Spending time with his memory yesterday meant quite a few sad moments, yet through the tears my funny little guy still found ways to make me smile. HONORING PAPPOOSE KNIGHT'S FOREVER SLEEP♥

EUGENE, OREGON WEATHER REPORT:
The temperature was high 68 & low was 33 this morning, now it's 66 with humidity 37% & wind is 15 MPH N. Wednesday's suppose to be Sunny & High 76.

♥ My little PAPPOOSE #10366 came to our back yard about October 2006 (a few months) after my Six's 10139 Forever Sleep in July 2006. PAPPOOSE was no more than 6 months old when she first started coming here. She was curious about the back room as I called her to come in. After a few trips of coming inside, I decided she was going to stay and be an inside girl. She became my next favorite baby and she eventually became my shadow.

♥ She was Honored to become COTM QUEEN of HEARTS♥ of February 2012. We both enjoyed doing her Catpaign, too, and met so many new friends as well as old ones!!!

♥ Come April 4, 2012 she became very sick so I got her in to see Dr. Nancy that day. They did bloodwork which she was diagnosed with Feline Leukemia. With the help of so many CC friends, I was able to get the other 7 inside kitties in to be tested on 4/12, but Thankfully they all tested Negative!!! PAPPOOSE was re-tested again on 4/14 and still tested Positive.

♥ The days went by and PAPPOOSE'S health continued to deteriate. When she was no longer able to get around, I had to make that hard decision to have a Mobile Vet come to our home to help PAPPOOSE with her Forever Sleep on April 24, 2012!!! She went so quickly from the time she tested Positive on 4/14 and ended her precious life on 4/24 at a young age of 6 years old!!!

♥ To this day, I still have a hard time with missing my SPECIAL girl and still get teary-eyes!!! Well, I could go on and on, but I know I don't have the writing space here. Thank you all for your loving prayers.

i think u know others in my family and u came by for my cotd, i dont visit much as i disappeared and momma just doesnt know for sure if i am an angel or not even tho she calls me one for closure for me as well.

well it looks like spring has finally sprung here in georgia at my earth home, right along with the storms they are callin for tomorrow. what a busy streak momma has had. with josiemae as queen and now the dealership selling lots of cars and momma too busy to get with car deals to get lunch break and really tired by time she gets home. i have missed blogging and glad to be back visiting my friends.
gma has made an appointment with her doctor to see what she needs to do or change for her condition
momma bought bell pepper, jalapeno pepper and onion plants yesterday as well as a new catnip plant and some spicy galore basil and squash and cucumbers. will go for mater plants this weekend

momma got some little pills and nose spray from her doctor for her allergy and feels much better for now. just hope it holds. pollen is bad here now

Thanks for the birthday and COTD wishes!!!! I had a great birthday yesterday, Mom took me outside to sit in the nice sun, and I had special treats and tuna, overall a great day, sun and napping!!! I was so happy I am COTD today, I told Mom I wanted more tuna and to go out with her again, but she said she has to work so ok to tuna, but no to outside (its nice today, but if you can believe it, we are supposed to get a foot of snow tonight and tomorrow ...YUCK) Hope you have a great day!!! As many of you know, 17 year old Minnie D Purrl crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Tuesday 4/2. Minnie was a member of a wonderful family of cats known as the Windy Point Gang.

We’re choosing to copy Dad Mike’s exact words that he used to tell us she had crossed--

“She was losing her battle with Hyperthyroidism and her quality of life had decreased dramatically over the last five days. This afternoon Minnie was assisted by our vet, Dr Madsen and myself on her journey. She was 17 years old when she passed.

It is particularly sad for me because Minnie had given me a litter of seven Easter Kitties when she was only 9 months old. I always celebrated Mother's Day with her on Easter. (Sigh...) This year we celebrated with some baby food that I held for her since she was too weak to stand and eat.

Minnie leaves behind her boyfriend Tiger Mann, who is the last of the original Windy Pointers...and of course, her sad Dad.”

Minnie is now a member of the Windy Point Angels #237234, those members of the Windy Point Gang who are now Angels at the Rainbow Bridge. We learned that this special group of Angels has never received their COTD badge, and we want to change that by making them our COTD winner on 4/6. Even though they haven’t been very active lately, Angel Chloe is a long time member of CC and was our December 2008 Queen. After Chloe crossed the Rainbow Bridge in January 2011, her Mom Barb decided to adopt a beautiful calico cat named Lucy. Thank you so much for stopping by to visit me on my Adopti-Day and COTD Celebration. Thank you for the basket of toys, FF Elegant Entries and the soft blankie, but most of all, thank you for your furiendship and kind words. We all know how special our furever family's are.

On my Adopti-Day, something quite unusual happened! One of the outside kitties that my Mama has been feeding for 10 months was in our heated cathouse in the garage with a one week old calico kitten. The funny thing was, Mama thought the Mother cat, Peek-A-Boo, was a boy kitty. She never got close enough for my Mama to tell otherwise. :) She named her Peek-A Boo because she always peeked around the corner at Mama. She noticed Peek-A-Boo suddenly put on a lot of weight and she suspected then that Peek-A-Boo was a girl cat instead of a boy. (no joke)! Then about a week later, Peek-A-Boo was skinny again. Mama figured that her kittens may have died. When Mama saw her, she was shocked to see Peek-A-Boo nursing a tiny baby kitten. Our Mama has never bottle fed a kitten, so she hopes Peek-A-Boo will be a good Mom and keep her baby safe in our garage till she gets a little older. I guess Mama's got her work cut out for her now...hee,hee.

We decided to travel to Ireland to find a fine Irish Kitty to be our St. Patrick’s Day COTD on March 17th! And, lo and behold, we found a family of cats who have been CC members for over five years. Millie #60253 is the Queen of this family. She came to live with her Mom after her Mom’s dog crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Her Mom’s sister brought Millie to her as a gift to help her heal. Millie was joined later by a brother Dinny and a sister Rihanna. She loves to explore the great outdoors and is quite an escape artist. Who could blame her wanting to spend time in the beautiful Irish fields and gardens? Let’s make this a very special St. Patrick’s day for Millie and her family by leaving her a vote on Saturday so she can become our St. Patrick’s Day COTD!

♥ Ebbonny loved laying on his dad's while dad was sitting in his rocker. Even when dad wasn't home, Ebbonny would lay on his rocker at times. He also loved lying above dad's head when asleep in bed.

The temperature was high 55 & low was 32 this morning, now it's 53 with humidity 61% & wind is 8 MPH N. Saturday's suppose to be Mostly Sunny☼ & High 56.

"The honor of your presence is requested at a memorial service
to celebrate the life of Angel Maggie."

The memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 7:00 PM (EST) [4:00 PM PST]

Please join us on Angel Maggie's CC page (#78317).
The service will be held by the park and duck pond nearby her home, where Maggie liked to walk and feed the birds.
A buffet dinner will be served by the water.

Angel Maggie's Dad will be speaking at the start of the service.
We ask our furiends to feel free to speak of any memories you may have of our dear Angel Maggie.

Most of you know Boo Kitty and her Mom Jane as the creators of the beautiful frames that many of you have received when you were a COTD winner! Boo Kitty came to live with her pawrents Jane and Rudy when she was just a wee kitten, and it didn’t take long for her to capture their hearts, followed by all of ours once we were introduced to this sweet Ragdoll! Boo Kitty has been having a few health issues lately but her pawrents are doing their best to make sure she gets lots of TLC as she recovers. Wouldn’t it be great to show Boo Kitty how much we love her and care about her by making her our Valentine's Day COTD? We know it would bring lots of cheer to her and to her Mom Jane to see that pretty face of hers in our winner’s frame!
