It was so wonderful to hear from you! Are the four of you watching a Bird Sitter DVD? Every picture is priceless. You are all gorgeous! We wanted to come by with warm hellos. It’s HOT, HOT, HOT here. We’ve been really lazy today. Our activities include watching the birds out front & checking out our new family room furniture. We have a couch, love seat, chair & a half [It's actually called that] plus an ottoman. The furniture is HUGE and ever so fluffy. We're trying to move around A LOT to check out every square inch! There’s room for about 2 dozen kitties. Purr-haps we can plan a P A R T Y in July when the room is completely finished. MOL! We'll have to get Mom to snap some photos to post when everything is done. We hope you’re having a spectacular Tuesday.

Dearest Ragdolls,

Hello!!! First, please accept our apologies for this cut & paste and second, for our prolonged absence from daily blogging. Our secretary has finally reached a point where she promises to be more attentive to helping us keep in touch with all our friends. We’ve been keeping her very busy. The three of us went to the Dr. Bob three weeks ago for our yearly exam. Lelu did fine other than being extremely traumatized. Amber gained 2 pounds. She’s had a run of serious eye infections, so they did a Herpes eye test on her to see if it's contagious and/or what medication will work best for her. The test came back negative which was great. Mom has to put artificial tears in her eyes to keep them lubricated. My folks were very concerned with me because I’ve been throwing up after I eat. When Dr. Bob touched my throat I started gagging. He said that I wasn’t throwing up my meals but regurgitating the food because of asthma. Dr. Bob did a chest X-ray on me which confirmed the asthma, showed I had the beginning of arthritis [it must be from the Mouse Hockey] and that my heart was enlarged. My folks had to wait over a week for the results of the cardiac workup to come back. The end result was that I have an enlarged heart which they will keep an eye on but I don’t have to do anything else. Mom has emptied the house of Yankee candles, perfume & air fresheners as not to trigger the asthma. Mom is finally calming down. The funny thing is that everyone calls me lover boy because I’m the most affectionate. It must be why God gave me an extra large heart. MOL!

Here is our recipe for today. Keep in mind, if you miss a recipe they will always be posted on the CMR page and also on my page!

SARDINE HEAVEN

1 can sardines in oil

2/3 cup of rice (cooked)

Liver

Parsley and/or turmeric

Add all ingredients together. You may wish to cook the ingredients, depending on whether your cats like fresh meat or cooked meat. Store unused portion in fridge.

Thanks to everyone for my COTD today! Evidently, Nika was running for COTD, and I know she really deserves her COTD Badge. Please forgive me as I never even thought about winning COTD with all the excitement of running for COTM. I am so sorry Nika! As most of you know, for my Catpaign for COTM I have decided to give everyone a new recipe everyday to make their own Kitty Kook Book! Here is today's offering! Enjoy! (If your kitty doesn't like it, and you like sardines, eat up!)

SARDINE SOUP
2 canned sardines

Pat of butter

1 cup water

Few stalks of watercress

Fish sauce (optional)

Put the sardines and the pat of butter into a heavy-based frying-pan and place on a medium heat. As the pan warms and the butter melts, mash the sardines into it. When the butter has completely melted, pour in the water and stir as it comes to a boil. Thoroughly shred the watercress and toss into the pan. Remove the pan from the heat and allow to cool. Puree, and add a dash of fish sauce.

It's been awhile since I meowed and I'm sorry about that.
How have you all been doing? We hope everything is good and everyone is fine.
We love your pictures they are so pretty and you all are just beautiful. We especially like the ones where you are watching tv.
How is your mom coming along with the ferals, Grayboy and Shadow? We're sure in time they will come to trust her and she will be able to pet them, us ferals have a hard time getting used to humans..we eventually will though. We know you mom has alot of patience and thats what it takes, sometimes it seems like it will never happen and then one day they let you touch them.
That is such a good feeling and an accomplishment :)

Little Sylvr’s fur mom, Kittzi, began stopping by the Knight family, eventually realizing the benefits of regular meals. Lillian Knight won over Kittzi by encouraging her to come everyday for food & offering backyard shelter. Kittzi Knight, seeing what a good thing joining the Knights could be, not only took her up on the offer, she brought the Knights a little surprise in early Nov. 2009! Kittzi Knight showed up with her baby Sylvr Tuff, estimated to be about 3 months of age. Kittzi let Sylvr know this was where they would live from now on! As the months passed by, Sylvr Tuff Knight & her cat mom Kittzi, not only settled into the Knight routine, they learned to love playtime with Mom Lillian, developing enough trust to let Lillian take them both for their big girl surgeries.

Sylvr Tuff Knight is the youngest member of the Knight outdoor all Girl Power Crew (GPC) & true to her being a kitten, loves to play! Knight Mom Lillian plays toss, pounce & fetch with Sylvr Tuff #160205 at least twice a day, even in the rain. Knight Mom tosses a toy & Sylvr pounces, Mom fetches & the game continues!! MOL!! Sylvr now comes to the patio everyday where Mom Lillian keeps a small green basket of toys on the ground where they stay dry. Sylvr will paw at the toys, snatching one by one out, throwing them up in the air, ready to pounce on them when they fall to the ground. Sylvr loves to play! Sylvr’s fur mama, Kittzi sometimes watches & when Mom Lillian isn't outside to play, Ktitzi will play with Sylvr on the patio, showing her how to climb all over the kitty tree condos! As you can see, the entire Knight Family knows how to have kitty fun! It is such a pleasure to do something nice like a COTD catpaign for such a wonderful CC family of amazing rescue cats! We all know the daily prayer blogs & list kept by Rhoamin Knight, not to mention the love & concern the Knights have provided to cats on CC going back to the “early days” of the CC community. Jim Chandler lived a full life in his 70 years. Yes, he was a devoted Dad to his 4 fur babies, the Sunshine kitties. He was also a father and step father. Jim was a dedicated friend, he was a published writer and poet, he was an electrical engineer by education, he was a musician, he was a Reiki practioner(healing), he was a veteran, he was a biker with a giving heart, he was a Christian with a pastor's license to perform weddings and baptisms for close friends and family, he was a dedicated gardener and proud of his butterfly gardens. Jim mastered the art of walking gently in this world with a generous & open heart & we were blessed to have him in our cat channel community. We miss you Jim but we know you are Home in Heaven. As a tiny starving 15 week old kitten, Shuei was discovered one winter before Christmas hiding in the shoot of his dad’s snowblower. Shuei’s human brother C.J. happened to be outside and heard a noise, finding the starving kitten. Mr. Shuei is happy to have a place called home where he is affectionately known as Mommy’s little love bug and “little shoe”! Shuei is a great mouser and incredibly takes toys out of his toy box for playtime and then puts them back when he is finished playing! What a well mannered sweetheart! He loves to play with his older sister Mika and gives his mom lots of purr therapy to feel better about Mistoffolees, their 13 year old Maine Coon who is ailing. His Mom has been crying a lot because she is afraid Mistoffolees may cross the Bridge soon. Shuei and his siblings give their Mom lots of loving kitty support and are grateful to be part of such a caring family! Hi all you beautiful Dolls!
Thank you for your congratulations. I am so thrilled to receive my second COTD Badge today, as it was exactly one year ago I received my first.

It doesn’t seem possible an entire year has passed; so many events this past year—some happy, some sad—and I am humbled to have been here through them all. May all of you be blessed, as I have been, with true and caring furrends. It was the prayers of furrends that helped me get better.

Hope mom is doing ok. Putting away groceries with help from the Gang. Place bags on counter. Go out and bring more in from the truck. Zippi and Taz are in the bags wiggling around, back out. Box of asperins on the floor,Missy up now sitting in the sink watching. More bags,OG is now on the counter sniffing thru the bags. Missy walking thru now. Take some things out of the bag, Zippi has paws around dads hands, Taz is pushing the butter across the counter,OG is yowling, Missy back in sink. Dad leaves kitchen. POP..Click,scrape.(Fancy Feast can opening.)The gang is bunched. Dad returns quickly to the kitchen as the gang will return when the food is gone. Put away groceries with a big smile.Will dad return to the cabinet? Will the gang return to the scene of the deception? Will Missy ever get out of the sink. THANK YOU FOR STOPPING BY & CELEBRATING WITH US!
Sunday was such a special day for us, we served (and ate) ice cream all day long! We had vanilla flavor, catnip flavor, peach, watermelon, all sorts of exotic flavors, and Simba even whipped up a tuna & shrimp flavor, MOL! Thank you for coming by and helping make my COTD celebration such a fun day!

I was found and taken into the home of a lady who had never had an inside-only cat before. She said I was the one who made her a "cat purrson", HeHe! She loved me so much that she adopted 5 other kitten rescues to be my fur family. I wish for blessing for all who take in the strays, rescues, fosters, and shelter kitties!

Thanks for stopping by. How are y'all? I am feeling much better. I still sleep a lot but that is probably because I am bored since Mommy won’t let me go outside yet. It has been 13 weeks since I have played in our backyard. Mommy said let’s wait until it gets a little cooler weather & then I can go out. So I am waiting patiently, playing with my toys, & watching the birdies from my windowseat. My pretty white fur is growing back nicely too, just my tail is still skinny but hopefully it will be full & fluffy again soon. Have a meowy Monday. Purrs to you, Prince Casper Todd the Brave
