired and Dad is yakkety yakking on the phone and keeping me awake. I’ll be busy decorating and partying tomorrow! -- Mallow

My Furry Godmother
Didja see it didja? Oh my gosh, I was the #1 Star and I also had 4, yes 4 assists. Can you believe it? I barely can. I asked you and Zippy to come and sit with us at hockey but don't think you saw my blog. That's ok. I miss some, too. It goes pretty fast.

I had Mikey help me in the garden at Rainbow Rose Manor. I trimmed and weeded all the roses and he hauled away all of it in his wheelbarrow. We brought a huge amount of the rainbow roses to help decorate for the moom pawty tomorrow night. They look so beautiful.

My mom was so excited and happy to meet your dear mom. She is so tiny and adorable. She wishes that all of us had more time together but wouldn't have traded the time we did have for anything. Very special day with special CC moms. She said she was so very blessed.

Well, Mikey and I are back in our hut watching the Pittsburg game and then going to our HK hammock soon.

Did you hear about the bridge falling in? It's about 10 miles north of us. So happy that no one was killed, but it sure messed things up for the holiday weekend. I'm not glad that it happened, but I'm glad that it Didn't happen Tuesday when Teresa had to drive over it twice.

It was super great to see you at the rink! Weren't those steaks great that Whiskers and Talley and Angel Maggie had on the menu! Yummy! Mom left work early today and she did some yardwork with Rika following her around, then she took a little nap before hockey. It was a nice evening at the rink; very peaceful. Was glad to see there was no hissing, I don't like it when that happens.

Let's have some German chocolate cake and have some camomile tea with it. It's chilly here, so guess we need to grab out snuggies again.

Oh it's poker night! I hope I brought enough catbucks. Do we have any kitty coladas? I will make a pitcher of those.

The temperature was high 61 & low was 46 this morning, now it's 60 with humidity 55% & wind is 9 MPH W. Saturday's suppose to be Rain & Sun & High 65.

♥ We had a break in the weather with no rain for today so about noon mom and dad loaded the truck with several automotive batteries to Interstate Batteries for recycle and some electronics to a different recycle place. Mom also started going through her jewelry armoir to thin out her jewelry collection since she hardly wears most of it and will put it in the yaed sale stuff!!!!

♥ Mom did open dad's bedroom window this afternoon, so we could go out in the cattery for a little while.

A sweet treat ...
Today we visit the Dole Plantation. Originally operated as a fruit stand beginning in 1950, Dole Plantation opened to the public as Hawaii’s "Pineapple Experience" in 1989. Today, Dole Plantation is one of Oahu’s most popular visitor attractions and welcomes more than one million visitors a year.

Are you ready? We are going to take a whistle stop tour through Hawaii’s Pineapple story on the Pineapple Express! On this fully narrated, twenty-minute train tour we’ll learn the story of pineapple in Hawaii. All aboard! After a brief scramble to get a seat next to their best buddies, all kitties are seated and it’s time to go. Our custom-constructed, vintage-style engine whisks us across more than a century of the island’s agricultural history, from the days when pineapple ruled the plantation to today’s rich diversity of farming enterprises, from mangoes to coffee to cacao beans. The ride is two miles long, twenty minutes in length. Along the way, we learn about the history of the world’s most beloved tropical fruit. Our journey takes us through a working plantation of pineapple and other crops, often featuring fields in all stages of growth, from planting to harvest. We also experience some of the scenic panoramas of Oahu’s renowned North Shore from a perspective few Hawai‘i visitors ever get to experience. When we depart the train, we can still smell the sweetness of pineapples ready to be picked.

And now for THE MAZE! In 2008, Dole Plantation’s giant Pineapple Garden Maze was declared the world’s largest maze. The maze stretches over three acres and includes nearly two and one-half miles of paths crafted from 14,000 colorful Hawaiian plants. We walk through the flora of the islands as we seek out eight secret stations that each lead us closer to the mystery at the heart of this larger-than-life labyrinth, one of only a handful of permanent botanical mazes in America. The fastest finishers win a prize and enter into the history of Dole Plantation, with their names recorded on a sign at the maze’s entrance. Several of our guests have raced ahead to find spots where they can “surprise” their furriends and hopefully scare them. After yesterday’s jump from a plane, frightening anyone is not going to prove easy, is it? Once we have confirmed everyone finally is out of the maze and accounted for, we head over for a treat.

No stop to Dole Plantation would be complete without enjoying a world-famous Dole Whip! This refreshing pineapple treat is guaranteed to quench our thirst and cool us down after a sun-filled day. This is the same wonderful treat we enjoyed when we visited Disneyland’s delightful Tiki Room.

Our visit to the Hawaiian Islands is growing to a close. A magnificent meal has been prepared by the chef to commemorate our time in this magical place. We eat our fill and head for the lounge where we can relive the past days and share the photos we have taken. See some of them at the bottom of my page.

How are you today.A sunny cool windy day here for us.Got to go out to explore for a littlw while.Went to all mousey bushes,nothing there,mouseys must have ran away looks like.Ate some grass as we walked,tried to wack another bumble bee,mom pulled me away from it ole,bee.Explored in the tall grass,I like to go in there and dig to see if there are bugs there,I will jump up in the air,then pounce in the grass and dig away,hehe,mom laughs at me!Did not see the groundhogs,they have all gotten big enogh so that the mom is letting them go way out in the field to eat grass,then thy come back later in the day to thier hole.Saw some butterflies,then went to my tree to scratch my claws and look for the baby birds,did not see them, mom said the wind might have scared them and they flew off,I wanted to tell them all hi,mom said maybe tomorrow they might be back.Saw some more of those ugly worms crawling around,then we went to sit down for a few minutes for mom to rest,I sat in the sun and watched some Robin birds,then some ducks flew over,they sure can quack loud,I yelled hi ole duckies!Oreo,Spotty were chasing each other,I sure would have liked to join in,but ole lead won't let me.Then a big puff of wind blew and mom said time to go in,well I went right in,I don't like that wind blowing my fur all up.Made my rounds through the house,moved the condo across the floor,I love doing that,mom said Spongie what are you doing in there,ahhh nothing mom just moving some furniture,hehe.Then me,mr.inertube went to rest with mom,I hopped up and gave mom a head butt,ate treats,then napped.Well now I just got scolded for wacking Wicket,he was laying on my toy rug right in my suuny spot,now I don't want that ole spot so I'm making lots of racket on my paper bag,Wicket got the spot back,Baby,Cindell,Missy all napping,I will just make racket and give mom,Wicket mean looks,hehe.Hope everyone has a safe,happy Memorial Day weekend.Sounds like all the cat moms had a great time getting together,thats so great, bet that had a lot of fun!Mom can't wait to see the picture!Thanks for the turtle moonpies and mocha lattes,that sure hit the spot!pawhugs,Spongie,Gang,Angels.

Hi Furry Godmother
Dolly and I had a very nice evening last night, thank you. We relaxed at Rainbow Rose Manor with to-go boxes and those turtle moonpies and lattes, watching "The Great Gatsby" while cuddling on the couch. Now today Dolly's had me working hard out in the yard doing some gardening. Yes, ME, don't laugh too hard! And NO, I didn't leave the weeds and pull the plants, nyah .... (Dolly watched me too closely for that to happen)

Oh, Dad is awful about teasing us. He tells Evie she's an abandoned puddy cat (but then he also tells her she's the best white kitty in the whole wide world), and he calls Mallow "the crazy one", but when she jumps up on his desk he pets and skritches her for as long as she wants it. And he tells me I'm Daddy's Boy, even though we all know I'm Mommy's Boy. He still reminds me that HE arranged for me to be here as a little buddy for HIM. I just blow raspberries at him and cuddle up with Mom, mol.

Never mind punishing Dad by telling him he has to find his own way home, we just need to get the nurses to tell him the elevator broke down and he has to get down from the 4th floor using the stairs. That would be pretty sadistic for us to do, believe me! Or they could just tell him they need to give him a couple of needles, hee hee.

Thanks so much for comming by on my crossing anniversary,I sure do miss mom and my earth fursibs so much,and mom misses me so much.I flew down to leave mom a angel hug,kiss ,mom,Spongie went out to remember me me by standing in the spot where I always went out and rolled in the dirt,I loved doing that,then I would run to the door and mom would brush me off and let me in the house.I gently wiped the tears from moms eyes today with my soft paw and wispered I love you mom,I know she heard me,becuase I saw a smile on her face,then I gave Spongie and each of my earth fursibs soft little angel wing hugs,thanks again for comming by today,sending you all down angel hugs sprinkled with angel dust,love.Thanks so much for the 88 layer angel food moonpie cake with cloud fluff icing and rainbow sprinkles,it sure looks yummy!Thanks for the rainbow flowered down comforter,I love it and it will sure keep me all warm,Angel Bootsie

You bet I will be at the Flower Moon pawty, it's marked on the calendar and Mike & Dolly's too. I'm gathering lots of Mallow flowers to decorate with and I hear that Dolly is busy today in the garden at Rainbow Rose Manor, so she'll probably bring some Rainbow Roses for the Flower Moon pawty too. Oh, we will definitely have to lei good ol' Steve, we'll have lots and lots of flowers and leis! We'll even get O.J. into a flowered shirt and shorts, he doesn't think it's as wussy and girly now that he knows Hibiscus are Mallow flowers!

We just may chill out in Mallowwood after the pawty, after all my birthday is coming up and we have that big paintball war to get ready for. Then after than comes the coronation. I'll bet Whiskers is going to go all formal, so you will barely recognize O.J. & I in the fancy outfits we have planned. Mom ordered that Violet Mallow perfume and a sample of Smokey Mountain Mallow, too. She just got an e-mail that it shipped, so maybe she'll let me borrow some for the coronation. If I ask nicely. Naw, if I do THAT, she'll think I'm sick and make me stay home.

Woo Hoo! I just saw where Bitsy & Maria are with their new Mom, stuck in traffic right now. AND they brought home a new brother named Chester, who is 11 years old and had been at the shelter for a whole year. -- Mallow

Hi Angel Queen Gracie!
Yes, we got the great pictures of the "Lunch Bunch!" You all came out beautiful and everyone looks so happy! My Mom can hardly wait to go to the next gathering. It's nice to have a face to go with the kitties. Mom and I picked your Mom out of the group pictures right away. She is so cute and tiny! Just like you.

This morning both Whitey & Orangie were waiting for Mom to open the garage door, but much to Mom’s dismay, Whitey only took a few bites of her Temptations and didn’t touch her canned food at all. Whitey just wanted to be petted and sat with Mom for about an hour. Of course my Mom is worried, but Dad thinks maybe she ate somewhere else. Orangie was happy to eat for the both of them. MOL! We shall see what happens tomorrow.

My Mom is always having to watch Callie's diet, so our treats are pretty much regulated. Our house is no fun! MOL! Thanks for the delicious treat basket! The pan pizza and spaghetti and mouseballs really hit the spot. My breath may smell like garlic now, but oh was it worth it! Thanks again dear angel! Time to snack on the turtle moonpies and sip my mocha latte.

Following are some more rules for "hampering:"

For paperwork, lie on the work in the most appropriate manner so as to obscure as much of the work as possible or at least. Pretend to doze, but every so often reach out and slap the pencil or pen. Bite when you're ready to move on.

When a human is holding the newspaper in front of him/her, be sure to jump on the back of the paper. Humans love to jump.

MOST IMPORTANT When a human is working at computer, jump up on desk, walk across keyboard and write a short story. Bat at mouse pointer on screen as if it were real. Then lay in human's lap across arms, hampering typing in progress.

What I’ve Learned From My Cats- by Sue Resnick

We, as Human-Americans, think that we are so much smarter than our pets. But think about it — who gets a belly rub just by purring; or, tells us when it’s time to eat without ever wearing a watch? That’s right: “Feline-Americans” teach us…that they are superior.

1) Feline-Americans (okay, cats) keep us in the moment. Cats make us realize how ridiculous it is to carry a grudge. They may fight with their “fur peer” one minute over kibble, & forget all about the brawl 5 minutes later. They live in the present. No, they’re not stupid, nor amnesiacs. They just know that carrying a grudge isn’t worth it in life. They have 9 lives and still won’t waste any of them staying mad.

2) Cats teach us patience. If you have the chance, watch a cat scope out a mouse. The kitty won’t run & run after the mouse. Instead, he’ll wait & steady itself for a pounce. That teaches us not to waste energy on something that can’t happen. Just wait for the right moment, & you’ll get what you deserve.

3) Always look attractive. Did you ever notice how big your cat’s eyes get when you open the cabinets where you keep her treats? Or, how she adorably cocks her head when she wants you to pet her? Cats are like supermodels: they can get everything they want by looking beautiful. Next time you need your office buddy to finish a report for you, look pitiful, dewy-eyed & speak softly. They’ll say yes, just because you look adorable.

4) Felines also teach us the value of sleep. We humans don’t sleep enough. You never see a cat wondering if it’s bedtime; they just go to sleep—with no worries. You get into bed, toss & turn, while Kitty snurrs (snoring & purring at the same time). Learn from your cat: your problems won’t go away while you’re dreaming, but you can be anyone you want with your eyes closed (yes, your buddy dreams he rules the Kingdom of Cats, with you as a royal servant).

5) Cats teach us the meaning of unconditional love. Kitties don’t care if you’re a CEO or a dishwasher; they value your heart, not your wallet. Felines won’t judge you if you don’t go to the gym; they’d rather have you home, eating while they have a snack too. If you have a bad day at work, your cat still loves you. Cats don’t think any less of you; they will love you as you are. After all, they think so highly of themselves—they couldn’t think less of you.

6) Lastly, cats have taught us that being a cat is wonderful—if they have a wonderful human to love them. But, I would never tell my beloved cats that fact, because THEY are my boss ….Uh, wait, they are meowing for a treat in the kitchen…gotta go…!

remember me??? Its Tucker of course!!!MOL!!! Look how shiny that Moonpie Mobile is!! How is mom doing, speaking of your mom , mine got to see some pictures!!! :) She was wondering who that pretty young lady was....it was your Mom!!! Mom said she never would have guessed your moms age if she hadn't told her!! Its been one thing after another for mom lately with dot being sick and my Gpa went to the hospital last friday with a UTI, but afterwords mom & dad found out it was a whole lot more, he had another stroke and a heart attack too, so its not looking so good for Gpa. How is Zippy doing, Dot was asking...she weighs alot more than our dot, mom says Dot is always going to be a mini kitty at barely 7 #. We hope you all have a pawsome Memeorail Day weekend, moms been eyeing her gardens but have to do it beween raindrops!!!

I'm coming over with burgers and home made french fries and Dove ice cream bars. Hey it's chilly tonight, let's grab our snuggies and put some a few more dogs on the fire. OH did I say that? I am sure I meant logs. I was dreaming of putting smelly beasts in the trash but would I really throw her in the fire? YEP I sure would. Rennie seems fascinated by her and has learned that when mom comes home, it's treat time. The doggies are learning that, too. I hide a lot this week. This morning I got some mom time..

Sorry your mom slept through hockey, it was quite peaceful. We had a double header and won them both. Don't think we will be doing that again Furriday. Jakar is going to give the whole KA team brewskies before the game so we will play sloppy. Mom watched the humans play and she thinks his scheme may just actually work.

Who wants to sing karaoke? Or dance? Let's find the guys and dance. Thanks for the vanilla moonpies and the French vanilla shakes, mucho yummy!

A. Q. Gracie & family! It is a very special day for me, because it took a lot of time and effort for my family to save my life. They had to make arrangements to have me brought up to MI from Cincinnati and then drive all the way to Detroit to pick me up. They did all this because I was too afraid and feral to go to PetSmart to be adopted and I would have been put down if they hadn't agreed to take me. My foster Mom would have been heartbroken, and Mom couldn't bear that or the thought that I would die simply for being scared. So you see, this is a *very* special day for me! The temperature was high 57 & low was 45 this morning, now it's 51 with humidity 83% & wind is 8 MPH SW. Friday's suppose to be Showers & High 59.

♥ I am still sleeping with mom at night down by her feet. I am also feeling good since last night, too!!!!

When she awakened, she had a headache and nothing got done like she wanted. After she took headache pills, she started feeling lots better!!!!

Oh, Gracie, you would not BELIEVE
the stuff Dad tells us when Mom isn't around. He lies to us something awful. Mom goes to brush her teeth at night and leaves me all alone with him in the bedroom, and he starts telling me now Mom is never coming back. Then he says "who will feed the Michael? And who will change his box?" and just about then Mom comes back and says "have you been telling lies to the kitty again?", because I have my worried face on. Did I tell you Dad has a little sadistic streak?

I don't know where Bennie's Mom walked from, I think she did some traveling around when she was young just like your Mom did. Mine SO missed out on all that. And probably on a few other things she doesn't mind missing out on at all, so she's not going to complain too loud.

Oh no! They talked about US??! I have to make sure there were no violations of the family non-disclosure agreements. She didn't tell your Mom that new nickname Dad came up with for me, did she? Oh, whew! I can tell she didn't, because you're not splitting a gut laughing right now. My secret is safe! -- Mike

How are you today.A nice day for us,no storms yet today,hope there are no loud thunder.Got to go out to explore,did not see a grasshopper today,the one I caught must have went and warned all his buddies not to come by Spongies house,hehe!I did chase a butterfly round,round,I could not get it,Oreo jumped up in the air after it and turned a flip right in the air and landed right back on his feet,butterfly got away,mom said she was going to start carrying her camera around here neck!I went to my usual places,mousey bushes,ate grass,explored in the tall grass,nothing in there,did not even see the groundhogs out today,then we went back to the tree that had all the little birdies in it,birds were there flying all around in the tree,I just sat there and watched them,I whisperd so mom could not hear me and said hi little birdies want to fly down and see Spongie,hehe,but they stayed high in the tree,so I just scratched my claws on the tree,shook my paw at them and on I went,ole birdies.Then mom sit down for a few minutes,so I lay in mr.sun besdie her and watched more butterflies fly by,then I just fell over and lay there to rest.Then mom said ok time to go in,I had leaves,twigs stuck all in my fur,mom had to brush me off before we came in, I hissed a little but I came on in.All ok in the house,made all my rounds,ate,went to sit in the windows,then carried mr.inntertube in to see mom when she rested,I hopped up and lay down beside her to rest and ate my treats on the bed,Wicket was on the other side eating his.Early this morning when mom was sleeping I was up wandering around and wacked Baby and she let out a screech,well that woke mom up,she yelled and said Spongie I know that was you,you are not here beside me,she said if I have to get up you are going to get a wack on that furry little behind for getting on Baby,and scaring me like that,Baby came running and hopped on moms tummy,mom gave her a hug,I stuck my head around the door peeking at mom,then I just went and moved the condo way across the floor and went tearing through the house,mom just covered up her head,then I sneaked back and hopped up beside mom and looked at her so sad,she hugged me and I gave her a big kitty kiss on the nose,hehe.So now I'm laying on the toy rug in my sunny spot watching ole grass monster go round,round the house eating all my grass up,I outta open that door and wack it a good one ,but think I will just watch it,hehe.Baby sitting beside mom,Wicket,Missy napping,Cindell looking out the window,pawhugs,Spongie,Gang,Angels.

Wow, what a couple of days!
Q. Cherish took us skydiving yesterday and now today Queen Spunky has us at Seaworld's Aquatica Water Park. There are 50 kajillion water slides and I'm goin' on ALL of 'em. O.J. told me he likes water, so we're gonna see just HOW much he means that. I think we're gonna be ready for some R & R on Pinto Island in a couple of days. Too bad there won't be any to be had because we will be partying our whiskers off for the full moon.

I think Bitsy & Maria were being checked today to make sure they've HAD their big girl surgery. Then they should be able to go to their new home tomorrow unless the vet can't tell. We'll all be waiting to cheer for them when they arrive, hope we don't scare 'em.

Well, it better have been all good what our Moms said about us. Not like we ever do anything BAD, do we??! -- Mallow

We missed you and your family last night at hockey, but we understand your Mom was tired from her fun and busy day. We had a "Luau" theme menu last night and I brought all of you some beautiful flower Leis and some grass skirts. It was a fun night. My Mom is going to check her email for the pictures of the "Lunch Bunch!" It sounds like a wonderful time was had by all.

I'm glad you liked the story about Midnight & Stay Awhile. We wondered about the little kitty too, who had died, but thought at least he got a decent burial.

Mom decided it was time to move the top of the cat carrier back onto the bottom half. She slid it on about ¼ of the way. Whitey & Orangie kept looking at it warily, but both kitties finished eating their breakfast without too much of a problem. Whitey sat with Mom for over an hour, just watching the sun start to rise. Orangie went back to the Igloo to sleep awhile longer. Mom felt progress was made today.

I left a vote with purrs and hugs. Give your Mom and the kitties a big hug for us. Make sure your Mom gets some rest.

CATS’ RULES OF LIFE (Part 2)

CHAIRS AND RUGS:
If you have to throw up, get to a chair quickly. If you cannot manage in time, get to an Oriental rug. If there is no Oriental rug, shag is good. When throwing up on the carpet, make sure you back up so it is as long as a human’s bare foot or expensive clothing.

HAMPERING:
If one of your humans is engaged in some activity and the other is idle, stay with the busy one. This is called "helping," otherwise known as "hampering." Following are the rules for "hampering:"

• When supervising cooking, sit just behind the left heel of the cook. You cannot be seen and thereby stand a better chance of being stepped on and then picked up and comforted.

• For book readers, get in close under the chin, between eyes and book, unless you can lie across the book itself.

5 Tips for a Slimmer, Healthier Cat – (petmd.com)

Being a fat cat might seem cute, but it’s really not good for your feline’s health. If your kitty is a little chubby or beginning to look that way, we have some simple tips to guarantee a slender, healthier version in no time. And best of all, if you keep following these tips, you won't have to spend the big bucks it takes to feed a fat cat!

1. Diets Are Not All Equal
The cat is a strict carnivore. That means a diet mainly consisting of "fillers" (e.g., corn and rice), is just empty calories for kitty. Do a little light reading during your shopping expedition, and start paying attention to the cat food labels. Meat should always be one of the first ingredients. Better quality food means less filler and that means a more svelte cat.

2. Wet vs. Dry Debate
Some people swear by dry food, while others won’t touch it. Ultimately the choice is up to you, but you’ll find more and more experts are leaning towards the wet food end of the argument. Less filler, more water content, and a happier, thinner cat can all be yours.

3. Portion Control
Try not to "free feed" the cat. If the food is left out all day for the kitty to help herself to, then she’ll snack whenever she feels like it -- even when she’s not hungry. Engage the hunter instinct. Leave the food for 15 minutes. If there’s still food in the bowl, put it away in the fridge for dinnertime.

4. Exercise
Play with your cat! Get her to run around and chase string, toy mice, laser lights (cats love them!), balls, and other fun toys. We don’t recommend taking kitty for walks unless she’s the type who enjoys it, though. But just 20 minutes of play a day can make up for it. Not only will this keep kitty from being bored and depressed, but it keeps her mind sharp.

5. No Table Scraps
People food is for people, not cats! Those little morsels are similar to us scarfing down a pizza. So, curtail table scraps from your cat's diet, and those treats designed for cats down to a minimum. But if Princess absolutely cannot go without her treats, try to find healthy options in the natural or holistic section of your pet store.

So there you have it. 5 simple tips to keep your cat in tip-top shape.

my profile pic is at one of our beautiful Florida beaches and i'm spying on the flamingos to see what makes them pink!! don't worry, i can hold my breath under water for a long time!

poor Johnny cat! he must have been in such pain for a long time. thank goodness that is all behind him and he never has to return to that nasty man again. makes me feel even more sorry for Ralphie :(

yep, i really do flush the toilet with my two front paws, i just push down and voila! then if the lid is open i'll stand on the seat and watch the water swirl and sometimes i even wave to the tidybowl man ;) then if mom doesn't catch me i run and get my fuzzy toys to dunk,MOL. that's why unless the pawrents forget the bathroom door is closed because mom's afraid i'll dunk first and THEN FLUSH!!! gotta keep her on her toes, you know,hahahaha!
