The Boss is in negotiations with the CHEESE HOCKEY LEAGUE. This league consists of famouse and important mice, and they are interested but cautious. Considering the number of mousepucks that get eaten during a game, the CHL commissioner wants reassurances that THEIR hockey players won't get eaten. Seems logical. We hope to have this ironed out by the March schedule.
And speaking of eating Mousepucks, the Commish also received a formal complaint from MOAS (pronounced mouse)-Mousepuck Official Advocacy Syndicate. They think we need to give out fines payable to the OIMP (old & infirmed mousepuck) fund in addition to on ice penalties. I believe the Boss's response was "Give me a break. It's a mouse!" More on that to follow.

Buddy’s Bugle – Final Edition
Hi again everyone. Well, my reign is just about to end and what a great time I've had as your King of January. We’ve shared some laughs and some tears together, just like life itself I guess. Monday I will be passing my crown to your new Queen of February, Queen Vegas. I wish her the best and hope she has as great of a time during her reign as I have had during mine.

In today’s final installment of “Life With The Pawsee”, I want to revisit, and maybe update, some of our experiences this past month. First off, as you know, I did get my Kingly bows from my Pawsee sibs…hehe. (That is still a sore subject with them)…Snowball has been and still is the Snowball we all know. He has been in closets, up on the tv table, the kitchen table and yes, even the armoire again! Robby and Roo still “fight” about who will get to Dad’s lap first and then once there, sharing is not an option . MOL! Chloe still likes drape herself across my pawrents’ shoulders and/or neck. Max is still the loner, and I, your Kingship, is still the most well behaved, purrfect cat around! (Geez, I think a foreign object was just tossed at me…MOL!) Hmmmm?

BTW, Ole Blogger Dad wanted me to thank you all for the suggestions to remove the stains from the living room carpet. After trying everthing under the sun, Dad finally relented and said that it looks like he will have a “pawsee moment mark” on the rug forever..Now I wonder what he meant by that???? Oh yes, before I forget…While Dad was down on his hands and knees trying to get the spot out, one of the group ran and knocked the “resolve” over that he was using..Another mess. Now I’m not gonna be a tattle tale and say who that someone was but I’ll give you all a hint. He had them same colorings as Casper the Ghost…..

“Buddy’s Bugle” – Royal Decree Edition..

Hello Everyone and welcome to another edition of my Bugle. Our weather here in eastern Pa has been pretty nice lately. With clear skies and temps in the mid 40’s F we sure can’t complain. Wow, Jan 23rd already. My reign is coming to it’s last days and soon we will be crowning a new Queen so please keep those votes coming in for our COTM candidate Vegas #10221.

In today’s “Life With The Pawsee” segment I want to tell you about yet another Pawsee House “mishap”. A few mornings ago Blogger Dad was sitting in the living room having his morning coffee and reading the newspaper when all of a sudden with a galloping roar, out runs Snowball and Robby chasing one another. Unfortunately they ended their little run by jumping up on the end table where Dad’s coffee was sitting and, yep! You guessed it, the coffee went flying and spilled all over the light tan living room carpet. Well now, I don’t know if any of you have ever tried to get a hot coffee spill stain out of a light carpet, but it is quite an ordeal. So far nothing Dad has tried, including dish soap, white vinegar and even a stain removal product called One Step even begins to remove the stubborn stains. Needless to say, Robby and Snowball were NOT on the favorites list that morning. MOL! I sure am glad I am so well behaved compared to the rest of the Pawsee…….

“Buddy’s Bugle” – Special Kingdom Edition
Well hello again to all my CC friends. Wow, today is day #15 of my reign as Your King of January. I must apologize for falling behind in my blogs. This month has been crazy around the Pawsee House what with hockey games, both human and feline, and Ole Blogger Dad with his various appts and errands etc. As a result I didn’t get a chance to respond to all of the blogs you nice kittys have sent me so I thought I would send out another Bugle hoping that it will make up for some of my lapses in blogging.

In today’s “Life With The Pawsee” segment I would like to take you back to the beginning of the month when I first became Your King. Some of you may have heard that when I asked my Pawsee subjects to bow before their King (and I only asked them to do this once a day in the morning) they all started rolling around the floor with laughter. “This is definitely no way to treat a King” I thought to myself.
After much thought and planning I came up with an idea. Knowing how much my sibs hate having anything on their paws, especially kitty litter, I decided to spread some on the floor where I was sure they would have to walk thru it to get to the food bowls. And sure enough, when they heard the bowls rattling, they made a mad dash to the kitchen running right thru my kitty litter booby trap. Before they realized it, their paws had kitty litter stuck all over them. They immediately stopped in their tracks and started cleaning the litter off of their paws. To do this they had “bow” their heads really low to lick themselves clean. That’s right, I said Bow, cause that is exactly what they did. As they did this I stood over them and said “you may all rise now my subjects”…Hehe! They were infuriated but none the less, I did get my bows...yep,like I always say, “ he who laughs last, laughs best”. And did I ever laugh…MOL!

I just wanted to take this opportunity to stop in and say thank you so very much to each and everyone of you. From your taking the time to vote for me all through the very busy month of December and then coming back and congratulating me was just so overwhelming to me. And what a great month it was. I really enjoyed bringing "Buddy’s Bugle" to you and meeting many new friends while re-connecting with some of my older ones. I’m hoping we all can stay in contact with one another even after all the “pomp and circumstance” is over.

"Buddy's Bugle" - Final Edition, Vol. XXXl
Hello again everyone. I just can’t believe that today is the last day of my COTM catpaign. I can’t begin to describe how excited I am as the Passing of the Crown ceremony draws near. I was up most of the night trying to figure out what to say at the crowning cermony which will take place at the Catpaign Mews Room #46883 tomorrow morning (New Years Day)at around 8 AM Eastern time . I don’t expect to get much sleep tonight either. And speaking of tonight, I hope you all have a wonderful New Years Eve but please make it a safe one too…

Well, the rain we were supposed to get this morning came in the form of snow, leaving about and inch or so on the ground, enough that Ole Blogger Dad had to get the blower out to clear our driveway and sidewalk. All the precip has stopped now and it’s about 32F so hopefully it won’t get real icy. Yep, I can still hear the weather human saying yesterday,”this (storm) will definitely be a rain event in our area)”.. yeah right !!!

In this, the final “Life With The Pawsee segment we all wanted to something a little special for each of you so we sat down with thinking caps on our heads and pens in our paws and came up with this little poem that we we would like to recite for you now..

Buddy, Robby, Roo, Max, Snowball and Chloe stand side by side, clear their throats, and begin…..

"Buddy's Bugle" - Vol. XXX
Hello again everyone. I have to tell you, I’m so excited as my COTM catpaign has entered the home stretch now. There is light at the end of this tunnel.
Another cold one here in eastern Pa. Not as bad as yesterday though. Now there was a brutal day. We had winds that gusted as high as 50MPH and our high temp never made it out of the 20’s F..Brrrrrr, I get cold just thinking about it. A warm-up is scheduled for today with a high of 36 and not as windy as yesterday.

In today’s “Life With The Pawsee” segment I would like to tell you about some of our favorite things to do. One thing we all enjoy is hiding our furry mice under furniture, beds, hutches etc. The only problem with that is sometimes we “throw” them under so far that we can’t reach them. And actually getting ourselves under the furniture etc. is virtually impossible. So every now and then Dad will have to go around with a yardstick and try and get all of our mice back out. We do enjoy this little activity though and of course, we don’t have go around on our hands and knees trying to get our toys back, Blogger Dad does!! It is kind of funny to watch. Hehehe!
We also love to have “hallway races”. One of our favorites. Right now I would have to give Snowball the edge on those but I’m slowly catching up to him. We are also very intrigued by the “mysterious red dot”. This thing moves all over the place and just as we are about to pounce on it, it seems to disappear for a second and show up someplace else. We have spent quite a bit of time chasing this thing. For some reason it will never show up until Dad is sitting with us. Now that is a mystery to us.
Of course I must say that of all the toys and games we have played with, our #1 all time favorite still has to be the Christmas Tree! Yep, we have had some of our best times hanging on the that fellows branches..MOL!

“Buddy’s Bugle” – Vol. XXIX
Hello again everyone. I hope you are all doing well. It’s a sunny but cold day here in eastern Pa. Our high today is only 28F and we have winds gusting to 35mph. Not too pleasant out there. I’m and indoor cat and really glad of it right now!

In today’s segment of “Life With The Pawsee” I would like to give you a glimse into what is definitely one of the most important times here at the Pawsee house, our meal times. Our noon meal is a little special to us cause that’s when we get some “wet” food mixed in with our dry. We begin handing out hints around 10:30AM and continue doing so right up until we get fed. We each have our own dish so usually all of them are at the same place, our kitchen floor. The exception is the noon meal because Chloe refuses to eat the wet food. My pawrents tried to just give her a bowl with dry only while the rest of us got the mix. The problem there was that some of the Pawsee members would also try and eat her food along with there’s. So now Chloe has a “special room” all to herself for the noon meal. Our Dad puts her bowl of dry food in there for her and closes the door until she is finished eating thus preventing any food thievery. Of course I myself would never think of stealing her food, but then there’s Robby, Roo and Snowball who have no qualms about eating someone else’s meal. MOL! Oh, and did I mention the table manners or lack thereof. Meal time is one of the noisiest times around here. You never heard so much slurping and munching as well as dish rattling! Of course I am very quiet and dignified at meal time but it’s those others…….

"Buddy's Bugle" - Vol XXVIII
Hello again and a Happy Monday to you! A sunny day here in eastern Pa with temps holding in the mid to upper 30’s with some gusty winds. Sure feels a lot cooler than yesterday’s low 50’s temps. As I head into the last week of my catpaign I get more excited with each passing day. Just think, Friday I could become King Of January..Wow! And I couldn’t have made it this far without all of you, my friends. A big Pawsee thank you to you all.

In today’s “Life With The Pawsee” segment I want to tell you about our day yesterday (Sunday). We all were up and about before either of our pawrents were and we were getting hungry. Since our breakfast was late, we decided to have a little fun at our pawrents expense. So to the Christmas tree we went, batting everything we could reach. We had at least 6 or maybe more ornaments knocked down and on the floor. We also bent the lower branches again. This was so funny we could hardly contain our laughter. When we heard our pawrents finally getting up we all sat at the bay window giving them our cute and innocent look. Well, I cannot repeat some of the words they muttered, let’s just say they weren’t NICE words and leave it at that. Again we had to contain ourselves so we wouldn’t laugh out loud.
Yes, we really had a good laugh and were so proud of ourselves but later in the day the unimaginable happened. Our pawrents (The Grinches) took down the Christmas tree and packed it and all the ornaments in boxes and put them away. I still can’t believe they did that. It’s not even New Years Day yet and our tree is gone..Hrummpf!!!!!!
I guess maybe we didn’t get the LAST LAUGH afterall.

“Buddy’s Bugle” – Holiday Weekend Edition
Hello everyone, hope all of you that celebrated Christmas yesterday had a nice one. I sure hope and pray that any of you hit with that terrible weather are all safe and sound. We only got rain here in eastern Pa. In fact, it rained today all day tday too and now all of that foot of snow we had from last week is completely gone!! Gee, no snowcats for us..

In today’s “Life With The Pawsee” segment I want to tell you all about our Pawsee Christmas yesterday. First, we gave our pawrents an early present. We let them sleep in yesterday morning. Yep, we didn’t wake them until 5AM. Now how about that? I could tell just by their expressions that they really appreciated our generous early Christmas gift to them. MOL! Then we all dashed out to see if Santa Paws came to see us. And guess what? He did! He left all kinds of presents for us. We got a cuckoo clock that hangs on a doorknob and it had a fuzzy mouse that dangled from it. And it was the darndest thing, everytime we would bat at the mouse it would climb up to the clock. We also got another fuzzy mouse but this one moves. It goes front, back, sideways, all over the place..We really got our exercise for the day with that one. We got stockings full of fuzzy mice and catnip toys and some wand toys. Everything was going so good and then it happened. The doorbell rang and in came our hooman brother and his wife with their two little hoomans.. One was 5 yrs old and the other, 6 months old. Well, that ended our fun for the day. We all made a beeline for the beds and hid under then. We don’t like little hoomans cause they like to carry us around and sometimes grab our fur, so we always make a hasty exit whenever they come to visit. Now I ask you, is that a way to spend Christmas? We did retaliate later in the evening though. After they went home we were successfull in knocking a few more balls down from the Christmas tree..Hehehe. .
