And Surprise COTD on 17 Feb 2011. (The NICE kitties and Zamboo had reserved Monday February 28th for a Kit #199671 campaign...but had the 17th surprise win first.)
Kit won first place Cottonwood Vet Hospital 2010 Halloween Costume Contest for a Shelter Fund-raiser. He was dressed as a giraffe (his dog donated a de-stuffed giraffee soft toy.)
My favorite tricks and treats are: I co star in videos with my dog. I can comb the dog's beard, clear off a chest of drawers of un-necessary clutter, Unpack the dogs toy bin, carry pencils and untie Mom's housecoat. and I love Greenies for Cats
Where I hang out: I have traded Dad's lap for my cat tree (this week anyway.)
My favorite grubs: Purina Pro Choice
My pet peeves: My food dish is not kept full at all times.
What I love about my owners: Grandparents are light on the discipline and heavy on the treats.
My cat hobbies: Tease the dog.
Pet motto: Dad is my Hero, Mom does all my chores and Jarmy, my dog is my entertainment.

How We Met
Kit was an underweight 5 month old with internal parasites and a nasty sneezy cough who came via the Kansas City Kansas Animal Control to a PetSmart adoption room.
Kit was chosen as a therapy cat for our dog Jarmy who has Separation Anxiety. They selected each other when Kit saw Jarmy studying him thorough the cat adoption window. It was love at first sight for Jarmy, Kit and for us. Kit seems pretty happy with the arrangement as he's traded his cage for a room of his own, his life on the streets of the city to "inside" living in the country and a forever family and dog.

Oº°‘¨Where Are You My Friend?¨‘°ºO
I miss you!!
As a new week begins, Mom and all the Buenos Aires kitties get ready to celebrate two important dates: Spring Day and Dad´s, Simba´s & Sally´s birhtdays.
Next Friday 21st Argentina will be welcoming Spring with festivals, picnicks and parties, mostly outdoor.
These events take place each year and they are meant to celebrate the renewal of nature and the creativity of the Human spirit.
It will be a special weekend in our family since we´ll be also celebrating Dad´s, Simba´s & Sally´s birthdays on Saturday 22nd.
We´re helping Mommy to organize a little pawty. We will have pizzas, empanadas, sandwiches and cake with our relatives and friends.
The weather was lovely over the last days with temperatures around +80F. Mom will be taking Friday off work in order to prepare everything for the party.
We´ve heard the kitchen is going to be busy and we are all ready to help Momma to cook.

♥ FRIENDS... ♥
Today 20th of July we´re celebrating "Friends´ Day" in Argentina the way we do every year and we thought we would write a special blog for our friends.
Many of you already know the story you are about to read. It takes place in Spain, where a gorgeous black kitty named Fum and a Tyto Alba owl by the name of Gebra became best friends.
Gebra (from the Catalan "Gebre" which means "Frost") and Fum (which means "Smoke") met each other in May 2010 when they were both one month old and have been together since then.
They became famous by a video their owners uploaded in You Tube last year and was seen by lots of people all over the world.
We think this video is one of the sweetest and most amazing things we have ever seen and it reflects very well the special bond between these two fellows.
The interplay between Fum and Gebra is a lesson of friendship and kindness. Everytime Mom sees them playing in their video she wishes she could see through the eyes of an animal, a cat, a dog, a bird...
Wouldn´t it be great to contemplate the universe and all the living beings on it without any bias? Wouldn´t it be great to enjoy it the way it is?...
Gebra can fly and Fum cannot do that. When Gebra flies he runs through the field and sometimes, Gebra also joind him in a walk, although owls usually don´t take walks.
Some of us (humans) can fly, some other can run, that´s the wonder of the world. We´re all different and yet we are here to love, to share, to give.
Today we´re celebrating our old friends and welcoming our new friends with this message of friendship and love. No act of kindness, no matter how small is ever wasted.

My dearest Kit,
Time has just flown by and Mom seems to not have time to even write for me!! Can you imagine!!! I miss you so much. Know you've been having internet troubles so hope everything is OK with you. Bet your Mom is packing like crazy for their trip. I hope you're helping by hopping in and out of suitcases. I just love to do that even though I know it means Mom is going to be gone.
I've been very busy watching my bird friends - hummingbirds and orioles are back and Mom says, eating her out of house and home. She needs more oranges and has to find a small dish for the grape jelly - they don't like it when it's in the orange rind. Talk about fussy!!
I think about you every day and can't wait to see you again. When the weather gets better we can have another picnic.
Sending you some of my trout treats wrapped in shrimp and missing you.

.~:*:~.Happy Mother´s Day!!.~:*:~.
Hello my dear fiend Kit!! I miss you!!
We´re finally settled down in our new home. Yesterday we got our Internet and phone installed and we´ll be catching up in our blogs over the next days.
We moved on Saturday 5th May. Everything was packed and Mom told us some men were going to come early in the morning to help us with the move. As soon as they arrived they began loading our things in a big truck.
Momma put us inside our carriers and we traveled with her in a cab. Sally meowed during the whole trip.
We like our new place, although I have to confess we were a little bit scared at first.(MOL!) The floors had a strange smell and it took us a couple of hours to get ready to explore the flat.
There is a huge mirror in our living room which occupies an entire wall; I had never seen such a mirror before and something funny happened... I hissed to my own reflection several times!! (Tee-hee!!) Mom had a good laugh.
We´re living in a 12th floor and we´re having fun watching through the window. We haven´t seen any birds yet, but we enjoy watching the cars and buses down the street. There are also lots of pawesome lights and some strange noises too.
We´re more than glad to be back on CC!! We missed you all a lot. We send you a huge bunch of hugs and more kitty kisses than you can ever handle...

Another day, Another week ~ Another shipment of votes MOL! It seems good to have Mom home so we can have special shipments of votes for you! She had a great time with family and friends, but froze her paws off half the time. Brrrrr She's happy to be back in warm and sunny FL!
Upon Mom's return she learned that CC had many sad moments as Angels took their journeys to the Rainbow Bridge. We share in their sad losses and are holding

Hi Sir Kit,
How was your day today? It was 40 degrees and cold here, after near 80 degrees during the week. What on earth happened??? I was just getting used to being in the nice, soft grass and watching the butterflies, bees and birds. This is sure putting a crimp in my style. Hehehe.!!! We are all spending the day watching tv and relaxing. I guess that is ok since being outside is out of the question. We did have a little excitement on Friday. It was nail trimming and Revolution time and we all made Mom run around the house chasing us. It was pretty funny watching her trying to catch us, we are all pretty fast when we need to be. But, Mom did get us eventually and we did our best to make a fuss. Afterward, we got our treats so we forgave her for the harassment. Hehehe.!!! Have a great evening and I will visit again soon. ☼ Friday frolic with the NICE Crew☼
Happy Friday sweet furiends! It’s a very blustery spring day at NICE H.Q. today with a chance of rain later this afternoon & evening.
Zaboo & Trixie have both been very playful today. I knew the day would be wacky when Zaboo swatted at me when we were waiting for our wet food breakfast! I ducked & his paw hit Trixie’s ear so after we ate it was time for her to get even…MOL! She pounced on his head but wasn’t anticipating a counter attack that early in the day. That was her first mistake…MOL! Zaboo quickly turned the tables on our calico cyclone & pinned her down, nibbling playfully at her tummy. She was kicking at him like a rabbit but he was steadfast & didn’t let her up until she meowed. You’d think she’d be upset & leave right? WRONG…not our little cyclone, so that was mistake #2…MOL! Zaboo’s tail poofed & he got the “oh boy this is going to be fun” look in his eyes as the full fledged chase & conquer game began! Trixie may be fast but Zaboo has experience behind him so the game was very interesting as I watched it from the couch. She’d pounce & he’d counterattack each time. Finally she went for the ‘go under the belly & try to flip him over’ move. That ended in disaster for her because that’s the move he’d been waiting for…MOL! He dropped straight down on her & pinned her again, this time chewing her ears. I was curious if she’d keep the game going when he finally let her up. She seriously considered it but Zaboo saw the look in her eyes & chased her out of the kitchen & up the cat tree. Their antics continued there with playful swats but finally Zaboo decided he’d had enough & went to take a nap. Speaking of which…YAWN…it’s time for me to nap too doing my paw by paw commentary…MOL! Oh, my dearest Kit,
I have missed you so much but like your Mom, mine has had some time off. She seems to go from one thing to another - her eyes (OK now), then her strep (all better) and then her teeth (not so good). Chemo still takes its toll on them, along with the meds she's still on. Let's just say, she can only chew on one side of her mouth until something happens and she gets some replacements. But she's better now and has been back to teaching. Today she's in Mason's 1st grade, yesterday was 5th (they were really squirrelly - which means nothing to me since we don't have any squirrels here).
Our weather has just been cold and windy, no snow though - last night and today it's raining but will only get to 49. It won't get into the 50's again till the middle of next week. The two weeks of really wonderful warm weather where my patio door was open and it was 80 out have spoiled everyone here. Actually, last year we had that 17" snowfall yesterday. But, as mom says, this means the kids will have indoor recess!!!
I have been thinking of you since Mom told me about tornados - they sound awful. I'm glad nobody got hurt. I hope our summer isn't full of storms and scary weather. Yesterday we had tornado drills - Mom said her 5th graders were put in a bad place so they need to change that but here at home, I know I have to run fast to the downstairs and get away from the windows. Mom needs to grab Zuki (can't take his big cage) and get him down in a box so he doesn't get scared.
I took good care of Mom while she was down with her teeth problem and slept with my head in her hand all the time so if she moved I could get up with her. I got lots of treats for that.
Mom needs to get going so, my wonderful Kit, I need to say good bye for now.

i'm glad those ol' tornado's missed all of you, too..we did have one touch down 30 miles se of us..mom says we are all in a pretty good spot here..usually all the bad stuff goes north or south...
we liked the basement so much, too..that we wanted to stay there for a while after our pawrents got home..teehee..always good to keep them guessing...

♥ Mom did manage to do all my returns yesterday and off the computer by about 7:00 or so. She came and sat on the couch and I laid next to her all evening. She even fed me without me getting off the couch. Mom momma loves me so much and I love her, too.

Vote P A U L #225583 COTD on April 19
Hello There, my name is Paul, known here on CC as Paul the Orange Tom (page #225583). I have had a page on CC since January 28th, 2011, but our dogs and bird have been a member of their channels since 2009. My late sister Pooky has been on CC since January 2010. My goal is to win my very first Cat Of The Day badge on April 20th, 2012.
Mom does not know my exact age, but she knows that I was born somewhere in 2001. I was found outside of Mom's house in the backyard, looking for a home. I was so glad when Mom found me. She picked me up and I couldn't stop purring. Mom celebrates my birthday on May 12th.
The entire time that Mom has owned me, I have never been very affectionate. I enjoy kneading on Mom and the other family member's stomachs and getting head scritches, but pet me too long and you'll be in for a surprise. I had to be de-clawed when I was younger, because I like to slap you with my front paws when you walk by me.
Mom loves taking photos, and I am her purrfect subject. I look at her when she calls my name and clicks her tongue, and have a very handsome face. I have bright, orange-y brown fur with a white chin and faint stripes all over my body. Mom loves taking photos of me.
Me and my family live on a small homestead, though I am an indoor only cat. We have two adult Holstein cows, with a baby calf on the way (due date 4/19/12). We also have two alpacas, one Toulouse goose, two Khaki Campbell ducks and over 40 chickens. We have three dogs (none of whom I like), one budgie, myself and another kitty named Azlan who lives exclusively upstairs (due to her urinary tract issues).
I very much hope that you will stop by my page on April 19th to paw me a vote and help me recieve my very first COTD badge on April 20th, 2012.

You are very welcome for the catnip chip cookies. They go really well with a vanilla milk shake - yum! My favorite thing to stalk is the elusive roasted chicken breast. I know they roam wild in the kitchen once in awhile, but I usually have to wait for mom to catch one and tear a piece off for me - I guess I'm not much of a mighty hunter! MOL!
