I am an American Shorthair from Lebanon, PA

Nicknames: Squeak; Gingy Pooh

Age: 27 years old

Gender: F

Coat: short haired

Education: Is living a very long life!On september 26th her life ended gently with a meow and then fell to sleep and joined God in the next step of her life.

My favorite tricks and treats are: I play with my new friends in heaven. and Catnip will always be my favorite.

Where I hang out: My favorite spot is on my favorite blanket that mom gave to me before I entered heaven.

My favorite grubs: Now that I have passed on to a better place, I am able to eat what I want. Not having to worry about getting sick from my kidney condition anymore opens the door on what I can eat.

My pet peeves: When I meow at the top of my lungs and no one comes running when I want.

What I love about my owners: She accomodated to my every need. She gave me my seizure medicine and put ointment in my eye. Now Ginger does not have to worry about medicine because she is in a better place that she does not have any medical problems. Thank you God!

My cat hobbies: Curl up in a basket that has a soft fleece lining with a microwavable heating pad.

How We Met

My husband and I were shopping in the mall and we saw the Humane Society had cats for adoption. Being the cat lovers we are, we decided to look. We already had two cats that were 2 years old. Looking at all of the cats, brought out our wanting another cat. Ginger was 13 years old, but so loving. She rubbed up against the cage with sad eyes and then meowed at us. We thought long and hard because of her being so old. We came to the conclusion that despite how long we have her it will be better than her living in a cage. My husband and signed the paperwork and asked them to keep her until we picked up a few things in the mall. We went to do more shopping and three other people came and asked to adopt her. I said to my husband that this was meant to be. We saved another cat from being homeless. Ginger gave us many delightful years that will never be forgotten.
