How We Met
We found her in the tirewell of our car on a cold late fall day and the tender age of 14 weeks old. No owners were found and she has been with us ever since. *Won COTD on 07-16-09. Won CROTD on 8/7/2011. Thanks everyone.* :)

1/21/13 A Frosty MLK Day to you from Minnesota!
Good Morning from Barney--- and a Super Frosty one here -8, with a windchill of -25! The coldest night in over a year for us! Zeus better not try sneaking out today or he will have a big surprise.. The rest of us plan to stay snuggled in our nap spots for some time to come! I have heard a lot of humans have the day off for the Martin Luther King holiday and mom would, if she was still working. As it is, she is going out for lunch with some teacher friends, who do have the day off. They are picking her up this afternoon, so all she has to do is bundle up!
Well, to finish up Hefty's story, when mom got him, she had no intention of putting him in the adoption program. Our last Siamese mix had crossed the Bridge almost a year before and mom insisted she cannot live without a Siamese. I do love my brother Hefty, but to say we couldn't live without him--- hmmmmm---- not sure... We are not exactly sure of Hefty's age, but he has to be in his teens. His weight is his only issue and its going nowhere fast. Mom tries to feed him less and he seems to nap more. Exercise is not his forte, other than Mouse Hockey, of course. Mom tries the wand toys and he rolls over on his back to kick at it. Now Zeus jumps in so fast, there is no contest! Well, Hefty, like the rest of us, gets lots of TLC, and mom does her best to get him moving, so you won't hear him complaining any time soon.
Today we do want to ask you to get your COTD votes in for our friend Crush #244193, a beautiful and mellow kitty, who plays hockey on the OC team. Zeus is particularly excited, as this is a teammate of his.
Have a wonder-filled day wherever you are, keep warm, and we will see you tomorrow! Besides events for the MLK Holiday, it is also Inauguration Day for the human President of our country. No matter what your views, it is a very historical event. EUGENE, OREGON WEATHER REPORT:
The temperature was high 52 & low was 43 this morning, now it's 52 with humidity 71% & wind is 10 MPH S. Monday's suppose to be Showers & High 49.

♥ Mom still has a lot of sadness in her heart♥ since Aunt Samantha 15442 was killed in August by those two Pit Bulls. The only kitty that will sleep on the patio is Suezee 11528. Mom goes out on the patio and she tells dad that the patio is so empty without seeing Aunt Samantha as well as Velvet 10732. NeuBee 123633 and Sylvester 11567 is hardly ever out in the back yard anymore as well. They stay in the front as does TaumKat, too. Little noises still keeps the other outside kits on alert!!!!
♥ Our doggie sister Carly (#11000 DC) has slacked off on her Prescription Diet w/d can food the last couple days so therefore she gets her insulin cut back.
♥ We want to say Thank You for so many who has showed interest in the "Antifreeze" information and even shared some comments with stories back to us.

I´m really glad to know you had such a wonderful time celebrating your birthday, dear kitty.
There have been lots of things happening around here at home. We´re so sorry because we were not able to write over the last days.
We had some heavy storms and they left us without power during two days. Mom & Dad are really glad because our stray kitty friends, Miss Sally and Kit are both doing well after their surgeries. They come for their food along with the other cats almost everyday.
Something wonderful happened on Friday: Grandma bought a plant of real catnip for us!! Woo-hoo!! You can see two pictures of me smelling it at the bottom of my page.
Sally and I sure had a blast with the catnip!! We ate it, smelled it and did kangaroo jumps in the air. (MOL!)
We are absolutely crazy about catnip!! I´ve been also having a pawesome time at Catopia with King Bennie, Vika and all our fur friends. We´ve discovered the butterflies and the catnip fields exploring the planet and even got a gold medal at the Catolympics.
I´m doing my happy dance. I hope you have a wonderful week. I send you 1.000.000 whiskers kisses and extra special purrs...

☼ Wednesday purrs & hugs ☼
You're very welcome for the birthday wishes Jag. We're glad you had a pawsome day!
This is supposed to be our last 90+ degree day for a while. Storms are predicted to come our way tonight & tomorrow followed by a cool down with temps only getting into the 70s. Our outside crew will all go bonkers with happiness when that happens…MOL! Sassee & kittens are all doing great & have been playing in the back yard since mom fed them this morning. Big Yellow, Gracie & Monster are watching but Joseph & Adam are sometimes joining in the game so they can watch the kittens’ fur poof up when they jump out at them…MOL! Patches & I are doing great, although I’m starting to get bored because Zaboo still isn’t playing with me at least once a day like he normally does. He ate 1 ½ cans of Fancy Feast yesterday plus nibbled on the Blue Buffalo food that mom got him so I keep hoping he’ll continue to do well so he’ll be more energetic again. When I’m bored I get into things…MOL! I opened all of mom’s floor level kitchen cabinets yesterday while she was gone so as soon as she walked in I heard “Trixie Pixie…what have you been up to?” Well that’s a silly question mom…I was amewsing myself…MOL! This morning I was removed from the shelf in the living room as I walked along it, put on the cat tree & told to watch birds for a while & stay out of trouble. “Geesh mom”, I meowed softly, “I was careful to step over the pretties this time so I wasn’t hurting anything by exploring that area.” I put my paw on her cheek & gave her my sweetest kiss but I was put into cat tree time-out anyway! Oh well…at least the hummingbirds are flitting around getting their morning nectar & (yawn) I’m starting to get a little sleepy anyway. Oh but wait…little sis & bro haven’t had their morning purrs from me yet so have to do that before I nap! I look pitifully at mom & she sighs as she tells me I can go play again IF I can be good. You don’t have to tell this kitty twice! I’m off to get my attention from the kids & then I think a good run might be in order just to let mom know that you can’t keep a good cyclone calm for too long…MOL!
