Employing the services of a mobile cat veterinarian can be the easiest way for cat owners to provide cat health care to cats. "The cat owner can be at home doing other things, rather than waiting in cat vet office," said Jessica A. Rankin, DVM, of the Caring For Cats Housecall Service in Los Angeles. The cat owner doesn't have to struggle to put the cat in a box, listen to it cry all the way to the hospital or expose the cat to upper respiratory viruses and other contagious diseases. "The veterinarian can also spend more time with the cat owner and the pet," Rankin said. "It is a much more personalized service."

I thought a mobile vet sounded like a good idea, too. Wrong!! My cat was furious that he and his vet tech were invading her territory and she reacted worse than ever before. She turned into a screaming, whirling, 14-pound ball of fury!! Now that how she is every time we go to the vet's office; the home experience just made things worse. Now she has to be put under anesthesia before they can even take her out of her carrier!

Interesting concept. Great if you have lots of animals.
