My favorite grubs: What to tell you about Meisha. Well we went to dropped off food supplies at the time we rescued her from the shelter. My Husband heard her as soon as we walked in! A very vocal Siamese. She was returned because she talked too much! Can you image that is what Siamese do!!! Well one day Mom was ordering chinese food on the phone for pick up and Dad was teasing Mom about her order well Meisha climbed up close to the phone and started to meow and voice her opinion on the phone. The man on the phone stated so I got your order and the cat's wants fried rice too! Apparently he speaks cat! When Mom went to pick up the Chinese food, he pointed out that we are the home with the cats that like Chinese. Now every time Mom orders take out Meisha speaks into the phone to place her order too!! Now almost every day Meisha jumps on on counter in kitchen to voice her opinion to every one! Mom enjoys hearing her Meow when she calls Dad to tell him she will be late at work! It makes me feel better!! Meisha and Sly are lovers too! Sly lays on the bed with his arm around his girl Meisha! They also have fights!! He likes to pin her down to floor, Meisha turns around and bites his neck often he "gets scalped" a patch of hair is missing! Yet they always make up!! Thank you for picking Meisha!! She brings fun/excitement to our home!! We are happy she was RETURNED!! Now we have her!!! I won Cat Of The Day 01-08-09

The temperature was high 66 & low was 37 this morning, now it's 62 with humidity 41% & wind is 15 MPH S. Tuesday's suppose to be Showers & High 51.

Thank you old and new friends for the gifts, goodies, treats, balloons, pinatas and flowers. Everything is just pretty! Even the weather wasn't so bad in the afternoon here.
I will be 11 soon, but I stay feeling young as my sweet live-in girlfriend, NeuBee 123633, keeps me that way with her pouncing and playing with me all the time. She also helps keep me warm in the winters with our snuggling in the comfy bed on the patio couch and sometimes it's even my half-sis, Suezee 11528 with us in one bed. Mom thinks it's so cute as NeuBee will lay on top of me and Suezee on freezing nights and or days. MOL!

Many of you have heard your friends talking about Hockey, going to the rink or the arena and wonder what they are talking about. They are talking about Mouse Hockey ! Mouse Hockey was started by Sammy, now Angel Sammy. We play on Sunday, Wednesday and Friday nights at the arena #121409 at 4:30PM PT , 7:30PM ET. How do we play ? Right now there are 10 cat teams. Each of these cat teams is affiliated with a real National Hockey League team. Each cat is assigned to a human player. As the NHL games are played a schedule is made up for the appropriate cats teams. Sometimes we play the human teams. The captain of the home cat team does an edit, that matches the cat player with their human player. We have the appropriate cat penalties too. We even have a team for our pawrents ! I have made up a list of these teams, their affiliate team, the captains and the team page. We have cheerleaders too ! You think you would like to play ? Take a look at the teams. I have listed the team page numbers, check out their rosters. See any of your friends you’d like to be on a team with ? Ask the captain ! BUT also go ask our Commissioner, Casey, on the MHL sign up page #149429.There may be a spot for you on that team or you ma be needed on another team. Do you HAVE to go to every one of your teams games ? No. But you should go to at least one game a week. No captain wants an absentee player. The more active a player you are, the more active player you will be “ assigned “ to. Hi there! My name is Taz. There has been a whole lot of confusion for mom,Gidgit and me. Earlier today,we thought Gidgit was running. But it turns out,she just won last year in November,so I am running!So,you might have already gotten Gidgit's slogan,but now I am running! So,here is my story:Gidgit and I had a nice home when we were just kittens. Plenty of food,and love. All was well until our owner got married. The guy that she married didn't really like us.But,that was our lfe. Then,when they got divorced,Gidgit and I were given to the ex husband who didn't even like us. He kept us for a few weeks,then decided to move to an apartment that didn't allow cats. He took us to a shelter. The lady at the shelter said the shelter was full,but when she heard that Gidgit was a Sphynx,she said she knew someone that might take her. She called mom,and mom called old owner. She was thrilled,cause she had always wanted a Sphynx,but when she heard that I needed a home,and was going to be put down...Now I live a life of luxury. I do whatever I want. I am extrememly spoiled,and I get my own way all the time. I have even gone to a few shows. I got Grand Champion! But,that was a few years ago. Now I am too old for that kind of stuff. TYLENOL CAN KILL YOUR CAT!
Tylenol (acetaminophen) may be used safely by humans but it is a deadly poison when given to cats. Well intentioned owners are unaware of how toxic this drug is to their cat. Ingestion of 20mg of acetaminophen is fatal to most cats - this is equivalent to one regular strength tablet to the average 9-12 lbs cat. Tylenol's toxic effects in cats are due to the devolpment of methemoglobinemia (decrease in the oxygen-carrying capacity of the red blood cells) and Heinz-body hemolytic anemia. The oxygen carring capacity of the red blood cells is impared and the cat dies of metabolic asphyxiation. Getting the ingested Tylenol out of your cat's system by inducing vomiting and rapid medical treatment to reverse the methemoglobinemia is essential. Even with intense medical therapy many cats perrish.
The early signs of acetaminophen poisoning are decreased appetite, vomiting, and drooling. The appearance of blue gums or brown colored mucous membranes appear within a few hours after ingestion and it's caused by methmoglobinemia. Swelling of the face is also commonly seen with this type of poisoning. With more time, the destruction of red blood cells starts and a hemolytic anemia develops.
A grave prognosis is seen when methemoglobenemia and Heinz- body anemia are severe and nonresponsive to appropriate treatment.
Cats that recover generally do not have any long term effects.
Never give anti-inflammatory medications to your cats unless they have been prescribed by your veternarian. If your cat gets into human medication imediately call your veterinarian, emergency vet hospital or call the Pet Poison Helpline @ 1-800-213-6680.
Rapid treatment gives your cat his/her best chance of survival.

I am glad that moma got the cool air into our room, I still wish I could get out though. It just doesn't seem fair. I can play a lot without getting too hot, so it's good. UPDATE: My oldest skin sister is still in the hospital they are trying to decide what to do with the cyst and still keep the pregnancy safe. Next skin sister moved into our house with her daughter until they close on their house and move the first weekend in July. Skin brother doing better with the ankle pain, but does have red streak on leg that they are watching. Sami (my cat mom) is due on sunday and she is HUGE! Hi Meisha
Mom would not let us on for blogging for a few days. She went up to St. Paul, friday late afternoon, to go to her daughters college graduation. Then mom and dad stayed overnight at her house. They did come back Saturday so we did not miss out on our soft food. We have dry food out all the time, but mom gives us soft food once a day - just a little. We all got some extra attention this weekend because when mom and dad came home, so did their daughter, future son-in-law and grandaughter. They had to get their engagement pictures yesterday. They also have to drop off some other papers for the house they are buying. They will be very close to us now, so I'm sure mama will make sure the grandaughter person comes over a lot to play with us. Mama was outside a lot yesterday and we were watching her work through the window. She made sure that all the bird feeders are full so we have lots of birdies to watch! Hope your day is purrfect! Mom, thank you for loving me no matter what I do. Thank you for worrying over me and nursing me when I am sick. Thank you for taking time out of your busy life to play with me. Thank you for taking me to the Vet and buying me special medications, food, treats, toys, furniture, etc. Thank you for not minding a world covered in hair. Thank you for treating me as your child and not an animal to be tolerated. Thank you for keeping my food and water dish clean, fresh and filled. Thank you for keeping my potty clean and fresh. Thank you for cleaning up, without complaint, when I have been sick, coughed up a hairball, or needed help with cleanup when my fur gets too long-you know where. Thank you for not becoming angry when I become a stubborn puss. When we have claws, thank you for tolerating the occasional scratch and supplying us with an alternative to your furniture for which to sharpen our claws. Thank you for sharing your space with me, even when I want the "Lion's" share. Thank you for allowing me to be the "BOSS" with all my demands and desires for which you always come through. Thank you for the many hours you spend giving me a fun life filled with friends for me and you as well here on CC. Thank you for being there through all the ups and down in all my nine lives and most importantly for being there with me to hold my paw as my tired little body gives up the fight and I must leave you to cross over the Rainbow Bridge. Thank all of you for your well wishes and prayers. Hopefully Sally will get better with the latest round of meds. Unfortunately, the memory of how I got to Prancer is firmly etched in my mind right now and is very painful. I carried her down to those dog owners and proceeded to lose it with them. I have never felt such anger. This is a fenced yard and should not have happened. I thought she was safe where she was. I feel so guilty not being able to protect her from such an awful attack. I can't even say how much it hurts. I held her in my arms as she cried in pain. I am going to take a couple of days to try and deal with this. So We will be back to blogging in a day or two. I could have hurt an animal yesterday I was so angry. That isn't good. Pit bulls need to be kept contained. Not running the streets. Please forgive me for rambling. This is very difficult for me. Thank you all for being there for us I couldn't have made it with out everyones support! Thank you so much for voting me COTD and coming by to congratulate me.. We have to keep the party low key though, it is Ash Wednesday. But we are saving all my special treats for thursday. Mom had to work today but we celebrated without her. Tabitha did this amazing pirouette while her tail was chasing her. She always tries to be the life of a party!!! MOL!! We made our own confetti with newspaper and female stuff out of the bathroom cabinet. It was a wonderful time. MOM didn't even get mad. She just wanted to know if we had fun! We all meowed loud that we did!! Thank you all for all the great treats we ate a few but saving some for later too. I have enjoyed my day Thank you all!!! Dad had such a busy weekend,he thought today was sunday. We have rain, 60, and gonna get some frost this week. Missy was asleep in the sink this morn and got wet when dad made coffee. Zippi and Taz pulled down the shower curtain, dad wasnt in the shower at the time but heard the crash. OG was chasing everyone lastnite and following dad around, sitting on him every time he sat on the couch. CRASH, excuse us a sec..Dad gave us a big plastic bowk full of kitty grass, it is now upside down on the floor, Zippi and Taz are chasing again.Situation normal at the cosmic cavern of obsurdity,AKA the Kitty rancho. Gypsy’s favorite foods are Whiskas packs, Friskies Salmon dinner, and cooked chicken. Her motto is “Love your family all that you can, be healthy and happy!” Now 16, Gypsy has pulled through many health issues in her life, and her wonderful family is proud of her for that. Lately, she hasn't been feeling well but has been holding her own.
