Does the World's Ugliest Cat Have Bear Counterpart?

Dolores, a spectacled bear, has suddenly lost her fur. Ugly Bat Boy, below, has always looked like this.

I saw this photo of a bald spectacled bear at the Leipzig zoo in Germany — and all I could think of was the world's ugliest cat.

Ugly Bat Boy, a vet clinic cat in New Hampshire, was dubbed the world's ugliest cat earlier this year and became a media sensation.

Poor Dolores, a bear typically covered in shaggy fur, has shed her coat for some myserious reason, as has fellow female zoo bear Lolita.

Hopefully Dolores and Lolita will regrow their fur coats and regain their good looks soon. Ugly Bat Boy is destined to remain hairless, except for his shaggy mane.
