Home Grown Cat Nip..... Yes, once again we do have home grown cap nip. There are 2 pots on the back patio that have several healthy plants from last years crop. My brother, Kyle took several healthy plants out of one of the pots and transplanted them into smaller containers - something was eating the cat nip in the other pot. Mom and Dad will be replacing the pots this year so I will have two new pots on the back patio and then Mom wants Dad to sink one or two pots in the ground by her Lilies off the front porch. This is a favorite place for all three of us girls to visit - when we are taken out on to the front porch supervised. I love to walk all the way around the house stopping to watch the birds and any other outdoor friends who are around. I end up at the sliding glass door on the patio where I am let back in. Kyle usually is the one to follow me around the house though he tries to stay out of sight since I like doing it on my own. Calli and Gracie will not go anywhere. They love to roll on the cement and maybe walk around the flower beds that surround the front porch. They are too scared of things to do anything else. We have new neighbors across the street that have 2 dogs that love to bark at everything. If any of us are in one of the windows that face their house or on the front porch, they will sit there and bark their heads off at us. It is very annoying. Well I just had a busy week. There was Father's Day, then Kyle turned 17, and the week ended with Mom & Dad's 10th Anniversary. I love to celebrate which usually means that we will be having tuna or salmon for dinner. Mom buys the salmon in the pouch since they do not have as much sodium at the canned salmon. The girls do not like salmon so it is all mine. Mom will vacuum seal half of the bag so I can have it the next day. It's great to be 17. The Vet says I need all the omega-3 that I can get. Salmon and canned Tuna in water are just was of my parents making sure I will not be having arthritis pain. It is great with the water fountain and the greens - Cat Nip...Hope you all are able to enjoy some cat nip of your own...I highly recommend you ask your parents to plant some home grown for you. Trust me you can harvest all summer long by hanging the cat nip with yarn on a hanger. Once dried it can be put in a container for when there is no fresh growing cat nip outside. It saves a lot of money and is very easy to do...Good Luck and enjoy....SashaCome visit me, Calli, Sasha & Gracie.

My Home Grown Catnip I can't believe what I have to put up with. My bratty sisters Calli and Gracie have two large male cats that have been coming to visit them for over a week now. Everyone thinks it is so cute and fun, but I know the truth. Today when my Mom went out side to harvest a batch of our home grown Catnip my worst fears were correct. It seems the two males cats in addition to their little nightly visits have also been eating my supply of home grown catnip. Mom says she will try to figure out how to protect from the neighborhood cats. I just think that people need to be more responsible. Don't let your cats run free. We are all micro chipped and have collars on. We go outside with the family either on the leash or in the crate on the green grass under the tree. We are never left alone outside. There are too many dogs running free in Coldwater. I just pray there is enough time to grow more catnip for the fall and winter months. I hope everyone is having fun with the sun and great weather we have been having. I will let you all know how it goes with the catnip. SashaCome visit me, Calli, Sasha & Gracie.

Pictures... I really need to get on Dad's case...I think that Calli, Gracie, and I should all have a lot more pictures for people to look at. After all we are the most beautiful girls in the world. At the age of 16 I have been told I look lovely. Besides the rest of you need to see what the two bratty sisters I have really look like. Don't let them fool you. They are evil.....I will talk to Dad tonight....Have a great day and try to sleep in an open window in the sunshine today. Take care. SashaCome visit me, Calli, Sasha & Gracie.

Getting Ready With June being National Preparedness Month, my Mom has been putting together emergency kits for the family. She has almost everything that we could need. Though she is having trouble finding the special boxed water for dogs and cats that has a 5 year shelf life. If anyone knows where she can find some it would be great. The monsters, Calli and Gracie, now have a large crate, cage in the basement that they are kept in so we can get use to each other. Sorry but at 16 I just don't want them to be around me and besides Calli and Gracie always want to play with me and I am a calm cat. I hope that all families are making sure they include emergency kits for their animal family members. My sisters and I will be getting micro chipped this summer. I have to go in for some dental work and since I have trouble with being put under so my Dad is very concerned for me. They will implant the micro chip while I am under for my dental work. The girls will get theirs the next time they go into for their baths. I want to wish everyone a Happy 4th of July. I don't like all the loud noises but I enjoy my family being home with me. Have a safe, healthy, and happy summer. SashaCome visit me, Calli, Sasha & Gracie.

I am doing better..... I just wanted everyone to know that I turned 16 years old on May 10, 2007. I now see the vet every three months to make sure I am healthy. By the way I just had a visit to the vet and I have very good news. When my Mom got the test results back from the vet he told her that I needed to stop taking my oils for my skin disorder, stop taking the pain medication for my arthritis and there was no need for me to keep taking the three supplements my vet had mixed into my wet food at least once a day for age related problems. My labs were perfect. I am at my healthiest in years. I can assert this to two things that I feel it would be very important to share with others so maybe they could have the same benefits. I have had for the past year a water fountain from Cat It that my Mom changes once a week using bottled natural spring water, I have a new self scooping liter box - which really I think is best for Dad but the vet said it was good for me, and the best of them all I have at least three times a month, every Friday in Lent, and of course special events a canned sardine that has been packed in water with no salt added. There are three in a can so Mom gives each of us girls one fish and I get all the water from the can while Gracie and Calli have bottle water added to theirs. It is the natural oils and other benefits from the regular bottle water and natural oils found in the sardines that are curing all of my health issues. I have more energy now and have told Dad that I no longer need the ramp he bought for my over a year ago when my arthritis was bothering me. Now I jump straight up on what every surface I want. Mom says I am also behaving like a kitten. At 16 I think this is a very good compliment. My Vet has now informed other owners of elder cats to install a water fountain and try serving one sardine no salt added packed in water once a week or once every other week. My Grandma thinks I am spoiled. Well I am the first born as my brother will be turning 16 on June 17th. I know of several cats over the age of 10 who now are off most of their medications and moving like 6 month old kittens. Of course you should not do anything until you talk to your vet. But for humans omega-3 oils are recommended and helpful. My vet was surprised that the sardines actually worked better than tuna or salmon for me. My Mom and brother have a very rare liver disorder and my Dad is a doctor so I have the best caring and loving families. By the way Mom has only been able to find these sardines at Wal-Mart. I hope everyone is feel good and have a great summer.Come visit me, Calli, Sasha & Gracie.

My latest run in with my sisters.... I had the unfortunate event of being jumped by my sisters. Gracie was bothering me as usual, so I went to teacher her a lesson when her sister, Calli trying to help defend her sister jumped me from behind and bit me near the base of my tail. I had to go to the vet. It was horrible. They had to shave the area around the base of my tail. I had a drain put in which needed to be cleaned daily, was given antibiotics, and had to wear one of those cones they put on dogs, how degrading. I have never been so upset. I still have not forgiven my sisters. The good part is that the wound healed and my hair has almost grown back. During this time I lost a few pounds and feel better and have more energy than every. For a 15-year-old, soon to be 16-year-old cat, I have been acting like a little kitten lately. Come visit me, Calli, Sasha & Gracie.
