Our new feline friend, Spaz |
This past Memorial Day weekend
Stitch went to my parents’ house to enjoy basking in the sunlight on their balcony and to chill out with the oceanside view. My husband and I traveled to the Central Bay Area to enjoy the Santa Cruz boardwalk and the Winchester Mystery House.
Stitch has actually been at my parents’ house for about two weeks now, and I must admit that everyone in our house misses him. A house without a cat is just so empty, and some people (me) get pretty cranky without a furry friend around. Thankfully he comes home Friday.
But, while on our weekend out, my husband and I met a fabulous, fun cat named Spaz. One morning I heard a meowing. I knew Spaz was an outdoor-indoor cat so I walked around the room trying to see if she was stuck inside a room or if she was outside at one of the doors. I found her at the front door asking to be let in.
As soon a she came in she dashed to her food bowl and then soon came over to say hi. It was such a treat to have a cat to pet and play with. My husband was down on the ground playing with her. She also followed me upstairs and then back downstairs when I went up to grab my cell phone. She really made our morning fun, and I think she appreciated having someone to play with since her owners were also away for the weekend.
Have any of you been lucky to get a cat fix while you were away from your kitties overnight?
