Hello & Welcome to CC!|
My name is Zaboomafoo & I send warm meows of welcome to you! It’s very nice meeting you & we hope you’ll enjoy your time here & will make lots of new furfuriends along the way. If you go to the home page you’ll find all kinds of fun things to do as well as loads of information by hitting the various links or tabs on the page. The University gives you the opportunity to test your feline knowledge & earn a badge for each session that you complete plus there are games & contests under other tabs too.
Do you know how to navigate easily to the pages you want or see mentioned in blogs? Look at the address bar (URL) in your browser. The numbers on the end are your page number. Each page has a different number so all you need to do is erase your 6 digit number, type in the page you want to visit, and then press enter. Wahlah…you should be on the page that you typed in. This makes it much easier to vote for other cats that are running for specific badges throughout the month & will also let you connect with other kitties that are visiting that cat. Another way is by using links. The links are always in blue so to answer someone that blogged to you (or you’ve found an interesting sounding cat you’d like to visit), all you need to do is click on their link to take you to their page. I know it sounds slightly confusing at first but once you get the hang of it you’ll have loads of fun interacting with others in the community.
The CC community is comprised of thousands of pages. Here are some special pages that are frequented by our feline friends:
*Mouse Hockey League (see Dean page #36497 for details)
*Rainbow Bridge Scoop newspaper #63509 (Angel Duckie, Editor, #51627) for kitties who have crossed over.
*CMR Catpaign and Mews Room page #46883 where kitties post their news and the cat of the day campaigns are announced,
*Birthday Central #73341 where you can register your birthday & adoptiversary or see who’s having one.
*Community Directory on page #112364
It’s always great if you can go by & congratulate the daily COTD (cat of the day) winners & vote for the COTM (cat of the month) nominee that’s currently running. This month the nominee is STEVE #206575 so please try to go & meet him & paw him a vote as often as you can. This lets everyone know there’s a new cat in “town” & also let’s you get to know some of the others that romp through each day. CC is a fun place & we hope you enjoy your time here with us.
This is the Zaboo & NICE crew for the CMR welcome committee pawing you a welcome vote & a basket filled with treats, toys & cans of tuna on behalf of our entire family & the CMR crew.

A Long and Gracious Fall by David Budbill
A long and gracious fall this year.
The leaves are down. Gardens: emptied,
manured, tilled, smooth, and waiting.
Mower and tiller serviced and put away.
Smoker put away, as is the summer table.
Prayer flags, windsocks and their poles: down.
Twenty-foot homemade badminton poles,
peace flag at the top of one, store-bought net—all down and put away for another year.
No more outdoor summer chores.
Fall planting — peonies and tiger lilies — done.
Summer flower stalks removed, beds mulched,
a blanket for the cold. Fall pruning done.
Woodshed roof hammered down and sealed again.
Cellar closed. Drive staked and flagged so the
snowplow knows where to go.
What else is there to do? Finally, for once, we are ready for the snow.
Ready now to come inside. Time now for
words and music, poems and shakuhachi.
Time now to light some incense,
sit and stare at candlelight.
