The temperature was high 47 & low was 36 this morning, now it's 45 feels like 41 with humidity 86% & wind is 7 MPH. Tuesday's suppose to be AM Showers & 53.
What an HONOR to be the first ALL BLACK kitty in February to receive my COTD Badge on 2/08/2010. I dedicate my second Badge in HONOR of "ALL BLACK CAT MONTH". This is such a wonderful AWARD to all of us black kitties since we are considered to be "Bad Luck" among other reasons also that we're a boring color. We have three all black kitties in our family.

what a shock to find Timmy making COTD again. Wait until I tell him. Everyone, this is C&P. Timmy is in the hospital again. Had a really bad time this morning and I was able to get him in, they needed me to leave him there. They called me and said they had not been able to do an exam due to him being the most traumatized they had ever seen. He actually got loose from them and they had to try and catch him, he peed and had the "BIG D" and his eyes rolled up. They needed permission to sedate him. Natually I gave them permission. I just called them back and they said he had a very purulent discharge from way deep in inner ear that they have cultured. They wanted to know if they could keep him overnite to x-ray and check his skull also. Just wanted everyone to know what is happening. Please PRAY for Timmy that things aren't as bad as they seem. Me and mommy….oops, I’m still learning my grammar…I mean, Mommy and I are just soooo excited about being voted COTD.
We did not know that we were in the running for this honor; because we have been too busy getting acquainted and I’ve been too busy training both my mommy and my daddy since I arrived on Friday. Gosh, I didn’t know how much work I would have to do to get them trained. They are definitely a work in progress and I think I’ve got a lot of work for such a little kitty. However, they are so enthusiastic about taking care of me, so I’ll give it my best shot. (That’s what good kitties do, huh?)
Where was I? Oh yeah, I was explaining about my mommy being so naïve about the voting stuff on here. She has always tried to vote for the kitties that leave messages for me and support the ones who ask for votes. And….my mommy loves to look at the kitty pictures and write notes to the ones she thinks are so special. We thought (from what little she read about the voting stuff) that kitties had to be on the Cat Channel for 2 months before they were eligible for such honors. See? I told you she was completely clueless!
However, she is sooooo happy and sooooo excited about my new badge and she wants to thank everyone who helped me get this beautiful badge.
We are going to try to visit everyone who supported me and thank each of you personally. If we miss someone, it is completely unintentional….it’s just because we can’t find the names!
Thanks again, friends. I’ve got to talk to my new mommy about those stupid little cat collars she likes so much. I’m just not a cat collar girl, and she just has to understand that. :)
P.S. The pretty kitty at the bottom of my page is my mommy and daddy's first kitty, Lucy. She was a ragdoll rescue that they had before me. Lucy had cancer and she passed over to the rainbow bridge on August 23, 2009. She was almost 9 years old and was the first and only kitty before I came. Howdy Murphy & Furiends!
I don’t know if there’s a way to say “Thank You!” enough to express the way I feel today. I am very grateful to all of you who took the time to vote for me. I’ve had so many compliments and treats given to me, that I’m truly overwhelmed by it all. I never expected this day would happen for me. Wow! I can’t believe a little kitty from a barn in West Virginia has grown up to be Cat of the Day! WOO HOO!! Mommy always said I could grow up to be anything I wanted to be…except a giraffe.

I woke up at 5:00 AM and was so surprised to see the shinny badge and my name as COTD!! I blinked my eyes and it was still there! It is 59 F going up to 70 F today.We had scary thunderstorms & heavy rains last night..I hid under the bed...I am heading up to Pittsburgh for our MHL game practice for our big game Wed night..Wish us luck!..Cats spend about 5 hrs a day grooming but they may groom as a reaction to anxiety..Licking their fur calms them...SNUGGLES MOM.. #124534..Her biopsy came back benign . Mom is so relieved .. CHAMPARONEE'S MOM.. #121020..She got knee drained & she has to keep a eye on it...RHOAMIN # 2921..sees Dr. Mindy at 10:15 AM (PDT) today. She thinks I'm having probs with my anxiety...GIN GIN #.12433..Dad went for a breathing treatment , then to see another dr for his other condition. My reg vet is out of town, and Mom is working with another vet about my , potty condition. Mom is much better...ROCKY & JEWEL'S.COLLIE SISTER SADIE.#75450. (D C 68224).. vet said it's the same bacteria as before that was causing diarrhea (clostridium perfringens enterotoxin)..She said to finish all meds & see how she does. If the diarrhea comes back she may need meds for a prolonged period of time.. TUXIE #41929..she may have had an abscess in mouth..On new antibiotic..TAFFIE #27315..Mom found mass to her L side involving her nipple(mammary gland). - is having surgery Wed to remove it.. chest xray day of surgery to make sure it has not spread to her lungs..CASPER TODD #6451..am feeling a little better. am getting “feisty” with Mom & Nana when they try to keep me from scratching. Believe it or not, I do look better than I did. I go to Dr. William for my 2nd skin treatment today. We are hoping to see a big improvement after this treatment ..DUMBO'S DAD #3463...back wound seems to be healing, dad says it itches but doesn't really hurt; dad caught some kind of bug and has been living in the potty all weekend; that and taking chewable immodium..QUINCY'S GRANDPA #.28159... is home but he is so very weak. He has a hard time walking. Mom took him to another one of his heart drs - they changed his meds again...DUTCHESS's GRAMMY #112599..Her hair is falling out and she is quite upset. She has wigs and scarves and thought she'd be able to handle it, but she isn't handling it well at all. She has only had one chemo treatment...we have 6 mos of this...DANNY LION..#30356..HIS SIBLING TOODLES...new puppy & she was spayed on 21st. - Vet glued her incision, which didn't stay glued for long -they put in STAPLES : -had donut collar and mom make her pj's trying to keep her from attacking staples. Thank you so much for voting me COTD and coming by to congratulate me.. We have to keep the party low key though, it is Ash Wednesday. But we are saving all my special treats for thursday. Mom had to work today but we celebrated without her. Tabitha did this amazing pirouette while her tail was chasing her. She always tries to be the life of a party!!! MOL!! We made our own confetti with newspaper and female stuff out of the bathroom cabinet. It was a wonderful time. MOM didn't even get mad. She just wanted to know if we had fun! I owe special Thankx to Catpaign Crew 46883; Simba 16612; Princess Lee 4817 as well as her sister Clover and also Green Mountain Gang for spreading the mews and their paws getting sore doing it. Also, a Big Thankx to Picatso 42926 for creating the beautiful VOTE FOR COTD & COTD photos. I could not have gotten this without the help of old and new furiends. I celebrated on vote day as I caught and had "Squirrel Sushi", and I would not share it not even with mom. MOL!!! I growled at mom when she tried to reach for it as it's mine, so I had a yummy dinner. Mom took a picture of me and my kill and posted it. Be careful when you look as you may get squirmish tummies for those who don't get the best delicatsy in life. MOL!!! Levi's life started out in a garbage bag on the side of the road in Waco, Texas: when Fuzzy Friends Shelter took him in and introduced him and his brother Judah to his new Mom! Sadly, brother Judah crossed the Rainbow Bridge two months later from FIP and made Levi, and his Mom very sad. Levi adores sleeping on the baby grand, or in his fleecy bed and where he continues to play with brother Judah nightly in his dreams. Although he has other siblings, when a litter of kittens were born at a neighbor's house, Mom knew right away when she met spunky little Lincoln that he was the purrfect buddy and playmate for a grieving Levi!! He is such a happy boy now, the only thing that would put an even bigger smile on on his face is to see his CoTD badge on his page Sunday morning. This beautiful member of the Maine Gang went through a lot before she was adopted into her loving fur-ever home. Mitzy was one of 175 neglected Bengals found in a home, when she was rescued by her Mommy. She continues to battle chronic anxiety and issues with shyness due to surviving all the trauma and abuse. Do you want to know how to get Mitzy out of her "shell"? One word...SUSHI! That's right...she loves all kinds of food, but her favorite is sushi. But whatever you do, don't even try to cut her nails. They gratefully accepted, and once inside, decided they wanted to stay furrever! The kitten Kimsel grew up in a loving household with lots of things to get into! One of her favorite adventures is to jump to the top of the kitchen door where she oversees everything! Kimsel is a beautiful calico with exquisite markings.
