Hi Chico
I bet you missed me today, huh???

Well, mom got up today and discovered she had NO INTERNET yet again. Mom is getting real upset with Comcast lately. Then mom got a call to come to a job interview today at 4pm, so she had to leave at 2 to get the 2 busses she needed to get to get there on time.....mom finally got home at 6:45pm, then she had to cook dinner, eat it and feed us...so we are running late tonight.

Mom said she will let everyone know how everythng went...she thinks her interview went really well and they were impressed she was at the same diner for 20 + years...they still had 4 others to interview for the same job, so mom will be sure to let you all know what happens.

We sure had a beautfiul day today...mom left the back door open for us, but she had the steel gate locked up, so we could go outside and not be stuck in the in the house all day...it got to 81* with sunshine all over the place..it is very warm today.

Pretty soon mom will take out her BBQ grill and start BBQing outside again...yummy..outside grilled meat is the best.

Oh good luck to your mom!!! Mom finally put the screens in the windows over the weekend it was so mice to watch those birds & chippies, course a spare bug or two is bad either!!! :) She even let mouse and I go out and run our toes thru the grass for awhile, of course we had to have a test taste too!!! Mom was SO happy that we didn't give her any presents when we got back inside!!! Purrs, Tucker

Thank you for pawing by with such sweet ♫ Happy Adoptiversary ♪ wishes for me. It’s hard to believe that it’s been ❼ years already since Mommy brought me home. I was just six weeks old then.

Mommy & Nana had been feeding my Momcat Phoebe while she was preggers at an abandoned house. You can see a pic of my catmom Phoebe & my siblings Kirby, Riley & Oreo at the bottom of my page. Because I looked so much like my momcat with her pretty blue eyes, Mommy originally thought that I was a girl & she named me Chloe Blue. Silly Mommy! Mommy found my cat mom & 3 siblings wonderful, furrever homes, too.

Mommy didn’t know what MerryBelle and Sissy would think about getting a little brother. Well, MerryBelle liked me & “mothered” me, but Sissy STILL hisses and growls at just the sight of me, even 7 years later. She is just jealous because she is no longer the baby!

Psalm 127:3 says “Children are a gift from the LORD; they are a reward from him.” Mommy believes this, especially since we are her only children.

Mom is again back from Virginia where she is sorting and tossing stuff from her parents' (now her) house. She is always a zombie when she gets back and I spend alot of time just snuggling. Her Dad passed May of 2011 and her Mother May 8 of 2012. But she has to clean out the house to sell it.
Sounds like things are going well for your Mom. Quitting smoking is a great idea. Every day smoke free is a cause for celebration.
So snowtime should be over for you guys. It was 90 here today and will be almost that hot all week. Way too early and our grass on the hills are turning brown already. We could use a couple more rains but may not happen. Mm hoped to get some windows cleaned before it got too hot. Oh well,, good to hear from you, your furriend, Casey

Oh my...we have boomers outside right now. We started out a bit chilly this morning, then it cleared up, the sun came out and it got to the 63*, and bnow it is raining and thundering. My poor ears.

Mom kinda finished the yard and her porch today. She did not put a tablecloth on the table or did she put out the grill, but she got all her little ornaments out, and she will buy what flowers she can to plant this Spring.

We had a nice day outside, even Louie, the neighbors cat got to come out with us, we rolled on the ground and chased bugs and watched the birds.

Thank you for all your support and coming by to leave me a votey. You are all the best and I’m blessed that you take time out of your busy day to see me.
Ok some of you might have not like that fact that the show kitties get a bath. They get primped and blown dry. It can be scary. I know one day mom got out her hair dryer and I didn’t like the noise. I just watched mom and didn’t like her pointing the thing at me. My next show a judge told mom she should blow dry me after a bath so I can fluff up like a Persian. Mom said I don’t like a blow dryer but maybe if she finds a quiet blow dryer. I guess I will be getting a blow dryer. SIGH! I’ll see if I like it but I think mom is just throwing her money away. I don’t want to look like a Persian, if I did I would be a Persian. MOL
I don’t mind a bath. I have been real good for the groomer and now that mommy works again she gives me a bath. I do well for her too. I guess I shouldn’t have jumped in mom’s tub when it was full of water and swam a little before getting out. It just blew my cover liking water. One of my furriends mom gave a sample of shampoo she has for mom to try on me. It brings out the white in my furr. Mom used it on me for my last show. I did look shiny and pretty. I hope mom doesn’t find out. She might try it on me before I’m scheduled for another show.
Even after a bath, I’m a mama’s girl. I love to be close to mom. Even when she takes me to a show, after I come home use my litter box and eat, I go lay by mom. I guess I’m not to mad at her for dragging me to the shows.
Have a catriffic day. Get lots of mom and dad time.

Thank you for all your support. I really appreciate you hitting my votey button every day. It makes me so happy to see all you come by and meow to me.
I had told you of the two upcoming shows on the schedule so fair for the 2012-2013 season. Now the only shows scheduled for the 2013-2014 season are. Oct 5 Palm Springs and Dec 28-29 in Las Vegas Riviera Hotel. I know someday I’ll go to Las Vegas. I wonder if I’m old enough to gamble. Kitty needs more toys. MOL Shows are still being scheduled so that is why mom always tries to stay on top of it. OK sometimes she misses a show. Silly mommy.
In case you were wondering, the cage size is usually 36 inches wide, 24 inches deep and 27 inches high. One cat or two kittens are allowed per cage. Some shows have a “double cages” which are partitioned into two single cages. In this arrangement a single cage is 26 inches wide, 22 inches deep and 22 inches high. A double cage (extra charge) is 54 inches wide, 22 inches deep and 22 inches high. No more than one cat or two kittens may be benched in the same cage.
The cage covers must cover two sides and back. It is recommended that the top and bottom is covered as well.
The covering for the cage is to prevent your cat from seeing its neighbors. People who show regularly have spectacular curtains and decorations for their cages. I have a towel for my bottom of the cage but sometimes I just use an extra curtain to make my area extra fancy. MOL

How are you? I am alright. Just doing a whole lot of napping today. It has been raining on and off {mostly on} all day long. Thunder/lightening are also out there. Our Tigers?Bluejays game was postponed due to rain. We won yesterday 7/3.

Mom is very happy today. One of her co-workers came by to visit her and she was so happy to see an actual person. Mom has not seen anyone in awhile, so she was missing that human contact.

They went out to lunch and they filled out an application for jobs, and then went to Kroger for kitty litter and Pepsi, so mom did a complete 180 today. She was all sad and lonely and feeling *blue*, so we are so happy she finally got out and saw someone.

Kelsee did her edit for the games tonight, so that is done. Good to get them out of the way!

Day 3
Thank you for supporting me and pushing my votey button. I appreciate you stopping by to visit me. Thank you for putting me in your taglines too.
My first show was only 45 minutes away. I went to the groomer and was very good for Miss Bobbi. She gave me a bath and did my nails two days before the show.
Mom had to go and get a couple yards of material for my curtains and she was a yard short. MOL I have a benching cage I stay in while waiting to be judge. I need my curtains up so we don’t see the other kitties. I have a litter box that I don’t use, mom has food and water for me that I don’t eat or drink and my kitty bed with some toys. I do lay in my kitty bed. Don’t worry, it is normal for some kitties not to use the litter box, eat or drink during the show. Only my furriends that have been going to shows for years and to most of the shows eat and use the litter box. I do love my benching cage. When mom gets it ready then takes me out I jump into my cage. It’s safe in there. I also have another cage, it’s called the judges cage. It’s up by the judge. Mom has to listen for them to call the household pets and my number. I then go and get in the cage with my number on top and wait for the judge to get me out. Mom was nervous how I would react to my first judge but I just let him hold me and look at me. Mom didn’t get a picture because she was watching to make sure I didn’t take off. MOL
I was real nervous. The Del Mar show is very loud and there are so many people there to watch us. Yes, most of the people watch the Household pets. We always have the largest crowds watching us. Each judge is different. Household Pets do not have standards like the pure breeds. We do have to be at least 4 months old, not declawed, in good health with no evidence of fleas, ear mites, etc. Cats 8 months of age or older must be spayed/neutered. Nails should be clipped on all four paws before leaving for the show. HHP’s are judged on condition (general good health), uniqueness, temperament, and grooming. Most people bathe their pet one to two days before the show. The judges loved the household pets because it’s judges choice on who wins. I have one judge that has given me a rosette twice. He always says he picks the cats he would like to take home. I guess I’m real special. MOL

See, I made it on my day. Mom had to get Jesse and me both the same day. But that is OK....Jesse thinks his friends will understand it!

Mom let us go on the back porch today. The sun is kinda warm, even though the air is cold. We come in and go out as we pleaae as mom leaves the door open a cat-crack.<MOL>

Mom came home from the Unemployment Office yesterday and did what she had to do on the computer, then she turned it off and laid down and fell asleep and sl;ept all afternoon til 8:45pm..woke up, had a bite to eat, and went to bed at 9;30pm and slept all night after sleeping all afternoon and she woke up at 10am today...mom said is ready to lay back down and take a nap...mom has no energy and all she wants to do is sleep.

Mom mad jello today and Kelsee wanted to see what it was, so mom let her sniff it and Kel ran off...what a silly girl.

It is getting a bit warmer out.it was 28* when we got up and now it is 38*, it went up 10* so far, but the air is cold.

How was your Easter? Ours was “eggstra” special because The Easter Bunny came to see us. He brought us a Kong catnip carrot kicking toy & two Yeowww catnip carrots. Sissy kinda likes the Kong toy, but MerryBelle & I were not too impressed!

We are excited because yesterday was Opening Day for Major League Baseball. As most of you know by now, we are HUGE Chicago Cubs fans. Hope springs eternal on Opening Day each season but we foresee another dismal season for our beloved Cubbies even though they did win yesterday.

i meowed out Loud with the story of Shadow hiding under the covers on the new king bed and no one knew where he was. That is funny. Bella and I pretty much sleep out in the open. But Brother Tucker hides on window sills that are out of the way, in clothes armoires and in linen closets. Sometimes mom has panicked too, thinking he somehow got out. We can just imagine Tucker in his hidey hole, laughing at her. TIMMY

Casey here. It was so good to hear from you. My secretary has been nelilgent on several fronts as she is leaving to go back to the Virginia house tomorrow, and seems really disorganized. Her Dad passed away May 2011, and her Mother unexpectedly died May of 2012. Mom is an only child so everything has fallen into her lap, and I end up at Miss Kitty's Inn more than I would like.
But she is making progress in sifting through stuff and her emotions.
So welcome back and come visit MHL when you have time. We are rocking this year.

How are you today? I am doing alright. It is very cold today, never even made it out of the 20's. We topped out at 28* for a high! How's that for having 62* on Sunday?

Today is moms lazy day too...well not really, she got up at 10:30am and she cleaned the house, she swept, susted, wiped things down, washed walls where we play and get them dirty, cleaned litter boxes, mopped and to top it all off, when she was done with everythig else, she had the nerve to bring out that floor monster...can you believe that?

Kelsee is hosting tonight at MHL, so she was preparing herself for that. Has everything she needs and she thinks she might be ready. She is ervous and afraid the kitties will laugh at her if she makes a mistake. Oh dear, she is biting her paws with nerves...this will be her very 1st time hosting...good thing KCK has no game tonight.

Mom was trying to book a vacation in Port Huron, but right ow it is kinda early to think about that. She might be back working in July and maybe can't go, but she hopes she can go anyway.

Today it was 47 here. Mom saidit was wonderful, too bad she had to work. When she came home I was the only one who greeted her. Bella and Tucker were still in bed, and they STILL ARE! Mom had to go check on them and make sure they were all right. Tonite it is supposed to get colder again. We love it because the warmth has brought all kinds of birds to our feeders and I can watch them all day. TIMMY

How's it goin today? We have an overcast day outside. Mom was gonna go for a walk and then decided not to as it is chilly and looks like rain. Too warm to snow, we are at 37* right now, it was 40* earlier, but it dropped a bit.

We wanted to go outside, but mom said "No, not today guys, it's too chilly and wet"...all the snow is melting and there are puddles all over the yard. Oh well...mom said we hate wet paws anyway..maybe she's right.

Mom is not too sure she enjoys being off work so much. She is bored to tears. Mom said she feels like crying cause she is so bored with nothing to do. Poor moom, she was working for 20 years and now nothing, she isn't used to just sitting in the house with nothing to do.

We told her we would go to work as Kitty Models and make lots lots of money for her, she laughed and said we make enough money playing on the MHL...<MOL>.

Mom enjoys using her Skype when she gets a chance to be online with it. She has 2 friends who use it right now.

We are waiting for Spring..that way mom will be busier with planting her garden and cleaning the yard and such. We enjoy being outside and mom loves to plant and take care of her flowers.

The team is going along...what else can I say? We are in last place in the East. We lose more then we win...not very good this season. I heard it say that the golaies are gonna start pawsmacking me if I do not stay out their nets...MOL.

How are you today? I am good. I have been helping mom clean the house. She was trying to make her bed and it looked like she needed help, so I jumped on the bed and proceeded to help her by jumping in the middle of the sheets and chasing them, then she tried to pull the quilt up and I pounced on that as well and laid in the middle of it and mom put me on the floor so she could pull it up over her pillows and I pounced on it again...mom just shook her head...hey I was only helping! She told me I did a good job!

We have warm weather today, so all that snow from yesterday is melting already and now it is all slushy and wet out there, puddles everywhere. Mom said it is a big mess. We were almost 40* today.

All the kids got a day off school, but we do not understand why cause we oly got 3" of sow to begin with, mom said she went to school in 6" of snow and had to walk, kids these days take busses...they are wimpy kids.

Our team is in LAST place in the East. Can you believe that? Last??? Wanna come back??? We won our last game 5/2 and I had a hatrick...yay me!!!

How are you today?? I am a bit frazzled over here...my fur is all ruffled up...mom was picking me up {I hate being picked up and held}, so I held my paws out and pushed mom away, so she put me on her back and I sat there for like 5 minutes, an eternity for mom, or so she said...then I finally got off and now mom said I gave her a backache....let me ask you? Who put me there in the 1st place? backache my fuzzy butt, I don't weigh that much..do you think mom is saying I am a fat boy?

OK..it is frigid outside today and I mean cold, bitter cold...we only got to about 20* and it never got warmer...goodness..where is Spring at anyway? I want to go outside in the sun and watch the birds.

We are on our way to MHL, and let me tell you, I sure my team wins as I am tired of losing so may games and I know Kels is too. Our NHL teams suck dirt lately.

Well, I am off to attack another one of those long shoelaces mom gave me to play with yesterday, they are fun to play with...do you play with shoelaces? I drag it around the house, pounce on it, chew on it and then lay on it and roll around...mom laughs at me.

How can I furget a fellow TIM??? I just hope we win tonight. Nice to have you back on CC...was wonderin what happened to some of our dearest friends lately.

Pizza biz is alright...I now cater to cat pawties on CC and I take Pizza to the rink as well.

Well, I'm off to Hockey now, wish my team luck!

Hi all kitties. Well here we are to continue this hillbilly way article on moonshine

HOW THE BESTOF THE BEST WAS MADE

For this section, two men who are reputed to have made some of the best to come out of Georgia tell how they did it

Go to the wood and find a good place. Make a mudhole which contains plenty of good thick red clay for use in the furnace. Also construct any water lines needed for the flake stand
Choose the corn. Do not use a hybrid or yellow corn. Use a good fresh pure white corn which will produce about 3 quarts of whiskey per bushel. Get nine and a half bushels.
Put at least a bushel and half of corn aside to sprout
In winter, put this corn in a barrell or tub, add warm water, and leave it for 24 hours. Then drain it and move it to the sprouting tub. Cover it with pretty warm water, leave it for 15 minutes and drain the water off. Put the tub close to a stove and turn the cold side to the stove at least once a day and so on
In summer simply put the corn out in the sun in tow sacks and sprinkle warm water over them once a day and flip the sacks over.
Take the remainder 8 bushels of corn to be ground up. Take this meal to the woods the last 3 or 4 days should have been spent building the furnace and installing the still. Build a fire under the still. Fill it nearly full with water and stir in a half bushel of corn meal. When it comes to a boil, let it bubble for 35 to 40 minutes. Cook it wll or it will puke too much when cooking later. When it has cooked sufficiently, bring one of the barrels over. Put it under the slop arm of the still, push in the plug stick and let the contents of the still fill the barrel. Add a gallon of yet uncooked meal and let the hot contents of the barrel cook it alone. Make sure it is stirred in well. Move the barrel aside and repeat the whole process until all the meal is cooked, and all 7 barrels are filled. Go home.
