Stitch has found a way to curl up around my stomach and take a nap on my lap. |
I’m currently 26 weeks pregnant and seem to be growing bigger and bigger each week. Stitch has been learning to readjust how he lies down on my lap now. Lately he’s found that if he hooks his paw underneath and around my stomach he can lay his head up against it and be comfortable. Although, considering the things he usually sleeps on, I think he’d find a way to be comfortable in any situation.
The other night my husband and I were sitting on the couch watching TV and Stitch was curled up around my stomach on my lap. Then I felt the baby kick right where Stitch’s head was lying on my stomach. Stitch woke up with a surprised “Meow?” and looked around confused. He then shot both my husband and me an accusing glare before he laid his head back down to resume his nap.
My husband and I were both laughing. Stitch cracked open an eye to look at us and I tried to explain that it was the baby that had woken him up and not us. I don’t think he believed me. The baby’s movements are strong enough, but just wait until they’re full on force in a couple of weeks. Stitch is really going to be confused then.
