Long time no meow. How are you? Yesterday Amy, my Mom's niece, had to bring something over our house while my Mom was still at work, when she came in she looked for me and I was in the bedroom on the bed. She started talking to me and bent over to touch me and her hair fell on my face so I started playing with it. She told Mom what a difference in me I am still skinny but very alert and playful. She agrees with Mom that I am feeling better. That made my Mom so happy to hear someone else say that I am acting like my old self. Amy said as long as I maintain my weight that would also be good. Just had to tell you that story because Mom holds on to any small thread of hope and now she knows someone else agrees with her. I ate like a little piggy last night and this morning. I was very alert and responsive to what Mom wanted. I went outside last night with Mom and the first thing I went after was a dried leaf. Mom pulled that out of my mouth in a hurry, oh gee wees Mom can't I have any fun, hehhehheh. Thank you for all your prayers Mom feels really happy today because I am acting like myself. I am feeling better today and that makes Mom feel better too. We both got some sleep last night. I am eating again and on my own. Sunday Mom started hand feeding me and that night I went to my food and ate all by myself. I was really good this morning even got into some mischief by going after the couch with my claws. Mom said NO Maggie but I could see the smile on her face. It made her feel good that I am starting to act like myself again. Please keep me in your prayers as we will keep you in ours. I will let you know what Dr. Jeff says on Friday. I go and see him Thursday night and I bet there is nothing wrong with my ear. Mom watches me like a hawk and if something seems off she takes me to Dr. Jeff. He once told my Mom he knew when he gave her medicine for me that I would get it. What a nice weekend we had sunshine and a cool breeze. I went outside with Mom but I don't like the wind so I headed back for the door. Mom laughts at me but I don't care. This weekend I was pawing at my left ear but not a lot and right away Mom calls Amy over and she cleans my ears. She said to Mom that the left one seems tender and I meowed so right away Mom called Dr. Jeff and I have to go and see him Thursday night. Would you believe that. We are soooo happy that you are alright and all the test came back normal. My Mommy worries about me because of my bad kidney. Now I am on fluids three times a week and I have held my own and levels have remained the same. The only thing that really worries my Mom is that I have lost so much weight. We go back to see Dr. Jeff the end of the month and Mom is hoping I remained the same or gained. I always eat but I was never a big eater so we shall see. You take care my furiend and stay save. I hope you are feeling better today. It scares are Mom's when we are sick. I had such a good time Saturday with Mom and Aunt Theresa and all those BOXES!!!! They were so proud of themselves because they did a good job. They threw out stuff and gave stuff away. I suppervised all afternoon and I believe they appreciated my help. Later that day a kitty came to our door and Mom seemed to know who he was. She tried to block my view so I couldn't see him but I did. I got a good look at him too and Mom went and gave him a can of kitty food which he ate all up. Mom is hoping he has a home and he just likes wet food and maybe he doesn't get it at home. She saved one good box just in case he is around this winter Mom said she will put a blanket in it for him so he will stay warm. It is raining and cold today so I am curled up on the bed taking my many kitty catnips until Mom gets home from work. We just saw your blog from 9/16, Mom isn't on as much anymore but she tries to keep up with messages. I am feeling O.K. my last visit was last Friday and all my blood work came back good. I am stable according to Dr. Jeff. The thing that worries my Mom is I keep dropping weight. She wishes see new of something that would make me gain weight. I can only eat my KD and so I can have any treats. Dr. Jeff isn't overly concerned but you know how Mom's are. Worry is their middle name. Hope you are having a great day furiend. Hi. I haven't been around much lately, but though I would try to drop in on all my Cat Channel friends. Hows it going there? Are you doing well? I just turned eight, but am still running and jumping and doing wild kitty things. I attacked the sliding glass door the other night to scare away three raccoons! I don't like them at all! We also have a little orange outdoor cat who comes around every day. I spit at him and growl - lol - but I always look for him so Mom thinks I secretly like him. mol. Hi Moon and Mom
Dr. Jeff just called and said that Maggie's kidney level is the same. Still at level two that is good news. But her blood count dropped 1% and is now at 21. This is the reason she has very little energy and sleeps a lot of the time. Once her blood level hits 20 Dr. Jeff said we can give her blood transfusions which will give her strength and some energy. I am crying because I know what the eventual out come will be. I love my Maggie so much I don't want her to leave me but the day will come and I must be prepared for it. For now I will enjoy her and love her and watch over her. Thank you for all you concern, prayers and love. Please continue to keep Maggie in your prayers that she can enjoy the rest of her life no matter how long it might be. Mom Pat P.S. Maggie will be back tomorrow she is feeling good and eating and drinking. She sleeps a lot now but we will watch her very carefully.Come visit me, Miles & Q. Angel Maggie.

I am still feeling good and eating like a little piggy. Mommy just keeps putting the food in my plate and I eat. This makes her soooo happy. I was a good girl today, I woke Mom up before the noisey thing on the nighstand went off so Mom could get a head start. You know what she did, she pulled me close to her and held on and she fell back to sleep. All that work and she fell back to sleep, go figure. Didn't she know it was time to feed me again!!!! It is hot and humid here today and we are expecting some thunderstorms. It is suppose to be a beautiful weekend so I should get sometime outside with Mom. OMG, I haven't heard from you in such a long time, glad you stopped by. It has been an awful summer so far, very hot and humid. Today is no exception. Lots has been going on, I had been very sick, kidney failure but I am better now better because of my Mom and her niece Amy and all the wonderful kitties and families on CC sending prayers to heaven for me to get well again. Amy comes over everyother day and gives me my fluids. It used to be everyday but Dr. Jeff said to try everyother day and it works. Mom called him today and he said to continue what we are doing and he wants to see me in a month. I am eating, playing and doing all my kitty things again. This makes my Mom sooooo happy. How are you doing today my girlfuriend. My Mom has been trying to catch up on my blogs but I warned her it would be impossible but she means well. Boy is it muggy here today and the rain, boy did it rain wee hours of the morning. Mom did a lot of gardening this past weekend so the plants got a good start with all that rain. How are you doing today my sweet furiend? Guess what, Amy, my Mom's niece, found a baby squirrel the other day and Amy found out that the baby squirrel is a girl and she is two weeks old. She thinks Amy is her mother she always wants Amy to pick her up. When Amy does she cuddles under her arm and falls asleep. She needs baby milk and she eats every 2 to 3 hours. She ate so much yesterday because she hadn't eaten since her Mom left her and as near as Amy can figure out she was alone since Saturday or Sunday. They are not to have nuts at this time and the lettuce Amy gave her she was just sucking the water out of it. She is much happier now. Amy contacted the Wildlife agencies and there are people who actually train baby squirrels to live in the wild on their own. We downloaded the list and Amy is going to see which one will take the baby and then she will have a chance to survive. They are rats with fluffy tails or just great PR, Public Relations, but she is soooo cute that's what Mommy said. I still think she would be a great snack, hehhehheh. It is chilly and raining on and off here in Connecticut and a nasty weekend ahead. That's O.K. Mommy will be home and I will keep her company. We had a quiet weekend nothing much going on but it was chilly. Mom turned the furnance back on because it goes down into the 30's at night. What crazy weather. Hope the summer isn't too hot or rainy this year. Mom is getting the patio and the patio furniture power washed and she bought a new umbella for the patio set. Pretty soon we will spent a lot of time outside on the patio and in the garden. It's still too soon to plant because of the up and down tempertures. Pretty soon Mom and her girlfriend will go plant shopping she has already gotten some seeds. She read an article in Country Garden where you can grow carrots in a big pot so she is going to try baby carrots. I hope she remembers the catnip!!!! Wow, what a difference a day makes, it is beautiful outside sun is shinning but just a little chilly yet. The weatherman said each day it would get warmer so I will get some outside time with my Mom, yeah!!! I have been a very good girl, well maybe, sort of except for this morning when I woke my Mom up around 4:00 a.m. I wanted to eat and then play a little before she had to go to work. Mom kept hugging me close to her so I wouldn't keep pulling on her hair. So I use my paw and put it on her nose. I don't know why she gets so upset, do you. Just looking forward to the next 3 days with Mom and all of the rest of the family. Lots of stuff going on around here just to get ready for that sniffing buddy. What's up with that anyway? Rain, rain go away come again some other day. That is all we are going to have is rain, today, tomorrow and Wednesday morning it is going to stop. Would you believe it!!! The only nice thing about it is the weekend is suppose to be beautiful. Our weekend was very chilly but Saturday my Mom opened the front door to go outside and I came running. She laughted at me and said it was to chilly and I gave her that sweet pretty please look and she let me go outside with her. It was so nice to hear from you, I wondered where you were. My Mom is on Facebook but she isn't that crazy about it, she likes CC much better. My Mom was having trouble with her laptop that she has at home. She didn't like the mouse that is built into the computer she said it was too slow. Well lets put it this way, Mom got her mouse and she gave me a furry mouse. I love it because it smelled of catnip but her mouse didn't smell and it is hard. I don't know why she was so excited over her mouse but I loved mine, hehhehheh. It is so windy here today that when Mom got to work she couldn't even park in the parking lot next to the building because the roof was in the lot. It is still coming down so they asked everyone to park in the big lot across the street so their cars wouldn't get damaged by the falling roof. Wow, I hope everything is O.K. on our roof at home. How are you? We haven't meowed in a while. It's the same old stuff around here, it's cold and now we have more snow. Not a lot of snow but just enough to make it tricky to get to work for Mom this morning. I am getting bored with this winter hope spring comes soon but according to that groundhog we have six more weeks of this stuff. Mom said we are going to get a coastal storm Friday night into Saturday so she is just staying in the house and clean, iron and cook and go shopping on Sunday. She said if she doesn't have to go to work she will stay in. I'm with her and then we can cuddle and watch TV. I kick up a fuss if she doesn't sit down with me on the couch and she knows it. Hope you had a very Merry Christmas we did. I got up early Christmas morning first to eat and then to see what Santa Paws brought me. I got so many toys and I got a beautiful new kitty bed from my sweetheart Wolfie and a kitty blanket that matches. I love my bed but Mom couldn't get me in it but next time.
