Well,mom got up,got ready for work,drove the 37 miles TO work,only to be sent home! Seems the whole plant is without water...WHAT!? There is plenty falling from the sky! Great purformance for end of the year!
First place in the MHL’s Midwest Division will once again be up for grabs tonight when the ORANGE CRUSH visit the KEL’S COOL KATS in the last game of the year.
OC comes into the contest on 12/31/12 on a three-game winning streak, and goaltender MARMALDE ranks near the top of the league with 13 wins. SIMBA continues to pace the team offensively with 14 goals and 30 points, while ANGEL JINXIE (13 goals), DEAN (10 goals) and ANGEL PUMPKIN (10 goals) help balance out the scoring attack. Rookie defenseman RONNIE (22 points) also continues to impress – he is eighth in rookie scoring and fourth in power play assists. The ORANGE CRUSH are the fifth-highest scoring team in the AHL, yet also rank third in penalty minutes.

What a rowdy group!!! Brought a whole new meaning to the Wilds last week! So…wondering where you are and what’s next?? If you peek out the window at the world whizzing past you. you’ll see a LARGE 7 floor glass front building. Now you know exactly where your at-right! Well……where we are is in Cleveland,Ohio. And what you’re gasping and looking at is the one, and only Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!!! Get the cameras ready and get ready to get your rock on!! Just as a reminder, they do have security, so you might not want to “accidentally” walk out wearing any of the exhibits (K.Mike).
The RRHOF is a 150,000 square foot museum consisting of 7 floors, 4 theaters for special films, and just jam packed with exhibits with the entire history of rock. It is dedicated to archiving the history of some of the best-known and most influential artists, producers, engineers and others who have, in some major way, influenced the music industry through the genre of rock music It features rock from the 50’s to current artists. Oh..just you wait til you see Janis Joplin’s painted VW, or Lady Gaga’s dresses.
Keep your eyes open furiends, you never know when you will see one of the past, or up-coming inductees here. Misty the DJ…you should be in your glory. As a special treat for the visiting guests (that would be us) they are allowing you full command of the sound system and DJ both. Get ready to pawty like a rock star my furiends. We will have the entire Hall to ourselves. Cocktails and appetizers will be served on the ground level; a sit down dinner will be served on the first floor entrance level with an amazing view of the harbor and the city. Hello…hello…*tap,tap,tap* Can everyone hear me?? Those of you in the back?? Remember on one of my blogs I mentioned about Sparkles K. and her sidekick,the decapitated tiger?? You’ll be happy to know her mother found a new one for her! Brand spanking new. Sparkles couldn’t WAIT to get it out of the bag and play with it. And, she immediately went for the head, trying to tear it off. Now…who is the lucky kitty rooming with her on the train??

Sooooo…you all want to get wild??? Want to let loose?? We are going to chug, chug to southern Ohio today. We are going to The Wilds. The Wilds is a private wildlife conservation center. It is a spacious 9,154 acres situated on reclaimed coal mine land. It contains over 25 non-native and hundreds of native species. It is the largest animal conservation center for endangered species in North America.

You wonder what we can do there, don’t you. What we CAN’T do is eat the birds or the fish. What we CAN do is choose between a fishing safari, a horseback safari, the sunset safari and, my favorite, a zip line safari!! Oh yes…you can get a flight-seeing adventure soaring over the herds of animals with the zip line safari. Way, WAY up high, squealing with delight, or screaming in terror. Depends how much you like heights. The sunset safari is purrfect for those romantics complete with a romantic dinner and a tour in an open air Jeep. I think the horseback safari is pretty much self explanatory. No riding the zebras. They HATE to be confused with a horse.

SIMBA with nine goals and 21 points.

DEAN (eight goals, 20 points),

ANGEL JINXIE (nine goals, 18 points),

ANDERSON (six goals, 15 points) and

TROUBLE (four goals, 15 points) all saw time with the Blackhawks last season and continue to excel in the AHL.

Rookie RONNIE (four goals, 14 points) is fifth in the league in rookie scoring.

Choo-choo!!! All aboard the Steveland Express!!! Seems like a long time since we were all together. Hope you all spent the time enjoying your furiends and families. We’ll be at our destination in about 2 hours. This fine machine can move like no other. While on our way, please take advantage of our fine dining car, find your rooms, and get a little something, something in your bellies. And I mean little. Today we are going to…wait for it… Cedar Point!!! Now, some may say what the heck is a Cedar Point. Actually, most of you might say that. Let me tell you, you’re in for an amusing time!

Cedar Point is a 364 acre amusement park located on Lake Erie peninsula in Ohio. It opened in 1860, and is the second oldest amusement park in the U.S. It is the only amusement park in the world with 4 roller coasters over 200 feet high. It’s known as the roller coaster capital of the world. Please remember to keep all paws and tails inside until the ride has come to a complete stop….Mallow. But wait! There’s more! (I sound like a commercial now) Cedar Point also has thrill rides, water rides and water park (this ones for you Pig) a kitty land for the kits, and is totally handicapped accessible.

OK, all you thrill seekers and those with a need for speed, we’re off!!! Those who appreciate the more laid back lifestyle; I’ll point you to the more sedate area. Like Dodgem cars or the water rides where you can all get soaked to the bone, and smell like wet cat all day. Fun huh! Or, you can all head out to see the live entertainment department. There are many different live shows at various times throughout the day. Let’s see….. My brochure says there is Snoopy on Ice..mmmmm..a little cold for me. Or there is the Extreme Sports Stadium with live stunt shows, or live singing at the Red Garter Saloon. NOW we’re talking!!! Who wants to Karaoke??? Oh yeah….that’s the ticket!!

Howdy!!! Are you all nice and rested up?? Good!!! Day two at the castle and I’m still lost. SO many hallways!!! I’ll need a GPS unit to find the litter box. Thank goodness for the outside bushes for “emergencies”. Was everyone comfy?? Sleep well?? You know, winter is upon us so if you need extra blankies, just give a yowl.

Today for national cookie cutter week, we all can chip in and make cutout cookies. As always, please be sure to use paw sanitizer first. Make and decorate how many you want to take home to furiends or family, or to simply gobble them all up yourself.
Do you know the history of the cookie cutter?? Well, you will! Its just one of those facts you HAD to know. Dazzle your pawrents with your wealth of info. Ready to take notes??? I have orange crayons and paper for those who need it.

The first cookie cutters were used in Egyptian times. They were ceramic or wooden molds used to make biscuits or bread. Quickly forward to the 16th century and the Queen of England I was famous for making the first gingerbread men. She had them decorated to resemble her guests. The popularity of the gingerbread man increased, forcing the bakers to create molds to expedite the process of cutting them out. By this time, cookie cutters were made out of tin. As Europeans migrated to the United States, so did the cookie cutter. That make you hungry?? I am!! Get full; get ready, because tomorrow we’re taking a little tour. Dress warm!!! The destination IS located in Ohio!!

Greetings from Steveland!
Was great to see you all last night. I KNOW it had to be hard on Mom to be there-I appreciate it!

*Yawn* what a fun night we all had last night!! I thank you all for attending, and staying for the after pawty. This is scary…King Steve. It’s going to take me awhile to get used to walking in all these fancy cloths, no laughing now. Especially the tights. For the longest time I joked with former Kings about their tights, and here I am!! Let me tell you, wasn’t easy to find them in my size either. If you look real close…no, not that close…you’ll see the magic of suspenders. Not only that, they did have to purchase them from the infant girls section of the store to get them to fit me. There will be NO making fun of the ruffles on the behind area. I’ll just walk backwards so you can’t see that.

Where was all this leading to??? Heck if I can remember. Oh yes…this month at the castle. First of all, feel free to stay as long as you like, wherever you want. I’m down with it all and pretty easy to get along with. Actually, it’s pretty lonely if no-one else is around, so this month will be one big pajama pawty! I’m going to plan some trips of areas in Ohio. Don’t groan, believe it or not, there are some sights to see. The Ohio license plate says “The Heart of it All”. Not sure what they mean by all, but we’ll find out.

For today we’ll all just relax and enjoy some spa time and eat til we’re silly. I had a special meal planned for today. One of my fav’s and I hope you all enjoy the make your own pizza bar and dessert go round. It’s a revolving dessert display-pick whatever, and how ever much you want! Its kind of fun to jump up and ride in a circle for awhile. Don’t forget to paw sanitize first!!!

Oh boy...hope mom is feeling better!

Well…this is the last day of the month. The last day of my campaign, and I appreciate your support, time, and patience with me. I have met many, many new and wonderful furiends, and have gotten even closer to old furiends. I hope I completed my mission which was for each and every one of you to reach out and meet someone new and enjoy the great CC community we have. So, who will be the last set of sidekicks for today?? I’ll reach into my Steve bag of tricks,(it’s a big bag, and there are candy wrappers in here too) and I pulled out Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Got to love the Westerns, the heart of all good movies. And, I just LOVE little spurs that jingle jangle! Yoo-hoooo!!!! Cherish! This is for you!!!!!

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid is a 1969 film with Paul Newman playing Butch Cassidy, and Robert Redford playing the Sundance Kid. The film tells the story of two Wild West outlaws as they migrate to Bolivia to outrun the law, and search for a more successful outlaw career.

Butch Cassidy is the clever and talkative leader of the Hole in the Wall Gang. Sundance Kid is his closest companion, and deadly shot. They attempt and succeed at several robberies and elude the law by several clever escapes. They then escape to Bolivia as they view it as a bank robber’s paradise. They soon learn that plan is not a good one, as neither speaks Spanish.

Butch suggests “going straight” and getting a job, but after getting the job, learn going straight is not for them either. They plan a bankroll heist, and at the end, both are seriously wounded, but go down together.

Say what???? It’s the 29th of November?? How did that happen so quickly! There was a lot that has happened this month, and hopefully, more good things to come. We will be welcoming a new COTM candidate Friday at noon. Want to know who it is??? Me too!!!
Hmmm…..wonder what I want to throw out there today. You know, you have all been SO sweet and tolerated me so far, I’ll take it easy on you today. You won’t even have to gag down any dry Pop Tarts today! I’ll throw out the comic of Mutts! I had a request for this from Shelby and family who has their own Moochie a as a furbling-this ones for you all!
Mutts is a daily comic strip created in 1994. (Pay close attention…I’m NOT stuck in the 60’s and 70’s!!!) . It follows the adventures of a dog, Earl, and his sidekick furiend cat, Mooch. The friendship of Mooch and his neighbor Earl focuses on the differences between cats and dogs as pets and friends: Earl is friendly, loves the company of his human companion and likes to play outside; Mooch is often indifferent to his human companions, except for being fed, and prefers to stay inside and play by himself. Both animals frequently express themselves through thought balloons when their owners are present.
Earl is a Jack Russell who lives with Ozzie, his human companion who is a bachelor. They take walks and spend a lot of time together. Earl spends his free time with his furiend Mooch, a black and white house cat who lives next door with his humans Millie and Frank, and a pet fish Sid. See…here we are again with the cat and dog furiends!! There must be something there I’m missing. Once again-luv one another!!!

Morning !!
I’m back! I brought you all something special today-Pop Tarts and juice boxes. Hey, it’s the only breakfast I can make and not ruin. And why a breakfast food you may ask? Because I’m going to bring up a cartoon sidekick today. Everyone knows cartoons and Pop tarts just go together. And what cartoon would that be??? Tweety and Sylvester.
Sylvester, the cat was created in 1945. He was originally designed to resemble a clown, thus his big red nose. Sylvester was later paired with Tweety bird in 1947. Sylvester was portrayed as a jealous house cat attempting to eat Tweety. Tweety’s owner was an elderly woman, Granny, and her bulldog bodyguard was Hector. Together, Tweety and Sylvester did try to solve some mysteries, but all the while, Sylvester still attempted to eat Tweety. The pair does team up from time to time also to defend Granny whenever she becomes threatened.
Hmm…all this talk about birds is making me hungry. Maybe I should have brought chicken instead of Pop Tarts!

Morning !!
Hello, hello!!! It’s getting near the end of November here, and I truly appreciate seeing all of you daily. Your support overwhelms me! It’s been such a fun time (at least for me) and everyone has stepped up to the plate and has extended themselves out to meet new furiends. I love it! I dug around and came up with one of my favorite movies, one that even makes me cry-Pinocchio. Drag out the beanbag chairs and cushions, Kleenex (the soft lotion kind please-I have a sensitive nose) get comfy and here we go!
Pinocchio starts with a lonely toy maker, Geppetto wishes for a real boy. A blue fairy grants his wish by making one of his wooden puppets come to life. Before becoming real, Pinocchio must prove he is worthy, and sets off on many adventures. He is tested with many temptations, but learns how to tell right from wrong. His conscience and sidekick is Jiminy Cricket, who was appointed to be Pinocchio’s conscience by the blue fairy. Jiminy is clever, kind and brave, and will do anything for a friend, even if it is life threatening. He is wise and always optimistic and he is Pinocchio’s best friend, a position he treasures greatly. Makes me want a little cricket of my own!

Hello!!! Got a little surprise for you today! I have my “Kiss the Kook” apron on, and today I’m making you breakfast, or brunch, depends when you roll over and get out of bed. What could compliment each other better than bacon and eggs? Yum-mo!

Bacon and eggs are considered a “full breakfast”, which is a substantial meal served with a variety of side dishes and a beverage. It differs from the phrase continental breakfast which only consists of a beverage, and a pastry or croissant.
The name “bacon and eggs” was popularized by Edward Bernays in the 1920’s. To promote the sales of bacon, he surveyed physicians and reported their recommendation that people eat hearty breakfasts. He touted bacon and eggs as a healthy breakfast.
Ingredients of a full breakfast vary according to tastes from various regions. They are often served with condiments such as ketchup, brown sugar and gravy (Really?? Who uses brown sugar on an egg???) In the United States, it is referred to as a country breakfast, a Sunday breakfast, or a big breakfast.

Goooood Morning!
Greetings!!! I bet by now you’re saying to yourselves “what’s WRONG with Steve”. That comment could have a variety of answers. I mean, I haven’t brought up one BIG obvious group of sidekicks, the Three Stooges. Save the best for last I guess. Kind of keep you going…waiting…sitting on the edge of your seats.
The Three Stooges started out as an American vaudeville and comedy act. They were known as Moe, Larry and Shemp, and then later as Larry, Curly and Moe after Shemp left for a solo career. With Shemp gone, they needed a replacement. Moe suggested his younger brother Jerry, who later became known as Curley after he shaved his head.
The threesome had many movie offers and a TV show. Their type of comedy featured Moe as the straight man, while Larry and Curly constantly interrupted him and diverted his attention. The Three Stooges had made many movies, and we’re featured in TV. They had had many personal problems and discord which in the end became their undoing.
Gosh, who DOESN’T remember seeing an episode of the Three Stooges!

Happy day to you all!!! Thank you for your support. Today is near, and dear to my heart. I’m sure I’ll get all my fellow orangies out there to agree with me. I bring to you…drum roll please… Garfield and Odie!
Garfield is a fuzzy orange tabby cat born in the kitchen of an Italian restaurant. He immediately ate all the pizza and lasagna in sight, thus developing his love of these foods. He first appeared in the comic strips in 1978. He hates any type of work or exertion; he is pessimistic, cynical, sarcastic and obnoxious. He loves to torment his sidekick Odie, a large yellow, drooling dog. Odie is naive, happy, affectionate and unaware of Garfields less than happy nature. Odie is actually smarter than he acts, and uses this front to gain advantage over Garfield. Garfield does show care and concern for Odie at times, and realizes how sad and boring his life would be without him.
Huh…sounds like my dogs. Can’t live with them, can’t live without them!

Morning!
Hope you all had a wonderful holiday!

Greetings!! As always, I just love to hear from you all every day! I appreciate all your support, and your visits. I can’t believe how quickly the month has gone. I’m still all fat and happy from Thanksgiving turkey..how about you?? So sorry to post only on CMR yesterday. Gma had 3 turkeys to cook, and 30 family members coming over. And where we’re we???? No, not at the table eating (should have been) we were all hiding in the basement. Today I’m looking at the sweet furiendship of Gumby and Pokey .

Gumby and Pokey are Claymation figures who we’re designed by Art Clokey. Gumby’s name came from what farmers used to call the dirt roads during rainy season. It was a mixture of dirt with a lot of clay mixed in, and they referred to it as road gumbo. Gumby has his feet on the ground, but his head in the clouds. He focuses on what is good and right, so everything works out in the end, whether it is a triumph, or just a lesson learned.
Gumby’s best pal is a pony named Pokey. Pokey is down to earth and skeptical. The two of them save each other regularly just by being opposites and evening each other out. We all have furiends like that now, don’t we!

***Oh boy….Shadow swug over to give me the goods on his sis Prissy #225729. Prissy has several mousey side kicks that she carries in her mouth around the house. Everyone…and I mean everyone tip-toes around Prissy and her catitude because she bites and scratches. The family actually has a “Beware of Cat” sign posted on their door. Morning !!
Greetings furiends!!! I’m going to detour off the catpaign trail today of side kicks, and I’m going to tell you a little story that many have been asking about. Its Thanksgiving tomorrow, so what the heck, a little feel good story is in order. Many have asked about the picture of the little kit recently posted on my page in my picture section. I would like to introduce you all to Melvin. Say “Hi” to all the kitties Melvin!

Melvin is a very special kitty that recently appeared in our lives. Gma’s son (my Uncle) was driving his delivery truck at work the other week. He saw something up ahead on the highway, which he thought was a rag laying in the road. When he got closer, he saw it was a kitten lying on the double yellow lines. Mind you, this is a VERY busy road. He pulled his truck over and got out to investigate. When he got to the kitten (and almost got hit himself) he saw it was alive. The kitten’s eyes were matted totally shut, it was wet and mewing. He took it into the truck with him, wrapped it in his coat and sweatshirt and put him in a box until work was over. He then took the kitten to our veterinarian. She did an exam and found him to be hypothermic, dehydrated, malnourished, upper respiratory infection and diarrhea. She gave him IV hydration, warmed him up and kept him the night. The vet said he was critical, and would not have made it another night outside. Melvin is now living with my Uncle and his wife. He is on antibiotics, probiotics, and eye ointment and still goes in to the vet to be checked and SQ hydration every other day. As a note, the veterinarian has written off the cost of all his care and all his medications. Melvin is 8 weeks old, and only weighs 1.3 pounds.

As of this Sunday, Melvin is a happy and energetic kit. He stays in the bathroom for now until his diarrhea clears. He runs, pounces, jumps and has an appetite like no other. He is improving daily. This poor little guy has been given another chance at life, and I just know he is one grateful kitty.

I will only be posting my blog on CMR tomorrow for the obvious reason, its Thanksgiving. I hope you all enjoy your day whether it is with family, furiends, eating turkey or going to Taco Bell-who cares!! It’s a day of reflecting on what we are thankful for in our lives. My Gma and I are most grateful for all our furiends we have met on CC. We are all different breeds, colors, different back grounds and fur types, and we STILL are one big supportive, happy CC family. Thank you all for allowing me to share this story with you! I hope you all have a wonderful holiday.

Did you all feel nice and mellow and comforted by the mac and cheese yesterday?? Purrfect! Thank you all so much for your support, it is very comforting to know there are SO many wonderful kitties on CC that stand behind each other. I’m changing direction again and bringing you out of the mellow zone. This one is for you MerryBelle-today is about the band Lynyrd Skynyrd!!

In the summer of 1963, teenage friends formed a band known as The Noble Five. In 1968 they won the local Battle of the Bands, and opened for several big name bands. In 1970 they sought a new name. Several were considered before settling on the name Leonard Skinner in a mocking tribute to their high school physical education teacher who was notorious for his enforcing the schools no long hair policy. One of the band members had previously dropped out of school after being hassled about his long hair. The more distinctive spelling Lynyrd Skynyrd was adopted prior to the release of their first album. The band did develop a friendly relationship with Skinner later on and invited him to concerts, and even featured his picture in their 3rd album. Lynyrd Skynyrd sang southern rock, and was known for songs such as Free Bird, Sweet Home Alabama, and Simple Kind of man. In 1977 while on tour, their plane crashed when it ran out of fuel, and the pilot attempted an emergency landing. Six people we’re killed on impact. The group disbanded shortly afterwards, but have since reformed with 5 major members of the pre-crash band.

**** Today,PD Budd is showing his brotherly love and chatted to me about his furbling Gracie Twinkle Toes #196342. GTT (Gracie Twinkle Toes) has her “baby” she loves on too! If Gracie TT’s mom leaves the house, Gracie TT will drag her baby around for hours mewing for her mom to return. She has even been known to drag her baby thru the cat flap door if it is unlocked. Gracie TT’s mom will often find Gracie TT’s baby on the walkway, in the garden or in the drive way where poor little Gracie TT is sitting, mewing, and waiting for her mom to return. Thank you PD AND Gracie TT for sharing!!! ***

Hello! Back again to thank you for your support and for sharing my day with me. As always, you all have some wonderful experiences a you have shared and I thank you for it! I’m digging into the past again and bringing you two friends, sidekicks who worked together to protect their community. I’m talking about Barney Fife and Sherriff Andy Taylor from Mayberry R.F.D.
Barney Fife was the easy to rattle, cheerful and deluded deputy sheriff to Andy Taylor. He felt himself the expert on everything and anything. Andy knew Barney’s bravado was a cover up for all of Barney’s insecurities and low self confidence. Barney over reacts with panic fear and despair. Barney is often known for blabbing personal and police secrets. In spite of this, Barney is a caring soul and loved by both the town’s people and Andy.

***Busted! Q. Lola #131462 is a toy carrier too! And she told on herself! Lola carries her toys all over her apartment meowing loud. Her fav is a catnip ladybug called Lole.
She carries Lole everywhere, sleeps with her, and sometimes shares and puts her gently on her mom’s pillow at night while she is sleeping. Thanks Lola for sharing with us all! ***

Thanks for the goods on Angel Sassy!!! Get ready to hide from her wrath!!

Greetings!!! Once again, thank you all for hanging in there with me, and for all your support and feedback. I’ve been known to rattle on and on endlessly. Today I’m going to the movie scene again (mainly because I’m stuck in the stinking seat here) ...Shrek and donkey!
Donkey is an annoying, talkative and sensitive friend of and ogre-Shrek. Donkey is happy-go-lucky, always looking at the bright side of situations, and always trying to smooth things over and work them out. Shrek is a loner, an ogre who prefers solitude. Donkey first meets Shrek in the woods after a magical spell is broken and he falls to the ground in Shrek’s part of the woods. Shrek is reluctant to even speak, or be with Donkey until the end of the movie. Things go roughly for the both of them in their quest to find Princess Fiona, and Shrek often refers to Donkey being “forced” on him, until Donkey proves his value and his friendship. Shrek once asked Donkey why he stayed around if he felt Shrek treated him so badly. Donkey’s response??? “Because that’s what friends do, they forgive each other!!!”

***Grab a tissue-Fluffers told me a story about Angel Sherman #35766. Angel Sherman had a pink bear he carried with him, and slept with every night. He kind of “borrowed it” from one of his big sis’s dolls. She would unborrow it, but he still managed to find it! His sweet mom gave it to him on the night before he crossed to the Rainbow Bridge. He grabbed it in his paws and cuddled it as he purred to his furever sleep. That bear is still kept in a special place as a memento of his life. Thank you Fluffers and family for sharing that touching moment. I TOLD you to grab a tissue! ***

Morning All!!
Greetings! Another day, another sidekick to explore. Before I get started, I want you all to get comfortable, have a seat and some popcorn. We’re going to the movies to talk about today’s subject. What could be more purrfect than to talk about the movie Top Gun! All you pilots out there ought to enjoy this one! Pete, Whiskers, Cherish, Thundie, Hot Rod..wouldn’t you all agree???

Top Gun is a 1986 action/drama film. It features many characters, but the main character is Pete “Maverick” Mitchell. Maverick is a young aviator aboard a Navy carrier, U.S.S. Enterprise. He and his partner, his radar intercept officer Nick “Goose” Bradshaw are given a chance to train at Fighter Weapons School. Maverick flies a F14A Tomcat, and flies it somewhat recklessly, pushing it to the limit. Goose, his wingman, is cautious and devoted to his family. The two officers are extremely close friends and effective partners.

Near the end of the movie, Maverick and Goose are on a chase to gain missile lock on their target. Maverick ends up in a spin out that he cannot recover from, forcing him and Goose to eject. Goose ejects into the aircraft canopy, breaking his neck and causing his death. Maverick realizes just how true a friend Goose was…unconditionally. And that, my furiends,is what it is all about-unconditional furiendship.
Lights up! Movie is over. Thanks for spending this time with me. Can anyone help me get out of this movie seat?? Anyone?? This thing accordion folds you up like a taco.

They play a game of stare down for a bit, and Sabrina Anne gently tries to paw the water to wave back, although she’s not real keen on the getting a wet paw part. Let’s give it up for Sabrina Anne and Mr. Fishy!!!! Thank you so much for sharing your cute story with us all. ***

Morning!!
*Whew* the month is half over already, where did the time go??? Time flies when friends have fun! Thank you for your support thus far. It warms my little heart to see you all come by to see me. Where will I lead you today??? Well…
Just sit right back

Yep! Today is about The Skipper and Gilligan! Gilligan’s Island aired from 1965-1967. It is a comic adventure about seven castaways that were shipwrecked on a deserted island some where in the Pacific Ocean. Gilligan was the First Mate who was a naïve and accident prone crewman of the boat S.S. Minnow. The Captain, also known as Skipper was a type of father figure to Gilligan. They had both served in the U.S. Navy prior.
The castaways constantly try to devise ways of leaving the island, or to contact those on the outside. They always failed, usually because of something that Gilligan ruined. This usually resulted in Gilligan saving the others from some fault in their rescue plan. The good thing about the show? They all banned together to try to devise a way to be rescued, and they were all close friends.

The night Angel Red crossed to the Rainbow Bridge; he went over to his furiend Rocky, laid by him and went to furever sleep. *Whew* another misty eyed moment there!!! I see someone in the family is going to be VERY happy!

Hi! Thank you all for your support. Don’t forget to go visit others and make new furiends, or connect with old furiends. That’s what it is all about-sharing the love and furiendship! Group hug!!!! We haven’t done that in awhile. Now, where was I…..? Oh yes, today I’m going to talk about the Rolling Stones! Rock on CC Kitties!! Paws in the air like you just don’t care. I can’t get no…satisfaction…I can’t get nooo…OOPS…sorry. Got carried away.

The Rolling Stones are a British rock band that formed in 1962. The have been acclaimed as the worlds greatest rock and roll band. They were first popular in Europe, and then became successful in North America in the mid-1960’s. Their record sales top over 200 million world wide.

In the early 1950’s, Mick Jagger and Keith Richards were childhood friends and classmates, until their families moved apart. They met again in a train station when Richards and Jagger were both on their way to college classes. They re-established their friendship, and formed the band Pretty Things. They later added other members, and added some R&B into their sound. When interviewed by phone about their new sound, and addition of other members they were asked the new name of the band. This was the birth of the Rolling Stones. There have been many ups, downs and problem all bands face, but this year, 2012, the Rolling Stones have celebrated their 50th anniversary, and still tour.

WOW..no wonder your mom is tired-she so busy!!

Hi furiends!!! Thanks for coming by to see me. Makes me feel all warm, orange and fuzzy inside. And outside too for that matter. So, what are you all in the mood for today?? Hmmm??? Anyone?? Ok, I’ll pick again. Kind of funny being in the driver seat here. Well, I guess I’ll go with Laverne and Shirley. I kind of really like Laverne’s idea with the big “L” on her sweater. Wonder where I can find a scarf with a big “S” on it.

Laverne and Shirley is a sitcom that ran from 1976 to 1983. Wow, that’s a long time. Laverne and Shirley were friends and roommates who worked together in a fictitious Milwaukee brewery called Shotz Brewery.
Laverne was a tough talking tomboy who was raised in Brooklyn., and later moved to Milwaukee with her parents. Laverne is known to be the cynic of the pair. Despite this, she easily gets her feelings hurt.
Shirley is known as the perky and positive one. She tends to be meek, where Laverne is more outspoken and athletic. Shirley isn’t a pushover; she just isn’t as aggressive about it as Laverne. Shirley’s most prized possession is her stuffed cat who sits next to her bed, Boo Boo Kitty.
Laverne and Shirley faced many ups and downs in their weekly show, but were there for each other through it all.

*** Neelix gave up the goods on their furbling Jakar #244301(So did Hedley,but he wanted his name left out of it) . Jakar had a pink fish that he loved as a small kitten. He carried it everywhere, and mom would find it all over the house. It was a shiny pink fish with long fins that Jakar couldn’t resist chewing off (another case of “loved too much”). When its innards became outards, and it was unrecognizable, the pink fish became replaced with a green fish. You guessed it…it just wasn’t the same! Thanks to Hedley and Neelix. Jakar, you’ve just been promoted to sensitive and caring tom status. Good for you! ***

Happy day to you! Thank you for your support during my campaign. It truly means so very, very much to me. A lot of you have noticed and asked about my Superman picture. Queen Lily and her mom did that handsome picture for me. Thank you both!!!

I woke up totally starving and my bellybutton is touching my spine about now, so today’s sidekicks are brought to you by the lovely folks at Hershey’s. I’m bringing you Reese’s Peanut Butter cups!

Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups are a brand of candy made of peanut butter, coated in chocolate. They were created in 1928 by H.B. Reese, who was a dairy farmer and a shipping foreman in the Hershey Company. He was inspired by Hershey, and left the farming business and started his own candy company in the basement of his house, known as H.B. Candy Company. After Reese’s death, the company was sold to Hershey Candy Company.
This loveable little candy has changed size, shapes, and is even available in different flavors of chocolate. My purrsonal favorite is the holiday shapes. I love the pumpkins, trees and hearts. I feel I get more of the yummy peanut butter. Better…not so hungry now! I brought Reese’s cups for all!!! Nom down and enjoy!

Hello, hello!!! Thanks to everyone who stops by to visit. I do enjoy hearing from you all, and I SO appreciate your support. Are you all having fun? I am! Thanks for hanging in here with me. I was inspired by today’s sidekicks by the local news. Yes, the news. It happens from time to time that I do watch it, and not nap through it. They showed the big unveiling of a statue of the super hero who was created right here in Ohio. And that would be none other than Superman!

Today, I will talk about Superman (AKA Clark Kent) and his sidekick, the lovely Lois Lane, who he happens to be in love with. I’m getting the vibe the feeling is mutual.
Superman is a fictional comic book character who was created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster in Cleveland, Ohio in 1932. He first appeared in comic books in 1938. Superman was born on the planet Krypton and rocket to earth by his scientist father moments before Krypton’s destruction. He was discovered By a Kansas farmer and his wife, and raised as Clark Kent. When younger he displayed superhuman abilities, which he resolved to use to benefit mankind.

Clark Kent and Lois Lane worked together at “The Daily Planet “ newspaper as reporters. Lois was a brilliant and ace reporter, yet never did see thru the disguise of Clark Kent as Superman. I could never figure that out. A pair of glasses and a different hairdo can’t possibly change you THAT much! Clark Kent turned into Superman, with superhuman powers to fight crime and protect the city. They eventually fall in love, and in the comic book world, all ends well.

Happy Caturday!!
Howdy and thank you for your votes. Wow,,,time sure does fly when you’re having kitty fun! Speaking of fun, hope you all enjoyed the PB S’more’s yesterday. I love how that ooey, gooey treat makes my teeth and whiskers stick together.
Today, we go to visit Winnie the Pooh and Piglet. Piglet is the skittish and soft spoken friend of Winnie the Pooh. His generosity outweighs his small size. Poor Piglet is afraid of everything, yet he faces the world with his friend Winnie the Pooh. Piglet is Pooh’s sidekick, his wingman. Piglet and Pooh are fictional characters created by A. A. Milne in the 1920’s. They were named after Milne’s son (Christopher) teddy bear. Christopher’s other toys lent their names to other characters in the book. Today might be a better one for you :)

Hello and thank you for your messages and votes! You’re all keeping me on my toes you know, I thank you all for your overwhelming response to my daily blogs, and welcome any comments!
Day 9 and what will it be?? Peanut butter and jelly! So, they aren’t cartoons, or comics, or TV or music groups, but I happen to love PB and J, and I think they are great sidekicks! I’ll have you know its peanut butter lovers month. By now you probably think I’ve lost my mind, or gone loopy. Maybe so. Why not PB and chocolate, like the Reese’s cup, or PB and bananas? For the obvious answer that I like PB and J the best. And not just any jelly, grape jelly. Hold onto your fur furiends…here we go!
PB and J sandwiches originated in North America in the 1900’s. Peanut butter was considered a delicacy, and served in the finest tea rooms in New York. During WW2, it became a favorite with children and soldiers. From there, popularity grew, and with different versions to the loved original form. You all hungry yet?? I have treats for all!!! We can make PB and J S’mores with mini chocolate chips and bananas. Grab a pie iron and join me around the fire.

***Today’s sidekick story comes to us from Dasher about his furbling Sparkles K #199906. Sparkles had a sweet little stuffed tiger with a bell on its tail. Notice I said HAD. Apparently, Sparkles loved it TOO much, and the little tiger is missing his bell on his tail, AND his head (just a minor problem…right?) Maybe someday his head will appear. Sparkles carries her little headless friend everywhere she goes. One never knows where it will show up! Thank you Dasher for sharing this story with us in what I’m sure is an attempt to embarrass little, sweet Sparkles. She has her profile picture with her headless furiend. Morning All!!
I brought you all some donuts and bagels with hot cocoa and catnip tea. I’m not above resorting to bribery to get you to listen to me. So, gather round and eat, chat, relax and today I bring you a group of sidekicks. Take a guess who they are. They go on a great adventure. They are all from totally different backgrounds. They are totally different species. Give up yet??? I’m talking about that classic movie “The Wizard of OZ’. Love that movie, love the ruby slippers! I really wonder how the heck you walk in those things, but they sure are sparkly! Ok…focus now Steve…. Sorry, I just have this thing for bling. Lost my mind for a minute there.
Ahhh yes, the Wizard of Oz. Dorothy, Toto too, the Cowardly Lion (now WHY did they have to make the lion a coward), the Tin Man, and the Scarecrow. They are all a bag of misfits and outcasts, but basically band together, pledge their loyalty to one another, and are awarded for the virtues they seek. The film version was created in 1939 (hey! I got you out of the 60’s!!!). What a wonderful show of all for one, and one for all is exhibited in this movie.
Now, as a special treat, your all invited to my place (don’t worry, Gma is away at work) and we’ll watch the Wizard of Oz movie, eat popcorn and Snocaps, Pixie Stix and M&M’s and enjoy the day. Who wants to sit next to me to cover my eyes when the spooky flying monkeys come out???

Morning All!!
Greetings and thank you for all your support! This is Steve by the way, #206575 in case you’re wondering who is creeping by your pages. My good buddy Toby suggested I get a little saddle for my sidekick DinDin, and make my rounds traveling by piggyback. If you hear the clomping of little hooves, it’s just me! Can I redeem myself today after I mentioned a dog yesterday?? Depends what I’m throwing out there-huh!
Today…I’m going music mel-lowwwww…Simon and Garfunkel. And, you guessed it-they started in the 60’s!!! (I swear I’ll get you all out of this time warp). They are known for such songs as “The Sounds of Silence’’, “Hazy Shade of Winter”, “Bridge over Troubled Water”, and many, many others. Their music was featured in the movie “The Graduate” which further pushed them into the public eye. Simon and Garfunkel actually met in the 50’s when they were both in a school play together in elementary school. They had broken up and reunited several times during their careers.

Goood Morning!!
Just purring along,doing my happy little visits. So far,I haven't encountered the Meow monster!!

Day 6…..still there??? You know…awhile back, a good friend Lady Dolly tried to teach me some manners on a road trip we went on. I think she was reading the Miss Manners book to me in my sleep-the whole subliminal message thing. Hopefully all her hard work has paid off, and you all continue to stop by and visit me. She is a sweet kit, and she and K. Mike are quite the happy couple, so I don’t want to disappoint!! My buddy BeeGee usually whaps me when I get out of line, that’s what furiends are for!
What will it be today?? OK…don’t lynch me for this one…but its Snoopy and Woodstock. Yes, a dog. Guess I mentioned at the beginning I live with two little yappy dogs. **Sigh* It’s true. So, back to Snoopy. Where was I….Oh yes, Snoopy began to befriend birds back in the 60’s (here we go with the 60’s again). The birds stopped and used his doghouse during their migration, as a nesting site, or for a friendly game of cards (I LOVE to play cards). What set Woodstock apart from the other birds is that he attached himself to Snoopy, and they understood each other. Yep,ol Woodstock flew right up and landed on Snoopy’s nose, and the rest is history. Woodstock quickly became Snoopy’s best friend. Even being different species, they could instantly communicate, and became best friends. It’s the differences that make us all connect I guess!

Morning All!!
What a day!!! Hmmm...CC was down again...maybe its not a morning site,it likes to sleep in :)

I’m back! Thank you for your support and patiently listening to my constant chattering. Did I take many of you down memory lane with the Beatles?? Are you wondering what Steve can possibly churn up today?? Yeah, me too. Kidding! Had you for a minute there, didn’t I! Well, today I’m going with the wonderful world of TV, and we’re going to chat about Batman and Robin.
Batman is a 1960’s (what’s with everything in the 60’s) TV series based on the DC comic book character. Batman and his sidekick Robin are two crime-fighting heroes’s who protect Gotham City. It lasted on TV from 1966 to 1968, and has had several movies made since. Together, they have faced many villains such as The Joker, the Penguin, the Riddler, the Catwoman,Mr. Freeze and the Mad Hatter to name a few. I always had a little crush on Catwoman..maybe it was the whole cat thing-MEOW. The story always started with one of the characters committing a crime, and Batman and Robin solving the crime and saving the city. I always purrsonally liked the sayings..”To the bat poles” and “Holy tomato Batman” spoken by Robin. Give credit to the two brave men wearing tights and fighting crime without being laughed at.

Helllllloooooo!!!!!!!!!! It is I, Steve, pouncing by to see you all. Well…you all stuck with me for 4 days now, I’m impressed! Thank you, thank you everyone for the support. I’ll start off with a little hug for you, and a thank you for being my friend. I do have to apologize today, and I won’t be able to make purrsonal visits, and can only post this on CMR. You see…Gma and her whole family are going to the Cleveland Browns football game today. It’s a Christmas gift. Go ahead and laugh, its OK. Any Raven’s fans out there??? Don’t worry…your win is pretty much secure. I tried to get Gma to pass out Vote for Steve buttons, and hold up a sign while she was there…she just stared at me blankly.
Hmmm…today, I will present to you a music group who took the world by storm. They formed in the 1960’s in Liverpool, England. They consisted of John Lennon, Ringo Starr, George Harrison, and Paul McCartney. Drum roll please…The Beatles!!!! Beatlemania rocked the world, and they became known as the “Fab Four”. They are the best selling band in history. The Beatles influence on pop culture is immense. They were unique and original. Unfortunately, all good things come to and end and the band broke up December of 1970. Their list of top songs and contributions to the music world are numerous, it could take me a whole month just to mention them all! But, let it be known at the beginning they were the best of furiends and supported one another. In the words of John Lennon…I get by with a little help from my friends.

Ziggy would charge across the room at angel Pumpkin, and at the last minute, angel Pumpkin would hop up on something. Ziggy tried it with a furbling of angel Pumpkin, Tiger. Somehow Ziggy recognized it wasn’t his friend, and turned away. Thank you angel Pumpkin for that story!

Orange cat power!! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Hello and thank you again in advance for your support! No worries, I won’t ramble on and on about me today. Did I just hear a big sigh of relief?? Yes?? Don’t blame you. Well, today I’m going to start right off with what I said my campaign was about, sidekicks and furiends. Hmmm... who will be the first? I’ll reach into my bag of goodies and today will be…. SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick! Odd to start with him, I know. But I’m an odd cat, and I love cartoons. This one’s for you K. Spongie!!
SpongeBob lives in and underwater city in the Pacific called Bikini Bottom (also known as Downtown). Patrick, the starfish is SpongeBob’s closest buddy, pal, and neighbor. Patrick lives under a colorful rock, while SpongeBob lives in a pineapple. Patrick has a very limited attention span, and his favorite thing to do is catch jellyfish, blow bubbles, eat ice cream and sleep. Who doesn’t love that!!! As SpongeBob’s closest friend, Patrick offers encouragement and advice on their many adventures. They usually get into trouble, but things work out at the end of the episode (it always does) and Patrick is his loyal friend to the end. SpongeBob and Patrick have a definition of fun. “F’ is for friends who do stuff together, “U” is for you and me, “N” is for anywhere, anytime at all down here in the deep blue sea!
